Stopped by for some thread and some patches for a pair of shorts. No problem finding what I needed, but there was a decent line up front with only 1 cashier open.

Only go if you know everything about fabric. I needed fabric for embroidery work (being done somewhere else) but the fabric needed to be sourced for patches for a uniform. Nobody that works in the store is helpful, period. So unless your a fabric expert dont expect any help from anyone who works there.

They have most cardstock on sale 10 for $2. If you love paper crafts, this is a HUGE sale for us.

I have been looking for yarn for an afghan. Michaels had a sale but very little to choose from. Even though a lot of shelves in this Joann store were bare it still had a lot to choose from.

The store itself is what it is. The staff though, everytime I gi the people at the fabric cutting table are cranky! The lines are usually super long and go at a snails pace.

I bought a ton of stuff for black friday and the cashier (her name was Alex) was genuinely helpful and willing to answer all of my questions about sales and the products in general. Also, when I was having some fabric cut at the counter, the woman working was very kind too, despite the semi-busy atmosphere at the time. Great location and helpful employees.

Usually a good experience, but today I was helped by a lazy cashier. Frame was posted as $25 online and in store, but was ringing up at full price. I told the cashier about it and refused to look or ask. She inisted on me pay in $60 even though the entire store was on sale. Nobody else was near. I had other errands to run and got irritated and walked out. I ordered the frame online in my car to pick up at the same store so I could get the real sale price. I had to come back later that day to get the frame. The new cashier apologized profusely. Like I said earlier, this store is normally great to shop at, but the cashier this morning really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Needed more cashiers otherwise the shopping experience was great.

This store is clean, and the cashier saved me a ton by offering coupons from the app off of her own phone to encourage me to download it and shop again.

Can I just say I spend to much money here. LolThe staff is super helpful. Their coupons galore have saved me hundreds. And wile I think I bought them out of yarn in the color of my blanket when I have gone back they always seem to have more.

This Joann has it all! Crafts for kids, decor, fabric, art supplies are only the beginning! I love coming to this Joann because the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The manager really shows she takes pride in this store and I’ve seen her going the extra mile with her customers. I keep coming back to this Joann.

Always a nice place to visit, but the lines are often far longer than youd like. Not sure why they only have a few registers open...Plus, if youre requiring masks, then enforce it. Otherwise, its not much of a requirement, is it? When asked, they say we cant enforce it. Sure you can! Youre a private business and youre backed by local mask mandates. Pretty weak...all it takes is one super spreader jerk without a mask. And this issue also affects employees, of course, so its also in their best interests to enforce policies.

I had a overall good experience at this location. I felt like they had a little less selection compared to most of their stores. I still recommend them.

Everything I went for was in stock. Spring, who cut my fabric was the nicest person!

I like the store always something fun to find.

They are working hard to keep us customers safe. Their shelves are still lacking but they are very nice to all of us customers.

The people at the register are always very friendly. I just wish they had more people to help while looking for an item. I barely say anyone working on the floor when Im there.

This Jones is clean and well stocked my only problem is Jo Anns in general feels so over priced. I only go when I absolutely need something that Hobby Lobby doesnt have.

Placed an order online, said it was in stock ...I drove half town to go get my order and then I was told that they couldnt find it. This was a gift for my wife. I definitely dont recommend them at all. Terrible customer service and selection .. avoid this place!

Great sales and selection but Not enough cashiers

Terrible customer service at the counter. At the end of my purchase when handing me my receipt, the boy stated I had coupons for future use, which clicked my brain i had forgotten to use mine I had for that day in my bag.. sadly like all other cashiers whom typically ask before completion, this young boy did not so it slipped my mind. When I asked if he could rescan my receipt so I could use my coupon I had for that day he refused. I would have saved an additional $15. Unacceptable.

This 5-star review is for my favorite employee at the S. Market St. Gilbert Jo-Ann’s, Louise. She is a great asset to the store. This is an employee who actually enjoys being at work and has FUN with her customers. It is so nice to come get supplies for my projects knowing that an awesome employee is waiting there eager to help me. She never fails to make me smile and/or laugh each time I’m in the store.There are several times that she has up-sold me while working at the cutting counter. As a result, I have purchased fantastic gadgets that I never would have known about if she hadn’t recommended them.Dear Jo-Ann’s, please treat Louise well. She deserves it. She is the reason customers like me go out of their way to shop at this specific location.The rest of the staff is great as well. The store is well organized and clean... much better than the other locations I sometimes have to go to!

They really have everything you need for crafts sewing hobbies painting.

