Would be nice to rate the actual furniture but we didn’t get that far. The customer service in this place is non existent. The employee made us walk around and take pictures of the furniture we were interested in then wouldn’t look up prices for us because he didn’t think we were serious about buying anything, even though he asked us that multiple times and we said yes each time. Feels like the opposite of what a business should be doing in a college town with college students? Waste of an afternoon

I visited Gainesville discount furniture to purchase two twin mattresses. The prices were the already the lowest in town and they were sold to me lower than what was posted in the store (the sign wasnt updated). To add, they aided with tying the mattresses down to the roof of my Nissan so I can get them home without having to worry about a delivery fee. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Highly recommend.

I had a problem with them but it was my fault. They told me my furniture may come later than they day they told me which was sometime in April. When April came around and the furniture didn’t come I was upset even though they told me it might happen. So I filed a claim and lost. And then they helped me get my furniture which was a month after. These are good people you just need to hear the whole conversation not just what you want to hear like I did 🤦🏼‍♀️ I take back everything I said in my last review. Bought a bed, chair and two end tables. Happy with all my furniture. The drawers on the bed did not open easily but GDF sent someone out to replace the rails quickly and they now glide easily. The delivery was promised in 6 weeks and it actually took 8 months but it’s finally here and looks beautiful.

I keep forgetting about this place Silly me 🤦🏾‍♀ but whenever I come in the husband and wife are so funny and cool and willing to show you whatever you want! If you have a picture chances are they can find it. So come to the warehouse before buying at an expensive furniture store.

Horrendous terrible unprofessional and discourteous. Inexperienced at sales and use old bargaining tactics and then when customer shows no interest they verbally abuse attack and discriminate. Not recommended. Shop elsewhere. Showroom smells musty and dirty. Then after reading this review they called my office and made threats and lied to staff workers about what happened. Disgraceful way of trying to do business. Gary you should be ashamed of yourself and quit while your ahead. And since you threatened to release the audio and video please do. Show everyone how you behave with customers and it will explain all the other bad reviews.

This store has the lowest prices in town. You are able to find top brands for cheaper prices. They have a wide selection and their online inventory is pretty descriptive for what they have.

Beware- No REFUNDS. We learned this the hard way. No refunds on a $700 purchase. I am not upset that there are no refunds as that is a company’s policy however how I was not made aware of the policy. The owners response was I should have read the fine print and what I signed. What prompted the refund was the delivery date was changed by two months. Interesting that they have the right to change the delivery date by two months but yet as the consumer we can’t ask for a refund when the date was changed. The couch was on back order, really no loss on their part but yet no refund! So for those two reasons I want others to know before shopping here. Buyers beware!Bad service- upon finding out that I was going to write a review Greg asked me if I was threatening him. I said absolutely not. Reviews are my right as a consumer and I want people to know this information so they could make their own informed decision. If you want to know about the bad service read the other reviews about bad service. I was shocked at how they nailed my experience. If this is the way business is done then I will never do business with them or recommend anyone to go.Beware- No Refunds as found in the fine print of my receipt.Response to the owner’s reply-The couch was not a speciality item. You encouraged us to get the couch because it was actually available at that time!!!As for the bedroom set, the only reason we bought the bedroom set was because you provided no refunds and that was the only way to get the $700 already paid for the couch. We cancelled the couch and moved that money to a bedroom set. This was our only way to not loose our $700 and to be done doing business with you. We didn’t trust that the delivery would be handled so we took an in stock bedroom set, still in the box home that day.Interesting how you can twist the facts!

As a Gator I try to support local businesses. This showroom had nice furniture and we even found the perfect piece my father wanted to buy off the floor. The less than enthusiastic saleswomen was combative and hostile and refused to answer simple questions about cost and delivery. My father turned and left calmly and without a word. Then the salespeople relentlessly harassed and insulted my father as he exited the showroom. The only thing I was sorry for was having entered this business. Not recommended for Gators or anyone else.

I bought both of my kids beds from here. I see people talking about the owner being rude... he wasn’t rude to me. He may seen blunt but that’s not rude. I wanted the cheapest and he showed it to me. He explained he has it but it isn’t the best. Some may see this as pressuring to buy more but he would have let me buy it the first time I came. I decided to get the next step up. He didn’t force me. I don’t understand why people take someone being blunt and honest as someone being rude and forceful. I will 100% be going to them again for any future furniture needs. Went in with my girlfriend wanting to purchase a sofa. First of all, their inventory is terrible and their prices are higher that Wayfair or Rooms To Go. We looked around for a few minutes and we were approached by a lady that asked me what my budget was ($300-400) and she insulted me budget, said it was a “pretty low budget” (which it is, but I’m only gonna have this sofa for a year, so why spend $700?). She then proceeded to tell me that they’re the only place that has inventory right now and that they have the lowest prices (both extremely incorrect). I then decided not to purchase anything and leave and as I was walking out, a man told us to “not come in and only come in when we’re serious and ready to pull the trigger”. Horrible customer service. I’m really disappointed.

Owner thinks he has the right to your medical records. I was not allowed to shop here without a mask, even though I have a medical exemption. He asked me to leave because I did not give him a copy of my medical records. Not sure why he thinks he is entitled to them - he sells furniture yet wants to practice medicine. So I went to Furniture Country and spent $1026 there. That store is so much better! They respect you and they dont try to play doctor.
