Honestly one of the best record stores Ive been to! The selection is absolutely amazing and the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful! He even showed me new music based on what I said I liked. He also let me listen to the records that I was interested in before I purchased them. My only regret is that I hadnt discovered this place sooner!
The owner was very friendly, and seemed to know what he is talking about. I bought two records, one was 15$ and played perfectly, not a single scratch, the other played well at the shop, but some songs skipped. Good selection of dance music. The prices seemed good, and the quality also seemed really good. Would recommend
Home Records has a superb selection of records and a great atmosphere. The owner is very friendly and is willing to help you find what your looking for. He will even play the records that have your curiosity, which makes this place one of a kind. Not many record shops are like this and I will definitely be back!
Been shopping here for the past year. The shop is full of hidden gems if you look hard enough. From old school hip hop, house and Latin. And if youre a massive House music lover this place is paradise. And if I cant ever make it to the shop in Im always on their Instagram seeing whats the record of the day for sale.
Home Records is a gem. Great selection of records and awesome atmosphere. I went in to pick up my records and the owner Geo was very friendly and after knowing what I liked, was throwing some albums on the deck to show me other music he thought i might like. Already making my second trip back! The instagram for the store Home_Records is also where you really can get a good vibe.
This store is an excellent example of what NOT to do if youre trying to run a successful record shop, which is precisely why its going under. Unprofessional management, sub par product along with dishonest business tactics is the end result of this folks! Take notes & take your business elsewhere, good riddance!
Top notch! Home has Salsa, hip hop, deep house, 90’s house, techno, and other styles. Only vinyls store in NJ supporting local vinyl labels.Gianny is an amazing curator and will gladly point you in the right direction.
Super nice owner with great customer service! He asked what kind of music I liked and actually played some records he thought I would enjoy. Store is very clean and organized. Small selection but Im sure it will grow.
Very cool nice owner who treated me like a friend. Definitely like this place and the selection of albums. Its hard to find good record stores in NJ but this is one of them.
Great record shop. Different collection than the rest of the record shops in NJ. Had a lot of fun talking music with J.Dont miss this store if you are in the area.
Wonderful shop with a friendly and knowledgeable owner! Great selection of house music in there!
Great shop located in NJ. G has a real wicked selection of DJ records and loves to talk about music.
As a former manager of a record store in the same general neighborhood, I expected a good record store to open at some point, with the resurgence in vinyl and all. So I went to Home Records not knowing what to expect but looking forward to the experience. Turned out to exceed me expectation and then some, particularly impressive since the store hasnt been open longer than two months! As a collector of dance and electronic music, I was blown away at Giannys selection and curation. I went expecting not to find much in the way of those genres and instead left with a handful of great, great, hard to find records.Besides that, the place is clean, professional, organized and clearly treated with love. Listening station available for you to use as you wish and even a DJ booth where Gianny can spin a record for you to listen to in the store - who I might add is a very friendly, nice guy. Not the cheapest prices in the land, but fair. Home Records is a great, positive addition to the neighborhood and I will most certainly be visiting with some frequency!
Good records and nice guys.
Not recommended, avoid!
