If I could give them 0 stars I would. Seriously do your research before choosing this company. There are TONS of better local companies that do a much better job.

Helpful even when I was just calling for some advice. They knew I wasnt going to be bringing in my bike (I dont have a way of getting it there) and they still gave me a lot of advice And information for me to get it up and running again. Knowledgeable and kind.

Better attention to detail that makes a bike maintenance last longer before needs service again. Moto one messed up fixing a petcock that was hard to turn 4 visits before finding someone new; jm racing was able to tell me more about the bike in few mins then all visits to moto one

Horrible all around. I had paid in full for them to work on my motorcycle and three months later after continuously asking about progress only to be spoken to extremely unprofessionally and rude. After three months I went into the shop only to find that my motorcycle had been pulled apart and left in a box in the corner of the shop. I strongly recommend finding another shop to take care of your repairs.

Without a doubt Josh Mott Racing is the best shop Ive ever been to. Bike or Automotive. The Motts are not only superb at their work, but they care about it as well. Theyre willing to take the extra time to not only tell you what they did to your vehicle, but also how and why they did it.They have more than earned my business and if anyone in the Treasure Valley is trying to find a shop that does quality work and doesnt attempt to squeeze your wallet into submission; Josh Mott Racing is the shop for you. Absolutely fantastic!

JMR was awesome at getting my sons bike in for fork seal repairs during spring break. We were waiting on his bike to get done to head out riding, and what they told us would take 2-3 days took 1. We ended up picking up the bike the same day. They were nice over the phone and charged a fraction of what the dealerships charge and got it done 2 weeks sooner! We get to spend more of spring break riding thanks to them. Thanks, JMR. We will be back!

I was told by my local dealer they could get to my bike in November and what they would charge. I called around and found JMR Motorcycle Repair. He said he was very busy but if I dropped it off it would go into the queue; about 3-4 weeks out. He got to it in 4 weeks, spent 2 days completely fixing the issues, performed additional work that he found was needed, washed it, filled the tank, and STILL charged less than the dealer had quoted.Bike runs great. Big thanks to the straight talking folks at JMR.

The good reviews of this company are a joke- they’re either his friends or their paid. This place is horrible. Good luck getting them to do any work, let alone not getting screamed at in the process. Still shocked that as their customer I was yelled at for checking on my own property after months of not hearing anything.

Josh and Randy lowered the front and rear suspension on my daughters KTM 200 XC and in the process found other issues. The bike has a PDS suspension and they offered advice on how much it could be lowered and did a fantastic job. My daughter absolutely loves the way it works now. They were fair and honest and did great work. They are a father son pair that have grown up riding and racing and making things work. I do most of my work myself but when I need something done they are my go to shop.

Had the privilege of doing business with Josh for some suspension set up, as well as lacing up a set of rims for flat tracking. As soon as I walked into the shop I was greeted with welcoming conversation as well as uncountable knowledge. I have been riding, racing, and working on bikes since I was 4. At no time did I feel like the Motts were pulling my chain or trying to just make a quick buck. They were straight forward about their work and prices. They also were very efficient. From the time I agreed to have the work completed it was less than a week and that was with ordering the parts. Thank you Josh and I will hopefully see you at the track!

I noticed Id blown a fork seal on my Africa Twin. Called and they took in the bike right away. The shop was REALLY busy but they still got my bike done in 1 business day and charged me a reasonable price for the work.Even though it was 10 min from closing when I picked it up, they took the time to discuss suspensions (in general) and setup of my bike.I will definitely be back with my other bike in the near future.Highly recommend.

They’ve had my bike for 3 months, billed me almost 1,000 dollars and they haven’t even started working on it. I’ve called and get the same lame excuse( oh we’re really busy) well I dropped my bike off literally in the winter and it’s May now and I haven’t heard anything. These guys are the pits with customer service. I wish they refused me to begin with so I wouldn’t have wasted all my dam time with them.

I had an issue where a bolt got cross-threaded or somehow stuck in my fender and then the stupid thing snapped off, leaving a tightly plugged fender hole, preventing me from mounting my saddlebags or even properly securing my rear fender. I decided to see what JMR could do about it, and they managed to extract the piece of broken bolt shaft and get my saddlebag hardware mounted in under a couple hours. These guys are go-getters and problem solvers!

