We’ll definitely be back to this coffee shop! We had an Almond Joy Iced Latte and an Espresso Con Panna to drink that were both good. What you would expect for both of those drinks, except they didn’t mix the latte at all… so all of the ingredients were completely separate when they handed it to me which was a bummer because then it came out of the drinking hole when I mixed it.We also got a Cheesecake Bar, Espresso Brownie, and Peanut Butter Bar 🤤 The brownie was dry and I wouldn’t get it again. The cheesecake was good too, but could use some fruit to add flavor. Now the peanut butter bar… holy…. I need 835 more of those… 🤤🤤🤤 It has graham cracker crust on the bottom that’s ~1/2in thick, covered with a huge layer of peanut butter, and topped with semisweet chocolate. It’s super rich but ugh YUM.We sat outside on the patio which was a nice area and shaded… but there was a really brave big bird that jumped on our table… tried to eat our food… then sat on my backpack… 🤢The service was also quite mediocre … very impersonal which I don’t expect from a community coffee shop 😕Mad props for the attempt in reducing waste from them though, I GREATLY appreciate this!!!

Super nice people here! And a shaded patio & water bowls for pups. Doggies can’t go inside, but you can order online & mention that you’re outside with your dog & they’ll bring your order out to you. They did for me and it was super quick, too! ❤️ The cold brew and the berry smoothie are good. The smoothie has yogurt by default, so if you can’t have dairy just mention it in the notes section. 😊

I had an excellent cappuccino, although I was hoping to have it in an old-fashioned traditional white porcelain cup, which seems complicated to find today. MOD had ample indoor and outdoor seating, which was nice. It was local vacation coffee for us, but it seemed like a place a lot of locals go-to for work and school.

Beautiful shop with great coffee! The outdoor seating are is gorgeous. I love that they have a Just Trust Me menu option where they just surprise you with what latte you get. The survivor bars here are to die for.

Stopped by here while we were hanging around downtown Galveston. I had Earl Grey tea and my wife had an ice latte. Drinks tasted great. Atmosphere is inviting, with cool art and decorations on the tables. Glad we stopped by.

If you are a coffee drinker, MOD Coffeehouse will become your morning stop every day while on vacation! After trying it out on day 1, we ended up going back every morning! I got The Gonzo, The Holly and Honey Bee, all iced with oat milk, and all were perfection (insert chef’s kiss)! I can be a picky coffee drinker, so finding killer iced lattes with oat milk in a great spot made morning coffee runs that much easier! They also have a rotating supply of kolaches from a local baker, and the birthday cake was by far my favorite!My husband is a chai tea latte drinker, and he said that MOD’s chai was in the running for being one of the best he’s ever had.The baristas were all friendly, made the drinks quickly and correctly! I highly recommend hitting up MOD for morning coffee, tea and a light breakfast!

This is a great coffee shop. Im a black coffee guy and thats all I got the several times I stopped in. Their house blend has a great flavor. I also had a pecan bar and snickerdoodle and they were great. Best part about this place is the seating outside. Great place to chat with friends or read a book. Cant wait to come back.

After pillaging our way through a great used bookstore nearby, we felt the need to replenish ourselves by imbibing in some caffeine. Lucky for us some of our group knew MOD was a stellar supplier of all things caffeinated. I copied my wife and got a tasty frozen blended thingy like she did. One book junkie got a flat white iced drink, another got an iced Americano....shes picky about this drink and this place does this right....we all left very happy.

My friend and I stopped by here twice while spending time in Galveston before and after a cruise we went on.They make really great coffee and food. I dont like coffee so I had a Gonzo. My friend got Chai tea. Both of us were so happy with our drinks.We also got the Reggy - a biscuit and gravy breakfast item. Both of us were sitting in our seats bouncing with happiness.Thanks for the awesome service, coffee and food. We absolutely will be back the next we are in Galveston!

Hats off to the folks who run Mod! We were on vacation in Galveston and were keen to visit several top rated coffee houses. Mod is the best by far! I especially enjoyed the Honey Bee latte! My daughter asked for the espresso brownie, twice!The ambiance is very comfortable and relaxed. I would certainly make this my everyday coffee house if I lived in Galveston.

