I come here practically everyday. I love this place! I love calling ahead to get a book i want on hold, i love the Starbucks upstairs i can enjoy at the balcony, i love how the kids section has its own little nook, the customer service is exceptional, the overall layout of the store is comfortable and efficient. The books aren’t even that expensive. Everything is affordable and all books have a unique appearance. They all have beautiful covers and none that I’ve ever gotten have been in bad quality.
Im still a fan of reading real paperback books. Huge store with three levels of books! Youll definitely find what youre looking for here. Also a coffee shop inside. Well organized and always an adventure coming here. I usually come in with a specific title in mind and leave with a few others.
I havent been there since December 2019. Hopefully I get the opportunity to go back, i really miss that whole area and at the store, you have a great view of the main area. The fountain shows after sunset look incredible on the top two floors. I like how spacious it is and i remember spending a long time just looking at all their books. Such a great book store and you have so much going around there too. Stores, restaurants and a movie theater near by.
It was nice to be in Barnes and Nobles. Too many folks with very little social distancing. A father and daughter riding their scooters in place. And one of workers was clearly talking to a patron with no mask! I understand it the patrons right and freedom to not wear a mask but there is an indoor mask ordinance. That made me wary to be in B&N location. I couldnt buy my items fast enough.
Love this place. Always organized and clean. Just a little pricey. Cant go wrong.
Ive found books here for a better deal that I havent been able to find anywhere else. This three story conglomerate of a book store is my MUST go to whenever I visit Glendale
Beautiful place, staff was very knowledgeable and if they didnt have the exact answer, they would look it up on the computer right away.
Clean, well organized book store where you can actually touch and see your books!Huge kids section to look through for the little ones.
Eh, its a Barnes and Noble. Having to travel up three escalators to get to the bulk of the store is annoying. Plus, the employees are annoyed if you ask where something is at in the store.
A very good location inside the Glendale Galleria. The bookstore is spacious, with four floors. Lots of good books to check out. The popular books and videos are on the first floor, near the entrance. It has both escalator and an elevator inside the store. It has a Starbucks at the top floor. Restroom is near the coffee place. It does provide parking validation. Be sure to ask about Barnes and nobles validation before parking, since there are different parking structurea close by. Overall, it is a good place to spend a Saturday afternoon. Lots of childrens books too!
Excellent book store. Very well laid-out, and friendly staff. When they made the announcement saying with the store was closing they said thank you for supporting our store.
One of my favorite places to visit is Barnes and Noble not just for printed books but for items like planners and blank journals. Outdoor patio was closed and no indoor seating due to Covid restrictions. Restrooms are on the third floor and surprisingly had hot water at least in the men’s room. Staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful.
Amazing book store! The biggest Barnes and Noble Ive ever been in. 3 stories tall, plus it absorbed the 3rd stories of the nearby stores so its even bigger! The books might be expensive, but the atmosphere and the quality is unmatched. I recommend everyone to at least go in and gape at the size of the place.
BIG Barnes & Noble, always helpful staff on all levels of this two story Barnes👍
Fun book store. Some stuff is overpriced but they have so much!
Love going to B&N in this area. There are just so many floors to explore and be intrigued by. The staff is always helpful and know what they have. I like working with one person. His name is Matt. He is super friendly and knows everything to help customers get what they are looking for. So next time you go ask for Matt G.
I absolutely love this specific Barnes and Noble due to the fact that their inventory is stocked with most of the items they advertise to sell. Unfortunately, I cant say the same about some of their other nearby locations. This location is located inside The Americana, which is great for shoppers looking to get the most out of their shopping experience. Parking is provided as a free compliment with validation by the cashier, and yes the parking structure is handicap & wheelchair accessible. They have a great selection of many different collectables, books, toys, games, board games, utilities & supplies, magazines, movies, CDs, childrens bookstore with toys, a coffeeshop on the third floor, seating thoughout the entire store, & additional outdoor seating is available also located on the third floor which resembles a big balcony with seating and a view of the inner side of The Americana. If your a fan of Barnes and Noble, then I highly recommend checkin out this store if you havent done so yet! They have a great staff that is well trained in providing great customer service, and will actually help you the best they can in fulfilling your needs one way or another! An awesome place!!!
Its so great to see this bookstore open and alive in Glendale. Courteous staff n knowledgable as well.
Love this place. Love the vibe and location, and wonderful selection on anything you might want to read. Three floors of great books, and customer service.
You can get lost in this place, great variety of books
I just want to say, whoever came to the Americana B&N and bought the last copy of Survive Sunrise by ASG, I want you to know I hate you, but I can’t fault your taste in music. You better enjoy that album.
Relaxing, well stocked, pleasant staff, good coffee
Great service, books and Starbucks always busy
Great store. Good service. Clean restrooms
I approached Kenneth for help and led me straight to the book I needed. Super cool guyThanks Kenneth.
