Terrible customer service. I presented to the store with a busted phone in need of a replacement and was informed that I needed to call ahead to make an appointment to receive assistance. There were 4 employees seated around the room with no other customers. Instead of assisting me with acquiring a new phone, I was offered the use of the instore landline phone where I waited on hold for 10 minutes until I left frustrated and without a working phone. This system makes no sense and is the poorest services I have ever received at a commercial institution. I hope the store manager sees this feedback post, and will review the video footage on 10/31/2021 from approximately 12:30 -1:00 pm.
I love my phone, but not a fan of waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time. Why take appointments if they aren’t honored? Hoping my next customer service experience with Verizon is over the phone and not a waste of time.
After an hour half of waiting decided it wasnt worth it very frustrated.
I call for an appointment. Got my time. When I arrived they checked me in and said that they had two ahead of me. I was a little early. When my appointment time came up they called my name. I was pleasantly surprised. From that point on I received top shelf treatment. Could not ask for better treatment. Will recommend to any and all.
Austin was amazing! He was incredibly helpful and patient. I walked in and was greeted by him right away. Thanks again, Austin!
We needed a new flip phone, when my brother accidentally lost his, in a field. The store is well lit, with comprehensive displays.Samuel set us up with a brand new Nokia flip phone, he even activated voicemail for us. Many thanks, on your helpful service. You got us backbin the game, today.Best of all, we were in and out of there with the new phone set up in less than half an hour.I recommend this Verizon Office highly.
Jon helped me upgrade my account and pay the charges. I have been trying to complete since 1:00 today on my own and it was not going through.
If I could vote zero stars I would, I sent my grandma up there to purchase a new phone first she wanted a very simple phone they tell her the best they can do is $800.00 witch is the price of the brand new 12s, 2nd my daughter had to use the restroom and the sales rep wouldnt let them use the bathroom he made them walk all the way to Dunkin Donuts to use that bathroom just absolutely ridiculous they made a grandma a small child go next door and couldnt open there bathroom up. zero stars from us.
Showed up at 10:15 and the people in the store wouldnt let me in or explain why they werent open. Couldnt hear what they were saying and refused to say when they would open. Please post proper hours to not waste peoples time.
Today I worked with Austin. He provided excellent customer service. Made everything for my family simplistic and easy to understand. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Will be back and will make sure I work with Austin.
Sales lady,Lisa was nice and helpful, but I still don,,/t like the Motorla phone that I got there,I like my old Samsung phone works better than the Motorola phone
I needed to upgrade my iPhone 7 plus and was thinking I would buy a used iPhone somewhere else. I went over to Verizon off Archer Rd and talked with Sam. After 15 minutes with him and going over my options at their store I decided to buy a new iPhone 12 from them instead. Sam took the time to explain all my options and he was not just trying to sell me something. He also helped me get my contacts moved over to my new phone. Super nice guy and knows his stuff! I highly recommend going to Verizon on Archer Rd and working with them. Great customer service!!!!
Horrendous service. GO TO THE ONE ON NEWBERRY because the employees there are way nicer and much more helpful. When I walked in, immediately all of the employees were rude and standoffish. Do not come here.
Well run store. However, they have very limited tech support in house.
So I’ve actually never written a bad review before but I had such a bad experience I felt I needed to share. I walked into Verizon today and was waiting for 25 minutes and not a single associate even acknowledged my existence. Two of them looked directly at me and literally, not a word. No, “Welcome in,” or “We are assisting others right now and we will be right with you. I’m used to waiting in line at Verizon and I have no problem with that. After one of the associates was finished helping someone he checked with the other man working and then walked passed me and went outside. The lack of customer service and respect actually hurt my feelings. Im not sure what was going on because I’ve never had an experience like this in any other Verizon store. But whoever works at this location should be trained in customer service or at the very least, acknowledging and greeting customers when they come in. I ended up leaving and buying what I could have bought there at another store just because of my bad experience.
Was helped by Karen Gonzales, had a great experience in customer service and will be coming back again soon.
