Earned yourselves a new regular! Was looking for a arrangement for mothers day and found such excellent designs at this shop. Great service, top notch flowers, and no hassle with the entire process.

Beautiful arrangement. I would rate it a 5-star.  However,  unbeknownst to me, the Germantown location, whose website I utilized to place my order, is no longer operational. When my same day delivery did not arrive, I called the number listed on the website several times early the next morning. Each time the call went unanswered and was directed to a full mailbox.  I then called another Genes location where it was intimated that somehow I was to blame for not submitting the order in time - even though both my order confirmation and purchase receipt clearly state same day delivery. After listening to several excuses I thought my delayed order would become a priority. Sadly it was not, which further complicated the delivery process. In the end, they made good and delivered a lovely arrangement. Ed, the delivery driver, was exceptional. He also deserves 5-stars. His customer service skills far exceeded those of the manager I had been dealing with over the phone.

Trying to find some white roses for my daughters drive thru Baby Shower, apparently this florist has other location stores. I was simply asking him for prices on roses, and since I had already spoken to him at another location he just hung up on me. Will never get a penny from me, for sure. Not very nice.

The worst! They totally ruined mother’s day for us! I live in a different state and couldn’t be with my mum on mother’s day so i ordered flower basket to be delivered on Sunday but she never got it. So basically i paid 100$ for nothing! Waste of time and money!When i called they never answered and their voicemail was full. Im sure they screwed up alot of people’s mother’s day not just ours. If i had known that they were not able to deliver on time i would have ordered from somewhere else!

GENES FLORIST ...I highly recommend this florist. I am from NORTH Carolina and needed to send flowers to a former neighbor for her 75T birthday. I ordered online shortly before 9 a.m. when the shop opened on a Saturday and they delivered the arrangement by 2 p.m. with a notification of delivery. She lives in an assisted living facility and they delivered it to her room as requested. They also had better prices than others in the area that I looked at. Great service that required no follow up on my part and great communication about my order.GREAT FLORIST AND SERVICES !!

I loved working with Genes for a flower delivery in Maryland. I wanted to send a bouquet to my friend and they did a phenomenal job picking out flowers according to her favorite colors. Her surprise delivery arrived on the same day I ordered. Really pleased with their work and will definitely order from them in the future!

Be careful. A family member ordered flowers from Genes to be delivered to us on the same day ordered. We recieved no flowers. We attempted to call and no one answered. Finally we reached someone and they indicated they would look into and no call back. I drove to the address to find the location posted and the buliding was all boarded up and vacant. We received no flowers and family member was charged almost $80. Credit card company is reimbursing. Appears to be a scam. I dont want anyone else to go through this.

LOVE THIS FLORIST ...We have used this florist for the last 6 years to provide center pieces for our annual Holiday Parties . The fragrant lilies and pink roses were incredibly fragrant and beautifully arranged for my anniversary. The Red roses are always fresh here and lasts long as well. The phone help is excellent and are great at meeting your needs. Very hospitable staff and they always exceed customers expectations. I ordered a $100 floral arrangement to be delivered to my wife today on Valentine’s Day (02/14/2019). I called at around 10:00 am to check on the status of the flowers and was informed that they were currently out for delivery in my wife’s area (Rockville) and that they would be delivered soon. After checking in with her coworkers around 4:00 pm I was informed by them that the floral arrangement had not yet arrived. After calling back, I was then informed that they were still out for delivery and should be getting to her soon, no later than 6-7. Therefore, I had to let my wife know that flowers were on the way and she offered to stay late after work in order to be there for delivery. As it gets past the 6:00pm time I decide to call to see if the arrangement is still on track to be delivered within the stated time. After numerous calls from multiple phones (which were not answered) the flowers have still not arrived. This is still well within their business hours and I can only assume that calls are being purposely avoided.Edit: Called today and the manager picked up at 9:00 am. He apologized for the late delivery and issued a refund which I was informed will show up on Wednesday. Appreciate the apology and anticipated refund

The flowers she provided were fresh, beautiful and arranged better than I could have ever imagined. I ordered flowers for my girlfriends first day at a new job. They werent delivered and he never called to say they werent going to be delivered so i could get a real company to do it. Calls are not answered, sent to an anonymous voicemail. This doesnt sound like a real business to me. I would avoid them.

Ordered flowers for a Co-worker living in Maryland and the flowers were never delivered, nor were we contacted to let us know. Tried calling all day today and can’t get ahold of anyone there.... it’s sad when people run their business like this. Seems like they just keep their website up to fraud people out of their hard earned money. Steer clear of this establishment.

