The seafood DEAL section at this Kroger is better than any Kroger Ive seen. Well duh because its on the beach. They get a lot of left over wild catches from the fishermen. If you go here early, youll score a lot of great DEALs that would have cost you twice as much at those boutique seafood stores (like Katies Market).

Busy busy busy, we were there at 3 on a Tuesday and it was packed. Checkout was fairly quick but dang was it packed. Medium sized grocery store but they have everything. Deli was great with the boars head meats. Yumm. Clean store, helpful staff. Small parking lot and super busy store made me give it a 4 out of 5.

This store is being located at a fantastic location. If you are going for a walk at beach and wanna buy something this is the right place. Well maintained, very fresh produce and varieties with deals.

I love Kroger but they always fail me with the fresh flour tortillas. They never have any. When I do find them I have to buy three big packs and keep them in my freezer to make sure I have enough for each week. Also the avocados are always green ! Please have tortillas and avocados that we can eat the next day not a week later. 🥑

This store has great produce! Also, the pre-made sandwiches, etc. in the deli are always fresh and quite a variety. The meat is fresh and Kroger has great meat sales! Dont forget to grab a Starbucks coffee while youre there! Its right inside!

I was filling up my gas tank on pump # 1 when the lady in charge of the gas station came to me very close to my face (1 ft apart) she screamed me and said “we don’t have the gasoline you’re filling right now” I asked her very polite “”OK just tell me why I am able to filling my tank right now, why is passing gas if you said you don’t have gasoline” instead to gave an answer, she got even closer to my face without mask on and screamed even louder “We don’t have gasoline” I continued filling up the tank, I finish I went inside, I spoke with the supervisor, he said that lady’s name was “Latania”.what I did wrong to deserve unmasked lady screamed me ?I was even able to see her teeth and throat, her missing teeth too.Is that the way to treat clients in Kroger ?Next time will happen when I will be buying tomatoes?She felt untitled to scream because she was away from her supervisor and nobody in the store can hear her.I felt my only mistake was to make purchases in Kroger Galveston.

While Kroger generally has good food and prices we purchased Eddy’s Fajita Skirt Steak and had to throw it away. It was so tough we could barely cut it and in no way could we chew it. Please avoid Eddy’s products at all costs.

I gave two stars because of the friendly service. The app says you deliver they say you do not. Very confusing in a time when someone might need delivery

Was in this store as I have been many times. Was searching for a particular alcohol seltzer. One which you only had 2 singles. So any older man restocking this area kindly opened a variety pack and completed my six pack for me. He was so sweet and helpful. Thank you Again. Great prices and great selection. We found everything we wanted here and they had great deals if you get their loyalty card. The card is super easy to get as well. It is also clean and the workers are friendly. They dont have great beach towels though which was surprising.

I love this store! This location is full of friendly, smiling, helpful folks that seem to Love their jobs! Very rare these days! The hot deli section has delicious foods! Got the spaghetti today. So Good! I appreciate the Wide Selection of Produce! The Salad Bar is Awesome! Just spent $9 on what is easily a $15 salad elsewhere! Ill always give them my $$$!

Krogers is great My only issue with krogers is there sushi bar every time I go there the guys are the people working there are rude and they are not helpful at all like as in H EBs sushi bar they are very helpful and they dont mix up the wussabi to where it touches the sushi. Krogers really needs to address their sushi bar employees.

Wish I could give them more stars, we just recently moved to the Island and the Kroger here is fantastic!!!! They have an awesome selection of healthy options like gluten free and vegan. We were in self checkout today and Evan was so friendly helpful and attentive! The pharmacy department is very helpful! Very happy to this kroger here!

Very clean and organized. This grocery store has everything from Chick-fil-A sauce to snacks for a day at the beach to playing cards. There are countless options for anyones personal needs.

