Great food at s great price. Mike, the owner, is a great guy. He is known for his excellent banana bread (I had it and it is excellent). He also makes a banana batter with blue berry muffin that the locals go crazy for.I also had the breakfast burrito. It was hot, fresh and man did it taste good.You never know about the coffee at these little shops, but the coffee was good too!If youre tired of fast food and want something basically home cooked... this is the place.Heck, even the regulars in there were fun to talk and joke with.The picture is of Mike with a batch of banana bread right out of his oven.NOTE: there were no nuts in his banana bread, so it was NOT banana nut bread. I prefer nuts in mine, but his was great even without the nuts.

I had the turkey sub on wheat bread and it was one of the best subs Ive ever had. The bread and veggies were fresh. The apple fritter was pretty good too.

As we were leaving, the proprietor asked if she could join us in a prayer for our safe travels. How many donut shops are like that?

Found this spot! Good location. Owner is friendly! Love the vibe of this place. My dad would have enjoyed this place. My husband and I walked in and the air was filled with the smell of fresh baked donuts. Hot chocolate was delicious. This is now on our travel list. We are donuts and deli kind of people.

Stopped here quite late at night during a road trip and I will definitely stop here again next time I’m in New Mexico. This place makes outstanding food! I got sandwiches and donuts and I still think about the food to this day. Everything was so delicious. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the wait time. They were SO slow. From the time I walked through the door until I received my items was probably about 40 minutes. There were 3 people behind the counter but apparently only one was working? And there were 2 people in line ahead of me, and two more sitting around waiting for orders. So the guy working was definitely doing his best. And he was very kind! But it was a painful wait. Worth it in the end, and luckily I didn’t have anywhere specific I had to be. But if I had had other nearby options for food (nothing else was open because of the time) I probably would have left and went elsewhere. Again, glad I didn’t because it was worth it. Give this place a try, but maybe go during the day.

The staff member was not wearing mask, and neither was another customer. I ordered a dozen donuts ($7.85 on the menu) but was charged individually and it came out to $10+ (I ordered a mix of donuts, nothing special like apple fritters or cinnamon rolls). The least of my concerns, but still notable is that the large coffee is 8oz and the small is 6oz.

What a pleasant experience to find a hidden gem off exit 16, local sandwhich shop and bakery that was way better than chain fast food. A must stop

Really fresh sandwiches that taste like traditional ( back in the day) hoagies. The bread is made fresh there. The bread looks large, however, it isnt yeasty. Instead it taste and feel light and airy. The ham is sliced very thin ; the cheese taste very fresh; and the veggies/condiments taste equally fresh!Highly recommend giving this place a try. And yes, they are opened 24/7.

We stopped in Gallup late on a Saturday night. We both got a deli sandwich and a couple of donuts. I wasnt really hungry but when I started eating, I couldnt stop. That was delicious! And the chocolate donuts were just as good.

Great Deli with amazing baked goods. We got the butter donut, twist, banana nut bread, and the apple fritters. The twist and apple fritter were our favorites.We also got the turkey avocado 12 inch sub with bacon and the roast beef sub, 12 inch. Both were good, although the roast beef sub was burnt slightly.

Very friendly atmosphere. Great prices and excellent food. We ordered 6-in sandwiches and they gave us the larger one for free. And they also gave us chips. We ordered donuts and such for dessert and I cant lie I took a small taste of my carrot cake before my sandwich and its delicious! Love love love this place!

Westend Deli is an all-time favorite spot in Gallup NM. Its on Old Route 66, and their bread is quite possibly the best I have ever had. Their sandwiches are a very generous portion and come with a great hot pepper on the side, and a bag of chips. I always get the turkey and swiss toasted....and it is delicious! I used to go here almost daily to get a donut before class when i was in highschool... and many years later their baked goods taste the exact same! The staff is always friendly, and the vibe is small town simple, but perfect. I highly reccomend the cake and twist donuts. Dont miss this spot when you are in town. 💓💕🍞🥪🍩☕

Always our pit stop when we pass by Gallup! This time we went with the Turkey BLT with Avocado on Wheat bread. It’s about $14 for the 12in which might sound like a lot but it’s definitely worth it. They load it up with all the goodness and warm it up. In all honesty you could probably go with the 6in and share that between two people. Great place to get food!

Best subs I have had. When ever in Gallup this is our go to! Fresh made dounuts and fresh made bread for their subs. Each 6 inch subs comes with a bag of regular chips and a pepperchini. Donuts are delicious. The best part of this place is their breakfast burritos that are only available for a limited time every morning. They sell out quickly so you have to get yours early!

Nice, clean little place with sit down tables. Everyone was so nice, and the owner was here abd very friendly. Great prices, and awesome donuts, pastries, and sandwiches. Will be back again before we leave the area and if I make it back to NM in the future.