I called on Sunday and was told Id receive a call back in 10 minutes. Waited an hour, I never received a callback, so I ordered the Enchanted Cottage deluxe package online for an anniversary gift. It was supposed to be delivered to my moms work the next day, and they were not able to make the delivery before 3pm close. So I gave them the home address and was told it would be delivered within the hour to 1.5 hrs. I spoke with Randy and he was not able to give me an accurate delivery time because he couldnt communicate with the driver. Later when I tried to call him back, he wouldnt answer. We did not receive the order until 8:10pm.And the order was not when I expected. Instead of substituting flowers that werent available, the bouquet did not have the flowers pictured. It definitely was not a $65 worth bouquet. It was supposed to have a bow, no bow.I tried to drive to the location and it does not exist. So I called back the next morning. He offered to create a deluxe bouquet free of charge and deliver that instead. Ill update with how it looks. Im ultimately disappointed with the service and delivery. This will be my first and last time with the service. And I wanted to use local flower shop because I was tired of ProFlowers service. And last time I use Jireh but they were closed on Sunday.

I ordered valentines day flowers for my wife, received a confirmation e-mail stating the flowers would be delivered on 2/14, now on 2/15 flowers never delivered. The florist does not answer their phone or e-mails and now Im out $91 and still have to buy flowers for my wife. Stay away from this company!

There is no physical shop that exist at this address. Do not BUY and WASTE your money.I personally went looking for the shop and there is no re-modelling going on there. Everything is shuttered and boarded up. I will take the pictures and put them on here for everyone to see. No one spoke with me or answered the phone when I called. Give me the location address and I will come there to see myself.

Ordered flowers for Valentines Day for delivery to my wife in Germantown and they didnt arrive. Never got a call or anything about the delay. When I called to complain the next day the gentlemen basically just said oh yeah sorry there was too much traffic. Well deliver them later.After a drawn out conversation he finally agreed to refund the $12 delivery fee. The experience was less than stellar but I decided to let it go.Well turns out they never refunded me. I called and left a message, nothing. I finally got through to another employee and she said shed call me back...nothing. And no refund on my card. Just not worth following up anymore and I certainly wont use them in the future. 2 stars because at least the flowers looked nice when they finally arrived late in the day on February 15th.

Terrible service. Ordered flowers in December, received an email saying delivery occurred but flowers were never actually delivered. Called for a refund and was accused of lying about the delivery. Was told we would receive a refund shortly and never did. Called several times getting the same lines about getting a refund shortly. Eventually we went to the company which handles online transactions and within minutes had the refund sorted. The online company said that no notes were made from Genes florist requesting a refund. This was two months after the initial request for refund and after a handful of calls for our refund of over $60. A poor company and I highly recommend any other florist.

I gave 1 star because 0 stars was not an option. Ordered from Genes for the first time for my moms 80th birthday. Thought I’d support a local shop instead of a big web vendor. Genes failed to deliver on the day promised. I called to leave a message requesting a refund, and they never called back or e-mailed. They delivered an arrangement the next day - AFTER her birthday. Never got a call or e-mail from Genes, and no refund or even partial credit. I would never use Genes again; shop elsewhere for your flowers!

I am not one to write reviews almost NEVER. I am also understanding that on Valentines Day, it can get very busy and overloaded quick. I placed my order online on 2/13/19 to be delivered the following day (2/14) to my wife who works near by their address (other comments say the place doesnt exist.. idk). But, order placed, money taken from my account, and confirmation email received. I ASSUMED that I was good to go, even still I called in on 2/14/19 at 11:49 to confirm my order that took $92 was en-route. He ask, Where is it going? _ Germantown, like around the corner from you... then says Ohh.. all Germantown orders are out for delivery.Awesome right?.. well 4:30 comes around and I ask if she ever got anything. She said no nothing. Then the fun begins, I now disappointed the wife. SO I call back and he doesnt answer, not the first time or the 3rd or the 5th, 6th, 7th.... from a few numbers, not a single answer. ALL between 5 - 6 pm. When your advertised as open until 8:30, someone could have answered the phone, not only that but your a BUSINESS, and when 4 different numbers call... I would like a REFUND 100%, and we can call it no harm no foul, you messed up, own up, and maybe we can try you again in the future.I am fine with re-evaluating my rating and review with this company, we will see if they reach back, I have contacted them through their Contact Us link on the site .Edit: Called today and he answered, said what he was doing was free delivery charge and making arrangement better. But now see he gave another person refund.. Lets see how the arrangement looks. Will update

AVOID AND DONT waste your money or time!!I ordered flowers to be sent to my husband based off of the location (GERMANTOWN to GERMANTOWN) around 10:30 am and called after placing my online order. I was told they would be delivered as I requested before 3pm sure no problem.I called around 2pm to follow up and then at 3pm to find out what is going on. Both times Randy the owners response was let me call the driver he then proceeded to say that since I placed the order LATE that was probably the reason for my delivery not arriving on my special instruction time but wait I had called after my order to CONFIRM the order would be there by 3........Owner was rude and also told me not to go based off other reviews and quickly was rushing me off of the phone. Terrible businessman/owner.Based off of all the negative reviews I sure hope I get a refund asap or I will surely be speaking to the BBB.EXTREMELY disappointed. You think that going local and having communication is key......
