Of course I had just made my final car payment and then it happened. The radiator wouldnt hold coolant. It leaked all over the driveway. I had it towed to Carfix, at the suggestion of a friend, and Xander called me in the morning to give me the gruesome details that I needed a new radiator and the all supplies that go with it. He let me know that I might need a thermostat too, but he would let me know. He could have said you absolutely need one and I would not have been the wiser. Instead, he called me step by step and explained what was happening and what I needed to get my car back on the road. He was helpful and understanding. David, the mechanic, did a fantastic job too. I am thankful for Carfix.

My wife, Carol, has been using Carfix for a few years now and has been really happy with their service. I just used them for the first time today. I have to say they are some of the nicest people to work with Ive ever met. I watched them interact with other customers and they got the same treatment I did. Everyone I met was upbeat, honest and a true joy to speak with. Their service was fair in price and they didnt try and sell me anything I really didnt need.

Weve used Carfix for 8 years since we moved to NC for a number of vehicles... and theyve mostly been honest and reasonable until recently... My wifes car had an issue with her coolant reservoir cracking, which caused the coolant to boil and her engine to overheat. They wanted to charge us over $600 to replace a part I could get for $52 at the local auto store and literally was only held in place by 2 easily accessible bolts. It cost me all of $70 for the new part and a gallon of coolant to replace it and took under 30 minutes to replace it, refill and burp the system. She test drove it for 45 minutes a bit later and proved that it was fixed... Im not sure if something has changed or if this was a one-off, but Im hesitant to go back to them right now.Trying to be fair... the part and fluid costs they quoted were on par with what I could get them for... They also wanted to do a pressure test to make sure there were no other issues... but my math does not add up... $52 for a new reservoir + $34 for 2 gallons of coolant (it only took about 2 quarts - enough to refill the reservoir plus a bit)... $90 for the pressure test... and at $150/hr x .5 ... thats still only $251.... they dropped the cost to $480 and I had to say No, tow it back to my house and Ill fix it.

Listen y’all. I’ve been using discount tire for years until about a Week ago when they raised my car on the ground effects and not the frame. Just a horrible experience. Called Jake at carfix this morning on a Friday and within 1 hour they had my car on tip top shape! Found three lug nuts loose and a broken wheel hub. Prices very affordable compared to discount. What an astounding customer service this place has. Can’t be beat. I WILL BE RECOMMENDING CARFIX TO THE WORLD! Lol I’ll be back they have made a customer for life out of me. Our daughter, who is a teacher, noticed on Friday after arriving at school that her rear tire pressure was very low. My husband called Carfix to have them check it and even though they were booked solid for the day, they said to bring it in and they would be sure to have someone look at it. Sure enough, there was a nail in the side wall and she needed a new tire. They worked well beyond closing hours to be sure she had the new tire placed. This is one of the reasons why we have used Carfix since moving to NC 16 years ago and why we are very happy to recommend them to anyone looking for reliable car repair services.

This place is amazing. I have served my Dodge Challenger with different companies in different states. And I did not expect anything outstanding when I decided to go to this service station for an oil change. But I realized that Carfix - Auto Repair Garner is an excellent service station. This is a completely different level from all the previous service companies that I have worked with. The processes are just wonderfully organized there. I got my car inspection results with pictures and detailed explanations for me to see and analyze before deciding what I want to do. I was told what to do with my car and what I don’t need. Recently while driving home one evening, I had an unpleasant experience where my serpentine belt peeled a thread of itself completely off, and I knew it needed to be taken care of ASAP. I put in a request online the evening of the incident, and was able to drive my car to their lot the next day on my way to work. I consulted with the gentlemen up front, showing them the engine and the piece of the belt that came off and they gave me a quoted price, and afterwards they shuttled me to work. I anticipated that it would take at least a couple of days to get my car back, but they were able to not only look into it the same day, they replaced the belt and took care of a couple minor services too, with the keys back in my hand that same evening. It also turns out that since I had the vehicle serviced at this location earlier in the year, the serpentine belt was actually covered under warranty, having been serviced at that earlier time, and I ended up saving quite a bit because of it. Despite the less than ideal conditions before my service, it was an all-around great experience for my recent visit!

My husband and I brought our Ford new in 2015. The only thing that we did was get the oil changed when needed. Well, after putting off getting the needed repairs, we finally decided to get things done. I found a coupon for Carfix, did some research and decided to go with them because their reviews were great. I called and spoke with Zander at the Garner location. He was wonderful from the beginning! I explained what we needed, tires, brakes, oil change, and an alignment, and the fact that we have not really done any real maintenance (other than an oil change) to the car since we purchased it 2015. We set up a time to bring the car in. I dropped the car off to go about my day. Zander called to inform me what we needed and continue to keep me informed of the process. He took his time to explain everything to me clearly. I really like that. He was not pushy nor condescending. I can really appreciate that in anyone. Zander, greeted the following morning because I was unable to pick my car up the SAME DAY it was ready. The Ford rides just like it did when we purchased it back in 2015. They are wonderful! I had taken my camaro to another shop to have struts and an oil change done. The shop didnt do the oil change and charged me for it and due to faulty workmanship, the new struts that were installed, were destroyed in 3 weeks. This shop was given 2 chances to repair what was wrong.I knew something wasnt right with my car. I called Zander and explained what was happening. My front end was clunking terribly, my steering wheel was shaking horribly, my car was all over the road. I had to add 2 quarts of oil to the engine. I brought the car to Zander, the technician inspected my car and did a road test. It turns out the brand new struts that were installed have to be replaced. The technician performed an oil change, installed new struts, repaired the front sway bar, installed new tires and did a tuneup on my car. My car is a dream to drive again!! Im so THANKFUL for everyone at Carfix!!

