TERRIBLE!!! This WAS NOT a good experience. My cousin is having a 20 year vow renewal and we were looking for dresses.. To start, when we walked in the place was dark and gloomy. No one greeted us. We had to go over to the desk to her. Then she pointed to the screen and told my cousin to register. We started looking for dresses and she told us to make sure we only look at things in the size we need because they dont have any other sizes in the dresses. Then she told us we shouldnt pick more than 10 dresses because we only have 1 to 1.5 hours in our appointment. Who tells a bride to pick a dress in a hour? It took my daughter longer than that to pick her homecoming dress. The sales lady told us she was the only one there. She essentially was UNHELPFUL! The one dress my cousin liked, I dont think was worth it with the service. If your plan is to feel special...DONT GO HERE!!! We had just left Davids Bridal and had a much better experience.

I normally don’t write reviews but this place is HORRIBLE! I don’t know how they are in business. If I could give it a zero I would. The staff is not helpful at all. Was told to come back when I was serious about buying a dress. I would NEVER tell someone to come to this dump.

I came here as the second place trying on dresses. Marianne was quick to assist and was so helpful. After I found my dream dress, which was the first one I put on, Marianne and Jennifer found me the perfect veil! They were both kind, sweet, thoughtful and very knowledgeable! So after we purchased and the months went along, we called to check on it’s status of coming in and everyone was very thorough in checking the status! I did three fittings with a lot of alterations and she was amazing! (I’m sorry I cannot remember her name). I even accidentally left my glasses in the alterations fitting room and called and they put them in the managers office for me to get! Everyone was incredible and I loved my experience here!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

If I could give Zero stars I would. I really didn’t like my experience at the Glen Ellyn location. The customer service was dry and not friendly. They act like they wanted us to hurry up. The manager bluntly said no to seeing a picture that I had of the style of dress I like. Then when I commented on her not wanting to look at the picture she said, “ we don’t sell that dress” ...... in which the purpose of me showing the picture is to show the style of dress I like. Then I had to ask the attendant to get more dresses she think I would look good in because I only seen 2 or 3 dresses in my size I could try on. They only had small size dresses. Everyone isn’t a size 2. On top of that you can’t take pictures which is ridiculous because how would you know how you look in the dress. Looking in the mirror and looking at a picture are two different looks. Taking a picture helps you decide later which dress you look good in. They need to be much more friendlier and helpful to the bride to be. It didn’t feel welcoming.

STAY AWAY FROM AND DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS AND HARD EARNED MONEY TO THE HOUSE OF BRIDES IN GLEN ELLYN!!My Bridal party which consists of 6 of my closest friends and family members ordered their dresses back in January. We were told after the order was sent in that their dresses would be here in late April. April rolled around we gave the store a call and we were told they wouldnt be here until May. We got the same response in May but that theyd be here in June. Here we are in Mid June and they just relayed to us that my order has been misplaced (lost) and that there was no reason to worry because my Wedding in 3 months away. My friends were supposed to get fitted to their Gowns this upcoming August. Now we are sitting here with no dresses and a set of management with VERY POOR customer service skills.IF YOU ARE A BRIDE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE TO A BUSINESS THAT CARES!!

I went here to look for a bridesmaids dress for a friends wedding. They were not very helpful with finding what I was looking for. They were very rude to me most of the time I was in there so after I picked out a dress I left and ordered it from another shop.

We had made an appointment based off of an e-mail promotion I had received and decided to give House of Brides a try. I was not expecting to not only find my dress but also be taken such great care of! We had the pleasure of working with Mary Ann, she not only listened to what I wanted and was looking for but she also made me feel so comfortable, confident and radiant the entire time! She was truly amazing and made my whole experience that much more special!!! She kept it within my price range and not only complimented me in the dresses but also read my expression with each dress and knew by my face the minute I tried on “the one”! I could not be happier with my decision as well as my experience!!

Update - Dresses arrived as promised (after too much stress). I still would not recommend the store for any bridal event.100% HORRIBLE! Was told bridesmaid dresses would be in April, 2021. Then was told bridesmaid dresses would be in by May. Was then told 3 weeks ago dresses were shipped and would be here in a week. 3 weeks later NO dresses!!! Asked owner to sign that if dresses not in by Monday 6/21/21 a full refund would be given. Owner refused! Was told she would guarantee me the dresses would be in on Monday 6/21/21. Also was told 2 weeks ago my daughters headpiece and blusher veil were in. As of today only had the headpiece in the store and NOT the veil!!! Now the owner tells me the veil will be in tomorrow!!! Same dance around for 2 months now! STAY AWAY!!!!

