Happy with this place, but not so happy because I havent been able to find my rotisserie rabbit.
We love to go to the restaurant for brunch on Saturdays. It can be a little crowded, but we have never waited longer than about 10 minutes. We havent gotten a lot from the rest of the market. The pretzels at the front are delicious and buttery, and the produce is always lovely. The hot chicken is on our To try list.
Lots of choices from flowers, furniture, meat, bbq ribs and chicken. Vegetables, spices along with a deli. Bakery, pretzels etc.
It was an interesting experience. Every area was its own. If you wanted dairy you would select your items and then pay for them there the same with meat This location was fairly busy when I was there
It was not crowded. Wad able to get in and out. Everyone is nice.
I love this place. My husband and I make it a point to visit each time we are in the area. I love everything about this location. The fresh prepared foods, the baked goods and best of all the excellent customer service. I wish there was a location in NC. I would in there everyday if I lived closer.
Pretzels are amazing. mocha dessert & strawberry delight from the deli are amazing. cheese is amazing. sandwiches at the restaurant are amazing. fried chicken is amazing.Just buy everything you wont be let down.
No stars. One of the stores, Abner Ash, kicked out my friend who is a disabled veteran from his store for having his service dog. He had all the papers proving the dog was A.D.A certified too.
Best restaurant best grocery facility the whole area. What I like about it is there so direct and sure!
Such a neat market. Everything is fresh and smells amazing. The staff are super friendly and wonderful.
Delicious and fresh! Nothing further to say. Visit and enjoy!
This is a great place to go to by food to take home as well as eat there. Kinda reminds you of the old days when you could buy food outside as well as pick up things to eat while shopping. They actually had a service to eat things there that you also buy there. The place is always packed with people waiting via a number to wait your turn, but you dont have to wait very long. You can by food just like your at a grocery store, a bakery area, cheese, meat, etc. You can also buy things like kitchen tables and similar furniture items. You got to go to this place. It will be a unique friendly experience, which Im sure you will want to go back to. Hey, you got to try the deviled eggs. Yummy. And the employees are friendly and patient. If in the area, give It a shot.I bet you cant wait to tell your friends how cool this place is!
Outstanding food excellent customer service and pricing is reasonable
Today 2-4-2021, I went to the super market and bought this, artichoke spinach crab dip. I’m so upset because they are far away from my house. As I was looking through the cheese, I saw that some the Munster Cheese was moldy...also, I never thought that the dips where going to be moldy to. If you’ll going to buy from the deli please cheek what you buying first.I love the super Market but this is very upsetting.
Amazing choices for fresh and prepared foods. Each vendor has their own niche. Bakery with breads, pies and fantastic donuts. Soft, just made pretzels. A wide assortment of salads, fruits, meats and vegetables. A dairy vendor with their own milk, cheeses, milkshakes and cheesecakes. Flowers and nuts. The day I was there they had whole hog BBQ, selling outside. The meat was extraordinary but pass on the sauce. Ive been told they have it 3 weekends during the spring and summer.
The Lancaster Dutch County Market is not just a place to shop, its an experience. From the restaurant, where youll get the most orange egg yolks and one of the top three best breakfasts in Montgomery County, to the furniture shoppe, the LDCM will change the way you view eating out, BBQ, bedroom sets (and other furtiture), butchery, produce, baked goods and even pretzels. I STRONGLY encourage everyone to spend a few hours on Th, Fr or Sat at the Market.
The best BBQ i have ever had. Donuts, and fresh fruits and meats! So good to have farm fresh veggies. The wings are so good, every other place is now measured against the dutch wing masters. Also as everyone else mentions, the Amish are the sweetest kindest, most hardworking people. SO humbling to be around them.
Friendly staff. Good prices on very fresh meat and produce. Lotts of prepared food selection. Busy.
The lady at the florist was so sweet. Stop in a pick up an angel for someone in your life that you care about. They are handmade and very affordable. And while you are there, turn around and have an amazing donut. This place is wonderful. They are only open Thursday through Sunday and the pretzel stand is cash only.
Love the Dutch Market. So many great stalls inside. Big fan of Kings BBQ, Beilers doughnuts (their pies are amazing too - peach praline is my favorite) - be sure to stop by the market when they have a pig roast, really good stuff.
Love the variety, the precooked food is great and so is the staff.
Ive been coming here from Northern VA for years....German food and amazingly kind people...Awesomeness!
Wholesome, farm fresh produce, meats, and bakery items. Dinner or lunch to-go-with choices of ribs, fried chicken or whole roasted chicken. A must stop for the holidays if youre looking for traditional dinners and meals delivered from Amish country.