Staff isnt too friendly. Do NOT HELP a customer find a particular item. They act like youre bothering them if you ask for assistance. Other than that. Its ok

Went to Krogers this morning and Millie was my casher according to this receipt. I said good morning, Nothing back from. Ok maybe I just couldnt hear with the mask on, as she scans my items she throws them to the end of station. I just smiled because whos going to bag them, Millie you, now she has to walk over to the end of the register for what she just threw like a NFL QB and bag my groceries. She should take her happy pills before she comes to work.

They charge $15 just to put helium in 1 balloon!!!! I bought off Amazon!!! Party city doesn’t even charge that much!

It was about as good as any Krogers. A couple strange aisle pair ups (like office supplies being with all the baby paraphernalia), but overall pretty standard. The balloon/flower staff member was incredibly kind and competent so I took a picture of the flowers in tribute to her.

The restrooms are very dirty. Very crowded.

Offered much more than we were expecting in a grocery store.

Best fruit on the island.

If you live here, then you know about Kroger as a favorite. Visitors find easy to get to and have favorite things like home.

This is a pretty nice Kroger. Its usually busy, which is to be expected considering its one of only three legitimate grocery stores on this island. The store is clean and employees are always working hard restocking shelves. One negative is the parking lot - its narrow and poorly laid out, and there are always carts everywhere blocking spaces. And because of COVID they lock the side entrance at 8 PM, but that means they also lock up at least half of their carts...so if you go shopping at night because you get off work late or want to avoid big crowds (that strategy doesnt work, its still very busy at night), be aware that you may be forced to use a basket to hold all of your stuff.

Most clean and kept up Krogers Ive been to across Houston. And staff is friendly. They have everything you can ask for for the most part. Coffee,coinstar,and well wanted to make a request hopefully corporate will see it....**I thought it would be a great idea for the island to have a place we can recycle and get paid for it. I try my best to recycle regardless. The pic below is a can/bottle recycle center for a walmart not sure the area. But i think it would keep the Island alil cleaner. And Krogers along with HEB got everything you can ask for. Im posting it on HEB site as well...im just in love with this idea and hope someone brings it to texas(Galveston Area)

10:50pm. Walk into store, police officer stops myself and other customers walking in saying store closes at 11pm. All of us said its not 11 were grabbing a couple of things and will be out before 11. Officer begins to whine that he and the staff all need to be able to leave by 11:00 p.m. so theyre not letting any customers in. Explain Im here to get items for my family we need them, he replies with theres other convenience stores.First off the store states that it closes at midnight online and on the storefront, 2nd off this is hands down the worst experience Ive ever had at any grocery store in any of the places Ive lived in the state of Texas and all of the places Ive traveled throughout the US.TERRIBLE! RODNEY MCMULLEN I HOPE THIS GETS TO YOU, THIS IS NOT THE STANDARD YOU SET.Im not a big fish, but it certainly makes me want to sell my Kroger stock.

Went to pick up a couple of items for the night and fell in love with everything! I’m from Houston and our Kroger isn’t as nice. The deli section had a selection of food that looked so fresh, I wanted to have everything I saw. I was sorry we were having dinner at the strand. This is definitely my one stop shopping when visiting Galveston.

Please turn off the constant static of the stores PA system. Its quite nerve wracking and makes for a very unpleasant shopping experience.

You all need a new Sushi crew. Rice was seemingly uncooked and hard. Packages were labeled wrong. Commented “Philly Roll is Salmon and cream cheese. This is imitation crab. Looks like a California Roll”. The two of them looked at me as if I had three heads. Rolls should be better with your store on the gulf.

Super nice store. The associates are kind. Well besides some in the deli. The store is clean and usually is always stocked.

I left cash back in machine, took my groceries. Attendant came to parking lot and gave me my money. If you are older or forgetful, you have to be grateful for this.

KROGER, The best Grocery Store in the Galveston Area. They just finished renovating this store inside and and out few months ago. Is very clean and spacious.Plenty of Food, Drinks, Grocery and Produce choices along with other miscellaneous items. And prices are reasonable, and the food and produce is very very fresh. They added a new Cheese section. Great choices. They also have a Sushi Bar. Fresh Sushi made every day.They bring fresh produce every day. And the Customer service is excellent and they work very hard to keep customers very very Happy. I have been a happy customer for the last 20 years. Love the store. I would not go anywhere else, even if they had lower prices.By the way, dont forget to visit their Starbucks Coffee. Excellent cafe. God bless this store and its employees.