Barnes and Nobles is a nice store to hang out at and read and shop for some books, movies. Some of it is a little on the fully priced side, however. Even though its closed now due to covid, it also had a Starbucks cafe upstairs so you can get your drink if you want it as well. Hopefully itll open back up eventually.
Great as always. The one I used to go to is gone. Havent been to this one in a long time.
Neat, clean, employees are always happy to help and the book/author selection is just enormous👌
I went to the front to get my drink and there was a lovely girl named nicole who was very friendly. she got my drink perfect and was so nice :) she even complimented me and had an overall very fun personality. If i you were you guys, i would give her a raise or promotion because she really deserves it. When i was sitting, she was very friendly and helpful to everyone in line.
Awesome place but The eléctric stairs is down
Very huge and great environment. Small kpop album section tho
Very clean and organized. There is a lot of books and supplies.
I love B&N only this trip was just so, so. Its not B&Ns fault. It was LA Countys rules unfortunately because of covid, but there was no where to sit. Nothing. I saw a few couples sitting on the floor. I always had enjoyed finding a corner table to glance thru and decide what book to purchase
A regular old Barnes and Noble, essentially no different than any other. That said, a couple of things to note: (1) the bathrooms are constantly and consistently dirty. It honestly doesnt seem like they are ever cleaned, (2) regardless how busy the store is it never seems like there is more than one person working the checkouts, and the third floor one is almost never open, and (3) I hate that the kids section, which is mostly why I come here, is located behind the toy section and the gifts section. Its obviously why they do this, but isnt this is supposed to be a book store? Come on. Its hard enough getting a kid to choose some books without have to navigate through a bunch of stuff purposely put there to distract them.
Clean store, helpful staff, fiction section upstairs is pretty unorganized though.
Barnes & Noble is a big well known chain bookstore, its branch at Glendale Americana is a huge 3 story building with thousands of different types of books, magazines, toys, games, music & movies CD or videos, chocolates, bags, candles and lots of other things that you can buy for your self or as a gift. There is also a Cafe on the 3rd floor which is also serving Starbucks products where you can seat read a book and drink your favorite coffee both inside or on the balcony with a nice view of Americanas water fountain.
Great products but service not knowledgeable or nice.
I love this Barnes & Nobles! Great place to get CDs, books and to read. Theirs also a little outside area on the third floor to read. Its a multi story, Barnes and Nobles so I think it might be the biggest Barnes and Nobles I have ever been inside of.
Really Organized and spacious! I would only reccomend making sure they have the book or item youre looking for before browsing, as it may not be in stores.
My nephew makes me bring him to the Barnes & Noble because they have toys.
Clean and great selection of books.
One of the last Barnes in the area. They also validate parking here.
I like to spend time with my kids every time we go to the Barnes and noble they have a lot of varieties of books and also they have a cafeteria
Love this store. Three levels with a wide variety of books, puzzles, misc gifts, holiday cards and a small cafe. However due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Cafe is closed and access is limited to a certain number of patrons at a time.
3 stories of everything you desire!
I love shopping for books...obviously this is a great place to find the latest publications. The mall is gorgeous!!!
Lies! When you go to purchase a book on website it says fee curbside pickup then your confirmation email says “call store when you get here for our curbside” then when you call they say oh we don’t have curbside
The bookstore was fine. But if Im being totally honest I prefer an environment that is culturally diverse and this was not that. I dont think Ill be going back here although the location is pretty and clean it didnt feel very inclusive.
This is a huge book store with a wide selection of books, games, magazines, and DVDs.
Went to Barnes & Noble to purchase a dvd. They had the dvd I requested. Very happy with the purchase, the service was excellent, the wait wasnt long. I went to the one in Glendale, at the Americana. Will definitely come back for more dvds & books.
I was at Barnes and Nobles yesterday getting books for me and my kids, and I got very disappointed the way the employees talk to the costumers. They are rude and don’t make you feel comfortable, .one of the experiences was I had my mask on and at the cashier, the lady training the new cashier told me in a very rude way to cover my nose which is completely my call because I was covering my mouth which is the important part for the other people. I understand they want to follow the “rules” but there are many ways to be kind while asking a costumer to cover their nose. I honestly will get my books from Amazon from now on. Who needs this? and upstairs at book area I was helping my younger to choose her books and she put them on the floor to choose again someone passes and say: “out of the floor” and said we are just choosing and she repeated: “out of the floor”.. I see that the Barnes and Nobles are good at being the police but if you ask for help to find a book and they are not so interested or so motivated as tocorrecting people. Over all I’m disappointed ☹️
It could be a great place if not the rude and mean security workers who just ruin this places reputation.
Magical as always with the fountain view of americana
Just great
Nice to walk through a bookstore again
My favorite Barnes and noble by far. Thank you staff
Loved browsing here and found what I didnt know I was looking for!
