Honey Bee Diner is an absolutely awesome place! From the second you walk in the door to the second you leave you feel right at home. The atmosphere is inviting, bright and cheerful. The food is amazing we gave Bern here for breakfast numerous times and have always left with a smile on our face and full tummy. Bring your appetite as the portions are huge! The staff is the best! Everyone is friendly and upbeat. They make you feel like family.
Absolutely loved the food, well made. Service was excellent. The atmosphere is fantastic. The staff knew many local customers and the local church was handing out free flower bouquets to women and staff. They let me sit and have coffee for a couple hours while I waited for my car to be repaired nearby.
This was such a great find and the end of our dining experience was truly magical. My new husband and I were seeing some friends, who were going through a lot, and we had such a wonderful breakfast. Everything tasted delicious and our waitress was very attentive. At the end of our meal, while we were leaving, a beautiful gesture happened. A bunch of men brought in these beautiful flowers and told us they gave them to the waitresses as well as the female customers in the restaurant. It was a true surprise and we felt really good leaving. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area who is looking for a fun atmosphere and delightful food!
Our server. Was Dawn she was awesome n the food was great. Enjoyed my meal in a relaxed environment.
Honey Bee has the best food there. I would like to commend all the employees that have waited on us for being so nice as well as, doing a great job on everything. The only thing Id recommend is it could be a little cleaner on the floor where the waitresses and cooks work. With all the food, etc. on the floor, it could be potential for a fall risk as well as, its just not appetizing when youre eating to look at. We love it there and this is definitely NOT meant to be critical. Your head cook is an exceptional cook. Thank you to all the employees that have waited on us, cooks, the checkout woman, and the gentleman that takes drink orders for treating us as customers so well. Have a wonderful day. 🤗
Absolutely love their food. Amazing breakfast food. I honestly can’t say that anything that I’ve got from here was bad. My husband and I have been coming to the Honeybee for 36 years. Loved it the first time and still love it. Best diner food ever!!!
Workers were great! Food not so great. We will try back later on in New Year.
First time going here and it was fantastic. Our waitress was very efficient and kind. She was also quite tentative. Seating was available and self appointed for the most part. Food was your regular dinner fair, however it was delicious. Id highly recommend the country fried steak. Food came out rather quick and not piping hot which I appreciated because now I can dig in instead of scalding my mouth.
We did a togo order, staff was very nice but the food was not giving what it should have. We ordered a few things and didnt like any. Fried oysters were nicely friend but the oysters themselves were bad and mushy. French toast was decent ay best, honey bee Benny was not good, potatoes werent seasons and the been topping were placed upon each other vs being placed on the actual English muffin. Then there was the Philly cheesesteak wrap, it wasnt seasoned so no real flavor at all and one whole side of the wrap was just wrap no meat. No napkins or utensils given . MAYBE it was just an off day but I doubt Id go again
In town visiting with some friends we were looking for nice diner well Honey Bee had great reviews so we thought why not. Well we made the right decision kudos to Ms Shirley our waitress she was AWESOME gave great recommendations, so much food she told us we wouldnt leave hungry and she was right. Everything we had was great. Must check out Honey Bee Diner in Glen Burnie.
They were pretty busy the day that I went, but that didn’t stop our waitress from being friendly, helpful, and giving outstanding service. The food here is SO good. Probably not the best if you want something healthy (they may have healthy options, that’s not why I was there)… but if you’re looking for some hearty, tasty grub, you HAVE to try this place. Also, they have corned beef hash, hallelujah 🙏🏻
I ordered the Meaty and Cheezy Omlette w/Grits and Wheat Toast, EXCELLENT!!! Compliments to the Chef!
What can you say about a place thats open 24/7/365, with great food.
Good breakfast. Waitress was excellent. Very busy and noise level high. Good selection on menu .open 24hours. Right off Richie Highway. Good parking.
This place is what every Diner should be like. Great food, great service, friendly staff, and clean environment. They are newly renovated and open 24/7. There was a wait line when we came, but because of their fast service we only waited for less than 10mins which is very impressive. I recommend this place. This place is something we will definitely go back to specially when we have those late night cravings going on.
Good food after date night with hubby. Went to see Fast & furious 9 then late dinner. Staff was friendly and attentive. The Spanish lady from NY was great loved her personality. Our waitress was on top of our needs also. A little chilly for me so a cup of hot coco helped. Had a really good experience.