Been raving to my fiance about how good this place is. When you first walk in the smell of fresh donuts fills your nose to your soul. more customers arrive, a line starts to form as were ordering. Customer service is where its at here, The guy was so polite and patient in taking our order he made sure our order was complete. We didnt feel rushed. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming. We ordered the roast beef, salami, and smoked turkey sandwiches. The bread loaf are soft and made fresh daily..... hunger has struck.....

Out of all food options in the Gallup area this by far is the best to get a sandwich with the standards of big chains like Jersey Mike’s and Jimmy John’s. Great sandwiches and bakery treats. I will be eating here everyday throughout my stay.Thank you for this gem!

We were traveling and found ourselves hungry at midnight. I called to ask if they REALLY ARE open 24 hours as Google listed. The friendly voice on the phone said “yes ma’am we sure are”You know it’s going to be great when the smell of fresh homemade bread mesmerizes you on the way in.My husband & I split a 12” pastrami Reuben. It was not your traditional sauerkraut sandwich- it was BETTER!! Loaded with goodness on soft toasted homemade bread!The chocolate on chocolate cake donut was as moist & fresh at midnight as anywhere else at 7am!Dont miss this place! A+++ food & service!

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast burritos, the best Ive tried in a very long time! Felt at home as soon as I walked thru the door. The donuts were amazing! The apple fritters were the best Ive EVER tasted and the cream filled bars were like my tastes buds have never been so happy, no way at such a terrible time in my life could something be so uplifting besides Jesus himself. This is one of my favorite places to eat in town. They have wonderful sandwiches that are generously sized, and yummy sweet treats. Donuts are not a personal favorite of mine, so I always get the Apple Fritter. Its my favorite! They have loads of other options as well. Definitely worth the drive to get out it! 10/10 would recommend!

Blueberry Donut is Amazing! Turkey Bacon Avocado on Wheat was hearty and tasty. Ham and Cheese on White was good and filling.

A few people recommended that I try this place when I was in town. It was definitely a cold greeting when I walked in. But the Food was pretty good. Got the Turkey Sub. (6” was pretty good size). Carrot cake was a little stale, but decent.

Stopped for gas on my way to Las Vegas. Wanted breakfast so I went to Taco Bell and they were closed. Saw this place and WOW! Had breakfast burritos and donuts. Great! I plan on stopping here again on my way home. Keep driving past Taco Bell and go to Westend Donut & Deli. Youll be glad you did. Follow up... Stopped on the way home 10 days later in the afternoon. Had a foot long salami sub. $12.xx. It tasted good but had maybe 1-2 ounces of meat on it, if that much. Also bought 6 donuts. 2 of them were as hard as a rock. Should not have been sold, not even for day old. Luckily the others were much better after they were put in the microwave for abut 12 seconds. My advice is to buy the donuts only in the morning.

The GPS recommended this place. Over 300 reviews and over 4.5 stars says a lot. We stopped in. We had THE BEST BLT sandwiches we’ve EVER had!!! The lady cashier was very welcoming, warm and knowledgeable. We walked in without masks and she so gently made us aware of the state mandate. The entire team was friendly, speedy and willing to share info. A MUST when passing by.

Had to come out to Gallup for work for 2 weeks, in 3/21, was so lucky to find West End Deli on my 2nd day. With all of gallup shut down the lines for food were ridiculous, my first day i spent 45 min in drive thru for panda express, just to be served cold food. Being open for 24 hours is a godsend for those working a off schedule. The food is fresh made every day, to include the bread for the subs. Breakfast has various burritos and pastries available, there is a 1/2 soup and sub lunch combo, and 10 different subs for a dinner selection. And if you like spicy, they got you covered, red and green chilis can be added to anything you desire. The owner is a fantastic man to have a conversation with, gives you tips and referrals to the local places to see and go. The setting is small and quaint, 20 or so people maximum. The subs are the best around, served warmed I throughly enjoyed the double meat roast beef and cheese. I cant praise the food and service enough. Will definitely make this a regular spot from now on.

I came here a month or two ago. Had the worlds worst experience on Route 666. I could not have met better people than the ones who run this restaurant. Both the husband and wife are some of the kindest and most generous people I have ever met. The pastries were to die for and the sandwiches were as delicious as they were huge. This is the lord’s sandwich shop.

Definitely would never go to West end Deli again after hearing they were spreading covid. Last time I was there the owner was talking about how he got covid like he was proud to have it. There not following proper covid procedures plus there very rude and disrespectful towards people. They need to be shut down.

Love their donuts, but the customer service is lacking (from the lady who seems to be the manager or owner). If a business is going to charge $12+ for a sandwich, you’d hope that they would be happily willing to customize it.. unfortunately this was not the case in our situation, we received a nice dose of snarky-ness instead.

A very good place for a deli sandwich. I had a Turkey one day and Tuna another day. Both on fresh made bread. You can tell the bread is made fresh. The size of the sandwiches are also good portions. Service was great with a smile and was in and out in no time.