Go with a smile on your face and cash in your pocket. Expect walkway to be crowded but it adds to the charm. Best breakfast food ever at the restaurant.
Easily the best wings I have ever had. Seasoned and fried with or without breading. Pretzels, I buy by the dozen. The fruits and veggies are so fresh! and of course you get to be around the sweetest people on earth, the AMISH!!
So excited to come back here! A great indoor Dutch market, complete with great homemade goods and foods! This was my first time getting food here and I was very pleased with the quality and homemade tastes, especially at a reasonable cost. I will definitely be returning to sample some more foods and maybe go shopping as well.
Love this place. Some of the best food around this area. Jsut wish they could be open more !
This is an amazing place to stop to get some of the best chicken in town I highly suggest it and if you do come you wont be sorry
I’m not sure what all the positive feedback is. I spent 65 dollars for a slab of dried ribs, Dried Chicken Wings and half cooked potato wedges.Everyone inside is not wearing mask or gloves. Not worth the drive to Western MOCO! All the food going straight to the trash!
I love this market I always find nuts and snacks I enjoy
The products (fried chicken, pretzels and pecan pie) were delicious and fresh. Prices were not cheap but for good and fresh products its reasonable. Only issue is the crowded space and parking, but we came on Saturday noon, so that is to be expected.
Good home cooked food and fresh meats, fruits and vegetables to buy. I also love their fried chicken
No where near as good as the one in Laurel.
Kings chicken, at this establishment, is the best I have ever had. The service and food is spectacular!
Beilers is a delicious Amish doughnut bakery. They carry both old fashion cake as well as regular. I love the regular donuts because they are so light and airy! But I do suggest getting them first thing in the morning. They arent as fresh later in the day. They have a bunch of fun options like M&Ms, fruity pebbles, maple bacon, peanut butter jelly, Oreos, Nutella cream and list goes on. But my favorites are the simple glazed and Boston Creme.Prices are so reasonable! And now you dont have to go into Lancaster County Dutch Market in Germantown. During COVID, they are offering delivery with 3rd party services. While this has been a blessing, it is also a curse. I just cannot enough of these! They are only open Thursdays-Saturdays.
Best quality meat and freshly made pretzels !Pay with only VISA or cash.
This place is a gem! They have a large variety of foods that are both prepared and raw ingredients. They have by far the best selection of gluten free products and spices around. The fried chicken and bbq is spot on. The deli salads are not too be missed a well. My favorite is the northern bay salad.
Love it here. The food is so good.
This is an outstanding operation. Whodve ever thunk grocery shopping could be fun?
O... m... g... go to the pretzel stand up front and get the pepperoni and cheese rolls.
Relaxing atmosphere and the food was excellent!
1st time there in 2.5 years. The staff didnt wear mask which made me uncomfortable
One negative is how popular this place is and with limited room to stand in line or walk by. It is get to know your neighbors time.
Delicious, excellent quality prepared goods, baked goods, and meats. Fresh pretzel lovers: this is our place.
Oh my gosh. Everything was soo good. I got a pretzel and a sausage and cooper pretzel dog and holy moly- I am not a sausage fan but after eating this I am!!! 10/10I got candy too and it was delicious
Lots of good food from fried chicken, fresh pretzels, raw meats produce grains and baked goods
Friendly staff, good food and reasonable prices.
Whats not to like. Fresh meats, cheeses, produce, and the sausage and Cooper rolls are the bomb!!!
My 1st time here and im in love!! not only with the establishment but the people running it! ..they was such a pleasure to talk to and do business with .. I still have the food in my lap and ive stopped eating to write this reveiw ..I truly appreciate this experience and hope them all a good weekend and to see them in the near future. Im sure they will recognize me😉😁
Amazing! Minority of bakery items made inhouse.
Great food, great prices and the nicest people! Everything is fresh and gorgeous
Just moved to Germantown and couldn’t wait to visit here. Far exceeded my expectations. All the food is delicious. Very efficiently run, and everyone is so nice! Will be visiting weekly for the fried chicken, fresh bread, pretzels and candies!
Excellent quality for bread. They do a good job managing the number of customers.
Food lovers paradise
This is the best market in DMV if you like fresh meat + dairy, pretzels and salad goodies ready for take out meals. Did i forget to mention Fried Chicken?
Fresh baked goods to Amish furniture. This place is AWESOME!
