This location has many interesting displays and selections, just the customer service was kind of off. When checking out, the clerk asked if I had a membership, I showed my educator’s membership and then the clerk continued to ask if it was really mine and not my parents, and she just wanted to make sure. I’ve never been questioned unnecessarily about a membership being *actually* mine at any other B&N.

They actually have Pokémon product in stock!! They limited my purchase to only 2 items, which is awesome! Hopefully they will keep stuff around more often going forward.

I like barnes and noble to begin with so there’s that. but i saw this in the anime section so that’s… interesting

An actual bookstore is so rare so Im giving it 5 stars. It was nice to actually put my hands on books and thumb through them. Prices werent that bad...some prices were close to Amazon and some werent.

I really like this location. its not as busy as the downtown naperville location. ive seen marina and the diamonds, heartstopper, and a bunch more swaggy stuff :)

This place is fantastic. I love taking my children here to find a new author for them to enjoy, or a tabletop game for the family.

I was very disappointed. Theres signs on both of the doors entering Barnes & Noble that says You must wear a mask- at least 80% of the people in there did not have a mask on of the patrons. The employees did have masks on. I was specifically looking for magnetic bookmarks of which I found only three packages. My last visit there was a whole turnaround of them that you could look at. I took a look at the clearance aisles just because I always go over there even if I find another book in the fiction Department which by the way I did. There were very little if only a half of one aisle that was fiction the rest were horror,cooking and a bunch of other stuff that was pretty much useless to the average person. All in all I was very disappointed

I always love finding Barnes and Nobles in the area because they do such a great job at making you feel so comfortable at their stores.Come and lose yourself in a good book.

Wide variety of books/activities to choose from. Theres a Starbucks inside, so definitely a plus! Restrooms are also very clean!

Excellent bookstore, always friendly staff. They always have the books Im looking for, and my kids enjoy the Childrens section and checking out all the newest Legos. The coffee shop is also nice, its great to have a Latte and check out the newest magazines. Great place to just hang out.

Barnes and Nobel is always fun times and a great place to enjoy several hours. The managers are accomidating and is quite busy this time of year. Must be their customer service.

Good selection of gift items, tho somewhat pricey. Difficult to find books. Sections are labeled but shelves are not, so you have to guess at the filing system. Too few staff, who are busy & seemingly uninterested in helping customers.

There were a few too many people in the front half of the store, too many who dont understand 6 ft social distancing or dont care & a customer w/mask below her nose. Until we are covid free those rules have to be the #1 concern & we cant be lax. People are still dying from covid-19. So many still arent vaccinated, even those who want & need it.Otherwise its a 4 ☆ store.

Love this store. Sat on floor and looked at Tarot cards. Was given strange looks, but Noone bothered me. Staff is pleasant, and there is nothing like a good bookstore!

Im a huge book nerd so I love going into places like this! I had a thirty dollar gift card I got for Christmas and decided to get the most bang for the buck. There were tons of books and stuff for 50 % off or more, I was able to get a large calendar and 5 books for 30 bucks, awesome! This store has a massive selection of books, some are rather expensive but if you shop wisely you can find some great deals!

I love to grab a snack and browse the isles for that special book. Im also grateful they brought back the comfortable chairs to sit and scan the books as I decide which one get. I only have one improvement Id like to see. Install more outlets in the cafe. My charger doesnt last long on my laptop. Thank youa coffee while I work.my

With the advent of Amazon, I feel like I stopped going to bookstores. It was so refreshing to walk into Barnes and Noble. What a beautiful bookstore. I forgot how much I loved going into bookstores and just looking at books and getting ideas on new reads. It was quiet and glorious.

TERRIBLE customer service at the cafe. Bring back Starbucks staff.Stopped in at Barnes & Noble to grab a new book for 2.5 yo son. Decided to grab a coffee on my way to the register. I asked for a standard cappuccino, she put carmel in it. My cup was only 1/2 full. The WORST part was after I got my coffee and paid for my book, the lady at B&N check out gave me a receipt for a free cookie with purchase and asked my son if he wanted a cookie, of course he got ramped, A COOKIE. Took my receipt back to the Cafe (literally 2 minutes after buying a terrible cappuccino from them) to get my son a cookie and they absolutely refused unless I bought another terrible coffee. Why would I want 2 coffees?! Then they watched as I consoled my son for not getting his cookie! AWFUL customer service. Took my son for a cookie, just not at this cafe.