The dresses are gorgeous and the prices are reasonable. The staff was awesome, we were running a little late but we still received a warm welcome. We had a great time looking for my dress and my consultant was very attentive to both my family and myself. The appointment did not take long and we found the perfect dress! I would definitely recommend House of Brides to family and friends.

Everyone here goes over and beyond! The front desk was super friendly and accommodating! I walked in without and appointment and was helped right away. I tried on a couple dresses and I found my dress. After that nowhere else compared to it. I came back a couple times to try it on for my family and get there full approval. Mary was so helpful and made me feel beautiful. She was so patient with me coming in multiple times and accommodating. The other consultants were extremely friendly and helpful. The tailor fixed a strap on the dress that kept falling. The prices are many ranges. I got my dress on sale so I was thrilled about that. I would recommend this place to any bride!

Was truly made to feel like the bridal beauty I should feel like ! Loren was wonderful and so supportive, helped me with venturing out of what I thought I only wanted. She was an absolute doll, made my family and I feel like the main event. I did purchase the dress from her and got a great deal on it. I will highly recommend to all my friends getting ready to do their shopping!! Love! Love! Love!

We had the greatest experience thus far with getting things accomplished for our daughters wedding. Nicole and Jennifer made us all feel comfortable and beautiful. They took such pride in ensuring each one of us had a wonderful time trying in dresses. Thank you both for making the day so much fun. We had a great experience on Thursday, July 18 with the Glen Ellyn staff. We came in without an appointment, and Araceli did a great job accommodating us. She was very courteous and kind with me and my friend while we looked at dresses. She made great suggestions of gowns and showed great patience. Although we did not find anything in that first attempt, we will be back to shop for more gowns. We especially liked that they have a warehouse that you can choose from as well as gowns you can order.

It was my very first stop looking for my wedding dress. I wasnt expecting to find anything, it was suppose to be just looking. Araceli was my wedding consultant and she was absolutely phenomenal. She asked what I wanted, I tried on many different styles and Araceli was there the whole time. She really listened to what I liked and brought me more dresses in that style. She was patient and caring . You can tell making people smile is her passion and she is amazing at what she does. She created a comfortable and fun experience for me. I could not have asked for anyone better. I highly recommend asking for Araceli when making an appointment!

If it wouldn’t have been for both Araceli Jennifer taking care of me during my consultation I don’t think I would’ve found the perfect dress. I went in twice. My first appointment was with Araceli and it was amazing. My mom and I felt so comfortable with her. I loved how she took her time with us and even spoke Spanish during our consultation, made it all even more special because my mom was very involved during the appointment. I fell in love with a dress but want ready to commit yet. Made a second appointment and both Araceli and Jennifer were there. Showed me new dresses but I always kept going back to my first pick. They were both so patient and creative that we even came up with some customization ideas for the dress. I can’t wait for it to arrive and I can’t wait for my wedding day. I will forever be great full to them both for all their help! I am one extremely happy bride!

Had already gone to two locations, and on a whim, my sister and I decided to stop here. So happy we did! Went in and worked with Araceli and had an absolute amazing experience. What I loved about this location is the fact that respected your privacy and allowed me to have my sister help me in the room to dress. When we were just about done, my sister and Araceli found just one more to try on, and low and behold, it was THE dress! Would definitely recommend stopping here and checking them out!

My wedding is only a few months away and I came in to the Glen Ellyn location just looking Araceli my consultant was fabulous!! My first appointment to look at wedding dresses was at House of Brides. I came in just to get an idea of what I was looking for. The manager was beyond helpful in helping me find what I was looking for. To my surprise, the day I went was a sample sale. I ended up getting a dress I would have never been able to afford because it was 50% off! Its perfect in every way and I feel like a princess in it. They even helped out my 9 month pregnant sister in law who lives 1,000 miles away, figure out what size to order. Definitely a very pleasant experience.

I can not be more satisfied with the AMAZING experience I had at House Of Brides Couture. I had ordered a dress online and totally hated it when I received it. Came in very stressed only 3 months to the wedding day. Araceli was my wedding consultant and she went above and beyond to find me the perfect gown for me and my bridesmaids, she worked with us to get everything in on time and we just loved her. After a terrible experience at another boutique, I stopped here on a whim. They squeezed me in without an appointment and I was able to try on some dresses. My consultant was wonderful. The first dress I tried on ended up being my dress! She was truly wonderful and made me feel like a beautiful bride!

