Love supporting local business but this one is absolutely exceptional! Stopped in to stock up for Labor Day weekend and so happy I did. Greeted by a nice young man (didnt catch his name, sorry). I had no idea what I wanted but knew I was going to give the smoker a workout this weekend. He recommended the dinosaur ribs (beef short ribs) and thick cut pork chops. I added their twice baked potatoes to go with the pork chops and made broccoli salad to go with the ribs. WOW!! Both selections were perfect. Great quality meat and a great value. These 2 meals were less than 1 meal (without drinks) at any nice restaurant around town. Instant fan and wont buy meat anywhere else going forward. I noticed they have a full selection of meats from burgers to sausage, Tomahawk steaks to several different marinated chicken breast, pork and a huge selection of seafood from scallops to king crab legs. To top it all off.. they also have gourmet treat for dogs. Snacks to ears and feet and so many other options to choose from. What a great spot here in our backyard. Wish I would have known about this place sooner but now I know! Thank you for all you do!

Been thinking about this place for a whole and man are we glad we stopped! Great selection of meats, very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Decided in the polish sausage and man did it deliver! Will definitely being going back, oh also we got a pigs ear for our little pug and let me tell you shr destroyed it in 35 mins!!!

Today was my first time in, my wife and I needed some stuff for kababs. We grabbed a NY strip, Italian Sausage, and a few bacon wrapped jalapeños. WOW, WOW, WOW!! Top notch quality, service with a smile, and tons of other great extras will grab next time. Highly recommend a stop in this local establishment. Skip the big brand stores, Gilbert Butchery is the place to be!!

I went in there today and let them know we wanted great steaks as we were celebrating. I told them I trusted their expertise in making the selections, strip for me and tenderloin for my wife. So disappointing to get home and my wife’s filet is 2 pieces tied together with a string. Way to step up!

A awesome butcher shop has finally come to Gilbert. This shop is a little hard to see from the road the the awesome food, and friendly staff make it worth the visit.They have all of the cuts of meat you would like and can even provide uncut if you like. All the sausages are made in house and I can say the breakfast sausage was amazing.They also have a section dedicated to treats, bones, and food for dogs.The staff is friendly, welcoming and more than happy to help you and answer your questions.

Our first time here as were looking for a top notch meat market. Very impressed with the display and choices of meat products. Staff was very polite and helpful. Well be back.

I was unpleasantly surprised when I cooked this and it wasnt pork, but beef. However, their label on the package nor the sign in the store say their chorizo is beef. We werent told it was beef either.

They serve the best quality of meat in town. Very clean cut and fresh!

I heard about this place and went to check it out. Very reasonable prices. I bought a porterhouse steak and a beer brat. The steak was absolutely delicious. When Im in the mood for a good steak, this will be my go to shop. Service was warm and friendly, young staff member seemed like he was learning the trade.

Stopped by here for the first time after calling around looking for a knife sharpening place. After some good reviews by word of mouth I dropped off 4 blades. They are sharp for sure but the coating on 2 of the blades was pushed to far back. Also ruined the tanto edge on a 400$ Benchmade knife they rounded it off. Ill. bring back other knives for sure that have no special blade type besides straight and I wouldnt really bring anything extremely expensive unless its a straight blade. The lady that works at the counter is super nice and friendly. Il for sure be back just not with any of my expensive knives.

Little disappointed that I haven’t left a review yet since I’ve been coming here since they’ve opened! Small little butcher shop. This place has a small good selection of really great hand cut meats. The staff was super friendly and ready to answer any questions I had. I did find a great treat for my doggies.

This is one of the best butcher shops in Phoenix, the selection of meat might not be the largest, but are by far the most premium.Gilbert Butchery is one of the few shops that I have seen that offer wagyu beef in several cuts. They offer several items towards the front of the store for your dogs as well as premium dry aged tomahawks.For those looking for other items such as frozen meats and seafood to seasonings and charcoal this place has an atmosphere that is there to serve.My biggest gripe is the fact that they don’t have a rewards program, but for now I will have to accept the 10% they offer to military!Thank you for being open and having a range of meats near the holidays! It really helped this Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Great butcher shop but they dont enforce their own mask policy. Went there this morning and one man was just standing around waiting for a friend inside the shop without a mask on. I wanted to browse but didnt feel comfortable so I left. If you are concerned about your health I would recommend going elsewhere for your meat.

Bought a brisket to smoke. It was fantastic and since then my family wont let me buy meat anywhere else. Have tried a little everything from dino ribs to 2 pork chops. All the meat is spectacular and the service is great.

Great variety of fresh meats rotated out seasonally. Lots of pre marinated meats ready to grill or cook. They have at least ten different types of sausages every time we go. Some of the sausage flavors that weve tried are habanero mango, buffalo sauce with blue cheese, green chili, polish, Sweet Italian, and bratwurst. Weve liked every single one that weve tried. They also have all of the fixings you could need for a great barbecue. We found fresh sauerkraut, potato salads, macaroni salads, baked beans, hot peppers, seasonings, wood chips, butcher knives, and so much more. On a final note, they have dog treats and specialty meats (like rabbit, lamb, seafoods, etc). Very friendly staff, excited to talk about their offerings and cooking tips.

