Matt is just the kindest guy!! My friends and I camped at Fort Custer with our own kayaks but we stopped in to Mainstream for some information and to buy some grilling tools. They had great prices, Matt was super helpful, and the next day when we needed a ride up river with our boats he was already going to be in that area so he offered to do it for free! (We paid him anyway of course.) I hope thry get another opportunity to bid on the Fort Custer boat rental job. They are a local business with awesome customer service and itd be great to see them get it.

We purchased two Midwest kayaks and other accessories from Mainstream Tackle and Outdoor today. After spending hours researching different options and seeking out options from three area big box stores, we happened across this place online. Thankfully we did, because we had much better pricing for similar models and informative and helpful advice. They also do kayak repair if needed for rudders and other items. I will certainly be back if I need another kayak or materials. I strongly recommend this business!

Stopped in to check out what they had and it was not by a very knowledgeable gentleman that help me pick out some tackle. Anytime I am in the area I will definitely stop by and if I ever order another kayak I will get it from them small store service big store selection

We camped out at Fort Custered and found this little Gem great for fishing tackle and fishing needs, but we also rented a canoe from them. They are super friendly and accommodate to you. They will pick you up or drop you off or meet you at a destination along the kalamazoo rivers between Fort Custer and Galesburg. You can rent kayaks too. They also provide life jackets if needed.

Well it took awhile but I finally got my kayak, Mat the owner went through quite a year in 2020 like most of us, but he wouldnt be beaten with all the delays in shipping and manufacturing he did more than anyone would have expected he stuck with it and not only got me a great kayak but set it all up for me with a fish finder, hes an amazing guy and I would gladly do business with him again best wishes to you Mat and your team keep up the good work.

Super easy to find store that you can pull right upfront to. Inside the guy was very nice and even hooked me up on minnows due to a couple being slower. Awesome local spot! Check it out

After calling around to see if anywhere was open to help me with my novice fishing dilemma of my pole not casting we stumbled upon Mainstream tackle. The guys here were of great help and very patiently answered all my questions.

I want thank the guys at Main Stream for making a positive experience out off a long wait for my Kayak. They could have easily sold me a more expensive boat or left me hanging. They kept in touch and encouraged me to stick with the Vibe I had purchased. Great guys who know their stuff and really love what they do. Nice change from the big box stores. Go see these guys and they will set you up!

Just wanted to say that Mainstream Tackle and Outdoors is a great business. I purchased two Vibes last year and preordered a Vibe this year. Unfortunately between COVID-19 and maybe some confusion I was not able to get my new kayak in a timeframe I was happy with. The owner of Mainstream Tackle and Outdoors actually offered to meet me half way and let me barrow one of their demos. I went another route but that is a really great offer to help make his customers happy. I’ll be back one day to get that Vibe Shearwater!

Matt went out of his way to assist me. Knowing that my closest Vibe Kayak dealer was two states away, it obviously required many questions. He was pleasant, patient and knowledgeable. I would certainly recommend him!

Best kayak rental around. They shuttle you, let you do what you want, for however long, and the route ends at a bar with food.They did a lot of work with such short notice, and we were yaking within an hour of calling.

Matt is a great guy who held my order for 5 months, met me way past halfway for delivery and still honored the 10% off sale from December. Great service and good people. Doesnt get much better than that.

Great people great bait and knowledgeable about local lakes also the best place Ive found for purchasing a kayak or sup even let you demo on the water if a kayak or board is available now lets mention kayak and tube rentals for the an amazing river float they have multiple drop off And pick up locations so you can float for two hours or 8 hrs its all up to you !