I love this place! I didnt realize all the designers they have. We found the best bridesmaid dresses, and they didnt look like the typical bridesmaid dresses you see all the time. Loren helped us find the prettiest sequin dresses, all of my girls loved them! So happy we gave them a shot.

I visited House of Brides Couture in Glen Ellyn for my bridesmaids. Loren was my sales consultant. She showed us amazing dresses and made suggestions as to which styles would work best for my bridesmaids. I have girls from size 4-20 so it was important to find a dress that looked great on everyone. We picked the dress and Loren made the ordering process simple and quick. The manager also checked in with us throughout the appointment. Great experience!

If I could give this place a ZERO I would. !!BRIDES BEWARE!! The owner Donna is a scammer who is a compulsive liar. 50% of our bridesmaid dresses do not fit do to it being 3 sizes too small. She told my sister that Its just a dress when she expressed her concern about why the dresses were ordered wrong. She basically stated that our measurements were off from when we originally got fitted.(that we must have all gained weight) As a gown shop owner you should know that every designer has different sizes and styles that are not standard across the board. Extremely UNPROFESSIONAL the way this owner conducted herself. The owner didnt ever apologize for the mistake they made and blatantly didnt care about it. Stay far away from this place, its a scam for your money.

I just had an amazing wedding dress shopping experience at the House of Brides in Glen Ellyn. After searching numerous bridal shops and not finding anything that I love and dealing with high pressure consultants I decided to just pop in at this store to see what they may have. I am on a budget too because I am a single mom (not for long!) so I asked to see if I can just look around for any sales or off the racks. Araceli my wedding consultant was absolutely fantastic. She welcomed me and made me feel special and helped me choose some gowns in my budget, and that would actually fit my body type. I would absolutely recommend House of Brides Glen Ellyn for anyone looking for wedding dresses!!!

Not once feeling rushed or pressured in to purchasing a dress. If the sample dress wasnt my size, they worked their magic to help me visualize each dress I tried on. I suggest any brides looking for a wedding dress to stop here. They have so many dresses in every style you can imagine and in plus sizes. At some other stores Ive been to, the selection wasnt great and they lacked plus sizes samples! I also liked how I was treated here. I pretty much had a dress picked out at another store but my MOH told me I had to come to House of Brides Couture. She was so right! First their dresses are beautiful! I found a dress similar to the one I picked out but with a more fitted skirt which was way more flattering. But what really impressed is the customer service! I worked with Araceli and the manager Jennifer. I felt like I was with my girlfriends, we had a great time! No pressure at all, they were happy to help me even though i told them up front I had a dress picked out. Im so happy I came here for my dress. Best experience!!!!

This place is a fraud. Know all brides to be not to trust any of their locations. Most reviews are fake and posted by their own employees and they are required to do so by the owner (who happens to be the same as airways never changed management).. if you order your dress you may get a used dress that they will buy online and wash in a machine to clean it to look new. Most employees are very nice and hard working people but the owners are dishonest and take advantage of all brides.

I went to House of Brides after stopping at a chain-type bridal store looking for Bridesmaids dresses. I was SO pleased with the dress selection, customer service and pricing at HOB. The stylists went above and beyond to help us find the dress styles we were looking for. You can absolutely see the difference in dress quality compared to the first, chain-bridal store we stopped at. We did not feel rushed in trying on the dresses and it was just overall a great experience. I highly recommend House of Brides!

I have been to this location twice now and I love Lauren. Shes absolutely the sweetest. Ive shopped with her twice and shes very helpful and friendly. Id definitely go back to this location. Also I felt they had a good variety, they just need larger sizes to give all bridesmaids a chance to try on the dress before purchasing. Lastly my dress came in great time.

