Always a great lunch here!!!Fast,fresh and good service from everyone in the store been a family favorite for many many years!

Friendly staff and good-quality sandwiches at-the-ready. They have a very cool smoothie machine that serves actually healthy smoothies (well the strawberry banana one is anyway). NO PUBLIC BATHROOM but there are port-o-cans out back. Four stars because the shelves were slightly bare and I prefer A/C when I potty. Still a good, convenient stop.

We called ahead to the deli for sandwiches and breakfast a couple times. The food was delicious. Simple menu but we didnt need anything fancy for a beach day. The store had the basics for cooking at home. It has a coffee machine for easy coffee.

We stopped for snacks and drinks but also ordered sandwiches at the counter. I got the club sandwich and it was delicious! My husband got a chicken salad sandwich and said it was very good.

Decent beer selection, one of the only stores that far down.Staff was nice, even though it was fathers day and they were busy.

One of the best places to stop, get food, sand toys, bell nets, deli, beverages, booze and even pizza.

One of the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich’s you will ever have. Authentic, and Boar’s Head meats make this Deli sub shop the best. Of course! Mr. Hummel is a Eagle fan. We won’t hold that against him! 4 stars for excellence. The last start for silver and blue!

After we stood at the deli counter for about 10 minutes, the lady behind the counter said it would be 20 more minutes before she could take my order. I told her no thanks Im gone .

Will never visit this place again. The worker there had to be the owner because if someone treated my customers like this woman was treating people, she wouldnt have a job. The only way this place makes money is that theyre the closest store without having to drive into town. Once again, Ill never spend a dime in this store again!

Only complaint is that the bathrooms are porta-potties. Other than that, the women who make the food do an excellent job! Everything on the menu hits the spot for us working or for those spending the day on the beach!

I’ve had Hunt’s Pizza many different locations, but Hummels does it right. Nice people at this location. Very friendly.

This is a favorite country store where you can find anything you expect from a convenience store to a small country eatery like pizza, burgers and sandwiches to icecream, and coffee as well as basic hardware tools, and newspapers like the New York Times. They also sell fruits, and beach supplies. And, yes, there is a gas station there too. This is a one-stop shop for all your necessities if you live in the Jamaica Beach district. But most importantly, the ladies who run the store are awesome and kind and helpful.

Local store for quick grocery shopping. Selection could have been better. Check their breakfast burritos.

Genuinely pleasant atmosphere. You feel the good vibes as walk in the door. A type of people where you can take a deep breath, stretch, and slowly exhale......and be welcomed with a nod of appreciation and understanding....JUST DOWNRIGHT GOOD STUFF ALL THE WAY

One of the best double bacon cheese burger I ever had.

Its a nice store. The variety is ok. It is very pricey. But if you dont want to drive into Galveston then its your only option. Prices are not on all the items and the clerk was not very knowledgeable on prices either. Will definitely stop at Kroger or Walmart before I go back to Jamaica Beach and save $$$

If you order before 1:30 you MIGHT be able to get your hands on a Philly. They frequently sell out. They are delicious. Hummel is a PA native who knows his stuff. They carry Boars Head products and sell the packaged pre sliced cheese for less than Kroger. They get a nice selection of Bluebell ice cream, especially the limited edition flavors. The people who work there are super friendly. The lunch rush gets crazy at the deli.

Fantastic Tuna Ssndwich on toasted WHEAT..great cheeseburgers!! AND french fries. I have recently moved toward the west end and I LOVE HUMMELS!! Great store with premade tuna, chicken salad, pistachio salad, and I hear really good ribs. Havent tried them yet, next maybe? Great atmosphere!

Nice store conveniently located near Pirates Beach in Galveston. They have a good selection of convenience store items and they have a deli that prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Walked up to the checkout ; said hello to the clerk and she finished reading something on her phone. She finally acknowledged me after Two or three minutes. Sorry for interrupting your Facebook time; I only wanted to check out😡

Great little store, not quite a gas station (&they no longer sell gasoline), but not quite a market either. They do have just the right selections for a quick trip to pick up an item or two-usually the same one or two things I forgot to buy in town.They also have a great selection of beach essentials, a deli in-store as well as a DIY ice cream shake machine.I have to say that the shake-maker was a first time for me & am looking forward to heading back to Hummels to make one!

You wouldnt think they offered an amazing burger...but I have had their burger it was great!!!

Maybe they are not accustomed to the Goole Pirates... I didnt fell the love... Dry sandwich, rude people, asking for a packet of extra mayo... and be ready to walk the plank. Do yourself a favor... Marios Pizza is next door anything is better than this even pizza my least favorite dish.

This store goes way back. I used to live in galveston for most of my life. I remember whenDomonic Sasser and his family owned the place. Used to eat lunch there every day. The foodwas a little pricey, but it was always great.
