Maria was awful. I went in needing a hem on my wedding dress and besides her place being filthy, she has no manners. I put on my wedding dress and when I asked her to zip me up (I was really proud because I ordered my dress 2 sizes smaller and lost weight and it fits perfectly), she told me I “needed to lay off the French fries”. I have never been so humiliated in my life. When I left telling her I was going to look around and compare prices she decided to mention it a second time before I walked out the door. I will never give her my business.

Please read: went here a few weeks ago for my wedding dress because I thought the reviews looked good. Maria was nice and caring, but her business practices are shady. She only accepts cash and her prices are not set or clearly listed. She charged me $200 for basic hemming. I decided to go elsewhere for my bustle because she couldn’t give me a set price. Her bustle pricing was anywhere from $120-150+ I would definitely avoid Ale Maria. When I questioned her about her pricing, she then proceeded to show me her bills. Very unprofessional.I went to Q tailor and she did an amazing job, was fast, and only cost $80.

She is wonderful and so helpful. Dropped my wedding dress off Tuesday this week and it will be ready by Saturday. Cant wait to see the results!

Maria has done several alterations for me. I have always been very pleased with her work. From her comments and feedback on my questions I can tell she knows her stuff. She is very personable and gets the work done as promised. I dont know how pricing goes on this type of work but the pricing seems like it could be on the high side but the work is always high quality. I will keep going back.

Absolutely wonderful experience! What a lifesaver! This blessing of a woman altered my bridesmaids dresses with phenomenal quality, in a way only an experienced seamstress/tailor would know, saved me money, and even added cups for the young girls for a better fit. By the way, all in less than 24 hours with no up charge! What an awesome experience. Highly recommend based on quality, professionalism, friendliness, speed, prices, and experience.

Excellent! I just now got home with my newly-hemmed pants. I called ahead to ask for an estimate and a turnaround time (had originally asked for them next-day ... no problem she said). However, once I got there, I decided to ask if I could have them done while I wait; and she gladly accommodated me. Yes, the price was double for same-day ... but even at double the price it was still about the same, and in some cases even less than the price of some of the tailors I called (total cost was $32 for same-day instead of $16). Very friendly and professional. And even though shes further away from me than some of the other local tailors, I will be making the trip to return here for my future tailoring needs, and will be recommending all my friends to Ale Maria.

I find some of these reviews hilarious. The job of a tailor is to construct or alter any garment of clothing. You as a customer have to know what is ideal for you. Dont kid yourself. If you bring a pair of jeans, slacks, suits and/or dresses know what you are getting yourself into. The more you ask, the more you pay. Very simple.Maria, if you are ever reading this, I thank you so much in helping me feel the best I can present myself with your expertise. I am 51 and weigh about 140lbs so because of my height, buying clothes off the rack made-to-fit is impossible to find except for jeans and slacks. Its easy but when it comes to dress shirts and jackets she helped explain why it would cost too much and how changing just length of sleeves or width of the torso would throw off the overall look of the outfit. I am working on a budget and just simply buying clothes off the rack never fit me. I have to get tailored. The best advice was giving me the length I needed to look for in shirts and just save the money instead of buying a $20.00 shirt from Kohls or Walmart and trying to spend $60.00+ I might as well find the closest fit to the proportion of my body. Plus cheaper clothes are made with cheaper fabric.My point is, if you buy something off the rack at Walmart, Target, H&M or wherever ask yourself, am I really saving money buying something cheap and getting it tailored only to be worn several times before the clothing starts to wear off from the cheap material companies use to make a profit? No, and Maria will tell you that because she cares and knows what is worth spending. Spend the extra money, know what fabric was used and if you need it tailored, be realistic.Heres a tip, anything 100% fabric is easier to work on than a mix of different synthetics and fabric. Buy from reputable brands and always do your research. Always expect the best for yourself. Maria can help you. Shes affordable and if you are on a budget, listen to her.

The woman Maria made my Fiancé cry and told her she needs to lose weight to look good in her dress. She went on and on about the dress isn’t for her and ugly and Bullied her to no end. This is customer service?Stay far away from here. The world needs fun friendly people leading up to a wedding day. Not another Bully that projects negative comments. She hasn’t stopped crying for 6 hours. Hope you feel good when you read this Maria. Just disgusting!!!

