I used to love coming here, but it has really gone downhill the last several years. They NEVER have enough people working in there (prior to Covid too) and the few people that actually knew about cars have slowly been replaced. Don’t get me wrong, they are nice folks, but it’s obvious the place is lacking expertise.

I like going in this store. I have been redoing my interior on my car. It has been a lot of trial and error, but an experience for sure. AutoZone employees have been super friendly answering my questions and processing my returns when I bought something I didnt need or didnt work. I would definitely recommend them for auto projects.

I had to get my battery checked and come to find out I did need a new battery. The gentleman working was happy to check it for me and uninstalled my old and and installed my new one and was in and out pretty quickly. Was a great experience and will go back to this store for more purchases in the future.

Went smooth bought coils for my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500.Glad they have a lifetime warranty on them.Pleasant experience all around everyone was nice.The spark plugs in the picture did not come from AutoZone...

Where other auto parts stores just wanted to order the part, the employee at Autozone actually took the time to call other auto zone stores and verify which had the part and got them to hold it until I got there to buy the part

Helpful and knowledgeable guy. I needed A lawn mower battery, and belt. Dont forget to bring in old battery, $10 core charge, and my battery was $65 plus tax. I couldnt get the belt without the old one. Ugh. The battery was pricey and Lowes had one for $35. Plus tax. Found out after. Lol oh well..

Went in to get some fasteners and the ones that I had been looking for were there. Took all of 1 min to get. Staff was great, friendly and helpful.

The young man that installed my battery was more than willing to help. Did a great job. Very polite, and professional.

Today 7/9/2020, I visited Auto Zone in Gardendale. The county wide mandate is still in affect for wearing face mask inside all businesses. Except many businesses are not complying. Auto Zone being one. Ill not mention the names. Even citizens were allowed inside without mask.This is an example of why the virus keeps spreading.

Michael was the most patient with us with a smile on his face. We were so undecided going back and forth but he was unphased. Even came out and put our wiper blades on for us!Autozone is lucky to have him!

Needed a battery for my F 150. Bought Duralast Gold for $170. 850 cold cranking stat. They installed it in a few minutes. On the road again....👍

As I walked into this auto Zone, the employees behind the counter was asking me what I needed,and was looking for! The people at this facility didnt mind me shopping,but wanted me to be able to find what I needed asap and me be on my way! Great store,and a great group of people!

I had to get front and rear brake lines for my car to different days and both times they had what I needed in stock. Great customer service, friendly and fast.

The gentleman cashier was very helpful with the issue with my 98 Explorer.

The people who work here are very helpful. I went looking for vwnt shades. They had to order them but said they had a special and they were discounted. Plus there is a rebate. So when I do the paperwork they will end up being about $14.00 + $6.00 shipping LESS Expensive than the competition across the street.

They have always been a good place for my self. Good folks. They will give a 100% to help.

We stopped nearby for dinner on our way home from vacation. It was 8:53PM when we realized the car battery needed to be replaced. The manager, Mr. Allen, stayed open to make sure we could purchase the battery. He also came to the parking lot we were stranded in, brought tools and helped to replace the battery. This was the best show of customer service I have ever seen! Thank you again!!

Very nice experience, my alternator went bad, they were very helpful, and respectful, loaned me the tools I needed to change it out. I dont know what we wouldve done without them

Like most other chain auto parts stores, dont expect any whirlwinds but they usually have what you need or you can get it the next day. Also dont expect a wealth of auto repair knowledge behind the counter, as with most of the chain stores you will likely not get it.

The lady working there asking me if I was pregnant, I had on baggy, comfort clothes. I told her no, she then asked me was I a diabetic because my stomach looked like something was up. I told her I actually have lupus and was recently in the hospital for it, maybe that was why my stomach was apparently such an issue she needed to make a fuss about. I just needed a diagnostic test!!! I was embarrassed and humiliated. Then they ran my credit card for my new battery, and told me it was declined and I needed to use a different payment. I was confused bc I knew I was no where near my limit, so I used a different card. The next day the purchase showed up on my credit card statement... so they double charged me. It took a week to straighten that out. Needless to say it was a terrible visit!!!

I needed headlight and license plate lights replaced. I was helped promptly and he came out to replace the headlight and tag lights. Such a big help since I didnt have the tool available myself to do the tag lights.

We stopped here to have our battery checked on our way to the beach. (We were two hours into our trip from Tennessee to Florida) Allen Pitts ran a diagnostics check on our car and found we had a bad battery as well as few dead fuses. He got us all fixed up and back on the road in under 45 minutes. Autozone was a great place for our three kids to stretch their legs on our trip, and we fell lucky to have stumbled on such a friendly establishment!

Needed a place to get my car battery replaced before I made my 4 hour drive back to Pensacola. They were quick enough to find the right battery and replace it in under 20 mins right outside their store! These guys are a life saver.

I had a wheel bearings go out on a trip to the lake, I got off the road and Google placed myself at Auto Zone. The store manager (Barry Hogeland) greeted me and assisted my every need. Consider, I was 2 hours from home and had no tools to repair the hub, Barry assisted me by loaning his personal jack from his car and with the Loan a Tool program and Auto Zone I was able to take the hub off and replace it with a new Hub and bearing assembly. (In case you didnt know they sell the entire hub bearings greased and ready to go) Barry went way out of his way to assist me and words could never express the gratitude for all that he did. Thank You Barry Hogeland and AutoZone for incredible service

AutoZone has everything you need to fix your car, plus more, great staff to help you with everything, and its on the corner of Fieldstown Rd and the corner of Main St. In Gardendale.

Locked my keys iny truck in parking lot so I went in trying to find a wedge kit, every employee said they didnt have those and one of them looked a total of 15 seconds for one. Of course I kept looking and wow, I found a wedge kit!! After I got my truck unlocked, with no assistance or invitation of any of went inside to buy a couple of things. When I was rang up I looked at the prices and two things were higher than listed so I asked her to take those off. She said she wasnt able to take items off!! I said well u can refund it after the purchase, she got rude and red-faced then, same as her hair. She said is that all you want? Stalked off like a storm of hatred I saw her demeanor, I said thats all unless I change my mind, she replied, you wont be getting any help from me!! I never write reviews but I just imagined if it had been my mom there, unacceptable auto zone!