I usually go to this Kroger on the island. This is my first time to do bill pay, since I recently became fond of paying my bills with cash. I waited in line for a short amount of time. The employee Millie was such a doll. She was professional and incredibly helpful for my future transactions. Millie made my experience at the Kroger customer service department very enjoyable. Just for that alone, I will always use Kroger for any bills and or any of their services they offer.

Iv shopped at Krogers for over 10 years the woman elsa that helped me out she was such a sweet and beautiful woman to help out a poor guy like myself Im still so glad there is such sweet caring women out there if u see elsa tell her great job

So my six year old son got lost. Within five minutes they called me over the loudspeaker and about five employees including management AND store police were with my son. They were very pleasant; we all kept telling each other thank you!

Face masks are required at this location. However half of the employees i see are either not wearing masks at all, or have them only half on rendering them useless. In my opinion this is unacceptable, and a failure on behalf of krogers management. There should be proper PPE training courses that teach their employees how to use a mask properly and the importance of wearing them properly. There should also be consequences for those who violate the mask wearing protocal. I also saw this issue with several of their customers, who had not been properly instructed by employees and were not even wearing masks. The responsibility of ensuring patrons are properly wearing masks should fall on the krogers employees who should be posted at the door like a walmart greeter.

This is the second Kroger that has disappointed us. Things started out okay, but once again the meat department failed us. We went there to get several things and the T-Bones were on sale. When we asked where the sale items were, the worker said, They will be out in 2 minutes. So, 10 minutes later, after finishing whatever he was tending to, he went to the back. Oh and he never returned. We gave up after another 8-10 minutes, and went to the front...and of course, ONLY SELF CHECKOUTS JUST LIKE WALMART. That was a mess. I always say, if I have to check myself out, I want the employee discount. We just moved to Galveston. Done with Kroger in Galveston and every other Kroger. Done. I miss H-E-B.

Ok, you know when you stop at the store for that “1” item and you get there and their out of it on the shelf?! Yes, that happened to me! 🙁 However, there came my savior that bothered to go to the back storage in produce and got me the “Dill” I needed! Reminded me what we have up north (Safeway) and I loved how accessible everything was. Great variety of fresh produce and an unbelievable selection of alcohol beverages.

If youre going to the beach, youll appreciate this Kroger. Fair pricing on drinks, deli, bakery, snack foods and even beach products. This Kroger is well above average as far as having available cashiers and self check-out stations. Even with the high-volume this store is very well-stocked. They also have the attached gas station, if you want to use your reward points right away. The staff is nice and the store is clean. Sometimes its difficult to find a parking spot. But hang around, youll see one pop open shortly. This is the only supermarket located directly on the Seawall.

Great selection of fresh foods and vegetables. Very convenient if you are staying at a hotel in this area. They will also have the things that you may have forgotten on your trip to the beach.

Clean well staffed prices where reasonable. Came in from out of town had to grab a few things during a Sunday rush. Even with the expected long lines I still was in out in pretty good time. The staff was helpful and friendly.

I had lost my wallet, all the money I had, my drivers license and other belongings were in there. i don’t know how I would have gotten back home, luckily he found it !! I probably spend $150. to $200. a week in this place and I was looking at the strawberries and open one up and saw a couple of rotten ones in the package and was about to take them out and the guy that works there in the produce department the older gentleman yelled at me from across the produce area You cannot take out or exchange the strawberries!. I was so embarrassed I yelled back at him and told him do not embarrass me in front of everybody over a couple of strawberries Im sorry they were rotten I didnt know I couldnt touch them and he says even if theyre rotting youre not allowed to mess with the strawberries! right afterwards a lady came up to me and said good for you he deserved to be put in his place! Really, berrating customers over a couple of strawberries unbelievable!