Horrible! Quad has been paid in full for 3 weeks, theyve had my parts for a month, and my quad has been there over a month! Total cost to have cylinder machined and new gaskets in the top end was $800... thats more than the dealerships charge! When i went in to pay them my quad was outside with engine apart and coolers and junk stacked on top of it.. I was originally told it would be ready within the week my parts came in, I spoke with them 2 weeks ago and they said it was next in line, give them a week...called last week and it wasnt quite ready. Finally called today, and now they now have a full shop with 5 or 6 customers in front of me! Not happy! Never again will I do business with them!

Excellent shop, professional and timely service.I have an Aprilia Mana that I bought on the east coast before moving back home to Boise. Unfortunately Boise has NO Aprilia dealer and it’s been hard to find ANYONE willing to work on such a strange Italian made bike here in the valley. The nearest dealer is in Salt Lake and I for sure wasn’t going to ship it down there just to get the thing into running condition. Fortunately for me the gents at Josh Mott told me they would take a look in a week or two but it actually ended up being a week.I was shocked, flabbergasted, you name it... that they were able to get it up and running so quick. I mean this thing has an 850cc Italian made engine with a custom CVT transmission controlled by all sorts of complicated computer controllers... I mean it has a “Rain” setting for the transmission. Wow. it was running and cleaned up in a week after sitting OUTSIDE in Boise weather for 8 years. Hats off guys... and thanks again for taking a risk on my European project bike. I would definitely go back to JMR.

DATE 7/28/18In regards to any and all negative BOGUS REVIEWS of my company JMR & RPM we would like to say that we write approximately 400 work orders a year for motorcycle repair . Out of that 400 work orders there is always 1 or 2 customers a year that we just cant make happy so that means that we made 398 customers very happy. So I would like to thank the 398 loyal and honest customers that we served this year and we will even serve you better next year . To the 1 or 2 unhappy customers remember the phone book is full of unsuspecting businesses just waiting for your bad reviews .

Over the last 10 years, I have had repairs done on several different ktm motorcycles by the Motts, from suspension rebuilds to bottom end rebuilds, to simple things that I just dont have the tools or time for. They are not quite as flashy as a big dealership, but the work has always been good, and done for a reasonable price, and you get to actually talk to very experienced mechanics. They are my first choice for motorcycle or atv repair in the treasure valley.

Ripped off on services done to motorcycle. Charged 2 times for the same thing. Modified the chain and said it should hold. Then we bring the bike to him and he revved the engine insanely hard and messed it up further. Would not recommend this place for ANY work.

Cant go negative so Im rating him a 1. Brought an older ATV I purchased in for Carb work. He upsold me into a full fuel system cleaning (+$300) which included a cleaning of the fuel tank as he assured me that such an old machine would have gunk buildup causing another carb rebuild in the near future. I picked up my fixed ride but got busy and it took me a month to take it for a real ride. Before I finished the tank, it was showing signs of carb failure & leaking at the fuel selector switch. I called JMR & he told me to bring it in. I arrived with the bike and felt ambushed. He proceeded to accuse me of being the cause of the issue - said it was probably rust from my fuel can. I informed him that I have a plastic fuel can that is only filled with non ethanol fuel. He immediately went down a couple other paths of how I was the cause. The old Army guy in me was getting frustrated at being talked at so I finally interrupt him to ask why he didnt think it was possible that the full service cleaning could have left a remnant of debris which caused the issue. Not possible, he ranted and raved and told me hed fix my problem but itd cost another $60+ whatever else he found to fix and would take a week or two. Not this time. I did what I should have done and you should do... Went to Amazon, bought a new carb for $60, installed (took me about an hour), kept my old one & ordered a $10 rebuild kit for next time. I paid and would pay for local service but not for a hassle. Thanks to Amazon & Youtube, poor service providers like this can prey on someone else.

Not sure about their business practices, but if it’s anything similar to the reckless and consciously inconsiderate way they drive the company car, it’s not promising.