It took 6 months for my wedding dress to come in. I ordered it in February 2018 and it didn’t come in until the middle of August 2018, with my wedding being in early October that year. I started calling in July to see where it was at because I was starting to get extremely concerned. They would constantly dodge my calls or feed me the line that “a manager had to check the status and call” me back. Then when the manager was finally in, she fed me the line that the woman who fitted me and helped me purchase my dress that day had to check the status, and she as conveniently not there whenever I called. When it arrived, it was 4 sizes too big for me, despite my measurements being taken. With how long it took them the 1st time to get my dress, I was not going to tell them to take it back and get me the correct size, I just signed for it and got my alterations somewhere else because I did not trust them to do my alterations, especially with just SIX short weeks until my wedding to get my dress completely redone. Luckily I found a miracle worker who was able to take in my dress the 4 sizes and now it’s perfect. Thank you to Magic Touch Alterations in Downers Grove!!! The dress is beautiful, but this place is full of scam artists. I’ve heard from other women that House of Brides ordered their dresses way too big, too, probably so they could overcharge for alterations. Buyer beware and stay away from here! If you just visited and gave them a 5 star review, we’ll see just how much you love them after you wait half a year to get your dress in. They’re a nightmare and I highly recommend going elsewhere.

I’m surprised at the negative reviews. HOB in Glen Ellyn was the first bridal shop I visited, first dress I saw when I walked in I fell in love with. Only tried on four dresses and that (first dress) was it. Mary Ann was a big help. Toni in alterations is fast and does a wonderful job.

No option to leave 0 stars, so I had to leave 1. My sister bought her wedding dress from this store 9 years ago and recommended I give them a try to. So I did! I tried on a dress and thought I really liked it, so I said yes to the dress and put down a deposit of $150. I called the following morning and asked them if I could get a refund because I had knots in my stomach as that dress was nothing like the one I actually wanted and I would have to basically reconstruct the entire thing. I felt horrible that I changed my mind, but it just wasnt the dress for me. They told me no, they could not refund me, but I could have a store credit to get something else. I was fine with that because I knew I could order my sisters maid of honor dress from there! I mentioned to them that I would be calling back in December after she had her baby to set up an arrangement for her to try dresses on. They said sure, no problem! Once December rolled around, I called to use my credit and they told me theres no way for you to get a maid of honor dress for your sister in two months time, its just not possible. I found that hard to believe as the website says 2-8 weeks RUSH delivery as an option to order a dress. After calling to speak with the manager (Jennifer) three times and them telling me she was too busy every time, they blocked my number. Mind you, I was very kind and was just trying to see what my options were. My sister reached out to Jennifer directly via email (they had built a relationship when my sister ordered her wedding dress from House of Brides 9 years ago) and Jennifer sent her a photo of my sisters ONLY OPTION... a floor model dress that looked like it had been run over with a car 4 times and was about 6 sizes too big! She said thats all she could do for my sister with the $150 deposit I put down. I dont know what kind of scam artist shop this place is, but that is just BAD business! My sister kindly said I will just have my sister come in to get a veil from you guys with her credit and I hope you unblock her phone number. Sure enough, after my sister called her out on blocking me, they unblocked my number. I came in (without an appointment) to get my veil and did not mention who I was when I walked in. I picked out the veil I wanted and walked up to the counter with it. Once I told them who I was they looked like a couple of deer in headlights! I came unannounced because I did not want them hiding the only good veils they had. Thats how much of a scam shop I consider this place to be! After I bought my veil, I took a look at the MANY dresses my sister could have bought off the rack directly from their store, either $150 or LESS. I couldnt believe how beautiful some of these dresses were compared to the garbage they told me sister to get. NEVER will I recommend anyone to go to this place. I have had AMAZING people being a part of my big day. All of my vendors are helpful, kind, sweet, reasonable, and honest. This experience with House of Brides, however, is something I wont ever forget and I will forever give them bad feedback if anyone ever asks me about them. If I could give negative stars, I would. You tried to rob me of my money, but you didnt win. Sorry! So glad I never have to deal with you again.

I give this place a 0. Im going to be a bridesmaid in November and we ordered our dresses in May. Its October and they just gave us our dresses. The worst part is that my dress doesnt fit at all. Its like 4 sizes big its a size 16 Im a size 8. BTW the BRIDE still doesnt get her dress!!! I do not recommend this place!

I had a WONDERFUL experience purchasing my dress at House of Brides in Glen Ellyn. I ended up purchasing a clearance dress with the help of Nancy. Nancy assisted us with choosing dresses to try on while respecting my style, helped in the dressing room which made the appointment go much faster, and then truly gave us her opinion and pros and cons of how each dress looked on. We could tell she has an expert eye for wedding dresses with a warm and professional attitude. She was just the best. I couldnt have asked for a better dress shopping experience!!!!!