Friendly service. Had to leave my car and was provided transportation back home and they also picked me up. Both drivers were friendly. Carfix did a state inspection on my car. I am glad I took my car to them, and will do so again. I feel they were honest and did a thorough inspection. They suggested maintenance possibly needed for the mileage on my car. They also discovered a recall repair done incorrectly by another mechanic, that I was able address with that other service department.

Our car was leaking engine coolant and we couldnt figure out where the leak originated. Car Fix performed a test, diagnosed the issue, and fixed our problem. They did excellent work at a reasonable price. They are good with communicating any additional problems that arise before fixing them and are extremely courteous and professional.

The auto shop we had been using just closed recently, so our visit to Carfix was this week for state inspections of our two vehicles was our first. Ill have to admit that my initial impression was not entirely positive. When I was greeted by a service advisor wearing a white shirt and tie, my initial thoughts were that this was going to be an over-priced shop more accustomed to servicing luxury cars rather than working on our older, no-frills Nissans. Although our first visit was rather limited in scope, I was very pleased with the service and the discussions we had regarding future recommended maintenance. The folks we worked with were all friendly and very professional. They didnt try to push any unecessary work on our cars and we do plan to return for Carfix for future car maintenance needs.

This business is amazing. Granted you will pay more for repairs at any shop because of labor, but, these guys do it to the T and get the job done.I had an intake manifold valve go out along with my spark plugs needing to be replaced and they got it repaired in no time. They even found general maintenance items and issues I didnt even know about.They were extremely nice during the entire process and even when I had another performance issue, they didnt charge me more money for another diagnostic and were up to the task of repairing the problem!I would highly recommend this business.

I have been a customer for 3 years and have had a wonderful experience every time. The staff are professional and accommodating. I had an issue with my last repair. A belt needed to be replaced but the belt slipped the next day. There was another issue with a part attached to the belt that caused the slipping. The associates at Carfix went the extra mile to rectify the issue. They towed my truck to the shop and arranged a loaner vehicle for me while the additional repairs were being made. I went in for an oil, change (which is free for RNs and doctors.) pretty decent thing to do.Theyre always booked solid so call for a reservation or do it online.When they called me for an update ( I know, right?!) they told me my left front blinker light was out. They replaced the bulb for a nominal fee.And, oh btw, if they are slammed they will give you a loaner car for no cost. I can see why theyre so busy.I asked how much a wheel alignment would be, due to the fact I took it initially to Precision Tune in Garner; they botched it TWICE.There is a nice waiting area and kids playroom if you have to wait.And kudos to Anthony and manager, Jimmy. I took my 2010 Ford Mustang to them for regular maintenance but also an issue with my car starting and a weird whining sound when I turned. They checked it over and realized that a part they replaced was malfunctioning so they replaced it (free of charge of course) and made sure it was working before they called me to pick it up. They stated the car started with no problem the whole time they had it (isn’t It funny how things like that work?) well when they went to pull my car around, it wouldn’t start, so instead of just jumping it like some places will do and let you drive off because they don’t want to deal with it or look bad, they were determined to figure it out, it’s still in the shop, but I’m happy they give free loaners, so I’m still rolling and have air conditioning. I love this place!

Our vehicle had a fluid leak so I called Carfix to see when I could bring it in to have it looked at. I took it in and they found the leak and some other issues that might need some care. They told me when they might be able to have it to me, and I informed them I needed it pretty soon due to some travel we had to do for a family health emergency. Zander was incredible and was able to push it up some so that I could get myself and my wife on the road to her family. Zander kept me up to date the whole time as to what could be done in a quick timeframe, and what we might need to look out for in the future with maitenence. I would highly recommend Zander and his team at Carfix. If you are like me, and dont like taking your car to a mechanic, I would not hesitate to deal with them. The entire staff was amazing.

I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation, during their time with my vehicle they notice my breaks were HORRIBLE, and my tires were bald. They gave me a quote, and offered to schedule the work and let me borrow their loaner car. They understood when I told them I needed to call around and look at finances. When I did call them back a couple weeks later (no one beat their prices!), they got my car in the same day and was done with it the next. Jonathan even let us pay through a texting app so we could pick up my vehicle after hours. Very convenient. Im planning on taking my other vehicle over for work next. Deff recommend calling Jonathan and getting your car in. Very affordable, friendly, and professional!!!!