Visiting Galveston and found this place. Very friendly and kind people. My latte tasted very good and kids drinks were delicious. Husband loved his drink. We are staying here for a week and will certainly come back again!

Best coffee shop in Galveston with wonderful shaded outdoor seating area along with indoor seating. Very creative enclosure for covid at the counter made from salvaged windows. Friendly staff. Located in the historic Pix building. Look for the water elevation marker on the ouside wall from hurricane Ike. It is close to seven feet above the street level.

Street Patio is beautiful to sit in and chat under the pergola with greenery or just to take in the scenery, its definitely peaceful

Nifty little neighborhood coffee house. Good beans, eclectic environment w comfy seating nook. I enjoyed the flavor of the beans in my latte...just enough spices. Wish they had stevia and wish the bathroom had been cleaner.

My husband stayed with his tried and true americano and I got a special they make there the hummingbird. It was great, loved every drop. Id never had lavender in a beverage before but it was nice and relaxing.

This coffee shop has a comfortable atmosphere, very pleasant baristas, and delicious coffee! Even with a longer line, it moves quickly. There is plenty of seating inside and out. I wish I was in Galveston longer so I could try the other specialty lattes. They all sound delicious!

Dont even bother looking for Starbucks. This place is by far better. The coffee has a subtle citrus undertone that fits right into the island vibe. We loved it so much, we bought some beans to bring home with us. The also have teas for all the tea lovers out there.

Mod is one of two go-to places on the island for my husband and I. We decide on a whim to go out there and off we go from our place in Houston. The coffee, while being a bit stronger for me than Id like, is still really good. I know that for others itd be perfect. Ive had different pastries and while theyre pretty good I cant say Ive super loved them either. Still Id recommend giving them a go especially the pumpkin pie bar with whip shown. Lots of people go here (youll see plenty who seem to be students) so if perchance you arent able to find seating inside you can always sit outside. Plenty do. The overall vibe of Mod is laid back and friendly, whether it be the employees or the customers. This is definitely a place to stop at when in Galveston... or like me, when you feel up for a little drive to a good coffee shop.

Nice little coffee shop, It looks like a great spot to study when Covid calms down and they open up, but for now the outside seating area is nice and convenient, I ordered the Honey Bee latte and was surprised by how good it was, I’m hesitant to try new things but the name intrigued me and I can say it did not disappoint! I’ll definitely be coming back to try their other drinks and pastries.

It is a delightful experience to hang out and relax. As you can see everyone is welcome. They provide water for pets as well. Mod caffee even has a wide extended location on the right hand side to handle gatherings?

The coffee is good, they dont offer pour overs however. The patio is covered in carolina jasmine and it smells absolutely wonderful. A great place to enjoy a cup.

My family visits Galveston often and Mod Coffee shop has always been a favorite of ours... but this past year... the last several visits have been so disappointing due to the very unfriendly & borderline rude demeanor of the staff... a huge killjoy and ruined vibe. We keep trying again, hoping it was an off day for the staff... but each time lately the same. Please have those who do not enjoy people to not serve people. Coffee & snacks are great... the team... sadly, not so much. Will still try again, next time... but sure hope something changes.

This place is nice! Wish we would have come here years ago to get our coffee fix in the mornings while on vacation.Even sat outside under the foliage during a quick shower storm and it was great.

Ive been a Greater Houstonian all 34 years of my life and have come to Galveston bare minimum yearly. My husband and I have frequented The Strand our entire 15yr relationship (sometimes multiple times a year) and just this last week (June 13th 2021) I found this coffee shop while exploring without our kids. I feel like Ive missed put on literally the best tasting coffee Ive ever had in my life! Not to mention the kind and accomidatibf staff there! I told my husband that Starbucks will simply never do and Ill be counting down the days until we come back to the island not for the beach, but for the daily visit I will most certainly make here to MOD coffee!

My coffee was good, but the barista didnt even look at me or respond when I said, Hello, how are you?

The staff is so friendly and the coffee quality is great. Weather you need to have a meeting somewhere, work on your computer, or study - I highly recommend coming here. The Lunch wraps are also fantastic if you’re wanting a quick light lunch!
