Not really much a review to write since this store will be closing on October 1st, 2017 along with most of the other Kmart and Sears stores. I cant help but wonder if they would not have done a little better business, if they would have actually opened up some check out lanes when they were doing good business. Anyway, if you have time, now is the time to go to this store, as almost everything in there is 10-25% off. They are trying to sell off their inventory instead of moving it all around. Just be prepared to wait a while in the check out line.

I thought this location was much better than the seven hills store - that store has been horrible for 25 years that I remember.....the Garfield store was great to me. Sometimes it took a few minutes to check out but they were friendly and I typically could find what I needed. Its sad that they chose this location to close. It will be missed by many who live within walking distance (shoppers and employees) and by those of us who prefer it to the Seven Hills location we are going to be stuck with starting sometime in October.

Maybe its because Ive been using the former Mentor Kmart which is now closed but this location never has what youre looking for including items advertised. Its very small and there has not been more then 2 registers open at any given time that Ive been no matter how busy it is. The electronics department is more like a clearance section. I used to love Kmart because of the year round layaway and also the lease to own program, so I put up with the higher prices. NO LONGER WILL I, ILL SHOP AT THE COMPETITION

Nostalgic for me! Mom died this past February. She and dad shopped for us kids in the 70s. I like this store for the good selection of shoes and clothing. The writing was on the wall for the closing. Even at Christmas the store was half empty. Sad to see it go!! Dish towels and linens so much better made than Walmart.....

This store had great deals for shoes, clothing, electronics, and holiday deals. I wish they never closed down the one in Lorain permanently. I had some good memories buying mp3s and games over there as growing up.

Some of the worker there are very nasty and very in experienced they cheat You out your money lose your layaway say this is not what the shop your way member way that you read online far as purchasing merchandise you have to keep putting items back due to the price it says but the price is different when you get to the check out I go there because its closer to my home or I will never go there cause they will disrespecting you say your stealing and just yesterday my niece was there with me and she was on her way out to smoke her cigarette and they said she had stuck things in her purse the day shift is older adults and they have respect and know how to treat people that second shift hell no need to be out the door yes it that back and Ill say it to there faces cause its true and this every time I go in this store one them will almost make you hit them so you just ignore them cause I been going to Kmart since I was a little girl and at their ages they wasnt even thought of have a nice day and dont put any more reviews on my phone about Kmart

Horrible, placed a lay away and while I was standing in line a man assault​ed his adult daughter... Place is crazy, I recommend going when they open and get out ASAP, although good luck finding a cashier 😒

My overall experience here is usually pleasant but it never fails to amaze me at the wait time to be helped at the jewelry counter. This time 20 minutes too long just for a simple question.Not happy

I liked Kmart in Garfield Heights, Ohio until they closed.

Still holding on after all these​ years! Just a familiar place to get many things on sale.

On 4/8/2015 at 6pm the Service counter cashier yelled at me for bringing checkout items to her register....She said I should go stand in line with the other customers even though she wasnt helping anybody! I shouldnt have had to even make an excuse for a purchase, but I told her I also wanted to buy a $2 progressive lottery ticket which they only sell at the service desk...Unbelievable the attitude a service associate would have...she should be terminated immediately! Also I see her buying scratch-offs from the instant machine alot...Do employees get paid to gamble on company time there?

While I was pleased with the majority of the selection, I can tell that The Savings Place may not be long for this world.

Was a good Store but it closed down

Im not a fan of this store. Hardly ever any registers open, be ready for a long wait. Shoddy merchandise, you get 24 receipts when you buy 1 pack of gum. Unfortunately its the only place on garfield heights that even remotely resembles a department store, so it feels like Im forced to shop there. Thank god for amazon.

Let me start out by saying, I was having a good time and a nostalgia trip (since Kmart was basically where I got everything as a child) until one of your employees had me seven levels of fd up when she had to open her stupid mouth.Loudly, to the other employee she was slacking off talking to the whole time wed been there, she said Dont let her steal that cart! whilst I was walking to the door with my boyfriend and our groceries. Dont... Let me steal.. The cart? When theres a cart station outside? In the parking lot. Sweetheart, youre acting brand new to the layout, even though you work here. I knew this, even though it is my first time at this Kmart!My boyfriend is recovering from his broken knuckle, and opted to carry the groceries. Smart, since he needed to exercise lifting and moving with it. But I intended to keep the cart in case he absolutely needed to let go and was in pain. So, whoever this c*nt was should not have opened her mouth. I wasnt trying to get a b*tch fired, so I kept my peace and put the cart away by the door. My petty side had me wanting to turn to the b*tch and say something, but I didnt. Shes lucky, because I could have had her mean a$$ fired today.Word of advice, if shes ever smart enough to get in touch with technology and read this: when youre hired under a business that has 150 locations closing all across the US this year alone, you cannot afford to be a smart mouth and be rude to customers. Youre with a failing business honey. Wise up and kiss up, instead of being rude.ANYWAYS the store layout was more confusing than other Kmarts Ive been to, and the lady at the register was being chatty with the people in front of us, asking if theyre rewards members, and paying attention to detail. We are rewards members and she did not even ask. Didnt even look at us through the whole transaction. I was confused if wed just spent 30 dollars and not gotten any points because she did not ask us our info. Careless.This Kmart has lost us as a customer, believe that. Mainly because next time this b*tch decides to open her f***ing mouth, Im not gonna be a child of God and keep my peace. Shed be hearing about it. So would the manager.

I was browsing online for a childrens table. I seen that the particular table I was looking to purchase was on Kmart app and it said it was in stock. I visited the store and asked multiple employees did they have the table and everyone told me they didnt know. So I went to customer service and the lady called the employee who worked in that department and asked was it in stock and the employee said that the app might be wrong and if I wanted the table I could order it and have it shipped to the store and if i chose to order and have it delivered that I need to call ahead of time to see if it came.

Love shopping here, they might not have everything im looking for but they have wonderful prices. Most definitely recommend you shop here!

Came here for Thursday 8pm black Friday sale almost 4 hours prior to opening time was #12 in line. Observed an employee come out to talk to someone about 15 people after me who after giving the person a pier of paper said you didnt get that from me to which a friend in line with the person said 50 tv for how much?...228 thats a good deal. A few employers were observed interacting with people in the line...I was so disgusted I left two hours prior to opening.

First of all the website said they open at 8am. They let about 6 people in, then when I got the door they said they dont open until 9am. The lady was rude when I asked her how others got in. The cashiers are slow...most of the time there is only one line open for the whole store. I thought about calling the corporate office...but what for....they will be shutting this kmart down soon. Ill just sit back and watch it happen.

I asked an employee today what is the last day and she said October and kept walking with her rude ass. I wanted to tell her October has 31 days in it pick one itch!!!

Clean and organized store but checking out here can be annoying. Only two registers open usually and you end up waiting for quite awhile.

Worst store ever. Nothing is open any garfield so unless you want to drive 20 minutes somewhere you are forced to run here. Store is always a mess and disgusting and the employees are the rudest.