I LOVED House of Brides. Their selection of dresses was lovely, but their staff were what really blew me away. I felt so welcomed, and they really worked hard to accommodate my budget, which was so kind of them.My consultant was Loren - she was so bubbly and encouraging. Another woman popped in and out with advice and ideas - her name might have been Nancy? - and she was also so very helpful. I did end up buying a dress elsewhere, but I still wanted to leave this place a glowing review because it was just that lovely.

So if I could go back and not use this shop I would. First of all our saleswomen was nice and helpful he name was Araceli she was probably the only positive person in this encounter. So the dress I really liked had stains on it and was discontinued, they offered to steam the dress but any deep stains on the dress would have to be removed by me (this dress is over $1000 and if I’m spending that much money I shouldn’t have to clean stains out of a new dress). I went with another dress and paid $1000 cash to order it. I looked at the dresses for my bridesmaids and they were all very pricey and decided to go with another store that had pretty much the same dresses but for $100 less. This was just me choosing to be more cost efficient for my bridesmaids. So about a week after ordering is when the harassing phone calls started. Automated calls and text messages about sales. Several a week. I had to call twice to get them to stop these messages. This really makes me angry because when I put my number down, it was go pick up my dress not be harassed and solicited sales. I even asked for this not to happen when signing up! So once they stopped, I let it go no issues. So today I get a message from them telling me that my dress is in and they stated I owe more then what my receipt says I owe and tell me it is CASH ONLY! I called in to ask what I need to do and verify that I can put this on my card and the lady on the phone was probably having a bad day because she basically yelled at me saying I should have known it was cash only pickup and “oh well that’s our store policy.” If I knew this I wouldn’t have put the $1000 in cash to begin with! I would have put that portion on my card! Nobody told me this when I purchased my dress! This is not written on the receipt! I verified with the three people I was with that this was not mentioned! So now I have to pay cash that I wasn’t expecting to use which is an inconvenience at this point. I am also curious to find out when I pick up my dress why they are charging me more. My receipt says a different number. (Taxes, shipping and alterations were all included, what are they adding on?) so overall I appreciated our sales lady but this company is not client friendly, tried to sell stained dresses without cleaning them, harasses you with sales calls and messages, doesn’t disclose “cash only” policy and tries to change fees after you already paid. I wouldn’t recommend this company as a whole to anyone after these experiences. -Kelly HI am editing because the response from the store: I went to pick up my dress, the extra charge was for a bag to keep it in which I didn’t ask for. I also looked adamantly for the signage that says that the customer has to pay cash for their final payment, there was no sign anywhere in sight. The receipt said nothing about it, the associate said nothing about it (confirmed by the 4 people I was with), and there are no signs at all in the store about saying this policy. The associate suggested my dress was purchased before new ownership (which would mean the policy wasn’t in place) and that they refuse to honor the policy that was in effect WHEN I PURCHASED MY DRESS! I refuse to have them alter the dress for $400+ after reading the reviews on other sites (which I suggest you do). I have found a place to do it for $150 and it was ready in a week! As stated before, this company is under new ownership and is not customer friendly. I would suggest looking on other sites for reviews since these people all received money off their dress to leave a review ($25) as well

I’ve never written a review before but was extremely disappointed in the experience at House of Brides. When I ordered a dress I had to do it over the phone and was never given a receipt for proof of purchase. They asked for my measurements but never told me what size they would be ordering for me. The dress I received was several sizes too large. I’m extremely frustrated with the customer service and the way the business is run.

Loren is the best!I was here with a bride to try on wedding dresses for the first time. I was a little nervous because the website wasnt very helpful, and when we first walked in it didnt seem like there were a lot of different dresses, and styles, to try on. Everything was lace and beading.We went with a few ideas of what would look good. Loren had other plans. She listened to exactly what the bride liked and didnt like. She understood the bride was on a timeline, and budget. She pulled a few dresses the bride and other guests liked, along with her own picks she thought the bride would like. The bride, never having tried on wedding dress before, was nervous, but Loren made her feel comfortable and made it an enjoyable experience.Dress #1 (Lorens pick) we were so surprised. It was not what the bride went in there thinking she wanted. It was missing one requirement- straps. But she said we could always add straps and gave us an idea of what it would look like. We moved on to the next dress.Dress #2 (Lorens pick) when the bride walked out we all were speechless. It looked amazing! Loren added the veil and a belt, and then the bride was in tears. It was exactly like the Say Yes to the Dress TV show moment. It was on the higher end of her budget, and we still wanted to see other styles.Dress 3-6. were all the brides and guests picks. Nothing could top Lorens pick. They were all beautiful dresses but we kept going back to that second dress.The dress was on the higher end of the budget, so the bride was a bit nervous. Loren never pressured her! The bride decided to put the dress on hold for 24 hours and go to our next appointment at Davids Bridal. (Which was a complete disaster, and really a let down of an experience compared to Loren at HOB).The bride debated overnight and made the call the next day. That was her dress! We showed up to buy the dress, and Loren said Try it on again. Make sure you want this dress. Before the bride even made it out of the dressing room she was in tears again. Loren took a few pictures of the group of us then gave us some space. We had some champagne and purchased the dress. She purchased a sample so left with it that day. She plans to get it altered since she is from out of town.Overall this experience was just like those on Say Yes to the Dress, without the $10,000 price tag. Quality is there compared to another chain store, and is not so small you pay that high-boutique price.