Maria was SO helpful!! Had a crisis situation where I needed a bridesmaid dress hemmed because the original tailor bailed five days before the wedding with nothing done. Maria did a gorgeous job with beautiful stitching. Not to mention she was very friendly :) AND she got my dress back to me within two days. Ale Maria is AMAZING!!! She altered my wedding gown and also added a rhinestone trim to my dress to make it exactly what o wanted!! Ale Maria is so easy to work with and genuinely cares about her customers! She has did all the alterations for my bridesmaids and also did all the dresses for a friend of mines wedding. She can do alterations so quickly and is so reasonably priced! I recommend her to all of my friends!!

Tailors are difficult to find as it is, so, when you find one that has the knowledge and expertise like Maria does, you go to her, and then you tell the world about her so they will experience what a great tailor can do. Maria learned her trade from her grandmother, and I assume her mother as well, and not only does she have insane expertise, but hold a Bachelors degree in, I believe, art and design. In short, she knows what shes doing. She quotes a fair price commensurate with the difficulty of the job; she completes the alterations when she says she will, and, beyond that, every time I see her, she absolutely cracks me up with her wry sense of humor. Most people dont take the time to go to a tailor; thus, they have no idea how much of a difference it can make to the way you dress and appear to the world. Maria makes that possible. She has my highest recommendation.

Maria is such a gem. She does a phenomenal job and is always quick to turn garments around. My favorite thing about her, though, is her telling me not to waste the money having her tear up a bunch of stitching for minor alterations on cheap garments.She always has the customer in mind. Use her!

I just went in to get a simple hem done on a dress and she wanted an astronomical amount.$25.00 is not reasonable at all!! I could almost buy the dress again for that amount. Dont go hereif you value your money. If you have money to burn then this place is for you. I could only imaginewhat she would charge for anything associated with wedding stuff. my goodness. Maria did a beautiful job on my wedding dress alterations. The bustle and hem were impeccable and she was so friendly and helpful. I spent a month trying to find someone I trusted and with only a month left before the wedding she had it done in no time! Will Definetly be going back for a bridesmaid dress in September. I called for an estimate for custom work. Maria asked me to stop by to show a photo of what I was looking for. When I went to her shop, she was rude an demeaning. Not only did she know what I was asking for, she personally owned the item. She wouldnt offer a rough estimate and kept telling me to order from China. I love supporting small business in the US and wanted something CUSTOM - thats why I went to her. I ended up going elsewhere. I cant rate on her quality of work, but her listening skills and how she interacts with potential clients is needing improvement. Zero stars.

Owner was very knowledgeable and friendly. Tailored a suit for me to make it much more fitted. I didnt have a rush for the suit, so I didnt ask her to do it quickly, but it was still done within a week. Thanks!

If you appreciate fine clothing and want it to fit correctly, Ale Maria is your tailor. If you want a chopped hem and a waist that isn’t consistent with the drapes of your trousers, go to your dry cleaner.

She earned one star for giving an outrageous quote- $110.00 for a $20.00 dress- fabric provided by the potential customer. Instead she had the nerve to give advice over someone’s body- like weight loss. Bye lady!

I went there when i ordered scrub pants for work and they were too long. Maria is very nice, she is quick and the hem looked better than the original. She is such a sweet lady and she takes her work and quality very seriously. GO HERE

I needed a skirt and a pair of pants taken in at the waist and they were both PERFECT. She did such a great job; Im in love with the quality and look of the work. Fast and reasonably priced, I will definitely be back in the future.

A little spendy, but the quality of work is well worth it. Went in to get a rip fixed on a denim vest and though it was more than I anticipated and she took cash only, the stitch work done to fix came out better than the original. I am satisfied.

Only one star because I had to to leave rating. She told me a simple hem w the original hem was $30. I thought about it for a second and realized I had never EVER paid that much for a hem before. I politely said, no thanks and left. Now after reading reviews, I’m hoping that she quoted me for same day service. But not at any time did she even ask me if that’s what I wanted.. I’m so confused. I’m 4’11 and been getting jeans hemmed fo the past 20 years for $15 or even less??? Foh.. $30
