Hands down the best hardware store I have ever been into. I have frequented this store maybe bi-weekly for the last 20 years. There have only been two times they did not have exactly what I was looking for. The huge selection of loose fasteners is what I really utilize. They have thousands of various, bolts, screws, anchors, etc. Far more than the big box stores. You may pay a penny more for the smaller store but time is money and they have what you need. I cannot sing their praises enough. They have pretty much whatever you want in a hardware store excluding large building materials. The fasteners is where its at for me.

Yes you pay a little bit more than you would if you went to home depot Lowes et cetera Yet youre not gonna get the customer service you can get at the other places plus 1 of the last places that that are Small family owned hardware we need to keep these small businesses open

Yes the prices are higher but do we not have to remember it is a mom and pop store like the good old days where they actually help you out instead of walking up-and-down the aisles of Lowes or home depot is a dollar worth it to me it is great service great people

Wow! Remember the old Ace Hardware commercials the place with the helpful hardware man? It seems those days are long past these days. Shopping at chain hardware stores now often entails hunting down someone to help you, and then having to wait 15 + minutes for them to hunt down another associate to just answer a question! Not at this store. From the moment I walked through the door, everybody (not just quote/unquote assigned friendly greeters) were offering and providing help. Like the way it used to be when I was growing up. Like the way it was when I myself was a retail store manager. Like the way it should be. Highest star rating. Will continue to shop at Gahanna Hardware and recommend to others.

Great place to get advice and assistance. Ive stopped here 2 Saturday mornings in a row - after yoga - to get answers. Last week, I was given a great education - but the part I needed wasnt there. BUMMER - it meant I had to go to Lowes and search for it myself - or try and find someone to help. Neither option is easy.This week, I was, again, helped almost immediately and the staff person knew exactly what I needed. Additionally, he pointed out that to swap out the broken part for the working one required some kind of tool I didnt have. So he offered to do it for me if I had 5-10 minutes to wait. ABSOLUTELY I DO! It actually took around 3 minutes - which was awesome as I did have something to get to. No charge for the install and the part was pretty cheap.Highly recommend you go here if you can and especially if you need some help. You are guaranteed to have your questions answered and they most likely carry what you need in stock!

Everything I needed for a plumbing repair. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.

The owner was really helpful. He worked with both me and my spouse to help us get exactly what we needed. We went there needing carriage bolts for a new boat motor we got. Went there the first time got the bolts and then we realized they were not rust-resistant and went back. I also needed lug nuts for the bolts. He showed me where they were and helped me get exactly what we needed. He even made sure the nut fit the bolt before sending me to the front. Really expedited process and still has time to be caring towards customer. Beats Lowe’s anyday.

Fabulous experience. Tom went out of his way, to help me get my chain saw started. He got it started, and noticed that the chain was too loose to cut with. Instructed me, on proper chain saw tightening. This was my 15th trip there, over the past three years, and the service just keeps getting better. Highly recommend. Local companies care. I came in to pick up my screen door on Thursday. The guy who gave me the door tried to sell me a handle for a storm door instead of a slider screen. Thank goodness the cute guy at the counter helped me get the right handle. I think his name was Tom. He is the only reason I am giving them any stars.

My favorite little hardware store...please stay open or Ill have no options other than Depot and that adds a half hour and a half mile walking for every little trip to the hardware store. They actually make keys...need your VCR tapes digitized? They do that too.

Great prices. I thought it was going to be a lot higher prices being a mom and pops store. I Love the selection they have. The staff is awesome loving fun people. I even get my bath soap here.

Came in with a toilet leak and lots of frustration. Tom showed me what I needed, told me how to make the repairs and even demonstrated the repairs. This shop is great with knowledgeable staff and a great location right by Creekside. Wish they had earlier hours though.

I would agree with some previous reviews. It is hit or miss here If you get the 2 ladies or the bald guy you are ok but the one older guy doesn’t know which end of a hammer to hold and the other one is always angry, rude and mean. They need people who know what they are doing and don’t hate doing it.

I was there today when the festival was going on. They struggle to keep parking open for customers but do a great job. The previous review fails to mention herself screaming cuss words and giving the employees the finger while they tried to manage their parking spots. Love this store. And they were not doing anything wrong!!

Friendly service that helps you find just what you need. Its a small town shop in the city. You wont find the same selection as you do in the big box stores, but when you just need some saw blades or some mineral spirits, you wont have to walk by 30 foot tall inflatable lawn decorations and 30 grilles just to find them.

Super clean, super organized, small but has a little bit of everything, fair prices, friendly people. If your looking for something of large size or out of the ordinary you should probably call first. I love little hardware stores like this.

Wow I have as always went here and referred people here but today when I called to ask about something the man who answered the phone couldnt answer my question and acted as though he had no idea what I was talking about. A little more expensive than your average giant hardware store, but worth it considering the staff is very helpful and its not a baffling ordeal to find something like the average giant hardware store. They seem to still fit everything in as they always have what I need but so much more conveniently.
