I needed a mower with a 60 deck to replace the one that I wore out mowing my acreage. Dave, the owner, suggested a Hustler Super Z. I shopped hard and chose his recommendation and pricing as my best solution. Now that Ive used it - WOW - thats a mower! It cuts through the blackberry bramble like butter and the deck never clogged once. Thanks, Dave!!

I had to waite 3 months for this mower for a carburetor to be replaced. The mower was previously in the shop spent $700 to get it out of the shop cable broke among other things.Second trip to the shop $250.I could have bought a brand new mower for what I spent in repairs and maintenance.I personally feel like if you have a lawn mower in someones shop they should check it over from front to back and let you know if there is anything that needs to be repaired prior to it exiting their shop. They they found a pulley that was damaged did they did not noticed the previous visit.Im not sure that I recommend this place. After calling every other week checking on it I finally had a lady that told me that my mower had been sitting there entirely too long and would get the part in ASAP to get it back in the field so I could use it.Basically it depends on who you talk to and who youre dealing with to the type of service youre going to get.

Thought I had a good go to place for my garden tractor needs but no more. About a year and a half ago I brought a small garden tractor tire in to have an inner tube put in it. It was about 35 bucks, not too bad I thought. $21 for the tube plus labor. I brought another one in just this past week. $47!!! Are you kidding me? Was still $21 for the inner tube, plus about $15 in labor PLUS another 10 bucks for a shop charge!!! Forgive me if I feel ripped off, but I was. For a few more dollars I could have bought a new tire. I gave two stars instead of one only because they are very courteous while ripping you off.Update...In response to Ten Little Engines...no, it was not adequately explained to me when I picked up the tire. In any event You should have called me to let me know the tire needed a new tube (a tube you guys installed a while back WITHOUT examining the rim apparently) and a wheel that needed grinding. All I wanted to begin with was for you to patch that tube. A simple phone call could have alleviated all this. But thanks for referring me elsewhere instead of owning up and giving your customer the benefit of a doubt. Speaks volumes.

My dad wants told me that if you do good work for somebody and give them good service, at a fair price, you will have customers beating a path to your door. He went on to tell me that if you do not take care of a customer and leave them satisfied, you will have to spend $10,000 in advertising to make up for all the business you will lose because of all the bad publicity you will get from that one disappointed, angry, or unsatisfied customer that you let walk out Of the door unsatisfied. I’ve lived long enough and been involved in business long enough to know that this is a pretty true statement. This is my experience with 10 engines. I brought a lawnmower in which needed a tuneup. I was told it would be about $60. Almost $180 later, I got my mower back. It ran, but not the way a lawnmower should run if it’s just been tuned up. It was still misfiring. On my receipt it showed an air filter Had been replaced. It also showed that a new carburetor was put on. I regret to inform those who may read this review that neither were replaced. I know this only because I had to have it tuned up again about a month later by the repair shop that normally did my service (they were backed up for two weeks when I first needed the tune up originally). They are very thorough in their work.I showed them receipt of the work done because of the money I paid (just under a month earlier). I told him that I didn’t think that air filter had been replaced because it had the identical dent in it that it had prior to me taking it to Ten engines. But I didn’t know about the carburetor. This particular shop - my regular repair shop - etches the date of their install on every maintenance part and major part they put in. The date of their install for the carburetor was clearly visible on the carburetor as well as the air filter both of which were supposed to have been replaced… Which I was charged for.Neither of these parts had been replaced by ten engines. Suffice to say that I cannot recommend 10 engines to anyone except possibly for buying parts and doing the work yourself. One noticeable difference also between my regular repair shop and 10 engines is that my regular repair shop cleans the mower at the time of repair at no charge. When I got my mower back from 10 engines, there was still grass and debris on the mower deck from when the mower quit on me.The real problem? Turns out the only thing that was wrong with my mower was that the spark plug wire needed to be replaced. And for all my trouble.… my regular repair shop sharpened my blade for free and apologized for the industry that there would be repair shops that still act like pirates, scoundrels, and thieves. Lions and tigers and bears oh MY.

Monica was very courteous, professional and helpful on the phone. Took in 2 push lawn mowers that day. They looked at them right away and did some troubleshooting. Told us one was not repairable and the other was something we could fix ourselves. There was no charge today. We will be buying a new push mower and 10 Little Engines will be where we take it for our next service and will recommend others to give them a try.