I was interested in some bison steaks and was going to visit from Las Vegas to my friends home in Gilbert. I contacted the store and it was arranged to have 3 ribeye steaks waiting for me. I arrived at Gilbert Butcher, gave them my name, and the steaks, all pre-wrapped, were brought out. A few nights later my friends and I grilled the steaks using only salt and pepper for flavoring. Those were some of the most tender and flavorful steaks Ive ever had, and Ive been to several high end steak houses such as Flemings. First off, my hat is tipped to the staff as they were able to fulfill my request and were friendly and courteous. Secondly, if you want a tremendous steak, I highly recommend the bison ribeye. Even my one friend, who normally does not prefer steak, went back to attack the third steak after eating his first one. Outstanding on all ends!!

The Roosevelt Family & their staff have such a great place. Super clean. Smells great, smiling faces to help & answer any questions. Neat items for pups and delicious sAlsa! They even carry wagyu beef!!

Only gave it 4 stars because the meat looks wonderful. The first person I encountered out front was so rude I felt like I was getting my car out of an impound lot. Everyone inside was great however. Maybe she was having a bad day who knows but I left with a poor impression.

The Butchery processed my deer with perfection. The packaging is first class, super clean and all the specialty meats like the sausage are delicious. Glad I found this place. They definitely have all my future game processing business.

My husband got a deer and he took it here. It was a great choice. They cut it up and had it de-boned, as requested by my husband, and they packaged it perfectly. We requested to have some of it made into chorizo, and wow, it was so delicious. They have other meats there too. And bones for my dog. We highly recommend this place. A bit pricey, but well worth it.

I live in Surprise and was in the area so I decided to stop by and check out the new shop I had heard about. Great service, family owned, local quality meats including a Grass Fed line...the only thing I can complain about is the shop is in Gilbert and not Surprise! I purchased a beef tenderloin for Easter dinner and, WOW!!! I will drive back just for more - it was by far the BEST tenderloin I have ever had, home cooked or at a restaurant. It required little seasoning (I only used salt, pepper, a little olive oil and some fresh garlic), It was flavorful and tender, and my whole family loved it! I cooked mine med-rare and it was perfect. Andfor those who like it more well done I am confident it would still be tender based on what I experienced. Even my 16yr old who doesnt care for red meat went back for seconds! Seriously the best meat purchase I have made since living in AZ for nearly 19 yrs, and maybe ever! This place is AMAZING! Top quality meats with impeccable customer service. Ive been in several time with some special request and they have always been accommodating and have received the same level of service each time.

Ive interacted with several employees including the owner and theyre an absolute pleasure to work with. They will fulfill special orders and requests if you call ahead and the meat is outstanding. Most things in the shop are local, if not all. I will be buying my meat here as long as they are selling it!

My boys said they wanted to do Korean BBQ so I looked up Gilbert Butchery to get the right cut of ribs. Went in and they were extremely helpful. They asked me how thick I wanted them and I said amateur cut because it was a first for me. Asked them about the marinade and they recommended a Hawaiian sauce that they sold there and they were right, it was amazing! Whole family tore through the ribs, no left overs. Incredible.

We ordered 10 pounds of Polish sausage at the last minute for Easter. They easily accommodated our order and we’re great people to work with. The sausage is absolutely wonderful and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Will definitely be back in the future and hope your grand opening went well.

You can expect to pay more here than at your grocery store, but the owner gives the justification in the reply below. I am sure I will stop in again and hope to see some meats and options that stand out a bit more from the crowd.

I was able to get very high quality beef ribs.Cooked for several hours over apple and pecan wood with only 6-1 formula. Looks like Ill be going to that butcher for a long time. Next time short ribs low and slow.

If I could, I would give this place10000000 stars!! For over 40 years I have been disappointed in the German Rouladen I bought in the United States. Well, this has changed since i bought my Rouladen just before Xmas at the Gilbert butchery. My family and I were amazed of the taste, the size and the flavor, it was the perfect cut for the Rouladen !!! Hands down the BEST ever!!!! Dan and Krista were absolutely the BEST, they listened, cared and were super friendly and kind. YOU HAVE TO GO TO THIS PLACE, I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! We will be back and so will my friends and people I will tell. I am over the moon that we found this place. Little Germany!!!!! THANK you for making our traditional meal so perfect!!!!!

I am never buying my meat from a grocery store ever again, this place had great service it didnt smell like ammonia or other weird chems grocery stores use on their meats. The chicken I bought was juicy and tender and meat its self didnt even have a smell. This place is very fair priced and the meats are absolutely amazing.

Let down, the prices are high.AJ fine foods meat prices are better and they have more variety.At AJs the same exact bacon was $1 cheaper, there hamburger was cheaper with high fat percentage. Dont waste your time going here, very limited on choices to choose from.