Pretty standard Kroger. Good selection made better by using their reward card. Get points to get cheap gas. Even when it looks busy the lines move pretty quickly. The bakery is definitely the weak link to me. Not a very impressive selection so I usually get my bread elsewhere.

Has everything I need.Chicken, bread, veggies, soft drinks, other fixings. Quick & convenient.Everybody just going about their business. Life goes on.

I like Krogers but this one has issues about Master Card and MUST use a pin number. Went through a nightmare. I am use to shopping at sister stores FRYS in AZ. Also, they need security out in parking lot encountered nasty people. The inside of store is nice and was clean. Great fruits and veggies! Not as high as Randalls! Will return! 😃

The pharmacy tech remembered my name - no prompting, and I was even there to pick something up for my wife, not myself. Plus I havent filled even 10 prescriptions here. Just think about what kind of thoughtfulness it takes to do that...!

Where were from these are known by a different name but still owned by the same company. For this reason we were able to find many of the things we prefer to use. It was also nice to see that they maintain the standard of fresh, great tasting, and good looking produce. The only complaints we have is the store feels cramped in several areas and the checkout process is typically slow. Two other nice features to the store are plastic carts that reduce noise tremendously and that the store looks and feels clean.

We stayed close by on the seawall. This is a newer store. It is clean and nice inside. They have an outstanding selection from the deli, bakery and local meat/seafood products. We are from out of state and a nice Kroger or HEB with the food selections are hard to beat.

Love Kroger good organic selection. Some things not stocked well which seems to have been since the new grand opening. Dairy and some produce in particular. Wonderful staff. Very helpful.

All the employees are very friendly..helpful..cheerful...& professional. My medical prescriptions were the lowest prices Ive ever found! The store is neat & clean..no cluttered isles...fruit is fresh & all fruits & veggies were neatly displayed. The selections of cheeses are mind boggling! And the variety of fresh baked bread was amazing! I love that the cheeses each had a card describing what it was made of & described the flavor & I love that! The one thing I hate is the parking lot! Big mistake to build it slanting! Im disabled & all handicap spaces were taken...I had a very hard time trying to hold the basket from rolling away while trying to get my bags in so forget beiing able to use my cane!! I hate that parking lot!! Other than that I do love the store!!

I love this Kroger BUT they need to get a handle on their almond butter and peanut butter machine in the specialty section. There is either no lids, no cups or no product. Twice in a week I havent been able to get my almond butter. FIX IT. Please

This place is extremely busy... but remains well stocked and has awesome service. They also carry plenty of beach necessities.

This is OUR store when we come to Galveston. The prices and selections are great. The service is consistently excellent. Their meat/seafood market is clean and well stocked at all hours of the day. Our favorite thing about this store......steamed shrimp. With or without seasoning, they will steam your shrimp for free and they will be perfectly cooked. This store is just too notch on many levels!

If i could rate at lower number i would because, every single management is awful there is a black super visor with the most tackiest name she’s utterly disrespectful me personally i think she burns her arms due to the pressure of working there due to the many people that shop there; also there is a tall white manager that follows every one around the store. my recommendation is to go shop at randall’s they’re much nicer!!!!!

Great fruit always fresh. Online shopping is new here, 1st time is free $4 after that! Pretty awesome. Starbucks inside gets 1 star, rude, slow and dont listen to you. They just want to chat with coworkers

This is my neighborhood grocery store and it really is second to none on quality, customer service, and friendliness. Its the only store Ive ever shopped at where the staff goes out of there way to stop what theyre doing just to say hello or to help you find what you need. I prefer to buy my produce here because its the freshest with the best prices and their organic and vegetarian section is always full of variety which is important to me. Just because Im a vegetarian doesnt mean I want to be inconvenienced by having to buy my food online. They really have everything I need.

Coming for a visit and called to see if they have organic food. Yes they do!!! I love Kroger and cant wait to visit. I guess I will have to review after I come. All I know is Kroger has the best service of any grocery store I have ever visited. When I called the meat department I received a warm welcome. I now know they will take care of me when I arrive.