Ok, so store cleanliness, and number of staff ready to help - 5 stars. Labeling of devices to make it obvious which phones are which, 1 star- although I suspect this to be a marketing move on Verizons part as a whole. The one dude that attempted to help me, but had LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE DETAIL ABOUT THE PHONES WRONG - negative all the stars.I research the hell out of things, perhaps to a fault, before I ever step foot in a store. When I do, its only to see the product in person to help confirm my choices. Samsung Note 20 5g vs. Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5g. I knew every detail, construction materials front and back, stock, color choices on both models, back order status from all retail and online options (including Verizon and Samsung direct), just needed to see them. He was wrong on all of those points and more. The only thing he was right about was the names of the phones in my hands.Unfortunately, this is the only official Verizon direct retail store in all of the Gainesville, Fl area. So I inevitably will return in the future. BUT, if I do, and the guy with dark curly hair walks up, I will announce my intent to not work with him and keep walking to do my own research.
Didnt have to wait long, friendly, accurate info.
Spent 3 days going back phone never turned on after first day employee went thru my phone reading my mail opening up apps took 3 days of coming back to get my service connected due to failure of one employee was not happy at all
Not enough customers let into building. Plenty of space between the counters but only a few people allowed in. Customers have to wait outside in the heat or rain. The building is big enough to accommodate more people safely so the rule is overkill causing a long wait. Dont come unless you have hours to kill and nothing better to do. Workers are nice though, when you finally get inside to talk to them.
Several visits, knowledgeable staff. Pleasant and personable.
The service is good whether dealing with someone by phone or in person in the store! Always consistent is what I like most.
Karen and Magic Mike were the best. I was having trouble getting text messages on my new phone and they quickly solved the problem.
Very quick service. Great covid protocol practices
Busy place with helpful staff
What a great experience. I switch from AT&T after they were unable to send me a new phone 4 different times. Although I ordered the phone online, I had to go to the store to resolve an issue with the port from AT&T (surprise, surprise). I was helped by a few different folks there, but they solved my issue. What I really appreciated was there practical following of the CDC guidelines for COVID-19. Everyone was wearing masks, they kept the store to a 1:1 associate to customer ratio, and they were fast. I would recommend this to any current or future Verizon customer.
Xavier gave us great service.
Thank you to Sam.He has patience & took almost 40 mins to help us & didnt give up until we were happy. #LizzieSaidWhat GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Nice people!
Went to grab a charging cable real quick, knowing exactly what I needed. Theyve basically removed all products and you cannot browse. Also, you MUST wait outside, regardless rain or sun and temperature. After waiting outside for 5 minutes and then waiting for them to grab the types of cables they stocked, it turns out they no longer carry what I was looking for. 8 minutes for something that should have taken 30 seconds. Dont go here, anything you need you can do more efficiently online or at Best Buy down the road. If youve experienced good customer service here in the past as I have, that experience is now gone.
Not helping....trying to charge me when I had a warranty
Nice experience, professional safe service, clean facility, security enforced distancing, staff and customers masked, Jose took great care of us.
Had Verizon for 8 years now there service has gone downhill . No one wants to help with a problem, just to sell new plans or equipment have contacted customer service numerous times been to the Gainsville store same results (none). We are looking for another provider !!!
Hours on google are incorrect
If I could give a zero to the archer rd Verizon store I would. 12/29 around 1:30 pm Had Keifer Wall to wait on me which is the worst customer service person I have ever had!
I would give it 0 stars if I could. I usually only write positive reviews but Verizon deserves a TERRIBLE review. I cancelled activating my prepaid service because I couldn’t get a rep on the phone without putting me on hold to save my life. While on hold for almost hours the phone would hang up! Verizon has the worst phone customer service for prepaid EVER! I returned SIM card to get refund on $69.95 my card was chard for service I could’ve even use. I get better help with my cricket prepaid service!
Unless youre buying something, store is now totally useless.
Very few people to help. Bought a new phone the case we purchased with the phone did not fit, wrong model case.
