Now that’s how you do a milkshake. The Nutella banana shake was excellent. The BLT with fries and slaw was also good. Our server was friendly, and after a late evening getting back to our hotel without many options open past 11pm, we were glad to find this tasty option. Nice outdoor seating area as well.
I love eating here. Been here quiet a few times this summer. Always sat outside and it’s very pleasant. I usually order a burger (the beyond one is good) but this time I got chicken tenders lol. I also get a chocolate shake, because why not! I used to go to silver diners as a kid and while I miss the more classic diner food they used to offer I also love the updated, local sourced menu. Sometimes the bill is a little higher than you might expect, but I still enjoy eating here especially at Rio.
I went here tonight for dinner with my boyfriend. I actually won the business card raffle- free dinner for 2!It was overall a good experience.Ive been here before a few times and always enjoyed the food and the milk shakes.Tonight we got the SD mule, orange crush, cheese fries for an appetizer, crab cake entree, caramel french toast, double chocolate cake, and a coffee crunch shake.We couldnt move after we ate all that food but it was soooooo good!All the staff were really nice and helpful. Our server Lauren was very nice and made sure we were happy.We will definitely keep coming here. Its in a good location and if it was a little warmer outside and less rainy, its perfect for a walk around the water after you eat.Thanks again!
My girlfriend and I had an excellent experience at the Silver Diner. The food was very well priced, good portions, and the drinks were good/well priced.My server, Junior K, was excellent and very professional/courteous.I definitely recommend coming here. Plus at night there is a really nice view of the lake.
30May2021..If my sandwich wasn’t dry, my fries weren’t warped,and didn’t have to wait longer than 15 minutes; I would’ve given this place 5 stars. The Smith’s(Maryland’s state dessert)Island cake was ok.29Aug.2021...our order was taken it just took 30 or so minutes for our server to bring our food too us.
I love Silver Diners cheese fries. The cheese is sprinkled onto the thin, tasty and crispy French fries. It melts a bit and then hardens so when you grab a French Fry you may get a few stuck together. It comes with this Southwest ranch that’s so freaking good. I would come here just for the fries.My waitress Alicia was really respectful, polite and receptive. I would definitely request her as a server if I go back.I left my credit card here too and they kept it safe for me, been a few days and still no random charges (that I’m aware of)
Best place to eat in Rio with your furry friends. Nestor who usually works at the front is amazing. He will take care of you and your furry friend. Kyle the manager is super friendly and he will also ensure you have nothing but a great time. I highly recommend this place because of my personal experience interacting with Nestor and Kyle on multiple occasions. I highly recommend this place.
The food was good as always. The service was also good. Try the apple pie, you will not be disappointed!!!

Went for Sunday brunch and the place was packed. Sat at the counter and watched an avalanche of delicious food pouring out of the kitchen. Food came fast and customized order was perfect. Waitress checked back often to make sure that food was good and that we had everything that we needed. Great place to eat when you want to be out with the crowd

Amazing service, awesome food. The outside seating is marvelous. I went in the afternoon and I was afraid of the sun but the building shades the whole area and it is even cool. I love this place.

I ordered a corn beef hash, it looked like it came out of a can and flavorless. The biscuit was rock hard for $14.99 I expected better.

I went there on Sunday night with my family for dinner and the service was excellent. The people there were very friendly and the atmosphere was so inviting. I had the short rib which was cooked the way I requested and was really delicious. We will definitely be coming back soon! :)
It’s sad that the overall demeanor here has led to waitstaff being unnecessarily rude. My server was asked for cream and sugar with coffee. I asked 3 times (once prior to the coffee) and twice after and she didn’t acknowledge my request until the 3rd time when she said “I heard you, I got it” I repeated myself because I assumed she couldn’t hear me with my mask.Because I don’t want someone who is that easily annoyed touching my food, I got up to leave. I then see a patron who walks up to dine with a large dog, only to see another server pet and greet the dog the. Proceed to serve another guest (didn’t go wash her hands).We are in a pandemic, use common hygiene sense and acknowledge the request of a patron since this is out new normal where communication happens with a mask. Hope her day got better, not sure why she was snippy over cream and sugar.
My husband and I love coming to this Silver Diner for breakfast. We always have the best service from Lauren! She is very attentive, energetic and friendly. Not to mention amazing breakfast specials, I had the bruschetta egg special and it was delicious!
Overall good experience. Went during lunch on a Saturday so it was quite packed. The wait was a little longer than I would have liked but the food was generally served hot. One item, the Kickin Short Rib Burger, was served almost rare when we had requested medium-well. The burger was remade to specifications and the manager came over and personally apologized with a complimentary entree for our next visit which definitely helped us enjoy it better.Looking forward to try it again when it isnt so crowded.
Wonderful location by the water at Rio. Outdoor dining offered. Incredibly great menu including smoked salmon and avocado on toast and bison burger. Only downside, maybe due to Covid, is slow service.