I love this place. The food is amazing and comes out quickly and hot, the service is wonderful; they are polite and friendly and the price wont break you. Definitely recommend
Had the breakfast bagel and home fries food was delicious and huge portions. Waitress was friendly, fast and helpful even though it was extremely busy when we came. I highly recommend this place
The food was very delicious and the service was above exceptional. I definitely recommend this restaurant to eat. I will be going back soon to get some more happiness.
Crepes were just stuffed full of sugary compote. A light cream would have been better. Bacon flavor was meh. Looks like they slice it there or get it bulk from a butcher shop since it had thick parts. Orange juice was minute maid. Coffee was average. All in all, not impressed.
The Honey Bee is just a good old fashioned type of diner. The service is friendly and good. The food is sooooo good, I dont think I have ever had such a fluffy waffle like theirs!!!!
This place is so adorable, the food is very tasty, and the service was great. Cindy, our server, took very good care of us and even offered to take our picture. We had 2 orders of Belgium waffles topped with strawberries side of bacon and side of sausage, eggs Benedict crepes with a side of potatoes and onions, 2 banana-nut hot cakes and 2 fried eggs with sausages, potatoes and toast, 4 juices and 1 coffee paid $65. You should come visit when youre in the area.
I have been coming here with my grandparents since I was at least 3. Although the food has changed slightly since then.. its still a good decently priced diner that I will always stop into especially for nostalgia. For littles the pancakes are HUGE (they will love it)
Food is great, service is awesome. The owner is super nice and took care of me when they messed up my order (mistakes happen) thanks for the great food HB!!
I really do love this place, but it loses a star for the food. Some things are hit or miss. The waitresses are really nice and the atmosphere is great. Even though I have it 4/5, I would still recommend this place to anyone who asks.
Awesome place. Been going to the Honey Bee for boco years. Since their original place next to Honey Bee Liquor store.More room now and nice atmosphere as always. If given a chance please go its worth it.
It is very comfortable the waitresses serve well I recommend it
Super place. Good daily specials (they include desert). Competitive prices. Good service. Highly recommend.
I always have a great meal here best breakfast ever very nice waitress cant wait to come back
Food took a long time to come out and was cold. Flies where inside the diner and we where sat at a booth next to a cart filled with dirty dishes and food scraps that attracted more flies. Server was more focused on talking to random people than taking our order or on our food.
My last visit wasnt so great. That has never happened in the 35 years I have been coming here with my family, friends, and knowing family who have worked here. This visit one of the Veterans of this establishment made the food the way I know it has been all of these years. And I didnt even have to ask. She knew and made it so simple.Eggs, scrapple, and an English muffin.Went back a few days ago and the place was absolutely disgustingly dirty. I left.
Great classic Baltimore style joint. Recently updated is some nice new interior looks. Great classic diner foods with a really reasonable price.
Staff is so friendly and pleasant. The food here is like none other. If there is one thing I will miss about the East coast it is that I cant eat here whenever i want to. The pancakes and crepes are where its at and the French Toast with whipped cream and strawberries and vanilla pudding is amazing. We would always order breakfast and just get the french toast and we would all share it as we ate. If you are in the area this place is a must try!
Normally love eating to this place, however, there is a decline in service attitude. My boyfriend and I have experienced two separate occasions where we were COMPLETELY ignored. One particular incident on LABOR DAY, We waited for our hostess to acknowledge us, in which we didn’t have menus…we proceeded to wait 20 mins as she walked past us FIVE times!!!!!! servicing only the two tables in front of us and behind us. It was completely embarrassing, we asked another hostess bussing tables beside us just for some menus and she gave a disgusting attitude as if we were causing her added stress. We are not rude and we understand the place is busy. But the sheer neglect and dismissive attitude is an absolute NO GO. Please do better. Good food shouldn’t be dismissed because of terrible attitudes.
Honey Bee Diner is not an awesome place! From the second you walk in the door to the second you leave you feel overwhelmed and not welcome. It’s not very organized it’s more chaotic than anything. The atmosphere is not inviting, bright but not cheerful. The owner admitted to being an alcoholic during a conversation that we had. The employees are underpaid and overworked.
The food and atmosphere are great. The employees are supper friendly the restaurant is spotlessly clean. The place makes you feel good to eat there. Its a happy place to go. I have been going there for many years.
Food was pretty good . Their hamburger soup is really good if you like soup . The waitress we had was one of the best Ive had .
The food is very good here. The service could be better. Very slow service. I had to flag somebody down every time I needed something.
