Fuquay Eye Center is fantastic. My frames broke and they were fixed for free even though I had not purchased them there. I made an appointment for an eye exam and I got one for the following day. The staff is very friendly and the practice has state of the art equipment. Dr. Patrick ODowd is very thorough, listens to your concerns and answers your questions clearly.

I’ve been going to this eye dr for 3 or 4 years and Dr. Pat has always been good to me. We laugh he asks about life and gets down to business. I appreciate how he thoroughly explains the difference in my prescription from year to year. The staff in the front has always been friendly to me and my son. I wouldn’t go anywhere but here for my eyesight needs.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Patrick O’Dowd for many years. He listens to my concerns and always takes time to explain things in an easy to understand way. I feel that Dr. Patrick has a true interest in the health of my eyes and not just selling me a pair of glasses. I’ve always been happy with my prescriptions however (unlike with other practitioners I’ve seen in the past) and with the quality of my glasses.The staff are friendly and professional and the office is clean (all the staff is vaccinated against COVID-19) and has a good selection of frames. The staff are helpful when choosing frames and never pushy.I highly recommend Dr. Patrick and his staff and trust them to look after my and my family’s eye care.

I went to this place based on the good reviews but I had a terrible experience. My eye exam was ok but the problem started when I asked for a copy of my eye glass prescription. They did not want to give me the prescription and even tried to pass my visit summary as my prescription. Then they tried to tell me to come back and get my Rx after 24 hours. I have been wearing glasses for 10+ years and NEVER had to leave without a copy of prescription at the end of my visit. I had to explain to these people that the law REQURIES them to give me my Rx immediately following my visit. I had to argue with multiple people and demand to get my prescription, which is unacceptable. I ended up waiting an additional 45 minutes in the waiting area to finally get a copy of my prescription. I was planning on having my entire family go to this place for eye care but there is no way we are EVER going back after this experience.Just an FYI for those who dont know:The Federal Trade Commission enforces the Eyeglass Rule. It requires eye doctors — ophthalmologists and optometrists — to give patients a copy of their prescription – whether they ask for it or not. Its the law. If your eye doctor is refusing to comply with this law, you can report it online.

Dr. Pat is great! Been a patient here for many years and highly recommend this practice. Never feel rushed and always come away thankful for doctors who care and explain what’s happening with my sight.

I love the doctors. They are fabulous. The receptionists are amazing. Nice clean facility. I will never buy glasses there again though. Both my children have had issues with their glasses we received from Fuquay Eye Care. One kid I will need to buy a completely new set for because his kid frames are the size of my adult ones. These are the ones they told me would work for my 1 year old. The other kids frames and lenses didnt fit together correctly and we had to send them back this took weeks. When we got them back they were better, but still dont fit together completely like they should.

Fuquay Eye Care is the best eye care office I have ever been to. I take my 97 yr. old mother here and they roll out the red carpet and make her feel so special and cared for. Dr. Patrick has the patients of a saint and the best “bed side manner” you will ever encounter. He takes all the necessary time and you never feel hurried. He truly has a caring spirit and is such an excellent physician. I wouldn’t take mom ANYWHERE else! He’s the best!

I brought my 93 yo mom to her appt. The front desk ladies were very nice and helpful. Tanya, who took us back for some testing, was friendly and very understanding with Mom. Dr. Pham was wonderful, explaining procedures and taking as much time as we needed to understand what she planned to do to help Mom’s vision. Yolanda was so patient as Mom was trying to decide which frames to choose. All of this kind and respectful treatment was so appreciated because my mom is also hearing impaired, which makes things doubly difficult with masks. What could have been a very stressful situation for us was made as comfortable as possible due to the kindness and patience of all these people. I am very grateful, as is Mom.

Super Friendly & Helpful Staff!I was called back on time and the Dr. Pham took the time to explain the transition of my eyes with aging and all my options.Crystle was extremely kind and helpful with my eye wear selection and questions. She also took the time to walk me through the different options with my benefit plan with my transition from contacts to eye glasses.

Dr. ODowd and staff are caring, friendly and patient. They worked to make sure all my questions were answered. When selecting glasses, the staff took my budget into account and worked to find stylish glasses that were affordable.

Took my 14 year old here to get a form filled out for drivers training. They were so fast, friendly, and efficient, I was truly impressed. Also the atmosphere is stylish and comfortable. Whats more, they caught a slight need for reading glasses that was causing just enough strain to keep her from reading much that will now be fixed. Highly recommend!

Dr. Patrick takes with you and explains everything. Yolonda helped me find a pair of frames. She took her time and I didnt feel rushed. I must have tired on about 15 frames, but she never let me feel rushed for being so picky.

I was given a new patient appointment on the same day I called for my eye problem. Was treated with kindness, friendliness, and respect. Dr Pham was very nice explained everything to me and I felt extremely comfortable with her. I will go back to this practice for my regular eye exams.

Tonight I had the most wonderful experience here. I have seen Dr. Patrick O’Dowd for myself, but in an emergency situation needed to take my 5 month old son and I could not have been more appreciative. Luckily the doctor is open late on Thursday, but took my call and my son at 7:45 pm before they closed to that I could be settled! The doctor was kind, patient and went above and beyond to make sure that my son (and of course me as a momma) were fine. If they didn’t already have me as a patient, they would now!

Very nice staff, they allow for trials with contacts before you order so you know youre getting the best for you. Their exam equipment is better than other places as well.

Why one star? Great question, let me answer it for you. First, setting an appointment took weeks. Once I arrived, I was kindly greeted, did the paper work and waited for the doctor. While waiting their sales people became really pushy with their glasses. I simply told them that I order my glasses online. They became pretty rude and started discrediting the online vendors instantly. I shrugged it off, I get it they want to sell their frames. The eye doctor seem very rushed and quite frankly a little pushy and rude too. I tried on the contact she recommended because after all she knows whats best, but they were awful. I asked them if I could go back to my original contact and here is where it all went south. They needed to get approval from the doctor or schedule another eye exam. I dont know why another eye exam would be needed since Ive been wearing the same brand for 10+ years. They never got back to me (after they said they would check) so I called after 2 weeks. They said the doctor approved my previous brand of contacts and they ordered my contacts....or at least they took my credit card number and charged it. I called back after 17 days and asked about my order and if they knew when my contacts would be arriving. Here is where it gets good....THEY SAID I NEVER ORDERED THEM! COMO WHAT!? I know right...they took my credit card number, charged it and never placed the order. They are taking no responsibility for their actions. I asked if they had samples to hold me over. They also, need to double check if that is possible...At this point I doubt I get samples or even my contacts. I hope you have better luck then me if you decide to go here but this will be my first and last visit.

I have had 2 appointments and have been so pleased. My first appointment was a ‘sick’ visit. My previous eye care center could not fit me in at 2 of their locations, so a friend recommended that I call Fuquay Eye Care. They gave me an appointment that same day. Dr. Pham did a thorough exam and determined it was floaters. It was a great feeling, on that Friday, to be seen at a new place and have peace of mind. I had a second appointment yesterday and I am getting 2 pairs of glasses. Their office followed all of the strict screening and sanitizing COVID guidelines. I received the best treatment once again and I am so pleased. They really take care of you and they see kids too with great patience and care.Check them out. I will not return to Raleigh or Cary.
