This visit I was very disappointed. I had used batteries plus before and was pleased. I took a phone in to get a battery replaced and was told when I picked my phone up some screws from a previous battery change was missing. It was my understanding they replaced the screws and he stated he even put tape to make it more secure this time not that tape was all he put. This was a Friday, by Sunday my phone would not even turn on. I took it back Monday and they stated its not your battery its your phone no we are sorry or we are willing to give you a discount, nothing! I was so upset but I decided to get a second opinion. I took it to another phone repair store down the road that afternoon and they were amazed that they only taped the battery down. He replaced the screws turn the phone on and the phone worked and is still working. I did call back to say how disappointed I was that no one even told me they only taped the battery back.

Turned my sons iphone into a paperweight.I went in for a simple screen repair which I was really pleased about. Good price on that. But while I was there they offered me a battery replacement as well, I figured since the phone was about a year old and they had it open why not.That is where the trouble began. After getting the phone back it worked for about a day before we started receiving messages about the battery wasnt supported. I took the phone back to them and they offered to change the battery. Once receiving the phone back it couldnt get the phone to boot up past the apple logo. After days of going back and fourth I decided to take the phone to the apple store, which I should have done from the beginning and they ran a few test to discover a hardware error due most likely to static charge and ruined the phone.Now Im stuck with a iPhone XR that is merely a paperweight and now forced to buy a new phone.I really am disappointed in how all this has been handled and would not recommend this place for anything more than General battery needs. Stay far away from their phone repair.Response to owner: The screen was cracked pretty badly so I had to sign the non functional agreement but the phone worked. It also worked when we received the phone back the 1st time. The issue booting up was after I brought it back in the 2nd time to troubleshoot the non charging issue. That is when the device was turned into stone.

Two guys working in the store the most rude non-carrying humans Ive ever met. Yes yes I understand theyre older too and have trouble getting around, but I am disabled and it was like I was putting them out to load my batteries for my golf cart in my truck. I will most definitely go to a different batteries plus bulbs store in the future!!! And let all my friends know about it as well!!!

The person that I interfaced with was helpful and very pleasant. In addition, he told me that I didnt need a new battery. When people dont sell you things that you dont need, they earn a lot of trust.

Update: I was contacted after my review and they made the situation right and fixed my phone as needed today Feb 15. It was explained that it slipped through the cracks originally and I understand, things happen. Thanks for doing the right thing!Brought my Pixel 3 XL in for battery replacement and got it back missing the camera lens cover and fingerprint sensor no longer working which I showed them when I picked up. Was told parts would be ordered and Id get a call that Im still waiting on for more than a month now. I will update my review if this is remedied.

Walk-in only one person working one person waiting for something to be. Was told it would be 10 minutes. after 20 I asked if he could fill out a ticket and contact me later and let me know how much it would be to fix my phone. I informed him I had business appointments to get to. he said he would have to get done with what he was doing which it already taken twice as long as what he originally said. So apparently that 30 seconds of writing my information down was too much time. THIS IS WHY PEOPLE LIKE ME JUST GO TO CHARLOTTE TO GET THINGS DONE. ACTUAL BUSINESSES WITH ACTUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE.Update sort of. I like also how they respond to the review but you cant comment on it. Well heres my response.Why would I waste anymore time in you. You are aware what the issue is handle it with your employees and policies not me!

I took my phone in for a battery change as it had started to swell and while I expected at least a day if not two for turnaround because they were swamped but I got a call about 2 hours later that it was done.Absolutely perfect experience and I had no idea they had so many light options in there and ended up getting a deal on some cool flame flickering bulbs.Thanks guys!

I went in for an iphone repair, they guys charged a reasonable price but once it was confirmed my phone wasnt able to be repaired they called me and provided a reasonable resolution. I stopped in to see if they could do anything with a blank key/fob I got it off of eBay for my Ford. They cut the key part and it didnt work which fine so I asked them what I owed them, the guy said no charge. I really appreciated that. I would definitely go back.

I called today for a charger for my electric wheelchair I didnt know much about what I needed Harold told me to bring my old charger he would match it up. Great service!!!!! I thought I needed a charger port for my iPhone 8 Plus because I couldn’t plug my cord in to charge it. For two months I’ve been wireless charging my phone. I got a new car and couldn’t use my apple car play because of it. I had an appt for Tommrow at 9 am but we rode past and I thought well I’ll just go ahead and drop it off. The guy I didn’t get his name but he went to see if they had the part. Long story short they looked and found out I had some stuff stuck in the port some rice. And they cleaned it out and my phone works perfectly now! They didn’t charge me a dime! Even after I offered they were so sweet and so kind!! I would give them a million stars if I could great service and great respect! Hands down best customer service experience I have had in a while!! Would recommend to anyone looking to fix their phone! Reading the reviews looks like love or hate with this company. My experience today was as good as could be expected. The salesman I did business with, Daniel, seemed knowledgeable and treated me with the same respect I gave him. We traveled to Gastonia today to pick up a battery for a riding lawnmower. The order was ready to go; wed brought our old battery, so the $10 core charge was credited while we were in the store. We were done and out the door in less than 15 minutes. Excellent experience! Plus we saw a lot of other merchandise while we were there. Well be buying more from Batteries Plus Bulbs again in future.