Ok .. they where very busy ... but it seemed that they have never been busy before. Total chaos . By the time i had my take out got home every thing was cold. ??
The Honey Bee Diner has been around it seems forever. The neon honeycomb decor is delightful its small cozy booths and countertop service have been a standard for years. The food is very tasty Large portions The pancakes actually cover the size of the plate and are absolutely scrumptious. Try the coconut pancakes they are not to be missed on your next visit to the Honey Bee Diner.
The food was absolutely amazing. Tried the place on a whim. Was very well pleased. I’ve been working here in the area for the past week or so and the customer service that Tierra provided to me was just exceptional. Despite how busy she was in restaurant she made sure she was attentive to me and other guests whose tables she waited. She is definitely a star employee in my eyes.
First time there. The food was great. Staff very friendly. Quick service.
Best eggs, grits and potatoes on the planet! Great coffee too! My only complaint is I like real butter, and they serve margarine instead. Maybe have it as an option? Went today for breakfast and they gave us complementary muffins that were yummy! Highly recommend giving it a try. It gets busy so go early!
Excellent service. We loved the bread bowl filled with gravy
Hubby and I go here every week now for our breakfast after our usual local place changed their opening days. The staff is very friendly, fast, food is great, atmosphere is nice, great prices. Very happy to have found this place and recommend to all.
Great little dinner. Super fast service. Good choices of food and good quality.
I came in with a party of six at 12, we didn’t receive ANY food until 2:15! Then the manager told us that she wasn’t responsible for how long it took for us to get our food. The customer service here is absolutely trash!!!!!! Do not spend your money here!!!! The only good thing was the lady who was serving us.
So we have been enjoying Honey Bee Diner food for many many year and never had to compete with how loud the music has been in there lately and telling our waitress our food order. The music was so loud this last time we were there for dinner, it sounded as if we were in a club. Not very enjoyable to have music blaring overhead while trying to eat. Then when asking the lady running the register if it could be turned down, the first time she barely turned it down, and then when I said that it was still way too loud, she gave an attitude about having to turn it down more. She stated, “people did pay to listen to it”. Not good customer service if you ask me!
I really did like this place before new owners took over. Service was not that great and the food was not very great either.
Great service and great food. The only issue I have is Honey Bee Diner need to move to a better location with parking. I waited an entire before I could go to this location to eat because the parking is so horrible.
Was told to have a seat anywhere, and checked the empty tables and they were all dirty. Finally found a table and no one served us or talked to us for 30mins so we just walked out. Not a great way to do business.
That one star was an accident! I went there 2 days in a row!! Your food is great & the service was awesome!! I definitely will be going back! Again I am sorry about that first rating!! I thought I hit the fifth star!!
Great service and good food. Bright clean and inviting.
Food was ok at best. Our waitress was amazing and very attentive, 3 stars based on mediocre quality food.
This place is very good ! We come here all the time very late night. Until we was told to leave if we didn’t want to eat here because we told the cook to wear gloves. We are still in a pandemic ! I have workers there telling me that we shouldn’t eat here because they touch a whole bunch of stuff bare handed while making people’s orders.
Normally I highly recommend this place. Unfortunately I took my father there tonight and had a very unpleasant experience he ordered a shrimp salad and it was those little tiny shrimp from a regular salad and I got a hot chicken wrap which I have been thinking about for over 2 weeks and it look like there was a hair wrapped up in my tortilla so they remade it but after all that you think theyd offer the meal free or discounted nope I ended up getting the new one put in a container to go didnt even get to sit and eat my food because it had already been over an hour. However waitresses were nice and the owner was more then willing to oblige making me a new rap so we still tip the waitress but same price for the food a little disappointed
Stopped in for a late dinner. Waitress was personable, attentive, and joked around with us! We live this place!
The breakfast is never a miss always good fresh cooked with so much experience in very appreciative of that literally years of good food. The Buffalo wings were pretty dang good made to my requested cook request 😋
The owner Nick is the biggest piece of trash I have ever known . He has no respect for his employees or customers. He is a drunk and bitter sad old man . The food is good and they open 24 hours so props to the other employees but the owner needs to be taught a valuable lesson in how to treat people . What goes around comes around
Food is good and service is great. Will enjoy again.
I eat at the Honey Bee at least 3 times a month and I always enjoy the food but this time I was very disappointed in the service I ordered a Reuben with extra corn beef well when I got the plate I went to put salt & pepper on it and one side hardly had any meat at all I even took a picture so I called the waitress back over and showed her she wouldnt say there was no meat on one side of the sandwich I think she was insinuating that I put the meat on the other side their was hardly any meat period so she said they werent gonna charge me for the so called extra meat the food is always good but after experiencing the service I got I will not be ever going back there sadly.