Tried to use this store to purchase a new phone and was not helped in any way. Lisa and Austin very rude and unhelpful. Hands down the worst experience I’ve had in customer service. Please do not go to this store, go anywhere else.
The Archer Road Verizon staff are the BOMB!
Excellent experience. Employees were very friendly and helpful. They were able to fix the problem and recommend needed equipment.
This store is all about sales and NOTHING about service. Despite having booked a 30 minute appointment to change from an obsolete phone to a new phone, the response to my request for help setting up the new phone was an associate telling me he was not allowed to help. He handed over the new phone and said you wont have any trouble, just turn it on and follow the prompts. I was out on the sidewalk in less than 10 minutes. The only helpful thing he did was provide me with a phone number to call if I encountered problems. I spent 1 hour on my LANDLINE with a very helpful and patient tech support person, and we eventually succeeded in activating the new phone and transferring my information. Needless to say I am NOT at all happy with my store experience.
My family and I were in here a few days ago to set up a new service. We werent really sure what we wanted/needed, and we were there for a while figuring it out. The employees who worked here were extremely helpful and very patient in answering our numerous questions and working with us to get set up. Very happy with our new service, thanks Nick and Shaun!
This was my first time visiting this store, and the experience was terrible. When I checked in, I was told I would be assisted in a few minutes. It was raining very hard, and I was asked to wait outside in the rain. There were two customers inside, and three or four staff members. There was enough space to accommodate at least five customers, but we were told we had to remain outside in the downpour. Fifteen minutes pass, and there is no update from staff. The Hispanic woman has gone to the back of the store, and a Caucasian woman is sitting in front of the store opening UPS packages as we are getting soaked. She claims that management told her that it is more important to open packages than to assist waiting patrons. I finally become upset about the wait (15 minutes) and asked how much longer before she provides assistance. The Caucasian woman tells me that it will be another 30 minutes before she is done opening packages. Again, two Black people are waiting for assistance. A Caucasian man on a cane arrives, and they run to the door to assist him. They allow him in ahead of me and the Black man who was also waiting for service. The Caucasian woman just told me nobody would be allowed in the store for amother 30 minutes. Yet when this Caucasian man arrived, he was allowed to enter. I have left-sided weakness from a car accident, and none of these people cared about my disability or allowed me to enter to prevent me from falling in the rain. However, they stopped what they were doing to assist the Caucasian man. I left along with the Black man behind me. There was no way we were going to use that store when we were not provided the same customer service. The other corporate store in the area is much better. They do an awesome job of treating everyone the same. This store is definitely in need of training (just look at recent posts). You treat all customers the same. If one has to wait in the rain, then all should wait in the rain. You dont make customers wait until you open packages. That can be done during downtime, not when everyone is at the store during their lunch break. You provide customers with updates, not just the ones you value. In addition, dont blame this treatment on COVID-19. If it safe enough for me to come in and spend my money, then you have no concerns. Concerned businesses have closed their doors. Please note that this store allows any number of patrons to come in to pay their bill. Those paying their bill were also allowed in ahead of me with no concern for numbers inside the store.
If you need anything, go talk to Jon at the Archer Road store in Gainesville. He has been the nicest most patient sales associate we have ever encountered. He made upgrading our 3 phones so very painless. He answered all our questions and if he didnt know he was honest about it. Thank you so very much Jon for helping us. We will be back to see you. I felt bad because he was helping us past close time (our phones were old and broken) and his manager was not happy, but instead of seeing if there was something she could help us with, she started to reprimand him in front of us, her attitude should she was mad. She even went as far as to call her significant other to tell them she was still at the store. She could have done that in the back where she was most of the time after they closed. I would definitely keep Jon, he is a great sales man.
Got my new phone here and I love it
Horrible service, they make u stand outside for over an hour. 2 reps working they others walking around meanwhile there’s a long line outside. Never again will I return
Very rude manager. Try being a little nicer and accommodating.