I bought 2 batteries online for my vehicles. I got an additional 20% off plus free installation on site. Staff was very friendly despite having to modify the battery tie downs because of the weird shape of the Duracell batteries. (My trucks factory tie downs wont fit so I had to buy a new one that they have in store and was given discount for it). Anyway, I highly recommend Batteries+Bulbs for anyone in need of a new car battery. The prices are unbeatable and the service is great. Thank you.

This place was awesome. Didnt know they carried all the different batteries they had n the store. Have every battery that u could think of. Everything from small batteries to car batteries. He even said they have batteries for tractor trailers. They had good deal on motorcycle batteries also. Said was made by the same people that makes Harley ones.

The gentlemen working in this Gastonia store were very helpful from the minute I walked in. He described the different type of lighting so I could make an informed decision.

In reference to the Franklin Blvd., Gastonia NC location. First time customer, online order for in store pick up. Needed to replace a suddenly very dead battery in our computer backup unit, an APCBack-UPS ES-550 Battery Backup & Surge Protector. (NOTE: Be sure to take old battery with you for exchange, to avoid a core charge. This is a standard business practice, not a way for them to make extra money.) Website is clean, straightforward, and ordering process was same. As a bonus, we received a 10% discount for online order/in store pick up, however you will lose a bit of that to (in my case) NC sales tax. In just over 1 hr. I received confirmation email that my order was ready for pickup, and soon after our UPS was back online, protecting our equipment. In store employee very courteous. Excellent experience. Highly recommend !

It was great. From the time I placed my online order to the email saying it was ready to pickup was only about 20 minutes total. I went to the store and they had it ready for me. Great job!

Had what i needed in stock. Helped me load heavy lead acid batteries.

Even though I used the exact numbers on the device to order the batteries, They were too long. Not enough to notice without trying to fit 1 in the device and then the store would only issue a refund for the unopened battery even though we never left their parking lot since we tried them in the car. The person at the store also informed us that there was an explosion issue using the batteries with a vape device as these are not he right type of drain batteries and this is not noted on your web site. I am not happy at all with my experience and cannot recommend your store at this point. I am more disappointed in the web site for offering the incorrect batteries than I am with the store and if not accepting returns is store policy and not corporate policy then I am disappointed with them also.

Five years ago, I had two battery back-ups serviced by a Batteries Plus Bulbs location in Charlotte, so I made the assumption that this location would be able to help me when those battery back-ups needed batteries again.I was disappointed when they called me to let me know that they were not able to do the work. I thought it would be helpful to provide some feedback on the experience, so I called the national customer service number to let them know that I was disappointed with their lack of service.When I returned to this location to pick-up the battery back-ups, I was greeted by a sarcastic employee stating; Thanks for calling the corporate office. Unfortunately the dialog degraded from there.This is a franchised location and while they are probably encouraged to embrace all aspects of the Batteries Plus Bulbs philosophy, it is my opinion that they do not and that the corporate office lacks the authority to change this.I wont do business at this location again and I wont recommend it to anyone I know. If you choose to do business with this location, please take note that your customer experience might be less than stellar and that this location does not discount for veterans (another disappointment).Addition comments added on 4/1:Since I cant reply to the owners response to my original post from two weeks ago, I am editing this review.First of all - thanks to the owner for taking time to reply to my comment. I find it fascinating that you took the time to reply to my post on the Internet, but wouldnt take the time to call me back as I had requested through Batteries Plus Corporate Customer Service.Second - the UPS in question from my original complaint only took me five minutes to disassemble. Battery was ready and waiting for me after doing the online payment. I drove 2 1/2 hours to the store and since this was my first purchase I was worried that all would not go well. Other than the rather clunky way they have to return your core charge (assuming you remembered to bring your core back) all went smoothly.

Purchased a cell battery six months ago, stopped holding a charge. Took it in the store June 4, 2016 with the original box that says lifetime warranty on the front with the receipt, the employee told me they had to perform a test on it that would take 24 hours to see if it was bad, not sure what I was suppose to do about a phone in that time frame., than he holds the battery and tells me it dont feal right, he said it was swelled up, I cant see that and says your not getting your money back, I only wanted it replaced, but I could tell he was not wanting to wait on me, I was nothing but respectful and professional with him, cant say the same about, I have a problem and to just look at it for a few seconds and deny helping me, terrible experience, they want get my business anymore

Not only was my order ready, but the guy at the counter was able to refund me for the battery I was returning, even though I had put the order on a credit card I happened not to have with me. And he provided me batteries for my flashlight since I pulled in to his lot with a flat tire, which I had to change in situ. After he closed the store, he even checked on me to see if I needed any more help with the tire! Thats the kind of going-the-extra-mile customer service that makes a company stand out! Should be SIX stars!

Miserable looking bunch, the manager was extremely rude... Gave nothing but strange looks the entire time. I was in the store around 12pm August 22nd.

I dont normally post reviews but I feel like I should for this case. We went to the Gastonia, NC store to order a keyfob replacement for our broken keyless entry. I was told at the store in Greenville, SC that it could be ordered and then taken care of in the store. When we got back to Gastonia to do that, the man took our order and our phone number. Then attached a coupon to the order. He told us that he would call when it arrived. We waited a week for the call and finally decided to call the store to see what was going on. The man we called said that it was at the store and to just come by to have it replaced. So when we got there, the guy that takes care of programming the keyless entry was very rude to us. He said that he has no idea what we are talking about and that this type of keyfob was not even in the warehouse. We were very confused and upset about how we were treating by that man! We had always taken all of our battery business there. However we will not be back! We wasted a week and that made us mad! However, that mans general attitude towards us convinced that they do not need our business!