Food was alright. Service was good. Waitress went out of her way to make a big fruit bowl for my daughter. My sister ordered a chicken breakfast wrap and I ordered a western omelette wrap (pictured). The western wrap was half the size of the chicken omelette which the waitress confirmed was normal despite them being similarly priced. Wrap was the size of a frozen burrito.
Waitress was very nice, but food was super slow to come out and wasnt worth the wait. Bacon was either over done or under. Ive been coming here for YEARS and food is really hit or miss.
First time visiting this place and I gotta say Im impressed. Ordered the Crab Benedict along witha side of French Toast to share. Both were full of flavor and would certainly order them again. Place was very busy but we only waited about 10 minutes on a Saturday morning. Our waitress was polite and friendly as well as on top of everything we needed. A+ Diner and Ill be back again.
Honey Bee Diner was a very pleasant experience - the customer service was above and beyond! The only reason I didn’t give them a 5/5 was because some of our food was cold. It was super busy and everything was well done and very good despite being cold. They did reheat our French Toast and remade my daughter’s waffle.
Omg everything is over size portions. Everything that we ordered was good. My daughter is stationed close by (USMC). She took us to her favorite spot and it was. No 5 stars since I cant come back. Lol
Ive been a local with my husband for a while now in Glen Burnie. A lot of small shops like this around here but for one the owner seen and heard his worker spill drinks on my son for being careless. Whole I seen owner and manager talk. Laugh looks over and laugh again. My husband is 100% business and when we conduct any magter its 150%. But there wasnt any apology and the other Spanish worker asked my husband what was wrong. My husband being Spanish and the staff not knowing they had a lot to say as we were waiting 20 min for a drink. My husband laughed and asked the questions of the young worker who spilled the drinks and hes paid under table nno immigration protection so if anyones did something and they claimed to never work there either than lazy owner takes the fall off you have about 20 more out of work dont you? . Just a bad place of business all in all. For accidents to happen and the owner just laugh and not even approach you says everything about your staff and place of work. My husband being young and would outward all of you and your managers and honestly get your to 5 starts. Because even McDonalds is a better option than you. I could care less about the lash but biggest waste of money and time. Go to double t or a McDonalds
Excellent service. Food was hot and the drinks were cold who could ask for more.
All of the food we ordered was good it was packed & the food still came out hot & it was very good. The only problem was when we were seated no one took our order for about 10-15 minutes but 1 of the waitresses noticed we hadnt been attended to & apologized & everything was excellent after that.
I enjoyed the food and atmosphere was nice. Our waitress was very friendly.❤️🐇
Excellent food. You must try the meaty, cheesy omelette. Truly the best! 👍
I have only picked up DoorDash delivery orders from this location. But they are constantly slammed packed so I assume the food is fabulous. But as far as the takeout orders being ready on time they seem to be pretty organized.
Stopped in for a quick breakfast. Their Western omelets are amazing.
The outside could use an update, but the inside more than makes up for it, with a weird mix of old americana diner and modern bee-themed decor that actually works together.
The waitress was very nice and attentive but as for the food my fiance and I order, well it was so salty and didnt taste good at all. The cocktail sauce they gave me was like jello. As in it must of been sitting for a long time to have that consistency. Dont think Ill be back!
Best diner on the East Coast!Hands down.I do miss the old staff tho
The food sucks but its a good place to go after a night of drinking. The service is slow and the cooks never get my eggs right.
An amazing show to watch as they prepare your delicious food. Like a bunch of busy bees at work.
This is a little diner in Glen Burnie, Md, its situated along Richie Hwy. Came here for lunch while having my vehicle serviced at JBA Chevrolet. Great Sixties atmosphere and decor, with a wide variety of food. I had Meatloaf Special, man what a meal. Two large slices of Meatloaf mashed potatoes and a slice of bread all stacked together. Cover with brown gravy and grilled onions. Friendly staff and courteous service.
Great food...kind staff..Love this place! Nert some of the nices people!
Excellent attention to allergies & food intolerances. Good flavors- great hours, wonderful staff!
An absolute staple in my heart for Americana. The staff are friendly but you are expected to know what youd like quickly so they can service you timely and turn the table for the next customer. There is regularly a wait on the weekend for this delicious down to earth spot. I love bringing friends here.
