Usually friendly, greeting staff starting at the Starbucks at the in store station, or in the produce section, the meat counter personnel seem very busy behind their meat case. Everything is good as long as you dont have to return bottles or cans. Youre treated like a headache by customer no service people if 1 of the 2 machines arent working or need to be emptied. If you try to call that group typically the phone rings forever after youve selected customer service from the phone menu, or just disconnects after 8 rings. The floors rarely get cleaned & is so sticky you have to wash the bottom of your shoes when you get home .

Staff are always polite and cheerful. My family had to leave our basket of food to go home and get our wallet we forgot. Because we had dairy and other cold products in our cart the staff put our basket in the cooler for us until we could make it back to pay for our groceries. Ive never had staff offer to keep it in the cooler. GREAT STAFF. great store.

The lady at the Delle breakfast burrito station is the most rude human I have ever witnessed in customer service in all my 21 years of living on this earth and I still dont understand why she is like this. I say good morning I try to be as polite as I possibly can be and she still responds with anger and aggression. I really hope shes not going through something awful in her life but cmon genuine customer service would always be appreciated. I spoke to the manager about this matter and unfortunately nothing has been done or changed.

Dont ever go here expecting to be quick. There are never enough checkers working, so everyone has to wait in 1line. Even during the busy times of the day they never have enough cashiers. The store itself is also really small so if something is on sale, then they dont have anymore. Its usually easier for me to go to anything store then shop here. Long lines are horrible 😫

I been going to Safeway for years a great place to get what you need for one or the family,, very nice people, & they have a pharmacy drop off your pills & go shopping they will let you know when to pit them up,

The experience here does not feel safe, service is slow with one checkout line. Would recommend cleaning/updating and having security at this store.

Breakfast sandwich focaccia with ham was very good but a little dry.

This old motel has been reconditioned every room new carpet new beds all new drapes furniture very reasonable on price $$54 at night plus tax very convenient parking very nice showers hot water forever coffee couple of pots in the morning free ice swimming pool and jacuzzi kitchenettes are really nice and roomy I recommend this hotel thats why I give it a five star.

Worst safeway location i have ever been to.They dont have 90% of the products that other safeways have. I have heard the managers degrading the workers on the floor.I try to avoid this location at all costs.

Sometimes the lines are long. But, I choose here over the other Safeway stores in the area. They always have stock of keto ice cream and 6 self check out registers compared to 3 at the other Safeways.

Safeway always been my favorite grocery store, but the prices are terrible. Employees are so nice and helpful here though.

Did the BottleDrop thing and this is one of only two Safeways where they honor the extra 20%. They were out of stock on several items the website claimed they had, and sold out of quite a few generic staples. Asked a worker where to find something and they were very unhelpful.Otherwise just a normal Safeway, got the rest of my BottleDrop change in cash, and who are we kidding, nobody reads reviews of grocery stores anyway- you go to the closest store, and if you dont like it, go to the next closest. Or, like me, you were doing the BottleDrop thing. Personally it was fine but Im going to go back to getting the credit for Fred Meyer.

Nice people, everything I needed

This store DOES NOT enforce masks, according to store manager Rachel.I tried informing her about a customer who didnt have any kind of face covering. She told me, I could try asking them to put one on, but were not enforcing masks. She didnt say theyre trying their best to enforce it, or anything like that. She told me point-blank that theyre simply not enforcing it. Later, as I was checking out, I overheard her chatting with some customer about vaccines. She said, lol, yeah, I never get the flu shot, so why would I get the COVID shot? Im certainly never coming to this store again if theyre this cavalier about public health.When I called a customer service number to report this, I was told each store has discretion on how (or whether!) to enforce masks. This makes me question whether to ever visit any Safeway or Albertsons ever again. How am I supposed to know whether a particular store is looking out for the health of their customers? I thought basic health and safety measures would be a given, but apparently Albertsons Companies Inc. disagrees.

Normally this is a great store, but they’re getting to where they harass you about wearing a mask. Any time a store is harassing their customers instead of leaving them alone to spend money is pretty lousy customer service as far as I’m concerned.

This is a very convenient place very clean respectable people UPS Western Union very convenient nice people hard to beat the savings especially with the Fred Meyer card and one to four times the fuel points thats why I give it a four star

Check out is always painfully slow if not using self check. Store is aging and could use some updating. Always feels a little sketchy, some security might help.