Had breakfast here last week on the patio. The food was very good but the service very slow. It took 30 + minutes to get our food, with very few tables filled. Seems it was an oversight, as apologies very plentiful. But, overall its a very nice spot for an outdoor breakfast. Staff were friendly and masked. Tables nicely separated.

Location is goodLoved the patio waiting areaHowever, didnt like the service.For refills we had to ask the waiter to give us more refills. Extra dirty glasses were on our table and while many waiters walked nearby, no one (!) Cleaned them.For some reason, soup was hotter than entrees. Also, they brought an appetizer and entrees at the same time.For dessert, we had to wait another 20 minutes.For check we didnt have to wait at all.The good thing Ive liked was that the bathrooms are clean.2 stars for bathroom, patio, and location.

New to the area and decided to check it out. Food was great but my service was even greater. If you go to this location, ask for Nelson, he was great. His Table side manner was so polite and gentle. Probably wouldn’t have been the same experience without him. Definitely will be going back and asking for his tables again.
Service from the waitress, and runner guy was awesome. Fries were cold. They tries 3 times to bring out hot fries and failed each time. Manager gave free dinner coupons for next visit. Awesome! But still had to pay for cold stale fries...
Lauren was amazing. Super sweet and really made the experience great. The manager Victor Hugo, made sure we were well taken care of. The amazing service was so appreciated. We’ll be back for sure.

Such careful attention to Covid precautions, and delicious and *interesting* vegan dishes. I love that continue to innovate new vegan dishes for the menu. I had the tacos and they were SO GOOD. So flavorful, really an exceptional dish. And the margarita was also something extra special. Yum!My only complaint is that they really need to have a vegan dessert that isnt a milkshake. I LOVE that they have a milkshake (though I wish they would change the flavor up after all these years), but it would really be nice to have a cake or pie type item as well. Its confusing to me that they are so thoughtful with the rest of the menu, but this is one area still remains lacking.

To me Silver Diner has always been a great establishment in terms of food and service. After the new opening in Rio I went in to see the newer place. It seems like its going to be a really beautiful spot in the warm months with the outdoor seating by the water. Although there is some indoor/out of the actual dining area seating, which in my opinion just looks horrible. Its like what cheesecake did in Montgomery mall but without all the plants to somewhat seclude the area. Other than that everything else looks great and the service was very friendly and attentive and the food was good like usual.
Food was great! Service was mediocre...had at least 4 different employees waiting on us until we finally got an official waiter designated to our table. Food was great, but service couldve been a lot better.
I was craving chocolate cake so I Ubered it from Silver Diner and ended up getting one slice of their double chocolate triple-layer cake & smith island cake.Double chocolate triple layer cake with white chocolate drizzle: (you can get both white chocolate & chocolate drizzle) but I only got white chocolate. I’m not much of a chocolate person but this is by far my favorite!!! Not too rich/heavy. Also, got low-fat vanilla ice cream and it is uh-mazing!!!Smith island cake: the photo on UberEats is misleading. I thought the cake would look like what was shown,but it was actually vanilla cake with raspberry and I think lemon in the cake with chocolate drizzling. The frosting has shredded coconut shavings on it which I,personally, don’t like coconut but you can’t taste it.I would definitely order these again! Thanks Silver Diner :D
Alycia was our server for breakfast. While it was a busy morning, you would’ve thought we were her only customers. The food was good the service was outstanding.
This diner was amazing. They had some of the best fries that Ive ever eaten in my entire life, but the prices were insane. I got a burger and fries for almost 16 dollars. Not only that, I had to pay extra just to have cheese on it.Overall, I loved the atmosphere, and the waterside view you get when you have a window seat.
I went to the Rio location our server Chico B was amazing. He was well spoken and checked on us all the time. He even was joking around with us. Also the manager Walter was incredible. Food was delicious and plated nicely. Definitely recommend.
I havent been to Silver Diner in a while (I guess we all havent been anywhere in a while though..) The food is remarkably fresh for such a wide menu. Love the local options. Look forward to going back!
They have a superb 3 stage COVID remediation. Stand alone air filters. HVAC hospital grade filtration. UV light after hours.Foods healthy too.

