This was my 1st time visiting the store in several years and I was disappointed in the attitude of the staff compared to previous years of shopping at this location. I asked 1 employee where an item was and she, without looking up, responded with on the left and pointed behind her. Still not able to find what I was shopping for I asked another employee where the item was and she walked past me saying she was busy with someone on the phone. With that I left irritated, passing 2 other employees, one on her one that looked up at me and from down the isle and turned in the other direction and the other sitting behind the register staring off into nothing. Unfortunately I left without making a purchase .

Today I purchased a Singer Patchwork Sewing Machine. Its been 35 years since I sold my beloved Kenmore.Gina Grupe was the incredible individual who took time to listen to my concerns and needs. I had a specific need for a Satin Stitch that would help me get the width I needed.The old portable brother machine I was attempting to use for a baby quilt was not effective at all.Gina allowed me to try several machines to help determine which machine would be a good fit for me.A very different experience than one from 2 weeks ago. I asked a few questions and the woman very quickly directed me to machines for experienced sewing enthusiasts.Very expensive.Gina explained the sale price on the Singer Patchwork $249.99 normally $449.99. A place for your hobbies and decor. Things are always on sale and many products to choose from. Items ranging from small furniture, wall decor, to fabrics and models. My wife recently bought Disney branded fabric and had my mother-in-law make a couple pillows for our daughter. Good material and quality and a great price along with great service. We will continue to shop at Joann Fabrics.

Found what I was looking for at a very reasonable price. Dave at the register was informative, courteous and professional. In and out in a few minutes. Will look here again when I need reupholstering supplies.

The JoAnn Fabrics just opened up after being closed for Phase 3 of Covid in Illinois. At the time, the staff I encountered was pretty new. They were very friendly but not real knowledgeable. Ive been to probably 10 or 15 Joann fabric stores. Typically the employees are fairly friendly but to save money they staff lightly and this results in long lines. I did not find that to be the case at this store.

I called ahead to be sure they had the item I needed. She physically checked for me, and put one item aside, because they only had two left.Upon check-out my cashier was so friendly and helpful, and he checked my coupons for the best discount. Great experience!

Michaels is a better craft store. The guy checking us out had a whole spiel about coupons and how they dont take certain coupons, but they took the one we showed him, so it was just an odd conversation about how lots of people try to use coupons they dont take. It felt like they werent trying too hard to win customers - just operating the store.

Love Joanns! I sew, craft, bake, and knit. They have everything I need and good sales. They also carry lots of holiday decor.

Love shopping here...the sales and special offers are hands down remarkable! The employees are knowledgeable and helpful too! Most of the time I am starting a project I have never done before and couldn’t be more clueless. All I have to do is ask an employee and low and behold I leave feeling confident! They make sure you have everything you need in supplies and off I go with terrific end results! My experiences with employees and the store manager have all been positive and glad they are there to help! I appreciate everything they do!

I rate personnel there 5 stars - very patient, taking time to walk me thru steps needed to sew/repair 2 things. Rated 4 stars because of time standing in line for check out.

Great prices on fabrics and associated tools.

The fabric was cut all kinds of weird so I couldnt get it because I need a certain amount so that was frustrating. Then I found another fabric but there wasnt enough. Then the older lady behind the counter was very short with me and held her finger in my face to hold on mid sentence. Was not very happy bc she was not listening

OMG, I never realized all of the things that you can get and assemble with a creative mind from Jo-Ann fabrics and crafts. In my mind I pictured it being a mothball scented store with racks and racks of material rolls, yarn, knitting needles and crochet hooks. I saw and Im not of elderly women with their knitting bags and hard candies pushing through the aisles with their walkers towards the clearance section. God bless you Grandma, you would be amazed at how far this world has come since you left us. Missing you forever and always

The staff is absolutely no help at all. I requested assistance locating an item and they told me that it was in a box in the back and wouldnt come out until they got around to it this weekend.

They have a variety of crafting equipment here, but most is over priced and the staff are not super helpful.

The sewing machine shop within JoAnn has good prices and great customer service. I thought my machine was broken, and a quick adjustment to my bobbin fixed it! No problem, no charge!

Always love shopping in this store....the staff are super friendly, kind and helpful. Joannes offers crafting supplies for all sorts of different things, not to mention patterns and a VERY WELL STOCKED fabric supply. Ever since most Wal-Marts have been getting rid of their fabric stop, Joannes has been there to help. :D

Love the staff there, always friendly but not over the top, always helpful and give nice advice. Nice place to buy items for sewing, such as buttons, ribbons and zippers, clothing materials, picture frames, sewing machines, knitting wool, art supplies to name a few.

Every time we go here, the employees always seem indifferent and tired. They never seem to have enough to fully staff the registers which leads to long wait times to check out. It appears as if theyre overworked.

I sew ALOT so joanns is a must. We drive from Dekalb, because there is nothing that equals, and Dekalb doesnt have one.

Dont go in there thinking youll run in and out. Even when its not busy, youll be waiting in line for a min of 10-15 min, but probably longer. Its one of those over priced stores that tries to make people think they are getting a deal with their coupons. All the coupon garbage is what usually holds up the lines and they have to be ridiculously long before they call another cashier. I cant tell you how many times I waited in line and, after 20 min, set my stuff down and left knowing I wasnt getting checked out anytime soon. There is only one worker who is happy and it must just be his demeanor. Everyone else seems miserable. Also, if you get fabric, realize thats another line that takes at least 10 min, but normally more.Also, the store is always messy and never put together.

Well after today I probably wont come back to joann I like the selection of yarn cause I do alot crocheting but I had very nasty cashier . I accidentally put wrong pin number and get addtuide cause put card back in . But I didnt appreciate the way talk to me . I had no problem with any other cashiers.

You can find all your craft needs. There is usually a wait to have fabric cut or to check out.

This store is a disaster. Stuff is everywhere. Aisles are not marked correctly. No one around to help. I left without buying anything. I hope that this store can improve its environment.