MaryAnn was incredibly helpful. She was great at explaining which areas contained which dresses, helping to guide me to things that I might like and telling me what I needed to know for purchasing and alterations. Their selection wasnt massive, but it had a solid variety of dresses and I was able to find some dress styles that I hadnt seen at other stores.

Best experience I had while looking for my perfect dress. Araceli was my consultant and she was fantastic. My bridesmaid and LOVE her and all the staff.

My experience at HOB was not what I had expected before going in. I found my dress thanks to Araceli! My experience was great and Araceli was patient and very helpful. She knows her stuff! I went in for 2 appointments, the first time I tried on the dress I fell in love but did not make the purchase. I came back the next week and bought the dress! I also went in a 3rd time to purchase a belt and worked with Araceli again. She is the best and will love to work with her in the future. Thanks HOB and Araceli!

Had an appointment at House of Brides Couture. Had no idea what I really wanted and My consultant Mary Ann picked the perfect gown . She was so great and patient, and made my experience perfect. I would recommendher and House of Brides Couture to anyone looking for their perfect gown.

I’m really surprised by all of the bad reviews that I’ve read out here. My experience was absolutely wonderful. Katie was amazing, and Tony our seamstress was wonderful. Everyone that I worked with there was pleasant, our dresses came in on time, and the alterations have been great. I personally recommend this place, I found the dress of my dreams

I just loved Maryann! She found my girls the BEST bridesmaid dresses. I couldnt believe how many there were, I didnt know what to pick, but Maryann did! She found dresses that were good for the different body types of my girls but all came in the exact color I wanted. I cant thank her enough!

I had a great experience buying my bridal gown here. The women working the store are personable and very helpful. The area and the building itself is a little shabby but the quality of the gown was much higher than anticipated and price was right!

We visited the location in Schaumburg and we were greeted with not very nice words, plus they were not very helpful. We went to the Glen Ellyn location where the ladies were extremely helpful! The selection was wonderful and everyone there was genuinely happy for my sister and all the bridesmaids. They also notified us starting 2 months ago when each piece arrived. Great place and fantastic group of ladies!!!!!

I had an AMAZING experience! I worked with Lauren and Nancy to find the perfect wedding dress. They both hand picked gowns based off the styles I wanted. They were super sweet and patient as I tried on 15 different dresses before I decided on the one, They also did an impromptu bridesmaid dress fitting for my out of town bridesmaids that were there. They accommodated my every need an more. It was the full experience with champagne and celebration after I found my dress. Every bride deserves an experience like this! I walked out with my wedding dress right on budget and lovely bridesmaid dresses to match. Make sure to put them on your list you wont be disappointed!

Best place to look for wedding gowns! My consultant Araceli and Jennifer the store manager are absolutely amazing at what they do. I had been looking at other shops and was not happy with the selection and not impressed with the service. Thank you Araceli for making my day.

I went into the House of Brides in Lombard a few weekends ago. And I could not be any happier with my outcome. I went in with my mother and maid of honor and we had a blast picking out dresses and laughing and crying. Maryann helped us and I would recommend asking for her if your planning on going in and looking at dresses.We went in with a certain style in mind but tried on anything that caught any of our eyes while walking up and down the aisles. Maryann allowed my mother and maid of honor to see every dress and offer their input without any hesitation.I walked out of there with my dress picked out and paid for. Maryann even took my initial wedding ate and moved it up about 7 months so that my dress would be here without any problems at all.I’ll be going back with my bridesmaids to get their dresses next. Thanks Maryann and everyone else at House of Brides in Lombard.