John was the only redeeming part of our Verizon experience today. The store was understaffed with abysmal wait times. The check-in process was poorly managed, and many customers were not greeted with the ability to check in. Previously arranged appointments were also not honored. John, however, was extremely professional and helpful. He was courteous to customers (even disgruntled ones) and expertly resolved our problem.
Not bad the store people are much better than the phone employees. Somehow they got the idea that I wanted to cancel my tablet account and when we switched banks they somehow didnt understand that and failed to take the money from the new bank so we end up owing money. At least the store people manage to find a way to get my tablet running.
We had awesome customer service, provided by Shaun! He was super helpful with all of our account needs! He was very knowledgeable and explained all of the options we had. He was patient and nice. He even let us keep this cool pen he had and let me look over number combinations for my new number. Thank you Shaun!
Rude, makes you wait outside in the cold while employees walk in circles in empty store. Not the quality you would usually expect out of Verizon.
My moms phone broke and she had no way of contacting other people. Benjamin D. went well above and beyond to help her, relaying numerous messages to her family members, and even spending time to ensure that she got the best deal on a phone possible. The process took several hours due to personal complications. Despite that, Ben was very patient and showed a perfect example of exceptional customer service.
Been a die hard, loyal Verizon customer for as long as Ive had a cell phone for good reason. This Verizon store is the perfect reminder of why. Came in for an issue with my SIM card. Technical problem was addressed & fixed quickly.Customer service was about as good as it gets. Rep was accommodating, personable & couldnt have been more helpful or considerate.
Mr. B. Johnson was detailed in his analysis and courteous in replacement for Motorola. He showed intelligent thinking and was excellent at multitasking. His technical knowledge of the phone was superior. USMC training with discipline and attention too details! Thank you for having him on the Motorola team at Verizon.
Horrible customer service. Rude employees. Employees could not answer questions about differences between phones.
Worst customer service there’s ever been. Do not go here unless you want to be treated like a 3rd class citizen. The manager should be fired.
I told the sales guy that I did not want to pay much more than I was paying with Straight Talk. ($45 a month). I chose a similar ADVERTISED price but now have to pay extra fees. With all the extra fees etc that I was not aware of, my bill is $85 a month. The service is no better than Straight Talk. I will be changing back as soon as I can. Very dissatisfied. I did not buy a phone even though they tried to sell me one as my phone was only a few months old. Also, you never see the same person in the store, they are already changing their staff!
The techs at this Verizon store are so nice and very helpful. By far the best experience Ive had at a Verizon store a place where typically I expect a bunch of jerks telling me what they cant do for me instead of what they can do. Not the case at this Verizon store. Everyone was very friendly and service is super fast, never been in this store for more than 15-20 minutes.
Glowing customer serviceHardly any wait time if you go.during the dayVerizon Id the best they give good discountsTo seniors over 55.
We came in at 20 minutes before closing and she had us out by closing, AWESOME service. Sorry about coming in so close to closing. GREAT JOB!!!
Would give zero stars if Google would let me. Have been a customer for years. Wanted to go in and pay full price for an iPad. For some reason it required a $40 additional fee that I wouldn’t have to pay at Best Buy or Amazon. Obviously didn’t want to pay that. The best they were willing to do was reduce it by $20. Just ridiculous.
Went into the store today to get an upgraded phone from iPhone 7 to iPhone 11. There was a $200 promotion for a trade in. I wanted to pay it all up front and JOSE told me that if I wanted to do this, I would not receive the $200 promotion. And I replied asking I couldn’t put money down and he said no, the only way to get the $200 off was to do the 2 year contract. I later called Verizon support and was told that I ACTUALLY SHOULD HAVE been able to put down a payment; the $200 promotion would have cleared itself out meaning I am done paying for my phone. Clearly, I was lied to and JOSE beat around the Busch when I asked questions. It’s obvious, the employees work based on commissions and prey on young college students. If you are a college student, please have your parent go with you. This can prevent being preyed upon. Be careful, ask all the questions you can, and the what-ifs.