Lots of books but looks a little run down
Love the books
I was surprised to find the place open. Looking through the various offerings I began to see an ugly pattern. One employee, a female with short blonde hair was continuing to pop up wherever we looked. She walked around with an arrogant countenance. As we looked through cds she slammed one in front of me into the shelf without an excuse me. She then went back to the register as we were exiting. Is that how you treat all black visitors, assume they are there to steal? I didn’t appreciate being treated like that at all, have never stolen anything.
Great employees and very knowledgeable :) The guy on the entrance is so kind and sweet. Always greetings us with a smile (under his mask haha)
I just love it
The atmosphere in this specific shop is classic. You feel like youre in a book store with people that actually like books. I love coming here to read as much as I come here to buy books. I recommend this place 💯
Barmes and Noble at the Americana is so much fun! 3 levels of books games, blu Rays, toys, and so much more! You will find yourself spending alot of time here everytime you visit! Great job B&N 👍👍👍
The Coffee Barista was Horrible...Not Only was he Rude he didnt get My Coffee Right Either...
I was denied entrance to the store 20 minutes before closing time, by an employee by the name of Eric. And he did let another customer go in 10 minutes after. When I ask him why, he ignored me.
Great bookstore. Payed my first visit last month and I enjoyed my time there. They have a little bit of everything no exaggerations.. its a cool spot to go to and browse around for potential purchases or just to get some coffee nd snacks with some quality conversation
Barnes & Noble is a very good place I wish I could work there but its too far from a young age I loved books and read them. I was one of the fastest readers in my class and had to buy more and more books. B&N solves that problem showing me more and more new series. For example Ive read Percy Jackson for about 8 years now and Im reading all the books the author presents today I just went to look around and saw 2 new books he is presenting. Aru Shah and the song of death and Dragon Pearl. I cant wait to read them both as soon as I can. B&N can always help me find more books and I suggest to everyone that they should check it out
Nice. Like thw bookstore.
They always have what I am looking for!!!!
Clean and safe to visit during COVID-19. Very strictly control and manage the place. Even though woth that restriction, there are few mindless people not wearing mask but their staffs control them by tell them to put their mask on. Good work!
Very well organized
Horrible security staff. Saw an incident of a desperate parent with the security staff on Saturday who didnt let him and his terribly crying toddler to get in, because he was not in the line, though the people in the line were ok with that. Sometimes you need to understand the situation and solve the issue as a human, not as a robot, repeating the same words time after time.
I love Barnes but I wandered the entire store for 40 minutes when it wasnt busy and never got greeted.
I love Barnes and Noble! Its the classic American bookstore to cozy in a corner and escape in a good book. Its also nice for reading fresh magazines. I love that they have a fun and interactive kids section that encourages book reading. Its also nice that they have the Starbucks inside for that warm smell, hot cocoa, treats, and socializing. On the 2nd or 3rd floor, theres an outdoor patio with a beautiful view of the Americana trolley, green and fountain. All in all Barnes & Noble is an American classic. Who doesnt love a good book? Its the perfect place to connect with the art of writing and publishing.
Really good selection of books. Even their graphic novels (Comics) are a good selection. I mostly buy my comic books there. There is even a cafe there, with many tasty snacks and drinks. Even the service is great!
Love it! This is a humongous store! Pretty much any book you could imagine is in here. Love to walk around and look at new titles. They also have a GREAT kids area where you can spend hours with your kid. The Starbucks also has Cheesecake Factory cheesecake and delicious quiche!
No longer anywhere to sit. When uh oi are in a bookstore, there shoUK ld be seating areas spread apart.
Always great to visit and stop by Barnes & Noble the only thing noticed well coming here it wasnt organized like you would expect it. There should be more setting around so you could read book before making a decision to purchase a few books. Glad there was a variety of books to chose from. Also good to see there a coffee shop inside as well greeting cards and great find of other materials to read as well.
Loved the three level layout of the store. It was easy to move around and I appreciated the seating area on the second level, which allows you to sit comfortably while sorting through final book choices. Cafe on third level is another reason to visit. Pure bliss in a world of books... I love it!
On 20th of June, I went to Americana with my 3 year old son, and when we were passing by the Barnes and Noble he wanted to go inside ( he loves that place ), but there was a waiting line. When I tried to stand in the line my kid started crying and didn’t let me do that. I asked the people in the line if they let me in and they said ok, but the security worker ( a woman) said I need to stand in the line and when I said “Don’t you see my son is crying for already 2 min in front of you and doesn’t let me do that? “ She said: “Are you able to control him inside the store?” If the child is crying just to get inside, will he cry when he is inside? Stupid question and not logic. The other security (another woman) approached at the same time and said they would not let me in. I was forced to leave with my son in tears. Will never come back to this store!!!
Great location and the Americana is a great location.
The young ladies at the 1st floor register were so much help on Tuesday evening! I was looking for some gold bookends, and they made sure to find them. Woo hoo, now my office section looks more organized 😉
I have been here a couple.of times. I have browsed through the store thoroughly and I was able to find all sorts of books of all interest. The employees there seem to be very nice and very helpful for whatever book that you are trying to find. I would come here again if I need to pick up a good job.