Safeway in Gladstone is the smallest Safeway in existence! The staff that I have personally interacted with arent all that friendly (With the few rare exceptions).

So, this morning I decided to go to my local Safeway, since I saw a few coupons I could utilize. Everything was going good, until the Manager “Rachel” came up to the cashier, and proceeded to speak about me in a demeaning way... as if I couldn’t hear her say “You need to grab that coupon off the counter, especially when they’re using food stamps and acting so appreciative, ya know what I’m saying.” As she’s laughing and rolling her eyes at me. Thank you Rachel, for making this Safeway the worst one in the state of Oregon. You need to not be working with any people... Perhaps wood, or metal is more your jam, because your service is *Garbage!

TERRIBLE SERVICE. They let us fill our cart with all of our groceries, and we didnt have any masks with us. The woman running the checkout stand yelled at us telling us we couldnt check out without a mask. They didnt supply masks, we forgot ours, and they wouldnt let us buy any to put on!!! So we wasted all this time shopping, and they knew we didnt have masks on, but they wouldnt let us check out. These are the kind of people that dont actually care about COVID-19, they just like to prove their point. We absolutely voluntarily would have put a mask on but they wouldnt even let us purchase any!! Safeway has lost our business! Ruined my day!

Gladstone is my new home. Been living in Oregon City. This safeway is lacking in a lot of Bobs Red Mill products. Small store I understand but maybe they will add more soon.

Great food and great prices, not to mention perfect location, right next to our hotel, Holiday inn express. We have a limit of $15 per person, so we got enough food for work tomorrow and drinks. Hey even the employees were nice and very helpful. Especially for us Hicks from the coast.

I love safeway! The deli food was good and fresh cases were full. And I had been helped right away! The deli employee was really nice! They always seem busy and thats great! This location reminds me of the old school safeways that arent really around anymore lol because they have been remodeled or shut down!

I had ordered a sandwich today from the deli today (6/25 @ 4:50pm - leaving this info cause i didn’t get the young woman’s name that was working) i had asked to leave the ranch of my sandwich and if i could have a side of the chipotle ranch for my sandwich. i didn’t want it on my sandwich because that is my personal preference. the girl making my sandwich was going to do it for me until the one making the chicken told me i wasn’t allowed to have a side and if i wanted a side i could purchase the prepackaged items on the shelf. i thought it was extremely rude and truly made no sense at all seeing as the sandwich i ordered COMES with ranch....

One of the worst grocery stores I have ever been to, which is hard to say because all the employees I have encountered are incredibly nice. They are constantly out of food and have food that is right up against their end date. Just some instances that have occurred in the last couple months:- I have attached a photo of Moldy cheese that was found on 11/29/17 in their cheese aisle.- All their fresh broccoli was infested with frozen cabbage mites, I had to deter customers from buying while I notified the store.- A whole section of eggs with a use by date of the very next day.They do have a solid beer section, which is a plus.Hoping another grocery store comes into Gladstone soon to help push this store to be better.

I walked in to the Gladstone Safeway today and fully 80% of the customers DID NOT have masks!!! Won’t be back. Guess people in OC and Gladstone are immune. Went to West Linn Safeway and just the opposite. Fully 80-90 of the their customers DID. College educated demographic unlike the Gladstone Safeway.

Love the staff but shopping here doesnt feel safe. Very few people wearing masks or obeying 1-way aisles. While I want to support my local store (especially because the staff is wonderful) I am around people who are at an elevated risk when it comes to Covid and I cant risk their lives. Last time I went there I watched several large groups of maskless people go on through the exit only door, ignoring about 5 extremely large signs to do so.

This is in direct conflict with the state and county who both say that we are depending on businesses themselves to protect their customers and our community.Please report this location to [email protected] if you witness similar. They are collecting and following up on complaints of this nature.I witnessed an elderly person in the store today clearly struggling with how to navigate a crowd of rowdy mask-less teenagers. Easy to enter parking lot with plenty of room, pretty much your standard Safeway, Starbucks inside. Has a deli counter and a bakery. I believe there is a U.S. bank inside but Im not sure.It is located just west of I-205 with easy access. Gladstone is a small town and this could be considered the main market (not to insult the smaller stores).Near High Rocks. No parking for swimmers tow zone enforced.

Safeway is my go to place for groceries and this Safeway is legit. Feels like an older building and isn’t as renovated as the last Safeway I regularly frequented, but it’s still Safeway. Staff is nice and helpful. No complaints.