The customer service rep Rob is very rude and has a nasty attitude! I get some customers have complex situation that requires time and patience to get right, but isn’t that what you’re there for?He got so aggravated because he had to call the port center to transfer my number. Then stated “ I’m bout to walk out of here cause I’m not dealing with this” in front of a row of Verizon customers. He then called the port center and was placed on hold... typical for a call center. He then hung up the phone with the port center and told me he can give me a temp number because he basically didnt want to provide me the customer service to fix the issues that were having based on the “bad and wrong information” that Verizon had given me through the customer service number; so he says.. I’m As if he doesn’t represent Verizon. You can literally feel the attitude coming from him from when I first explained the situation to him hanging up on the port center before they even got on the phone to me just canceling the order due to the horrible customer service I got from him. Verizon you have to do better than this, especially for the $100+ bill I’m paying for your service!
They are very professional.
Very helpful and fast..
This store and their employees are hands down the best team that I have ever encountered as a consumer. Their knowledge of the products was impeccable and quite impressive and the way I was treated was BEYOND a 5 star rating. And not only did they help me and got me set up with a new phone but, the next day they took care of my Wifes complicated issues. I will NEVER go to any other Verizon store....this will definitely be my home store.
People in there are very nice and helpful but I try to stay out of there cuz I spent way too much money
Very helpful staff full of knowledge. Lots of devices to try out and very organized store. We got a great deal just have to make sure you have everything that could give you a discount discussed. We saved hundreds after revealing information.
Could not replace lost phone with same model . Lost phone was paid for. Did not do that because would be paying for newer model. Glad I had insurance. I think phone technology is tweaked so you are always forced to buy and pay for new phones. I would like to add that Verizon does not make the phones. Staff at store has always been knowledgeable and helpful and their service has never let me down. I was upset the other day but they were not at fault. Verizon cell service only one I ever used. All is good
A great cell phone company.
Wow these guys really suck!!!I was there with my dad Verizon is his provider!Customer service??? What customer service!I am a small business owner if i had an employee like Shawn the GM working for me an i found out how he was treating my customersI would fire him!All they wanted to do was up sale, every time he asked a question they were very dismissive. Not attentive kept leaving the counter to do other things. He had to ask several times for them to help do the data back up because they didnt want to help they tried to give him a sheet of paper an let him do it at home. He had to ask 5 times to keep the help he so clearly needed.I am so glad i dont have Verizon!! I would hate to have to deal with these people!!!!!
Went in today to transfer a number, add a line, and purchase a new phone. Chris was extremely helpful, conscientious, knowledgeable, and professional. Was able to take care of all our needs in a timely manner. Thank you so much for making our experience smooth!
Went to this store on Saturday and was speaking with a salesman as I was expecting a phone to be sent there. The manager a female was beyond rude she kept her back to me and the associate then went in the back room and everything the associate asked to do to assist me she shot it down. I have been given nothing but the run around since last thursday. I will never go back to this store and I am seriously considering turning my service off and going with a different provider.
I had 2 questions about my account and they could not give me a solution to either question. However, theyre good at selling phones.
I had an issue with my phone for the past week. When I got to the store I met with Landon who fixed my phone in 15 minutes. Great customer service, quick fix and phone worked great after.
No one is more surprised than I that I give a Verizon store five stars. I went in late morning on a Thursday to replace my old phone & was waited on immediately. Was shown several phones that met my parameters. I selected one, got the necessary accessories and was out of there in about 30 minutes.
Great customer service. Rob helped us and we left happy.
If you want to get the best customer service go to this location and ask for Keifer. Hands down one of the most patient people I have ever met. He helped me purchase my phone 6 months ago. Then he helped my friend. Then I had some issues with my Apple Watch and he gladly helped me for 2 hrs in the store (not making a sale). The next day when my watch came in he helped me again to connect and set it up. These are things I have not seen other people do in years. So I am very great full and I will continue to come back and see Keifer for all my Verizon needs. Thank you for being so amazing!!
