Best grocery store in the area. Huge produce selection, halal meat counter, dynamite hot food selection. Good assortment of unusual foods from all parts of the world, especially robust frozen food assortment with items you cannot find anywhere else. Staff is always friendly and accommodating, hot bar staff especially will cater to your every need. Potato wedges, spinach pie, tamales, and sushi all top notch. Floral department is also delightful with nice big houseplants available.

Absolutely the best store around! I love everything so clean, great selection and they Had the best meat prices. The only thing that is really disappointing is they stopped their own meat products because of lack of employees. This is was the only place I purchased my meat not even Costco. Sadly I’m not sure if it’s worth the trip now😭 Hoping that can change I’ll be waiting.

Pete’s is always a great place to shop. International food selections are particularly great, I just wish the staff would be a bit better about wearing their masks. When you’re handling food, it’s important.

I Like Petes Fresh Market its worth going 20 minutes out of the area to shop there. PetesFresh market is just that no matter what you buy. Its a Big store so it never feels crowded.& that makes for a nice shpping trip.

One of my favorite grocery stores in the area. They have a wonderful selection of fresh food from their produce to their deli. The prices are fair, and its always easy to get to a parking spot. All the employees are extremely helpful.

Great selection of fresh food! Meat and produce is reasonably priced. There are lots things you dont find in other stores. They also have a great wine and liquor section. It can be a little more expensive than Walmart. Also I have the staff is a little less then friendly.

This is a wonderful and clean store. I like it more than any other grocery store. The prices are reasonable, food os so fresh, employees are nice and caring.

The produce here is the best I have seen in a store in a long time. The hot bar and salad bar are a great place to grab a quick lunch or dinner. Very clean. Hand sanitizer and gloves available. They have workers monitor the bars and change out the trays. Ive seen them pull trays that have been out for awhile even though there was still food in them. That (to me) is paying attention to detail.

Shipping and receiving could use some better communication skills.

If you go stop by the grill and try some of Chef Marios Beef Brisket with the Greek sauce, he also has a full menu of sumptuous food selections that are delicious as well as plentiful. This Petes is far better than any other of their locations, its well worth a trip to try their grocery selections as well as freshly prepared foods right off the grill, his steak is better than Red Lobster!

I was looking for one store where I could shop, instead of going to numerous stores. I love this store. I became disillusioned with Mariano’s and refuse to shop there even though it is a few blocks away from me. The difference?…..produce is fresh and well stocked, staff readily available and extremely helpful, a variety of brands and specialty types of foods, I can rely on the basics being there as well as unique food or brands, no self serve checkout lanes, they are eager to order items if there is something you don’t see, i never leave this store having to go somewhere else because they were out, it is clean and bottles of hand sanitizer are located at various places around the store, and awesome prepared food section. This is my go to store now. They care about their customers. Mariano’s has gotten fat too quick, and the novelty has worn off!E

The best buffet in town. A huge variety of meats, salads and drinks. I love going there for lunch whenever I am in the area which is quite often. Salmon is my best dish and I often see it prepared in different ways.meat loaf is another favorite Everything looks good there. I end up buying more than I can eat for lunch and I take the rest with me home for dinner.

Love this Petes! I actually live across the street from the Petes in Wheaton and drive out of my way to come to the Glen Ellyn location! The staff here is so kind, always helpful, they acknowledge you, are attentive to you. It makes going grocery shopping a pleasant experience!

The store itself is an average Petes. For the love of god watch before you cross the parking lot.Big plus is the cafe is amazing! I loved the barista (Ashley). She knows how to make an amazing drink. I wasnt sure what I wanted and after asking a couple questions she figured out EXACTLY what I was craving. I might come back just for the cafe.

I never thought I would say this about a grocery store but its actually amazing here. Im from another major city, Im used to good grocery stores but this is just on another level. They have ten different kinds of everything you want. Full hot bars, European foods and candy, extensive meat selection, there is literally a bar inside of the grocery store that serves pints of good craft beer for 2 dollars. What in the hell even is this place.

Stopped by this location to pickup a few grocery items and decided to get some prepared hot food as well. I got the cabbage roll with ground beef inside. I wasn’t able to enjoy it because soon as I cut into it, I noticed the meat was pink. I had to throw it away. I called the store and spoke to a lady named Diana, who seemed not to care they were selling uncooked food to folks(over talking). Definitely won’t be getting hot food from here anymore.

Well it certainly lots of room for social distancing. Employees are friendly and meats and produce are fresh. I strongly suggest Petes Fresh Market stores for ethnicity products. This grocery store is amazing, so many varieties of fruits, cheeses vegetables. The staff members are very helpful and friendly. The food bar is pricey. If you are looking for a special food item, check with Petes.

I drop by all 3 of the Pete locations (Wheaton & Oakbrook Terrace included) and this Glen Ellyn store has fast become my favorite. Super spacious aisles and great variety of fresh produce. Their meat and fish section is great, a lot of Halal lamb as well.

Ive gotten meat that went rotten the very next day even though the expiration date wasnt for another week. I got prosciutto from here that gave me food poisoning. The cashier was rude and careless with my items. Not shopping here again.

Variety of fruits and vegetables, I like that.But you have be careful about their prices. Their system is out dated. If you don’t check prices while they ringing, you will be ripped off.Most of the time their sales prices and ringing prices are different.This comes under false advertising, join me, we can file complaint in consumer department.

I love Petes mainly for their food bar. Great selection of delicious food, though certainly overpriced. Dont ever load up your container with rice! They charge by weight, so youre better off getting lighter, tastier food like fish and veggies to make the most of your dollar. Their sushi is fine, better than Jewel, not as good as an actual sushi place. Dont get their ramen, its not great....

The Glen Ellyn Petes is still sanitizing carts. The store is very clean and was not crowded at 3 pm on a Friday afternoon. This location has dry-aged beef. The butcher who cut my steaks was very attentive and sweet. Surprised that the self-service salad bar has returned. (Update: Jimmy, review is probably 4.5 stars. I like the store very much, but have noticed employees not properly wearing masks.)

I needed some chocolate covered strawberries and wanted a little white drizzle on them and Patty G. at the bakery was so sweet and had it done exactly how I wanted it and on time when I needed it .. she even gave me a few extra just for me.. she is such a sweet lady and wanting to help in any way that she could !!

Simply love this store and been going there since they opened. They have great selection of halal meats and not only that, they also have halal hot bar. How often do you get to see that? I have had that food and found it very good in taste and quality.

Its very clean and they have a wide variety of pretty much everything. I am giving it 2 stars because there are never enough registers open. Sometimes Im in line for like 15 minutes.
