I recently had my new gun jammed so I called Keith Warner and they told me to bring it in. The Gunsmith quickly came out and unjammed my gun and even went and tested fired my gun to make sure it was working properly. He also took the time to teach me about the gun. He charged a very fair price for his time. Thank You! I will be back.

Took an old side-by-side into the shop after another gunsmith botched the restoration. Mr. Warner had personally reached out to me and told me he could finish the job the right way. I was told $700 and 4-6 weeks. After 6 weeks, I started checking in about once a month. They always acted confused as to why I was asking about it, but they invariably told me it was almost finished and would likely be ready by “early next week.” After 15 weeks, I went into the shop and said I’d rather just take my gun back now because I had an upcoming out-of-state move. Mr. Warner told me he had it on his bench at that moment and it would be finished “later that week or early next.” I asked to see it and he showed me someone else’s gun, then said that mine was all disassembled and he couldn’t show it to me. A month later I still hadn’t heard from them so I go back in and ask for my gun. It’s in a supply closet, fully assembled and untouched. Looks like it hadn’t even been examined since the day I dropped it off approximately 20 weeks before. It was a disappointing experience, but the blatant lying was the worst part. What an odd business.

Please dont take your firearm here for work. I took my grandfathers Browning A5 here to get the metal refinished after he gave it to me. I was told they had someone who specialized in them. They said it would be 8 weeks to complete the work. Unknown to me, a buddy had also dropped off his grandfathers A5 a few weeks prior to mine going it. I was also told they had a third there that they were working on.I called about 9-10 weeks after I dropped off, and they acted like I was crazy for calling to check, saying I would be called when its ready. I waited about another 3-4 weeks before I was called to pick up my shotgun. I went in, and when they brought out the gun, I noticed the stock and forend didnt perfectly match, which was a characteristic of my gun, so I assumed it was mine. The metal looked absolutely perfect, which surprised me, since it had been in pretty bad shape when I brought it in. I flipped it over and looked at the serial number, and compared it to the one on my drop-off receipt. Not even CLOSE! They had reassembled my grandfathers shotgun with some of my parts, with some being from another customers gun. They took the gun back in and said they would get it sorted out.I waited a few more weeks, and when I picked it up again, the serial number matched, but sadly I have no idea if any of the other parts are mine. Unfortunately, this gunsmith lacks the care and attention to detail to be in the gunsmithing business. It should not be difficult to keep customers gun parts in separate bins for organization.

Great Experience! I was suggested to them from a co worker that has done business for many years with Keith. After going to many other gun stores, i called him and he found what I was looking for, hit the price, and got me a scope that was better than what I had planned to get (for less the price). I highly recommended them! Good people too.

Great Gunsmith!! I have been around guns my entire life and was very pleased with how knowledgeable he was. He learned from the best and that shows. He helped me restore a 300 win mag and it looks awesome and shoots even better. Very easy to work with, I highly recommend him for all your gun needs!

I couldnt be more pleased with the service I received at Keith Warner Gunsmith. I brought in a rifle that had been mistreated before I purchased it. KWG was able to fix the rifle in a very short amount of time for a very reasonable price. Keith and his employees were very professional, very knowledgeable, and very pleasant to deal with. I will not hesitate to use Keith Warner Gunsmiths in the future for my firearms needs/services.

Let me begin by saying that I rarely post reviews of any service or business, but my experience with Warner Gunsmith should be told. I dropped off a mid-1960s Ithaca 37 for some restoration work in January 2015 and, in fairness, said I was not in a rush. Cost was not discussed, I was willing to pay for a good quality restoration. I made several visits to the store since leaving it and was told repeatedly that yes, the work was underway; weve searched for a forend, but decided to make it ourselves; that the shopmade forend had broken; that the replacement forend had been found; that the wood stain was being applied to match the stock; that the shotgun was being reassembled, etc. and they would call when it was ready. I never got a call and finally decided to reclaim the shotgun. When I went in last Wednesday (2-14-18), Mr. Warner promised me that the work would be finished that Friday. When I went in today to get it, I was told it was on the workbench, being reassembled and they needed another hour. I came back in two hours and they handed me a gun that NONE of the work listed on the receipt had been done - three years and nothing, no explantion, no apology - they just handed it to me. Yes, it is a modestly priced shotgun of the common man, but it has great sentimental value to me. If this was not a worthwhile project, Mr. Warner should not have accepted it and in the interim should have been truthful about the work and returned the shotgun to me years ago.

I’ve been shopping and smithing with Keith Warner since Brunson. He has always got my guns out in time for every season. And has sold me some very nice weapons. Both modern and estate. He also procured me a highly rare gun that I had looked for, for years. Thank you Keith. And I have 2 guns I’m bringing in next week by the way. Stocks are busted and triggers are loose.