Like many of the reviews on here, I would recommend either getting your bridesmaid dresses here a year in advance or lying about your wedding date. My bridesmaid dresses came so close to the wedding date it left little room for alterations. Luckily everything worked out really when and they were super helpful when they realized how stressed it was making me. But I recommend to play it safe if you’re getting anything from here.

This is my second experience with the House of Brides in Glen Ellyn. I had previously purchased my wedding dress here, and it is where my bridesmaids found their dresses the very same day back in 2011. It was a great experience. I was very happy with my initial purchase and all of my fittings. Now I am a bridesmaid and went in only needing to try on dresses before our bride gave us her approval. After an absolutely awful experience at the House of Brides in Schaumburg I wasnt sure what to expect now. However, it was just as I remembered it! There was a huge selection of the specific designer I was looking for. It was bright and clean, and our consultant, Araceli was beyond helpful. She showed me exactly where to find what I was looking for, was right there when I needed help with a dress, and her input on fit and figure was right in line with what I was thinking. She made me feel very comfortable and confident that I found the right dress. Opposite to the experience I had at the Schaumburg location, when I explained I couldnt purchase the dress that day because we had to coordinate with our out-of-state bridesmaids and bride, she was very understanding and not car sales-y and pushy. I will definitely be going back once it is time to actually purchase our dresses.

I had a terrific experience at House of Brides in Glen Ellyn! First, I appreciated that they took me without an appointment (we called spur of the moment after having a terrible experience at Davids Bridal). They had a terrific selection of gowns and the fitting room / viewing area was huge, which nicely accommodated my sisters and nieces that were with me that night. All that said, the most impressive part of me experience was the wonderful staff. My consultant, Mary Ann LaMontozsa was FANTASTIC! She was extremely professional, helpful and personable. She made what seemed like a daunting task fun, easy and productive... I found two dress that I loved (and within my budget!) and returned a few weeks later to narrow it down and place my order! I also brought my bridesmaids back in for their dresses, and again, had a terrific experience that day, and we will be returning soon to order their dresses. Id like to thank Mary Ann and the rest of the staff for their incredible customer service. I have over 20 years of retail experience and managed stores at a district manager level, so I have high standards of customer service and know first hand how challenging it can be to consistently deliver a great client experience, so I applaud this team for their efforts and appreciate all they did to help me with one of the most important parts of planning my special day!

2 weeks before the wedding... still no dresses. First we were told that it will arrive early August. It is now August 9th and no dresses. Then we were told they havent shipped yet. Then we were told that they shipped and they have no tracking info. This place is the WORST. Avoid at all costs.

I wish I could give this place a zero. I ordered a bridesmaid dress on Nov 3, 2018 - I had no choice, the bride chose this place. I was contacted by an employee on Nov 7 saying that the dress will not be ready by the event date. I told the bride, and she chose a different vendor as the event date could not be moved. I asked to cancel the order and get a refund, and the employee said sure, no problem, it will be refunded within 30 business days. It has now been 3 months. I have emailed the employee and customer support every week for the past 3 months. I have messaged them on facebook, called both the local store and the phone listed online - I never get anyone to call me back who can process a refund for me. I have finally filed a complaint against them with the Bureau of Consumer Protection. Let the government deal with this scam. Now that Im reading other reviews, it is apparent that my experience is not rare and this place needs to be shut down.

This was the first store I had gone into, and I had a great experience. The store had a large selection of dresses in different sizes, so I had plenty of different styles of dresses to try on. Maryann was super helpful and encouraged me to try a variety of dresses. She understood my vision and helped me find the perfect dress. Everyone was so positive and encouraging and made me feel special in the dress. They took pictures of my mom and I together, and even gave us champagne to do a toast. My mom was really happy with the experience too. She will be going back to try on MOB dresses.

Same story over and over for house of brides. My dress is lost, and I don’t have a dress for my wedding. I ordered it the beginning of January and was told it would be in by July 24. It came and went with no dress. I had to call countless times before someone would answer and was told that it would come the beginning of August from being delayed. I went in yesterday since it still wasn’t in were I found out from the associate that she couldn’t find my shipping info and only manger would be able to track it down. Shockingly the manager wasn’t there and said the next day will be Saturday when the manager can speak to. Such a disappointment. Look up the court case for all the dresses lost.