Salmon sushi burgers were tasty. Steak and eggs omelette was too plain. Either they did not add enough cheese or not seasoned well but too plain and dry.
I been a regular for years the food is amazing, especially the burgers. However, They have a very poor customer service. Overall, they do not have a good well trained customer service. I have experience this few times now. I believe half of overall experience should be the service and the other half is the quality of the food.In summery food is great, but the customer service is pretty bad.

The food here is awesome, including Vegetarian!! I had the Salmon Sliders and wife had the Tomato Rice dish (forgot the name), both were delicious. The atomic Bloody Mary was da bomb as well! Service could have been better, they forgot the soup we ordered but we were too satisfied with the dinner portions to care.
I had an ok experience coming here. The food is a bit overpriced in my opinion but its not bad. The vegetarian selection is actually pretty nice.. However, the friend I came with came home with awful food poisoning and their night and following day was awful because of it. I felt fine and so did my other friend so perhaps it was just a fluke or their stomach especially reacted to something oddly, but to be on the safe side Ill probably not come back.
We came here tonight with some friends for dinner. We were really looking forward to it especially with my friend and I being vegetarians. We were excited for the plant based menu! Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed. My friend ordered the cauliflower Mac n cheese with meatball! The overwhelmingness or the “temph bacon” was nauseating. I ordered cauliflower sandwich which seemed like a horrible mix of flavorsDue to the different cheese and profiles. My husband and our friend ordered chicken burgers which were small and wasn’t up to restaurant quality but close to a fast food quality. The dessert we tried was the brownie decadence and the brownie seemed like it was frozen. Our recommendation is def look at the focus group approving the food and look at the quality.The service was good but little slow. The restaurant was clean it was unfortunate we didnt have the experience we were hoping for. Even though main entrees and dessert wasnt upto the expectations, appetizers: the coconut curry tofu skewers and bruschetta toast were good.
We ate outside. They have heaters. The food was good. The tropical mimosa was delicious. Sbort wait for outside but 45 min to an hour for inside but it was Mothers Day. It was my first time but my sister & her husband eat there regularly.

I’ve been to this location many times as we live right across the bridge. Our server Alex was very attentive and made sure that we were taken care of at all times. If you visit this location try to get a seat in his section and you’re sure to enjoy your experience.

This is an excellent place to dine in like if you were at home, they really make sure to use all the available COVID biosafety measures. Numerous times l was helped by a Victor Hugo, who has an excellent customer service and makes me feel always welcome. I recommend to give this place a try, you won’t regret it, plus the location is very convenient.
Overall mood of the restaurant was just grumpy and bored, easily seen on the staffs face. Hostess McKenna had no welcoming energy and didnt even want us to be here. Food for two of our party is missing while everyone else is midway through the meal. 1 persons order in our party got completely lost even though it was blatantly ordered with everybody elses. Manager then comes out to give us a complimentary entrée certificate that we can redeem NEXT TIME so that they can make up for their mistakes why the hell would I comeback. Asked if we could use it this time. Also one of the burgers were barely cooked and we asked for medium well. Such poor service from Silver Diner, go anywhere else but here rio has so many better options especially Yard House 😊. Lastly dont sit outside extremely hot and umbrellas are not be movable per hostess McKenna, as she cut me off😴
Food was delicious and service was impeccable.This was my second time visiting silver diner but my first time ordering from the all day breakfast menu. My apartment complex, sawyer flats, was having a contest where the winner would win a free meal from silver diner! When heard I was one of the winners, I was super excited as my previous experience at silver diner was amazing. I ordered the country fried steak and my roommate ordered the Philly steak omelette. Both tasted amazing and the portions were huge! The food was fresh and cooked perfectly.The staff was super kind and helpful. Definitely would go again!Tip: their milkshakes are out of this world.

Silver diner at rio dont have many items during the week only weekend .taste of their food changed company losing on all locations they lost the edge.I m not happy and i dont go there anymore

Despite the pandemic, Silver diner is definitely taking the proper measures. I felt safe & distanced from the other parties. The food was delicious and my overall experience was wonderful thanks to my server, Nelson! Would definitely come back & ask for him.