Took a Colt Commander in to have the original staked in sight milled to take a dovetail front sight. While in Atlanta I got a quote for $160 total to have the work done including sight installation. 4 month turnaround. Job was as it should have been, sight was correctly set for zero. I went straight to the range to fire 50 rounds to make sure it was tight in the slide and I wasnt unhappy with the results. Finish wasnt as good as I hoped but its average for the quality Ive come to expect in Memphis.3 star rating is based on 2 things:1-poor time management, something not uncommon among self employed gunsmiths.I was originally given a 6 week turnaround. I waited 8 weeks and went in. Not ready but was assured it would be finished the coming Wednesday. I returned 4 weeks later and it wasnt finished. Was then told by an store employee it would be finished by the next Tuesday. Waited 2 weeks and called, it was just getting finished that day. I understand the difficulties and such, telling me itll take 6 weeks and actually taking longer isnt a problem if you deliver on the next date you tell me. Just tossing out a date is not professional. Id lose my job for that in my business.2-Cost out the door was $40 more than quote, no explanation why. My fault for trusting a quote over the phone.Gunsmiths are often known for poor time management and this shop is no exception. Having spent decades in fabrication and running machines, no other machine shop can get away with the liberties gunsmiths take. I have several other projects I need done, I will continue to search for one that respects its customer base. Being now in retail firearms I get a lot of requests for gunsmiths. If I suggest this shop it will be with some warnings.

Took my grandfathers early 1900s LC SMITH 12G in to be restored and the results are out of this world. I was almost sure there was no way to bring this thing back from the dead, I was way wrong. Professional, knowledgeable, miracle workers are just some of the things these guys are. I’ll never be able to say thank y’all enough. If you want it done right make sure to bring it here. Thank you guys again before and after pictures coming soon.

Keith Warner, Terry and the rest of the staff are great. Keith has rebarreled and headspaced receivers for me plus added sights to two shotgun barrels. All of the work done was reasonably priced, professionally performed and delivered when promised in a timely manner. He has handled several transfers for me over the years at a competitive price. They even made adjustments on a pistol I purchased online, and did not even charge me for the work. The atmosphere there is welcoming and professional. Highly recommended.

Feel like I was taken - my gun was not firing so I took it in for them to take a look at and fix, I was told it would be 12 weeks before I got it back. My gun was at the shop for a day apparently cleaned - no parts replaced - cost? $175!Sorry guys thats taking advantage of people - and you know it

I wish I could give 0 stars. I brought in my great grandfathers gun to be restored, but I dropped this gun off and was waiting on an estimated price and details on what was going to be done. After about a month, I called because I had not heard from anyone and was told my gun was almost complete. After stating that I was confused and wanted everyone to stop work because I didnt know how much this project would cost, I was told that the work was $950...For a gun that was maybe worth $50! I paid these jerks who blatantly ripped me off only because of the sentimental value. They basically stole my gun and resold it to me at 1000% of the guns actual value. Save your time and money and go to someone honest, not greedy.

Keith Warner was very helpful to me with a purchase of a new Caesar Guerini 12 gauge shotgun. He always returned messages and communicated with me regarding the shotgun and its delivery.Yes, I have read some of the negative comments which preceded my review, but they just dont ring true. I found Keith to be attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, and a man dedicated to his business and its growth. What more could be asked? He has my full recommendation.

Brought all the parts for them to complete a trigger modification. They finished the upgrade in about 5 months. Way to long and horrible customer service. I brought them a brand new unfired gun. When I got it back, the paint was chipped in numerous places and had vice marks. Overall the job I paid $260 for, is still incomplete. The gun only fires from hammer down position. Meaning it’s not functional after the first shot being a single/double action.along with that it was missing parts when I got it back. I would never bring anything to them, unless you want to be disappointed. Can’t believe they make money doing this to people.

I appreciated first the professional interest in my specific problem or any error addressed. For me, I had a trigger pull that would pop tendons out of your neck and the rifle has a petulant tendency to consistently spit one round out of a 3-shot group over yonder when it should hit right here. Right next to these two little holes. The trigger pull is now pound-pull perfect; and I have every confidence if the gun can be spanked into doing right, these guys can do it. And, second, of course it depends on how full the shop is when you walk through the door, sometimes they are simply busy and hurried; but both times I was down there I was treated real fine ... and feel like I made some friends, not treated as if I was just a bill fold walking through the door. But ... you better bring your bill fold with you. Taint cheap. Aint. One of these days I would like to get my hands on a 7mm Remington magnum or 300 Winchester magnum with a 60-degree bolt turn, of some sort of an action, out of their custom shop. I hear tell you can go long-range gnat hunting with one of their custom jobs. Maybe more on that later ... after I am out of the hospital and fully recuperated from being beaten by an irate wife. Any one with low rate doghouse housing, let me know.

Wanted $80 for ~5 min of work (said it would take an hour). I understand making a profit but I completely thought he was kidding when he came back and said it would be $80 to torque my barrel nut. Also, made a politically related crack while multiple customers were in the store. I didn’t necessarily disagree but not very professional. However his selection and services seems pretty good if you’re willing to pay well over marketEdit: Sir to your response to my review, you can list out 12 steps to defend yourself but as soon as I left your shop I drove to another local gun smith and had what I needed completed in 5 minutes for $15. Also, as I clearly stated when I walked in, the only thing I needed done was to have the nut torqued to the proper torque. You NEVER asked for the BCG because if you did I would have provided it to you on the spot along with the gas block and tube that I had with me. In your store. Sitting on the counter. I appreciate you stating you would have to check the headspace but I have a gauge, the only thing I needed done was have the nut tightened.
