Kurgan is very knowledgeable! And knows his way around 03-04 cobras. He tuned my 03 cobra with no problems remotely. And even was able to assist me in a few issues. The runs better than it ever has!

Had my 2000 gt mustang tuned a few months ago At kurgan Motorsports. They helped me so much on what needed to be done on my car for tuning, and they went above and beyond on my car to get it tuned correctly. My car was down for almost a year waiting on another shop to swap the engine out and tune the car. Got frustrated and called Kurgan Motorsports to see if they could do the work and was told to bring the car in. Exactly one month later the car has the new engine in it and tuned. Im a repeat customer of Kurgans. I recently bought a SCT tuner with Bobs email tune, metco 5 piece pulley kit, 2.7 metco supercharger pulley and plugs from Kurgan for my 03 Cobra. The car runs the best that it has ever ran, the install was great and Bobs emails back and forth helping me figure out exactly what I wanted was top notch. I recommend checking with Bob before buying any parts, as he got me everything that I needed for less than I would have bought from LMR and Lethal. Ill go back to Kurgan, and recommend everyone try them at least once, he knows what hes doing.

Highly recommend Kurgan Motorsports. Not only the expertise of Bob but his whole staff. If you call in they take the time to talk to you. From day 1 I called in and told Bob what I had and what I wanted. He listed out everything I needed ..from heads to his specially ground cams. SCT tuner, spark plugs, injectors you name it ..he set me up..I already had a Procharger. It is my daily driver running on 93 octane. On Wednesday May 26,2021 I took a 2003 cobra with 3.4 whipple and stage 3 comp cams. We come from Greensboro NC and the experience was great. Ward and Bob was very professional and knowledgeable. They explained everything to us from e85 to dyno tuning the cobra. They fixed some issues we had on cobra,right then not later. The dyno session was problem free with 93 and e85 tune. I been to other shops and Kurgan is my top choice.

Took my 95 Mustang GT to them to get tuned Ward,Bob and the rest of the crew did an excellent job. I’ve owed this car for 20 years and they are only the 3rd shop to do any kind work on car very picky about who works on my cars. Definitely recommend shop. Will be going back for my next project.

I just had my car tuned by Bob at Kurgan Motorsports and wanted to share my experience. Im not one to right reviews, but felt this needed to be shared with others.I researched for nearly a year to try and find someone to tune my Mustang Cobra Procharger combination using Big Stuff 3. Even some of the so called experts left mefeeling I was on my own. I ran across Kurgan Motorsports searching the internet and from the initial contact through completion it was the best experience I have everhad with a performance shop. Bob explained everything he was doing and kept me involved in the entire process. He took his time and did it right. The car is nowrunning great. Bob tuned my 2014 Mustang with both a blower and twin turbo. Over 30k miles on the blower setup without a single issue, and going on 25k miles with a twin turbo setup at 900+hp and absolutely stock driveability with zero issues. Definitely the go-to guy.

Kurgan’s motorsports tuned my 1967 Mustang. This build includes a 10.5:1, 357 CID Yates-headed racing engine and FAST XFI2.0 control. It was virtually undriveable before Bob tuned the system and identified some major corrections that needed to be made. His shop is clean and well organized, which shows an attention to detail and a pride in what they do. I took my 93 LX 5.0 convertible to Kurgan based on all the good reviews. They are known to do great work on Mustangs so I took my foxbody in for much needed TLC. Typically when you have allot of little issues, most mechanics either avoid working on them or just try to do the bigger jobs but I explained all the issues my car was having and Bob was able to correctly diagnose the main issue ( backfiring/ tuning ) but also go one by one through all the little issues I had. ( Speedo, shifter, radiator, harmonic balancer, rim rubbing on metal, ECU, etc, etc. ) I ended up spending a bit more than I wanted to, BUT that was because we found several more issues with the car. The pricing was more than fair, and more importantly, they know these cars inside out and the repairs were done correctly. Car drives better than ever, They installed a new chip and performed a Dyno tune which has it running strong and ideling just right. I would recommend them for any domestic cars, and will definitely be taking my other car, a 90 Notch back for a supercharger !

03 Cobra/2.4 Kenne BellCar hadnt been running right for quite a while, finally took it to a local shop who remote tunes with Bob. After some suggestions of a fuel setup change, tweaks, and a tune, the car runs absolutely perfect. It starts up and idles like stock, but hauls like a freight train. The car made 710/720 on 93+boostane. Wont use anyone else

After a little rocky start getting my car tuned, when i arrived at Kurgan Motorsports everything went great! Only problem was on me not having the correct belt causing some slipping issues. They quickly replaced the belt and with my new tune, all i can say is im going to need some more grip from the tires. THANKS!