As soon as I entered, I was greeted by Chris and asked if I needed help! This was so helpful, I was on a mission for 2 books. He right away looked them up, and we went to the middle school area. I mentioned if it might be in ‘paperback,’ he checked on the front tables back and forth. He then went to the back and found what I needed! He also found the new release by Bill Geist, “Lake of the Ozarks!”I was pleasantly surprised at how accommodating Chris was! He sure made my search easy! He is a valued employee, I hope to see him there again! Thank you and please thank Chris for his great service.

It took a minute because the magazine I was looking for was not in the computer as inventory but the employee at the information desk took me over to where it shouldve been and there is was, thankful she took the extra time to help me find it!

Amazing bookstore! Staff had asked what I was looking for when I was having trouble finding my favorite book series new release (The Silent Thaw of the Warrior Cats series, to be exact.) And found it in no time.

Went here today for a school event. The staff and store manager were super helpful and accommodating for our event. The store was organized and staff asked if we needed help locating anything. We went over to the Starbucks store for treats and staff was quick to get our items. It is very nice to have a local bookstore this nice close by!

Happy there is still a bookstore around that a person can browse and relax at. Staff is very helpful and knowledgable. Also, there chocolate chunk cookies are delicious.

Between these stores and a handful of little shops, the bookstore has an uphill battle against the tech world, but Barnes and Noble is doing it right. Its great to wander through the aisles and contemplate a new title or to have a look around at some of their unique video and music options. Grab a cup of coffee or a specialty drink and have a look around. There is a collection for everything you need, and the people are really helpful. Go here and help to keep the idea of good bookstores as a viable entity in a world where our screens dominate our every moment.

Clean well.stocked Barnes and Noble. Employees are not always particularly friendly but they are courteous, efficient, and dont usually act.like book snobs. I have been able to get B and N vinyl exclusives here without them being sold out right away. Good selection of board games as well. Parking is not a problem here.

We had a poor experience at Barnes & Noble in Geneva. We were looking for a particular item, and online, it said this location had 2 in stock. An employee briefly looked for us, and then told us he was sorry they didn’t have it. He probably spent 2 minutes (maybe 3) actually looking and then gave up. He wasn’t busy and just loitered around after telling us we were out of luck. Disappointed in this service.

My one stop go-to place for books. I can usually find what I want and find a few pick-ups along the way. Nothing like treating yourself to a fresh story!

Absolutely love Barnes & Noble! I bring my toddler all the time to play with the train table and to the public reading times for kids. Cafe ha delicious food and there’s a huge selection of gifts, books, and toys! The checkout line has been unusually long the last few times I’ve been genre hence the 4 stars.

The vanishing book stores are reality so get the kids to one before they have to read about them on the internet. Well organized with some very knowledgeable staff and an impressive inventory on hand. They are great for special ordering and,of course you can get a drink (not alcoholic) to enjoy while you read.

My experience at this book store is great, you walk in your immediately greeted, a few minutes in they ask if you have found what you are looking for if not they will help or send you in the right direction, love good customer service, also my other favorite part is kiddie side of the store, they have many books and sit down tables for you and your child to sit down and bond, as well as a cute set up in the back where kids can use there imagination, its so cute if your into books for your self check it out and if your kids like to read this is the right place, I bought my 10 year old daughter a book that encourages her to read, write as well as expand her imagination and vocabulary. The stories she comes up with I feel they should be in a movie 😊, and for my 3 year old daughter is was a coloring book with animals ect over 50 pages its a big book I paid 14.99 for it, and can I just say she was fully engaged she knows alot of animals now, we sit down go on google and look at facts about the animal and the details she is really engaged because of this book she has expanded her knowledge and vocabulary. over all great selection for my self they have dictionaries, psychology, businesses, and wellness books. over all the store is organized and what makes it even better is the friendly staff. good job barnes and nobles good job. #recommended

As an avid reader, the demise of this store is disheartening. Year by year, their selection gets smaller and more generic. Big areas of this store are devoted to learning tools for kids and specialty merchandise. As these areas grow, their more diverse topics and selections shrink or go away entirely. We try to shop a store instead of ordering online, but like the local bookstore in St. Charles, this store has nothing to offer that isn’t extremely safe and mainstream. I hate to buy from Amazon, but B&N plays right into their hands with their extremely limited selection.