Great Customer service once they get to help you
I was having such a great day until I had to go to the verizon store- I cant understand why its always so terrible. Considering that I was spending almost $1,000 on a new phone you think theyd at least be courteous. I walked in and gave someone my phone number; he typed it into a tablet and then walked away without telling me what I needed to do so I was left standing around unsure if I needed to talk to someone. Everyone was either busy or kept mysteriously disappearing into the back for very long periods of time. I waited for a half an hour before I had to resort to be rude and literally waving at someone and saying excuse me. It turns out I had not been checked in and was waiting for no reason. When was finally approached by an employee he was completely despondent, bored, and annoyed with any questions. All he wanted to do was sell me unnecessary other things- In addition to my $1,000 phone! When I tried to talk to him about comparing different phones (and I had done my research so I had very specific, practical questions) he dismissed everything I said and acted like I was an idiot for not wanted the new facial recognition. He then badgered me until I bought a phone case. I had a sneaking suspicion about the case so when I got home I looked it up on amazon. Verizon sold it to me for $45- it was originally $50 and I got 10% off. The case is available on Amazon for $19.95. Yeah. This is a terrible company which clearly treats its employees just as badly as its customers. This is so clear from the attitude. Verizon, pay your employees and treat them better! It doesnt have to be so damn terrible
Always takes care of there customers. And fast service
Staff was extra helpful, ended up get a phone from best buy due to a sale. But the staff here seemed compent and willing to assist.
Friendly & has super helpful staff. Explained all the products very patiently & used language that was super easy to understand. Love going there!!!
Yeah, obviously i have to deal with them monthly and its pretty much as unpleasant as my freaking period. Ive had only 1 good experience going in the place on 13th and she talked me right into that tablet...thank you ma. The people there suck, guy there would literally rather look at the truck in the parking lot and smoke cigarettes then make it easier for people to pay there bill. Get a kiosk for christs sake or better reps. I just want to pay my bill.
This Verizon store always helps me with my issues. My favorite associate is Shaun Files. They always tell me the truth about different products for my particular needs.
The help wasnt that good and the selection of phones is okay but my overall experience could have been better.
The staff here are worse than used car salesmen. They will lie to you and try to sell you expensive smartphones. Do yourself a favor and find a different store or just go with a different carrier.
Excellent custumer service I went there to compare plans with my t mobile service they were very helpfull
Dog not allowed if it isn’t a service animal. Rejected at the door. Didn’t even give us a chance to show he is well behaved and potty trained. Won’t be going back.
The guy at Verizon was Awesome. Fixed me right up!
The wait was kinda long but the people were really nice and quickly helped me solve my issues.
This place has great customer service.
Worst Verizon store weve ever been to. Was told 20-25 minute wait. Two hours later, we walked out to the assurance were pulling you up right now. The associate she was pointing to was nowhere in sight. We wont go back.
Rob was awesome! He was informative and extremely helpful. Would definitely go back to this store.
Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced walking into a place of business. the men here are unbelievably degrading and feel it is acceptable to insult their customers without fear of any repercussions. I just experienced an employee throwing a temper tantrum towards me in front of my very eyes and a manager that continued to let this particular employee repeatedly insult me. i am without a doubt contacting upper management and corporate. stay as far away from this store as you can unless you find being treated like garbage is acceptable. you will experience nothing less, I assure you.
I am switching over to Verizon for various reasons. I went into their store today to compare and contrast phones to find the best model for me. The information sheets next to the phones only had contract options on them. None of them listed battery life, storage space, processor speed, camera quality, or any other meaningful information I could use to compare models other than price. I had to dig through the phones settings and use google to find anything out about them aside from the super cool features listed in the demo, which are largely worthless. I approached an idle employee to complain about the lack of information and ask him to fill in the gaps. Instead of answering, he put me in a 20 minute line to ask another employee. I said I cant wait that long to ask a question and mentioned the lack of information posted in the store. They told me to go look it up online. Youre off to a terrible start, Verizon.
Small store. Employees had very little knowledge