I have never given a business a poor rating before but in JOANN’s case I have no other choice. On previous visits I noted that they only had one or two cashiers checking out customers which in each situation forced a long line to wait an inordinate amount of time. I was in the store 11/22/20 at 5:30pm and after I found the thread I needed I proceeded to the checkout. There were 11 customers in front of me and before that number went to 10 there were 8 people behind me and one cashier. I shop the store because of its selection despite the prices being 50% higher than the nearby Walmart, but I will no longer tolerate a 22 minute wait to check out and remain silent. Yes, I tried to flag down an older woman I imagined to be the manager and was ignored. I’m done with you JOANNS

Since the pandemic, things are a bit different at JoAnns just like other businesses.My tips if youre coming for fabric and mask-making supplies:1) Monday is the best time to shop for a better selection on cotton fabrics especially black cotton. It sells out fast. By Friday, most of the popular cotton solid colors and prints are gone.2) Elastic is good quality and .99 a yard. 1/8th is best for ear loops and for kids. I like 1/4th for head wraps.3)Interfacing is available behind the counter, self serve.4)Fat quarters can get you one adult mask or at least 2 kid masks depending on the style you use.5) Always come with a coupon. They have tons on their website, their app and when you sign up for emails.

They have tons of fabric choices, but the fabric area has had really long lines lately because only one person is available to cut fabric everytime im there. Last time I waited 30 mins.

Nice store, staff girl who checked us out was preoccupied which was rude. She was extremely irritated about a pick up order but she didnt need to put a show on while checking us out. There are ways to be tactful.

I went here to purchase a Cricut easy press. I asked an employee for help and she told me to go to the register. I had to stand in a line 5 people deep to find out if they had it. The cashier called a manager on her headset. They tried to up sell me while playing telephone through the cashier without letting me look at what I get. Also, if you know Cricut, they have raspberry, lilac, and rose which could all be considered a shade of pink. They would only relay that they had “pink.” The manager wouldn’t bring it up front for me to look at it myself. Eventually I got frustrated and left. I’ll get it on amazon for the same price and no frustration.This could easily be solved by having the manager meet the customer at the display or have pull cards to show what is available.

It’s a good craft store. The staff at this location is friendly and helpful. Weekends are very busy. Plan to wait in line to purchase your crafty things on the weekend.

It was certainly a crafts store in which you can buy various fabrics and materials of different shapes and sizes. The people who work here are very kind and respectful of me and my friends.

Great selection for most of the materials I need for the costumes I make.

Debbie at the fabric alterations was amazing! Took time to explain things and really went out of her way to help us out. Melody at the cashier was very helpful at checkout as well and waited so we could download the app for a coupon. Great service!

All the employees here are super nice and friendly. I can find pretty much any craft supply I need here and theres always something seasonal and fun to explore. They have tons of fabrics to browse through for any sewing project imaginable. I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of craft supplies or seasonal decor.

Generally a good craft store. Good selection of fabrics though marked up to offset frequent coupons. Getting fabric cut took longer than it should with no active notification system for when its your turn, you just need to hang out near the fabric area hoping to see your number come up. Considering the percentage of inventory space dedicated to fabrics Id take some time to think about this process.

I have been to nearly a dozen different JoAnns in the valley, and this has always been my favorite location. Their inventory is almost always marked with the appropriate price. Even if you are unsure of the price, this is the ONLY location that has price scanners in the store that you can use to check the price. This is incredibly helpful, especially since JoAnns has a sale on various item every other week. All in all, I will often go out of my way to go this JoAnns location because of their inventory and the price scanners, as weird as that may be.

I ordered some items off the website on April 19th. I called the store a few days in, and they said they had 600 orders ahead of me and to cancel my order or wait. I really needed the items so I decided to just wait. Today, 10 days later, I just got an email they cancelled my total order. If you dont have the items, dont make your customers wait 10 days to find that out. I am so upset with the way Joann has handled this situation, this was your chance to show what you think of your customers, and YOU HAVE.

This place is great. Part of the holy trinity of crafts, Michaels, Joanns and almighty Hobby Lobby. This is a staple for items. Only ever give pause to custom framing (it costs an arm and a leg). The friendly staff here was able to point me towards much cheaper prefab frames that are amazing for my most recent project.

Love their selection of fleece but I always have issues at this location. Internet orders not pulled, being overcharged and a few of their older employees should not be in customer service. Very rude when checking out.

1/8 20 people in line. 1 man at the register who claimed they were short 1 person. He called for a back up cashier 3 times. Wow we’re people upset. I personally waited over 20 minutes in line.This is the 3rd time (no - not at Christmas time either)That this store has been like this in a row.Manager / NancyThough called refused to come to the front to help out. Other customers I overheard ask for her name as well.No fabric to choose from. What they did have was the same old same old.Store was a mess.This place has gone sooooo down hill that it’s worth a trip to the city for fabrics for me. Sad.

Called and asked if they price match and I was told yes as long as its Michaels or hobby lobby or even their own. Got there and was declined my price match even though I showed them their competitors ad. Manager that was an older gentleman didnt even think twice and was rude. Wont be coming back.

Less of a hobby store and more into the textiles, this is the place to go for all your quilting, knitting, and seamstress needs. Go to Hobby Lobby for more of the hobby and craft stuff. Store has everything you need and knowledgeable friendly staff. Prices are good too.

Some great classes here. Use a coupon for purchases. Theyve got everything.