I have previously brought my 2014 twin turbo coyote to Bob last year. The tuning experience was amazing. Bob will not let the car off the rollers with an unfinished tune. He will trouble shoot every possible issue until the car runs flawlessly. This year I brought my 2017 Hellcat in for some tuning. While most tuners are scared to touch these cars. Bob was able to tap into the car and tune it on e85 without issue. Highly recommend Kurgan Motorsports for any performance upgrades, installs and tuning!

Bob Kurgan is the 3rd tuner I have visited to “get it right”.....Coming off of two previous attempts that were weeks and even months into troubleshooting I was prepared for a let down again. Dropping the car off and dealing with Bob was straight forward and a pleasure. It was nice to hear the symptoms of the problems I was having being explained to me before I was even able to open my mouth about them (as well as how to quickly resolve them). That was the experience I was looking for but didn’t find until now.... four hours of work and a dozen pulls on the dyno later and I couldn’t be happier with the results....tuned EXACTLY how I wanted it and how it should have been months ago.Thanks Bob, for turning what was starting to turn into a regret back into an absolute pleasure to drive on a daily basis!

Nothing but excellent work and outstanding performance! Highly recommend! Bob knows his stuff. **update** 1/6/20... had the car a whole month out of the shop and the engine blew. They said it was because the water/meth kit was wired to a source where the pump came on when the door opened. Ultimately it flooded the engine while the engine was off and hydrolocked. The only answer I could get was I hate water/methanol injection. Said they would fix it but they dont work for free. Not to mention they had my car about 3 months, and were still trying to get the tune right the day I picked it up. Gave me the run around for three weeks saying it would be ready each week. They may have been good in the foxbody Era, but I wouldnt let them touch a Coyote. I know you have to pay to play in the performance business, but I think it could have been handled better. Admitted the failure was their fault and basically threw their hands up when it came down to rectifying the situation.

Its really difficult to know where to begin to tell my story of my experience with Kurgan Motorsports. For starters they have the most knowledgeable staff and customer service Ive ever had the pleasure to deal with. They are by far the most in demand shop in the Southeast, and after purchasing my dream car 3 weeks ago (2003 Mach 1 Aluminator 5.0 stroker ported eaton) I immediately began searching for the shop that I wanted to tune it for pump 93 octane so I could drive it without looking for E85. After long hours of forum searching and reading all the horror stories that surround some shops in this industry the one place (more like Man, Bob Kurgan) that I found never to have a negative review or story or angry customer was Kurgan Motorsports. If anyone is like me and doesnt just trust anyone to handle their dreams with then stop right here, because you wont find a better tuner or mechanic or business man to deal with than Bob Kurgan himself. Not only did he tune my car and fix some issues free of charge, he also taught me some things to watch for and things to avoid. Not only did he perform all this work as humbly and professionally as could be dreamed, he did all this for me and I was over 2 and a half hours late for my appointment and got there 30 minutes before they were supposed to close. Not once did he treat me any other way but kind and genuinely curious about my expectations and future plans for my car. I have taken my car to Kurgan’s, this being the 3rd time and each time I had an outstanding experience, but this time is the one visit that I have to speak about. I made an change to the car and needed retuned but due to not being able to drive the car there and no other way to get it there(2 hrs away), I took my car to a local tuner. Oh I could go into a long spill but to get to the point, by the time I left there and got the car back home, I was ready to take that supercharger off and use it for a boat anchor.....at my wits end. Let the car set in the basement for about a year because the “other tuner”said I needed this upgraded and that upgraded so I was about to sell the whole supercharger set up and go back to NOS but I decided to call Kurgan . Well after explaining my “experience “, Ward consulted with Bob and then Bob himself took the time out of his schedule to call me and then we scheduled an appointment. After only 2 hrs after my arrival, my car was making the numbers I expected and the drivability.... perfect.Point being.... if you want your car anything LESS than done RIGHT, don’t take it to Kurgan’s.

What more can be said that others have not said. Bob was awesome to work with and beginning to end on the tuning of my car. During the pre-dyno inspection he pointed out a few things that needed to be addressed but that they would not stop him from giving the car a great tune. During the tuning process he explained what he was doing and why he was doing it, this to me makes a bigger difference than just raw power numbers. The drivability after the tune was amazing, it has never been that easy to drive. I too read the forum reviews and decided to go anyway, best decision I could have made. Bob and team will be getting my business from now on.

