Ordered blown up balloons delivery online a week in advance for my husbands birthday. The day of delivery, I called party city to get an update. The delivery company hadnt picked up the order yet, so the staff member ubered my balloons to me. That was so thoughtful and I really appreciated it. The bundle of balloons that were filled didnt stay up past 2 days, so I cut the strings off and taped the balloons to the wall. The Happy Birthday sign balloons are holding up well.

Everyone was very helpful. Last minute shopping for Halloween costumes is not the best time to go and expect them to have what you need. I still found a great costume. They also have lots of decorations and Halloween candy.

One of the best things about this location is late hours until 10 pm on most nights. This allowed me to get balloons once our daughter was asleep so she was surprised on the morning of her birthday when she woke up. The staff here is also very helpful.

Lani was such a kind cashier & rang us up so fast, amazing service!!

Good place to shop. Have had a better experience in the past but this time it felt like the cashier was ready for a nap at the checkout counter. Wasnt sure if I was disturbing her by going to the desk.

I love that you can find decongesting or party supplies for any occasion. I pretty much buy all my party supplies here.

This is a good location for Party City. Plenty of parking is available in the shopping area. I had ordered some stuff for pickup late at night. I received a call first thing in the morning (before store opening hours) on unavailability of some products, which was much appreciated.When I got to the store to pickup my stuff, I was able to do the pickup in a reasonable amount of time. The person helping me also mentioned the unavailability of the items, which was good :)They do have a good selection of items similar to other Party City stores.

Store was busy in the late afternoon, but employees were quick to help me find what I needed. They kept the long check out line moving.

Part of our family traditions to go here and pickup the costumes, so sad that they were all out of many of the costumes this year, but Covid is affecting everything now a days, so not mad about it.

These staff members had a line but they made it out of their way to inform me that they will be with me shortly and that they are sorry for the wait. When it was my turn they were very nice and helped me with my balloons and got me out of the store as quickly as possible. I had told them i was in a bit of a rush due to the balloons were for a grave of my son and grandmother. So two staff members ended up both filling up my balloons. Thank you! I made it just in time before they closed.

They were out of gold balloons but I asked one of the workers there, he went and got me one. Great customer service 👏

Not always organized. Sent me completely wrong online order for birthday deco. However, with some time and patience am able to find what I need and some of the staff are friendly and nice.

My husband ordered his costume online. I purchased mine in the store. The long line went fast, there were 4 registers open. Awesome experience!

I ordered two number balloons, 12 regular balloons, two balloon weights, and a blow-up happy b-day balloon from this location. Although I received everything in my order and it was all ready way earlier than expected, I was disappointed that they tied all of my balloons together into one bouquet. The website did not indicate this protocol, nor did I indicate this anywhere in my online order. Because the ribbon was very tangled and tightly tied, I was not able to execute my own decor vision for my event. They also tied the number balloons in a way that they would not sit side by side, only one behind the other, causing one of the balloons to be hidden by the other. I would suggest calling this location and explaining that you would/would not like everything to be tied together. I understand wanting to make it easier for customers to carry their order, but it may be the opposite of what they want.

I had ordered a costume. it came OPENED and it was even missing parts of it. It looked worn and was even starting to unsew from the back. when i had come back to talk about it, they kept me waiting just to tell me they don’t have anymore and that i should go to another store.unorganized, staff was okay taking to me but talked rudely with each other. never going to any party city again :)

Awesome that it’s still around! It’s nice that it has survived in the Kentlands. It’s definitely dirty as heck sometimes but I know they try. And I mean they’ve always got fun stuff for any event. They’re really great and kind. And around Halloween they are packed and the place to go!

Very overwhelming with stuff all over the place, I didnt know where to look first. That being said they have a lot to choose from and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Pretty good variety for a party. I liked the different color schemes of hats, whistles, boas, etc. But i couldbt find streamers which was extremely disappointing. Maybe it was just me but i went through each and every aisle to no avail.

Extremely kind and helpful staff. I will definitely be revisiting this location from now on! Highly recommended.

Can always find seasonal decorations and costumes in Party City.

We stayed home waiting for the delivery, like they told us to. A no show, then an hour on hold with customer service to find out the store cancelled our delivery without telling us. All of this the night before my sons fourth birthday. He cant have guests during the pandemic, and now he doesnt have balloons or decorations either.

