This is a great, local bike store catering to all types of cyclists. You wont find the pretentious arrogance that one experiences in other bike shops, and youll be treated with respect whether youre buying your first bike or are an avid cyclist. Their staff is knowledgeable, experienced and customer friendly. It may seem miniscule, but I had a cracked valve stem cap when I brought in my bike for a tune up, and when I picked it up, a new cap was in its place. Its an almost superfluous part, but they were compelled to make sure my bike was in great shape.I highly recommend.

I always get my parts here. Mark is really helpful and deligent. I got my bike fit done there as well which fixed my knee pain, saddle pain and made me more comfortable on the bike.

Incredible shop owned by an avid cyclist and mountain biker. Bike Hub has become my go to bike shop for all my cycling needs. Staff goes above and beyond to find the right bike for you. Its important to get a bike sized to you which a lot of people dont realize. Staff is seriously knowledgeable and can assist you no matter if your a roadie, cx, mountain biker or recreational rider. They also have a great selection of bikes and carry quality brands like Cannondale and Rocky Mountain. I couldnt recommend a shop more than BikeHub.

I’m not very mechanical by any means and I’m awful at maintenance... that being said the result was around 6 bikes that needed various level of attention. I reached out to Mark as we have many mutual friends and knew of The Bike Hub as they took over the shop that I used to race for.I don’t live anywhere near close to shop, but Mark was very accommodating and offered pick up and drop off service as my work office wasn’t very far from Glen Ellyn. The first go at it was for two bikes in need of some fairly neglected maintenance and repair. The turnaround was amazingly fast considering the Covid situation and the work was spot on.Fast forward to post rides of the above two bikes... both performed excellent but each needed minor tweaks. After reaching out to Mark (and he knew I had at least 4 more bikes still needing service) he offered Mobile Service at my house! It was a breeze to set up the appointment and he was able to address all 6 bikes in short order!! I had him bring out some parts as well and liked the selection available.I’ll definitely be looking to The Bike Hub for future repairs and am definitely keen on the potential of future weekly shop rides.Thank you Mark and the entire Team!!

Ive purchased two bikes and a high-end fork from Mark at The Bike Hub, and have always had a great experience there. Ill go there despite the shop being a bit out of the way for me.Best aspect is the attitude of Mark and all his staff, which is to say, they dont cop an attitude towards new riders, casual riders, old people who refuse to act their age or people on economy bikes. They are friendly and respectful.The condescension all too common in specialty sports stores of all types is absent here.New staff are just the same as former staff in this regard; I can tell that Mark hires carefully.

Took bike 4 gear adj. 21 speeds, now its wearst than when I first brought it in. Those young boys need to learn to make a fair buck and show integrity in there work. Im an x-motor sargent tell me about it.....

Mark is the man! I came in today fully anticipating having to buy a new bottom bracket for my road bike. Not only did Mark fix my problem on the spot, he showed me how to fix it myself for the future. Brought in my old college bike for a tune up after sitting in the garage for a couple of years. Upon picking it up the bike looked as clean as when I bought it. The mechanics did an excellent job and now it rides like a new bike too. Wylie suggested a new set of tires which where very affordable and totally made the ride smoother on the prairie path where I normally ride. Amazing work and quality. Thank you!

Had to get a new saddle for my bike since the previous one was extremely uncomfortable. Mark got me a new one installed instantly and that to for jus 20 bucks!

This happened today. My husband and I were biking around Glenn Ellyn and his bike broke suddenly. We couldnt get home without it and were really in need of an easy repair. We called in advanced explaining the problem and the guy was very vague about whether he had the right tools to untight the screw that was causing the problem. We decided it was not worth it and hanged up. Then my husband figured out we might be able solve the problem by buying a small part so he approached the guy on the door but again he was unwilling to look for the part since he had to fetch it from an old bike and it was not worth the trouble. My husband asked him if he simply didnt want to help him and he said Yes, I dont want to help you. As we were leaving another customer approched the door hoping to buy a bike and he was welcomed quickly and ready to be served. I understand this are the COVID times, but if bike shops are still consider an essential business they are because they are there to help customers no matter what not only because they are gonna spend a ton of bucks. Very disappointing and kind of sad.

I have been an occasional customer of the Hub, though living in Elmhurst. Often ride the Prairie Path nearby. Have had repairs done on a walk-in basis, and have had two sets of tires replaced over the last couple of years. The shop has excellent service. Very qualified and customer oriented. It is highly recommended!

This is a great place for repairs. They fixed a 39 year old sting ray like new. They fixed my 24 year old Raleigh like new. They have great repair prices and get it done lightning fast. Super great place. Bike prices are really good too.

The best bike shop in the area in my opinion. Theyre always prompt with on the spot service and when I need to leave my bike for a longer time its always done to perfection. Id rather wait for my bike to be done right than to be rushed out the door at a glance. Some people leaving one star reviews are either competitor bashing or just simply rude people who dont belong in the shop. All of the other reviews are glowing and I want to make it clear that this shop stands out among the rest for quality of service and genuine care for your cycling experience. Im new to biking. I visited three shops in one day and ended up buying from Bike hub because they were the only shop kind enough to really help me. I have a rocky mountain bike now that Im proud of and will go out of my way to return to them in the future.

First of all: We really liked the Bike Hub, overall. I grew up in Glen Ellyn and have always loved the downtown area. My husband and I never got a chance to come into this shop before, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. It was clean and had a laid-back feeling to it, which is much different than the other places weve been in.. We popped in a few weeks ago to look around. We havent had a chance to ride our bikes together in a long time so we thought why not . The staff was overall friendly and we talked about our bikes and where we come from . The guy who runs the store was nice and seemed like he really wanted to get to know us, but we had a hard time getting a word in- it felt like he was waiting to speak instead of listening to us, which bugged me (I talked to my husband and he said he didnt notice). Maybe he just had a lot to say, or Im over thinking things a tad. Other than that, it was pleasant .

Excellent service! The rear gears on my old bike were not shifting properly and they suggested a slight tune-up. They fixed the issue, replaced the cable, adjusted the front derailleur too and even cleaned off some grime. Before I left, they topped up the tires.Would recommend The Bike Hub in a heartbeat!

Bought a used gatorskin tire = score, did not have new in stock, new inner tube, and installed for a really reasonable price. Its not an adventure unless something goes wrong. Finally made it to Two Brothers roundhouse later in the day.
