The owner was rude to one of my co-workers

I have used A & G for years. They have always been very professional and responsive. When I look at new businesses, like everyone else I always look at cost. The cost of Marks parts is less than anyone else. He delivers on time, and I just dont have quality issues.Our business is time sensitive and we juggle many things. We dont have time to worry about part delivery or quality and thats why we use A&G Machining.Finally, A & G is over 800 miles away, but we use him because he treats us, and it feels like he is right next door.

I am really pleased with this shop, through and through. After requesting quotes from many in the area, this shop was the only one with a lead time under a month, and my parts were ready in 2.5 weeks to the day.Just picked up my parts, and the shop seemed to me to be a really slick operation. Not only is it the cleanest machine shop I have seen in a long time, but the owner and the machinist who produced my parts both seem extremely dedicated to their craft.We plan to continue to use this shop to produce both revisions to our current pieces, and an additional project slated for later this year.

I called with a random request - I simply needed an aluminum R/C spinner backplate hole bored out. Sure, I couldve used a step-drill bit and drill-press at home, but if it wasnt perfectly centered it would trash a $100 spinner. The owner gladly offered to help me out for a very reasonable charge. Thanks A&G!

Absolutely Terrible!Person I spoke to was initially rude over the phone but took it to a whole other level in person. When I came into his office, I made the mistake of calling a vice grip a wrench. He proceeded to smugly correct me in the most condescending manner possible. After that, he rudely told me to sit down because I was invading his personal space when trying to show him the item I wanted made. But thats not the end of it, oh no... While he was trying to estimate the cost of making the part, I was looking at pricing myself over my phone. When he finished, he told me to stop playing with my phone and put it down. He then had the audacity to tell me that I was being rude! The situation worsened when he told me the estimated price of the part. It was ridiculously expensive, in fact, it was 5 times more expensive than what I had paid for it. I tried to resolve the issue by telling him I could sketch the item so that he would not have to waste time doing so, to which he responded why didnt you bring the sketches with you now in an extremely annoyed voice. By that time I was more then fed up with him and decided to leave, but he would not let me until I answered his questions. I told him I did not have to answer his questions and left.If you want to be treated like an incompetent child, have more money than sense, and like fat obnoxious men, this is the place to go.

A&G provides great quality work at a very reasonable price. They do a great job producing small, machined aluminum parts for us!
