They have such an amazing collection for the family. Lots of children books which I was happy to see. The owner was here during our visit, he is very knowledgeable, friendly & ready to help find the perfect book for you.

I am a Christian and I came to this bookstore to know more about Islam and to read about their refutations of my faith and I am eternally grateful to have come to this bookstore. They treated me with the upmost respect and kindness and answered my questions with intelligent and thoughtful answers. Very knowledgeable, respectful, humble and kind customer service and people. Old faithful bookstore in little Arabia. Youll find everything you need (religious books / non-religious books). There are Arabic fiction and non-Arabic fiction translated to Arabic books. Religious books in Arabic and in English. All the classic works of Islamic religious books. History books in Arabic and in English. Art books in both Arabic and in English. Cooking books both in arabic and in English. Computer tech books. Kids school books of all levels. Kids and young adults books of all kinds. Kids story reading on Saturdays. Other special books signing events. But I usually visit to have tea with Jarir, his brother and his dad.

Jarir and his son are very sweet and welcomed me to the bookstore like i am a guest in their home. I will be coming back for more books inshallah

The worst service I have ever had.If you want to be served respectfully do NOT visit this place!!!I saw the high rating and I drove for an hour to buy some Islamic and Arabic books but I was so disappointed to be treated rudely.

Awesome place, a lot of selections, both Arabic and English. I spent about an hour reading right there, when I have time I will plan to spend a whole afternoon surrounded by books and just read iA. Even though there is a lot of books and shelves, you dont get a dingy feeling at all, its bright and airy. (11/3/2018) Update: they have added a nice corner couch to sit it and read, love it!

I just came from the bookstore and I have to say that this bookstore is the Mecca (no pun intended) of Arabic علم in the U.S. The guy was super helpful and he got me what I needed. This place is a must if you want to learn Arabic. They got a wide-selection for everything Arabic. Surpisingly they also have books in Spanish and Urdu. Also, thanks to the people who recommended the place for me.شکرا جزیلاً صدیقم.

Ive gotten every book that I have ever needed for our Arabic School from Jarir and I have also gotten some Islamic books from here as well over the years. Their shipping is fast and easy. I always have the best online experience here. I highly recommend Jarir Bookstore!

I saw on the store website that there was a large sale on the books. I wanted to buy a cookbook on Middle Eastern food. However, their online system was so faulty that it would not accept my credit card. I tried entering in my credit card information multiple times, but the system still would not let me do it. I just gave up since this was so difficult. I ended up buying what I needed on Amazon--and there were no issues there. This store really needs to fix its online ordering system. I liked a lot of the items that were sold here, but it was just too much of an issue with the online billing system. I would have been a customer for life, but after this I cannot recommend this store. They really need to fix things up here or risk going out of business. Especially with brick and mortar stores like these, there is A LOT of competition from online retailers.

Great selection of books for adults and kids

This place is not friendly at all. I went in planning to buy something but the owner was very rude and told me that the store was not open to the public. I asked to buy a certain item that was on the website and he told me that the store did not have that for sale. This was a lie he told me because this item was listed on the website. When I left the store, he watched me as I went out to my car--very creepy. I called the store the next day and a different employee told me that the item I wanted was available and that the store was open to the public. So this is how I know that the man in the store lied to me. He either was too lazy to do his job or else he was discriminating against me. As long as this type of poor customer service goes on here, I will not be going back.

I recently purchased a 3-volume Arabic language series from Amazon but when I received them, I saw that they were shipped from Jarir Bookstore. The same day, I drove an hour to get there and I was pleasantly surprised to see the vast collection of books they had in Arabic and English. Qurans, books on Hadiths, a large childrens section, flags of the Middle East, Arabic language books, Islam, and so much more. I only had an hour and a half to quickly see some of the books they had but I ended up buying 3 more books. I definitely plan to return to buy more books there. The people there are very friendly and helpful.

They have a HUGE selection of so many different type of books. Its so nice to know that these are all available so close to home and it was awesome to meet the owner and his family, they were so kind and very helpful!

I was looking around the store and the person working there told me that I had to leave because they were closing for lunch. I could not believe this...how can a business actually shut down for an entire lunch hour? I am a customer, and I should be allowed to look around here as much as I would like. No other successful store closes down during lunch. This is not a good way to run a business and it shows that they dont care about customer needs. I will not be coming back.

This place is heaven in OC! You can find Arabic books with all kinds of fields. Ive found books in here that i didnt find in the Middle East sometimes.

They have many and varied options from books in a wide variety of categories, starting with books of philosophy and literature and ending with childrens stories. It lacks a better arrangement for the ease of finding books, as it is difficult to search for a specific book without using the library owner.