Success! Had just exactly what I needed. Practicing all things for safety during Covid.

A bit pricey but its worth the cost to find the exact party item for that special occasion or ceremony. This location is particularly crowded during upcoming holidays. The consumer service is wonderful. Again, just pack patience and expect crowdedness.

Buy cards to send for all occasions from a section where each card is$1. I stock up and usually get about $12 to $18 worth to stay in touch with loved ones for birthdays, anniversaries,thanks, sympathy, etc. I do this every few months. Love them.

When I came in, they said they cant fill the balloons with helium and Ill have to instead buy a tank, the smallest of which was about $30. Eventually bought it from Giants on the other side of the parking lot. However, Party City definitely has a variety, hence the 3 stars.

Looks like a hurricane, tornado, and robbery all happened at the same time. Perhaps one or two aisles are organized. The rest are completely chaotic; finding anything is more luck than planned. Only go if it is an absolute must, you have nowhere else to be for hours, and the end of the world will occur if you do not.

Order online to pick up in store. It was really easy process.

Naruto costume was trash. I paid a lot of money for something that was cheaply made. The Angel costume I got for my daughter was great. Came with everything.

Prices are decent. Almost always have what I need. There are sometimes coupons if you subscribe via email.

Very disappointed! Spent $40 on balloons, there was a mix up and Management had to get involved. Very annoyed. I think that I should have went to the Dollar store instead 🤯🤯

Typical party props and supplies, plus a little area where kids can pick 15 pieces of candy for $1. Theres a nice cheap thrill! (Ingredients for loose candy are labeled on bin, which is helpful for allergy/dietary concerns.)

Majority of employees are part-time kids that dont know much about store inventory, store policy, basic store knowledge. Usually only one cashier even when a long line forms. Place is disorganized. Store needs a decent manager.

The inventory they have is pretty varied, but out of the 5 times i went there, they were out of helium 3 times. So kind of a bummer.

We keep going back to Party City for things like costumes and decorations at the last minute when we havent planned ahead. Once or twice their staff have been really helpful but usually we are disappointed and get the results of last minute shopping. Part City is always understaffed in my observations with either lines at the check-out, no one available to help on the floor, or both. Note to self, if I want better results then plan ahead.

It was ok, a little over priced for me. Dollar store works better. Customer service was none, good luck finding what your looking for if your in a hurry.

The stores filled to the rafters with all kinds of party stuff. You can get just about everything you need for your party for decorations tablecloths paper goods plastic goods giveaways and so much more yes they have balloons too. So much stuff it can overwhelming.

IF YOU NEED BALLOONS PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE. There is a helium shortage and it is affecting the Kentland Party City in Gaithersburg. It has been months and they still have a sign saying no Helium balloons available. So if you are looking for helium filled balloons, go somewhere else like a grocery store or Dollar Tree.

Has a good selection but don’t even think about stopping by just to buy some balloons with helium at the store on a Saturday afternoon, unless you have 2 hours to spare and come back.

I always feel depressed after going into these stores. Cheap stuff, remarkably clueless staff, and bare bones structure. Yet, when we need helium balloons, we still go. Why? Why?

Can always find what I want and the floor clerks are always willing to assist.

Store was not busy .. workers busy putting out stock and talking amongst themselves .. not noticing that I needed help.. the cashier was standing behind the register texting on her phone and when I said excuse me after standing there for awhile she acted very annoyed that I interrupted her texting. Ive been to Party City in New York, Tennessee and Florida and Never have I ever had this problem.

Perhaps the date had something to do with it but many of the isles were void of any merchandise. If I had not seen three people restocking I would have thought the place was closing.

Rude and unhelpful staff. Would not take the 30 seconds it would take to blow up a baloon so I could see what it would look like. Instead spent 30 seconds arguing that they cant do it.

It smells pretty weird and has lots of stuff cluttered on the floor. Alot of the time there are kids running around. Staff is pretty mean and dont help alot.

If you need balloons, which is my most people go to Party City, then DON’T GO HERE!!! They have been out of HELIUM every time I have been here. How hard is it to just stock another tank of helium in the back. I purposely drive out of my way now to other stores just because they actually have the stuff I need!!!