A lot of people but good food
First time going to this place in over 20 years. Ive heard so much about it over the years but never went. The place was about to close so couldnt do much. There was a fly in the chocolate case. The chicken wings & barbecue were really good
One of my favorite places to go on a Saturday morning. Everything always taste so fresh at Lancaster’s Dutch Market. From the donuts, to the fried chicken, to their deli, there is something for everyone here
Picked up some great fried chicken for dinner. My son said that the people working there are all too nice!
Best of everything homemade retail - food, furniture, veggies, meats, snacks.
The market has unbelievably great food. I mean gretThe meat trimmed to perfection. The pastries are exceptional and the chicken is huge and the fried chicken hot chicken is absolutely delicious. Everything else is unreal. But very expensive. Fun places to walk around.
Some of the best naturally food.
Fantastic place. The main draw for me is the food. Pretzels, potato salad, beef, chicken, rabbit, etc. They have a sit-down restaurant as well. They also sell furniture, nuts, vegetables, fruits, fudge, and other handicraft.Cash only.
Excellent quality and delicious tasting food. Fair prices. KIND vendors. Convenient location with good parking. You will not be disappointed. What else do you want?
Highly recommended. Period.
Beilers Doughnuts are more than worth a visit - theyre easily the best on the east coast!
Awesome looking food! Very crowded. No social distancing 😲
Good quality meat and produce . Also their chicken is 👌🏽
First time a couple of months ago we were dragged here by a couple of our friends who always around Maryland. Wow the food, the items the end product of the Dutch Market serves are phenomenal. Suggest everyone to check it out if you are around the area. They are open a certain amount of days within the week I believe so make sure you check their schedule. :D
Love their pies and bread and fresh fruit
Nice place and you get treated with respect and like family.
Incredible food, Im looking forward to dinner tonight!
We are very happy to have discovered this place for ourselves. here are real farm products. their quality is understandable when compared to store products. very friendly people from the community.
Just walked thru..but wish we didnt eat before going there...tons of freshly made food with decent price. Friendly staff. And being C-19 world plenty of nicely crafted-hand made masks.
The first time some told me about the Amish Market I pictured wooden stalls and wicker chairs or some such. This place isnt like that. Its a mix between a regular supermarket and the stall idea. You can find a bakery, butcher-deli, furniture store, pretzel shop, produce section, candy shop, flower shop, cheese shop and even a restaurant. Most places take credit cards (each sections handles payment separately) but if you want some delicious pretzels youll need to either bring cash or use the ATM by the door (and pay the fee). The prices, to me at least, are pretty reasonable for fresh, natural food. Give it a go, its something different, but fun.
First time ordering from Lancaster County Dutch Market and thought I’d try their doughnuts. Here is what I ordered:1 Boston Creme1 Vanilla sprinkles1 vanilla fruity pebbles1 peanut butter creme1 cinnamon sugar1 Nutella Creme1 Oreo Creme1 Chocolate Fruity Pebbles1 Powdered1 Dutch crumbThere doughnuts are different sizes and shapes haha. My ultimate favorite out of these ten were the vanilla fruity pebbles and the cinnamon sugar. All the other ones were okay and I wouldn’t get again, personally. Some of the doughnuts had an old taste to it which led to a weird after taste. Now, i don’t know if its supposed to tase like that, but it wasn’t good. The ratios weren’t off too. Either too much frosting/filling and vice versa.Would be open to trying the other things they have in there. I do have to say they have great customer service though. They graciously wrote a note saying that they didn’t have the Dutch crumb so they replaced it with the sour cream and thanks for understanding.Overall, I would order 2/10 doughnuts for next time so I can’t give it a 5/5 stars.
Everything is always delicious, fresh, and made with ingredients from a bygone era.
Great place to buy Amish made food and groceries, just make sure you also bring cash as some stores do not accept credit cards!
So much delicious variety of foods. And not to forget to mention furniture area and flower stand flowers stand. Check it out, I know youll find a tasty bit.
If you are looking for fresh produce, meat, etc, this is the place to go! I strongly recommend getting a soft pretzel while youre there, because theyre soooooo good! I took away one star because it can get pretty crowded on weekends, so its probably not a good idea to bring your whole family there on weekends.
Great fresh food selection, always full...
Awesome food awesome place all around
This place is a gem! Delicious meats, cheeses and desserts. Do NOT go here on an empty stomach! The staff is all super nice and the food is superb. Highly recommend!
The best Pretzel dogs ever! I dont mind waiting in line for one of these.
Delicious options, decent prices, and lovely employees. Only down sides are the hours (usually Th-Sat) and the crowds.