Took my 2016 twin turbo GT350 to Kurgan Motorsports for dyno tuning 2 weeks ago. I installed the TT kit at home in my garage. When I got to Kurgan Motorsports the car was leaking oil (I had the wrong head gaskets on the car) and basically wasn’t in running condition. I was convinced I would have to leave the vehicle, let them fix it and get it running, and then make another trip there to pick it up.Bob & his awesome team not only got my oil leak fixed (with the proper head gaskets) but they got the car on the dyno and tuned (778 rwhp) that very day! I still can’t believe they turned it around that quick.Bob knows his stuff and is a master at his craft!!!

When I was looking at buying a car, I found the one I own now. I told my car buddies it had been tuned by Kurgan Motorsports and they all said to for sure buy that one instead of any other because kost likely if it was done by Kurgan then it was done right. After a few months I had to replace the ecu and intake. (Stock intake was junk) I took it back to Bob Kurgan with the car not even running. Ten minutes later he pulls it onto the dyno to start his magic. My little 2v was bone stock other than bolt ons and a vortech blower. First pull was 338whp. He worked his magic and 2nd pull was 450hp. That was too much for stock internals so he put it at 425 on 12psi. Ran like a charm ever since! About a month later I pulled the engine and completely rebuilt it. Literally the only thing that hasnt been touched was the throttle body and intake. Once again Bob worked his magic and pulled very very good numbers from my little 2v. Him amd his team are amazing at what they do. Bob can pinpoint every problem with your car in the matter of seconds. I have amd will always continue to ONLY let Bob Kurgan touch my car. He is by far in my opinion the BEST around!

I just wanted to share my positive experience with Bob Kurgan and his staff. My car was dropped off for a dyno tune and the owner himself who also does the tunes did a pre-dyno inspection of the car with me to make sure it will perform at its best. The team pays a great deal of attention to detail to everything and Bob pointed out things I could never have figured out on my own. After the work was done he sat down with me to discuss results. I believe its these types of practices that separate good tuners from the best tuners. Although my dyno results were a bit lower than expected, we determined those are due to the condition of my car (75k mile daily driver) and the weather.On a side note, Google searches show a few internet forum threads with negative reviews on Bob but I gave him my business knowing there are two sides to every story. If you read the threads in their entirety, you will see for yourself the bad reviews are not all based on facts and important details were left out. In closing Bob and his staff tunes 4 digit horsepower cars on a regular basis and gave me and my car his undivided attention in the midst of his other projects. I would not hesitate to do future business with Bob.

I learned about Kurgan after I decided I wanted to do a Terminator swap on my Bullitt. A friend put me in contact there and within 15 minutes on the phone I had all the details I pretty much needed to pull the trigger. They shoot you straight and dont keep anything hidden about the process. After I gave the green light on the build I hauled my car up there on a Friday night and the next Friday My friend drove me back up and I was there picking my finished car up. They did an amazing job with the build and with basic bolt ons I was hitting a very generous amount of power with Kurgan tuning the car on their dyno. I then drove the car 5 hours home with 0 issues(the car was built right) and up until I recently sold it to a friend, that car had no issues and to this day is still his daily driver and he drives it like I drove it ( like a muscle car should be driven )Moral of the story is they shoot you straight.They Tell you what you need to do. Ive had Fox Body Mustangs and Svt Cobras for the last 30 years. Ive encountered most every problem and issue imaginable on these cars. From Supercharger issues, to clutch and blown engines, to Cobra IRS swaps on Fox Bodys. Had my first dealings with Bob Kurgan a couple of weeks ago. Needed a dyno tune on a 90 Mustang Vortech and was looking for a local tuner. Searched around on-line and found mixed reviews. Bob Kurgan did above and beyond what I expected. He is not your average back yard tuner. He has a nice shop with employees that are friendly and knowledgeable. Bob answered every question and every call I made. If you are looking for a Mustang dyno shop, I would give them a try. Give up on any pre-conceived notions or ideas you may have from reading forum posts. Kurgan and his guys did a great job for me.

So I left Kurgans around 2pm today. I have a 2006 Saleen. Car had some issues from a Mail order tune. Not the mail order tuners fault as they are very reputable. I liked the fact that for starters Bob didnt bash the other guys. Says allot about his character. But he also tuned and fixed my car. Car made roughly 425 hp on the dyno going in and when he was done the car made 485 up. I read on here a few people bashed him. Why? No hes not the cheapest out there. Quality isnt cheap. My opinion...if you cant afford to go fast, buy a Prius. Local Yota dealer is loaded with them. Man knows his stuff. DO NOT hesitate to take your car to him. He even cleans the car up before you get there to pick it up. No charge. Just good customer service. I dont think theres anything Mustang wise that hes incapable of. Call him or Ward today. Dont wait! You WILL NOT BE SORRY! Jealous Freaking Haters....go away!
