I was doing some Christmas shopping so I stopped by and inquired about ordering my glasses. I had my exam and prescription from my optometrist so I was just needing to order glasses. The lady I spoke with was very friendly and told me which days would be best for me to come in and order. She explained they took my insurance and that they would be glad to help. Fast forward to the afternoon I decided to go back and go ahead and order the same day. The nice lady from earlier had told me they didn’t close until 7 pm I got there about 430. They obviously had a shift change because the staff working wasn’t the same. The person who greeted me when I walked up seemed very annoyed to be having to help me. When I explained I needed to order frames she started slamming her things putting her gloves on aggressively and slammed the drawer after grabbing the thermometer to check my temp. I was thinking at this time wow what have I done to upset her. She had me sit down to give her my insurance information and she continued to tell me she couldn’t pull up my insurance. She had me looking at frames and with no customers in the office and her at least 20 feet away from me she yells at me to leave my mask on. How can you order glasses without being able to see them on your face? I kept my mask on and realized I couldn’t pick anything without being able to see what I was buying. Kiwi or whatever her name was said she still couldn’t pull up my insurance so I had to pull up my insurance information on my phone. Two more times with my policy number she hatefully said she couldn’t find it. So I ask her what would be a reason it wouldn’t be found? Then all of a sudden she found it. I go back to find some frames and I was pulling my mask down to look in the mirror. At this time both associates are at their desk and there is no customer besides myself in the office. The associates are both 20 ft from me at least and K ( unsure her name) yells at me saying I have to keep my mask on . How can you order glasses without seeing what they look like on your face? I know they knew I was upset because the other associate asked me if something was wrong. I explained how K had treated me since I walked in and asked when they changed staff so I could return. She wasn’t helpful either they just didn’t want to help me and disliked me from the moment I walked in. Discrimination at it finest.
Had an eye exam and purchased glasses from here. Was told my glasses would be ready by February 2nd. Drove all the way from Wellington to gadsden on Feb 2nd to find out that they forgot to call me to tell me that my glasses were postponed to arrive on the 4th of Feb. So a wasted trip simply because you didnt feel I was important enough to call ahead of time and tell me not to come out until the 4th. Good job. I wish gas was free, but it aint, and neither is my time. Next time I will choose another eye care center.
Terrible. Late. Inconsiderate. I hear the the eye examiners having conversations about everything under the sun with patients as they see they have people waiting in line to get just a check up and leave. They dont take care of their patients. Also as Im paying out of pocket. And as Im typing this seeing two of the employees taking care of the same person instead of speeding things up. I do not care if ur a doctor. Judge. Surgeon. Military. Ect. Your only going to get the same respect you give me in return
Im really disappointed in Wal-Mart vision center. I wanted to find a convenient eye doctor closer to home and in network. After checking to make sure my VSP insurance was in network with them, I made my daughter and I an appointment. No problem. The appointment was set. The day before the appoinment, they called unusually late at 6 p.m. to let me know they found my name for my insurance, but not my daughters name. They told me to call my insurance and add her. No problem. I immediately called VSP. ESP was very helpful and all they had to do was add my daughters name and date of birth. I had dependent coverage so that was no problem. I called Walmart vision center in East Gadsden and confirmed the appointment and confirmed that my daughter had been added. They said ok and they would see us tomorrow. Well, appointment day came and we immediately leave work (I teach) to make it to the 3:30 appointment. THIS is what upset me. I walk in, introduce myself, and tell them Im there for an appointment. There are THREE women sitting talking. Not one acknowledges my appointment. No one asks me my name, but I can see one glance at my name tag which I still had on. One woman rudely says, We cant find your insurance and they told us youre out of network. Wait, when did this happen? I did everything they asked me to do and then all of a sudden, you cant find anything. FIRST OF ALL, you dont even know who I am. You havent stood up once to help me, because clearly you all dont take your job seriously. Then you ask for my insurance card WHILE STILL SITTING DOWN only to tell me without even rechecking that Im out of network. I confirmed I was in network with MY insurance provider. You all were just too LAZY to do your job. I dont know why I even expected anything different. I have decided I will gladly pay out of network to continue traveling to the eye doctor Ive been traveling to. Walmart Vision Center, you are losing customers because of your nonchalant and rude employees. I will make sure that EVERYONE I encounter knows about the experience I had with them. Just pitiful.
Eye Doctor was very helpful & great to talk to & listened to my problems with my eye, then Brittany helped me with my frames & was very friendly & Nice to me,that’s why I gave them all a 5 star.
