This place is more than a music store. They host a Saturday fun-filled morning guitar pickin session! If you want have some big fun, learn something new, and get some practice in singing, there is no better way than to jump into the ring. These guys are amazing! Very poor customer service and knowledge. Stringed a broken instrument that required me to have to take the strings off. Wouldnt stand behind their work. When i spoke of my dissatisfaction i was told i could go to another music store. I shared with the employer that they had negative reviews and was told they didnt care. All this began over their billing of two different banks for services rendered. I will not do business with this store again. Its too bad.A pitiful response that isnt even correct. As far as the billing issue time will reveal that.ps - i was told i would be better off buying a new banjo instead of fixing mine. The bridge wasnt cracked it was bent and it took me a whole 5 minutes to fix it myself. Banjo is fine now and plays wonderfully.

I love this place

My daughter needed a clarinet for 7th grade. She is now a 9th grader (still in band as a sax player.) Howrens has been family friendly from the very beginning. They offer payment plans for your instrument, and they are an excellent company to do business with. The main location is in Charlotte, and the business department is there too. However, my daughter and I picked up the clarinet at the Gastonia location. They were just as nice there.

Poor customer service, manager is rude and rushes you off the phone even during hours when the store is not busy.
