They were friendly, patient, and gave me a reasonable price on some items I wanted to sell. They also have a nice variety of tools, appliances, TVS, jewelry, guitars, you name it.

Bad prices on loans. Unfriendly staff. Also, you cant pay off your loan with a debit card because your loan is in cash, so they send you to their in-store atm, where they make more money off of you. Also the store is sad and dirty looking, even for a pawnshop.

I had a layaway here that I had been paying on faithfully. I was making my payments at the Wornall store because I fractured my foot and it was closer. Well as usual I attempted to make my payment and was told that I couldnt because the layaway was due out and that I need to go to the original store. Well apparently the layaway was canceled. The District Manager called and the layaway was reinstated. He was very professional. Impressed.

Went there recently and was dissatisfied!!! I’ve done business pawn/purchasing with cash America a lot. I used to go to the location on main but Gladstone is closer to me now. Anyways, tried to pawn 6.5 grams of gold and was offered $40 by a heavier set tall white older guy. I’ve pawned the item before and at the least received $100, he absolutely would not up the price from $40. Went to the location on main and was given $125, plus they told me my credit with them was 100% good. I’m confused at how he came up with the offer he did. I feel like he seen me and created an offer based off of his judgement towards me. Will never deal with Gladstone location again, if anything I think they’re scammers. This location runs off of they’re own accord. And the only reason I put 2 stars is because there were a few other workers at the location who did give good service in the past but here recently I’m disgusted and will NEVER go back. If you have something to pawn I’d suggest using any other location but this one.

I have done plenty of business here before, they were always fantastic with me, up until I had Whitney completely hang up on me because I asked about if they had any portable A/C units and what their price was. She told me the cheapest that they had was around $270 for a used unit. I informed her that there were multiple locations nearby selling them for brand new for at least $40 cheaper and she just hung up on me. I then called back just before posting this review giving them a chance to redeem themselves and instead of trying to speak with me appropriately, she just said I dont have time to argue with you about price, to which I was hung up on again. Theyve helped me out in the past when Ive needed to pawn things, but with that kind of customer service over the phone, I myself will no longer go here and conduct business with them.

Zach went out of his way to help me find exactly what I was looking for for christmas and helped me stay on budget too! Staff is so helpful and friendly! 10/10 would recommend going here and will definitely be a repeat customer!!! This is where you want to go for great service and even better deals!!!

I see all these negative comments, but in reality I have NEVER had one single issue with this place they are ALWAYS respectful and looking out for me. My wife and I have been coming her and getting loans and buying stuff from them for the last 7 years with no issues at all and I will ALWAYS recommend this place

This place was great. I have been hauling around old DVDs and Blu Rays for years and decided it was time to get rid of them since I have every movie on digital. I was going to sell all of my movies on the Decluttr app but after talking with these guys they were giving me much much more for all of the movies. It was an easy choice to just take it to them. The guys in there were super friendly and have a great attitude.

I love this place! They are all fun loving and greet each and every customer with a smile. I have been there when theyve been extremely busy dealing with customers in person and on the phone (which can be difficult when the customer wants an itemized list instead of physically coming in) and they have shown every customer the same courtesy. I will continue to do business with them and I recommend them every chance I get.

Not always happy to have to come here, but I think they do a tough job efficiently and as nicely as possible.Some people think that their items are worth new prices and they arent always. Ive seen them be yelled at and cursed just for doing their jobs.Theyve always been fair and helpful to me. If you need a loan I recommend them.

They are lucky that I can not comment on here and give 0 stars😡😡😡 I just purchased a PS4 controller for a pretty nice amount and not even 24 hours into having this thing and it doesnt even work 😡😡😡 I just called them and they put me on hold and I waited and they never picked up. So I call back and they hang up on me didnt even say hello or nothing.

Something that everyone who reads any of the reviews, above or below this, should take into consideration. There are three sides to every story. Yours, theirs, and the truth. Do you not find it ironic, that there is not one single review that states “I was having a bad day” or “I could have handled the situation, between us better.” Just a thought. From my experience, the employees and management at Cash America are simply hard working people, who are trying to make a living. They are human, and as humans they are flawed. But, that in no way detracts from the amount of effort they expend, daily, to try and help people in need. They have always conducted themselves as professionals. I am proud to call myself a customer.

Been shopping with this location since before the tornado. I have bought, sold and pawned guitars, amps, tvs, window a/c units, tools, jewelery, game consoles, games, movies, soundbars, etc. Had an issue with wireless earbuds once and they took care of me.

I used to shop and get pawn loans here relatively regularly for several years. At one point, I was trying to get another loan on a ring that Id purchased from them about 6 yrs prior and the chick told me that my ring was fake! She showed me some kind of test that she did on the metal that made it turn, told me that the diamonds werent real...the whole nine. I was near tears. I told her that this couldnt be possible because this very location sold me that ring AND had given me loans on it before. She was still adamant until she saw that I was about to cry....then she asked me when did I purchase the ring so I gave her the details that I could remember as far as dates. She goes into the back and tells me some story about archived systems and so forth but that shed go ahead and give me the loan. But now, the band was clearly tarnished so I took the loan & never went back. That experience taught me not to ever trust anything that this pawn shop sells. They literally sold me a fake ring for a couple hundred bucks.

At first everyone seemed nice and helpful, but unfortunately theyve sold me an expensive broken item and I was told I needed a warrenty from them to get my money back. At the time of purchase I was told multiple times it was in working condition when they bought it and I was never offered a warranty. Its a shop full of scam artists and I wouldnt go here for a purchase ever again. Nor would I recommend this place to anyone. If you go here youll get lied to and eventually ripped off

I walked in, employee was wating on a person so I waited, 3 other employees helped people before me. The guy I was waiting on seen me and my 4yo grand, waiting he took next person. I asked if I was invisible? He goes well your just standing there what am I supposed to do jump up and down., I said yes waiting on my turn. Rude employees NEVER GO HERE!!!.

This is one of the worst pawn shops that I have ever been to and I frequent pawn shops quite often, the manager there is always completely rude for no reason at all I dont know if shes happy with her life and she takes it out on her customers or what, I really like most of the Cash America Pawns but this one I just cannot force myself to go into because of the manager that is in charge there, several times have I had an unpleasant experience there because of her and I will gladly take my business elsewhere from now on!

Cody and Becky are so awesome and the staff are so friendly they made me feel like I was a friend instead of a customer the service was great they truly put a smile on my face no one in the Pwan shop business is better than this store they are the best your truly Shante the customer they will always come back 🙂

No one wants to pawn their items but for those of us who cant get a loan from a bank thats why they are there. Definitely work with you to help get your items back.

There is a certain staff member by the name of Corey who is rude and condescending. He made my whole group feel stupid when in fact he was the one who was wrong. 1/10, dont go here.

Rude staff, some are okay but Becky was aggressive and mean. Just kept going off on me and told me to shut up when I was complaining they lost my stuff. I caught her lying to me and she kept telling me to stop talking.

I would never do business with this place again I purchased a welder from them that they reassured me worked when I got it home and tried to use it it was broken and they refuse to do anything about it their layaway system is not good at all I had the item on layaway and I missed one payment because my doughterv was in the hospital they told me if you miss a payment the item goes back on the shelf and you lose all money put to it so I had to redo my lay way Id love to leave less than one star.

Took a 1080p 3d optima projector I spent over five hundred dollars on barely used. Said they couldnt do more than a hundred.

Way over priced and some of them are quite rude and make you feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I will never shop there again.