My first experience at Carfix was very good. Jimmy explained everything and shared pictures showing the issues. They were able to address my immediate need and showed me what services to plan for. They were even able to use a credit card I got from another car shop which gives me 0% financing for 6 mo on the work they did for me.

I went in to check my air pressure system for $20. They took a look at it an hour later and said the right rear sensor is bad and needs to be replaced. I was quoted at about $180 to fix it. Pretty expensive to change one air sensor. Afterwards, I went to another car mechanic and they said that the air pressure in the tire wasnt calibrated properly. They filled the tire to the right amount for free and the warning light on my dashboard went away.This business overcharges you for the scenery and gives a wrong diagnosis.

First time at Carfix today to get an oil change and an NC inspection for my car. Oil change was no problem. When it came to the inspection I needed a new bulb for my license plate in order for it to pass. They originally stated the bulb would cost $16 so I said sounds good, and gave the go ahead. They came back and told me that unfortunately the part is going to cost ~$70 to replace the led. More specifically the led assembly. I paid and left.Right after I left I quickly went up on YouTube to figure out how to change the bulb, went to a local auto store for the bulb ($7) and they were able to assist me very quickly to fix it. It wasn’t the whole part that needed to be replaced, just the bulb. Knocking off 2 stars for that part that easily could have been resolved if they knew what to do. I had 3 different mechanics tell me that getting the bulb out can be difficult, but it can be done if in the right hands.

Called the shop around lunchtime because my car wouldnt start. Did get it running and drove it to the shop immediately after talking with Mike. They diagnosed the problem pretty quickly and gave me my options. There were other customers before me and I was heading on vacation the next day. Mike discussed with Tyson to see if he could get the job complete for me that day and was genuinely concerned about me driving it. Without asking Mike called a customer that was before me to see if he would mind picking up his car then next and he agreed. Got my car back that afternoon. Awesome customer service!!! Highly recommend.

The best service I have ever had at a mechanic shop.

It was the end of September and still very hot weather and of course my AC in my family car went out. Needing to get it fixed ASAP I google searched Car Fix which is close to my house and decided to give them a call. I spoke with Jimmy and from the beginning to the end he was very professional and always explained everything to the T. They were able to give us a loaner car while work was being done and besides fixing the AC they saw some other maintenance that need to be done so Jimmy once again explained everything and even gave me exact pricing on each task that needed to be done. As far as my experience I can’t say a bad thing about them.

Weve taken our vehicles to Carfix almost as long as theyve been opened. Weve had a great experience with the staff. They are honest, hard working, and repairs are done in a timely manner. They always call with a quote prior to starting any repairs and stick by that price. They offer the best warranty around on parts and labor as well. I have referred several people to them and they have all been very glad I did.

All the Carfix people are such a joy to work with. Good group of personalities. I have never been disappointed with the service received. And that is why I keep going back!

Great store and great staff

Carfix diagnosed my brakes on my F150 which revealed a different shop installed them wrong. As a result I was riding metal to metal. They provided me with a detailed report with photos that ultimately resulted in me being able to have the original shop fix my vehicle for free. Courtney Wall was amazing and I will surely take all of my auto care business to Carfix.

It was my first time at Carfix. They were very polite and professional and took my car in right away. They were a little expensive but they offer decent coupons which helped a lot. I would definitely recommend their services.

Carfix is awesome! Theyve been taking care of all our vehicles for more than 15 years and weve never ever had a problem. They have a great team and they wont take advantage of those who are less knowledgeable about auto maintenance - theyll show you pictures and walk you through everything so you can make the best decision for you. Very highly recommended!

These guys have always treated me well and have taken care of multiple vehicles from my fiancee and I. Theyre always looking out for not only the well being of the car, but the owner as well. Jimmy and Miguel constantly work together to stay in contact with you while your car is in their shop. Carfix also has a pretty quick turnaround and the loaners just adds to the convenience of dropping off your vehicle while they service it. Hell, even Tyson in the shop is easy and great to talk to about vehicles and their shop bays reflect the pride those guys have in their work. Just a solid bunch of folks at Carfix that certainly have my business -- and thats coming from a Service Manager at a large dealership.Thanks as always, yall!

Great staff and great customer service. They were able to fix our car within hours of diagnosing the problem which was really amazing because e had a long road trip planned that night. They go out of their way to make sure their customers are happy!

I have bought all of my tires here as well as had other work done on my van... Friendly service and wonderful place to go if you have children. I was completely shocked to find anytime you need work done on your vehicle they will actually give you a car to drive for the day... Not only that but they actually have a minivan for those with children... To top it all off that do not even charge you for the service, they only ask that you fill the gas tank up to where it was when you picked it up. Ill also add that I appreciate their support of the second amendment on the door 😉😉😉 #merica

The facility was clean and specious and supported by free wireless internet service, which allowed me to continue work.I also received discount end up saving $30. Price was very reasonable for a synthetic oil change and tire rotation. Employees were knowledgeable and friendly. And the waiting area was clean with books to read, water and snacks. Would definitely recommend Carfix to my friends and family.