I am honestly writing this review, so no one is misled with the service you receive at Ten Little Engines. I saw they had some good reviews but after personally dealing with them that is not the case. They no longer have David or Danny but, in their place, they have this pompous kid named Jordan Hewett. I know at times owners need a break but if they leave this business in the hands of Jordan much longer there will not be a business to own. With respect to the overall experience, expertise, professionalism, and promptness of Ten Little Engines one star is far too generous. Poor service, on top of terrible customer service. Please save yourself the frustration and go anywhere but here. If I wanted something fixed one month later, I would give it to my grandpa. The funny difference here is that my grandpa would have a working machine after a month and not a bunch of excuses as to why it is not fixed or has not been looked at, like you get with Ten Little Engines. The experience was so terrible that after waiting a month for repairs, I told them to just keep the equipment. It simply wasnt worth the headache Ten Little Engines caused. Aside from the timely nature of the repair that never happened, once I told them I was coming to pick up my equipment because it’s been long enough they tried to rake me over the coals for whatever they “found” was wrong with it. Now if your excuse is that you’re so busy, a simple repair takes a month then I’d love to know how in the world you quickly jump to the conclusion that X, Y, and Z need to be replaced as soon as I threaten to come and pick up my machine. All around poor business practice with Jordan Hewett at the helm. Moving along, I will never recommend, go back, or have any relation with Ten Little Engines. I am in the process of reporting them to the BBB.

First time I went here I was lucky they made a minor fix to my string trimmer while I waited and it was priced right. Took it back a few months later for the same repair (other fuel line needed replacement) and it took over two weeks and three phone calls from me! First time 15 min, second time two plus weeks?? I will give them another shot but will ask about turnaround time for sure.

In response to owners response:Are you seriously going to try to turn this around and make it my fault? You need to recheck your facts because the claim that the saw was back in my possession for 12 days before I brought it back is a bold-faced lie. I picked it up on August 22nd late in the afternoon and brought it back the very next day. I think where youve gotten yourself confused is that you said you would call me and when you didnt I came back a week or more later to check on it. When I walked in the door you got this stupid look on your face and walked back to your shop then came back and said it hadnt been touched and you rewrote the service order. As far as the excuses you have made: you never told me any of that. Youve talked all around this but one thing you absolutely cannot rebut is the fact that you told me three times you would call me with information and you never once did. Had you called me back and told me any of the things that you claimed I would have been happy. You cannot blame me for you giving lousy customer service.Took my chainsaw in for a fuel problem. I told them when I left it that I had replaced the fuel lines and filter. After 10 days I called to check on it and they said they called me and left a message to say it was done which they didnt. Picked it up they had charged me $80 to replace the fuel lines and filter I had just replaced. Took it home and the cord would not even pull because the cylinder was swamped with gas. Took it back and they said they would fix it. Called me after a week and said it was fixed, something about a needle valve. Picked it up and took it home for a second time and had the same exact problem. I dont even know if they touched it . Took it back AGAIN. He said he would check it and let me know...2 weeks go by so I called. Said he would check with the mechanic about it and call me on Monday...3 Mondays come and go. Called again on Friday and they tell me the same thing. Now Ive had it! Tell them Im coming to get it. I go to pick it up. The guy sees me, wont even look at me. when they brought it out I asked him, so I assume nothing was done with it? and he cops attitude with me about he doesnt know, thats why he said he would call me Monday. Now I have a chainsaw that STILL doesnt work. They charged me $80 to replace something I TOLD THEM I ALREADY REPLACED AND they wasted 2 months of my time and three trips there. All I got in return was excuses and attitude

My lawnmower was due for a tune-up and the wheel had come off, so I called Ten Little Engines, they quoted me $22 for the wheel and $75 for a tune-up, great, my fiancé dropped it off. The day is was due to be ready, my fiancé called and was told the carburetor had been rebuilt and it would be $180, we said no. Later that day when he called again, they said the string you pull to start it had broken and that would be an additional $40. My lawnmower was starting and running fine when I took it to this place, it needed a wheel and a tune-up, I was quoted $98, now they want me to pay $317!!! These people are absolute crooks, DO NOT TAKE YOUR LAWN EQUIPMENT HERE.

Did not charge me for it but mentioned he can get the blades for cheaper than I paid for the set from Tractor Supply out in Jonesville. He did get them for 13.00 cheaper and I ended up buying the blades from him and returning the set I bought from TSC.They were very friendly and I will definitely go back there to purchase any mower/ATV hardware I need.
