I am too fit to be tied! I moved in this neighborhood 4 months ago. I personally know some of the employees by name. Today I walk in with my work badge on and greet Jackie by name. A few conversations with her. Enough to know she has been ill. Every time I came into the store, I would inquire about her and her health. Again, today I walk in to get items I wanted (not needed) and my husband called me. I asked if he wanted anything from here, he did. The entire time I notice this little man walking down every aisle I am in. I purposely paused to see what his next move would be. I look straight ahead and he is looking at me through the hair dye aisle. I questioned to myself if he was watching me. My next move was to calmly put each and every item back nicely. I went to the front door and told Jackie I will not be returning into that store ever! She give me the excuse he was exercising. I told her I understand him getting his exercising but not in the store walking around with a bat. So I got into my brand new truck and went to my brand new home, to write this review. We must do things for ourselves!
They have a lot of products. Prices are okay-ish. They would benefit from a bigger location. But all in all Im giving them 5 stars because the customer service was excellent. The woman was very kind and helpful.
First and last visit. I came for a simple drawstring ponytail which they have high up on the walls and wont allow you to look at them. I cant make a decision without seeing the hair up close. There was an old man at the front, I came in with my 1 year old toddler who decided to pick up a nail file. As I was taking it out of his hand and putting it back hes telling my son that its not a toy. Its a cheap $1.00 nail file and I was literally taking it out of his hand when he was saying it. He needs to relax. I felt like I was being watched as well. I just didnt like the whole vibe of the store especially with no variety. I was in there for less than 10 minutes. No point in coming back.
It was the only place in the area I could find perm rods.. The lady running the store was very nice and the store was very organize, with reasonable prices . I would definitely return for many of my salon needs..
BEWARE, I am writing this review because if you are African American you will be watched more so than other ethnicities. They made us feel very uncomfortable when we do go in there twice a year. I hate to go in there anyway but it’s the only hair store in the area. We should not feel discriminated against, our money is as good and should be trusted just the same if others while we are shopping. I honestly HATE going in there even a couple times a year. I want others to step up and open other Ethnicity Hair stores that way we don’t feel we have to shop at there store because it is within a 30mile radius, just a thought. If it was a Zero on the scale I would give them that. It is 2020 and the same treatment makes me feel like I was in the 1920s.
The women who work here are awesome but today the man asked me (as I was SWIPING my card) if my card was a chip. I said no. He said what kind of card is it. I asked him why. He ignored me and said is it Visa or MasterCard? I said Visa. I use it here all the time. He said let me see. I said no! Why do you need to see my card? He would not service me as a result. This man is not friendly at all. He never says hello when you come up to the counter to pay. I just chalked it up to him just being a bitter old man. But today he was inappropriate and entitled. I don’t care how convenient his location is. I don’t spend hard earned money where I’m not respected. Just thought y’all should know.
They have so much good beauty supplies at a great price. Customer service was fast and friendly.
Jackie is very helpful, but she is not there all the time. The man who is mostly at the store has absolutely no customer service skills. It is like pulling teeth getting him to assist/answer question. Furthermore, I asked them to order a wig, they agreed, but never ordered it! I now go to Dania Beauty Supply in Garner. The owner Adam is warm and helpful. Plus the store has a wider variety and is open 7 days a week. I do not like to spend my money where I am not welcomed.
Very well organized! Management is truly a blessing. They assist and make sure youre assisted with whatever your needs are. Encouraging and a ray of hope. Wide Variety of merchandise and reasonable prices
They’ll follow you around the store and stare at you while you shop.
Ladies are nice every visit. However the man came down aisle as I was pulling out my cell phone out my back pocket to look up some information on a product on the bottom shelf and said he’s watching me on camera. I kindly put everything back and will never return. Rude! Period.
I went there after work today. The ladies in the shop were so very nice! Very pleasant and helpful!
I payed the rest of my wig with quarters and the lady laughed at my face and called me poor! She was very rude. The customer service Sucks.
Always have the hair supplies I need.
I Would like to know what kind of mousse do they have for African-American hair.
Shopped here for years but I will drive to Durham, Raleigh or shop online instead. It is small which makes it difficult to look around. Never have the hair color desired. I Was told couple of times that a wig would be ordered for me and never did. Very impersonal and customer service needs to improve. It was not until I purchased something the service improved. Spending my money else where.
It was good the ladys help me with what I needed
Love this place. The staff is so nice, and will help with anything you need.
Selection is decent but very crowded. Staff was very rude and made me feel uncomfortable while trying to shop
Because they are the only beauty supply in Fuquay the places are a bit outrages but the owners are great
Prices too high. Start supporting my ppl
