Really a great shopping experience. I was looking for some Pokemon card packs as party favors for my sons birthday party. Figured the kids could hangout eat a little pizza and just go around showing off their new cards and trade and play. Which ended up being a great idea!The problem though was that I didnt know anything about the card sets. Which set the kids might be more into.The workers totally took the time to take me through the different sets, what the kids might be more into and why. Took the time to put me through Pokemon school 😄 which, as a parent is priceless. Its nice to understand what youre kids are into.They took the time to help me find what I really needed.It also looked like they have a giant selection of boardgames! And Im sure they would take the time to help you find whats right for youI would definitely recommend throwing your business their way, plus its local!! Which is always nice😊

Very helpful staff asked if I needed any help right away as I walked in and then checked in on me again before I selected what I wanted. One of the workers also saved me money by letting me know I grabbed the wrong product and that they didnt have the actual one I meant to grab. Amazing environment, probably the best place to get any table top game in the area.

Ive been looking for a local store for a little bit now since moving to Milwaukee from Chicago. I know that this is technically a chain, but the hometown feel I get when walking in outshines that small detail. Im more of a hobby painter, and the store is always stocked for that. Its never short on paints or figures. And they keep adding more every visit! Lots of well knowledged staff, and Ive had good experiences. Just recently went in with a gift card and Ian helped me with my purchase. A mistake had been made, but he was extremely professional and friendly! Because of this Ive found my new sforever store!

Wonderful spot! Stocked up on a couple Catan expansions and they had a vast array of chess boards. Lots of great Harry Potter / LOTR / Star Wars variants of games.They have taken all the usual COVID mitigations (masks reqd/worn, limited capacity) and he even went above & beyond with having lots of pens for receipts so no two customers were using the same one in the same day. Great job creating a safe environment!

I went to grab a cribbage board and they had a huge selection of them. Then I wondered around the store looking at the myriad of games they stock. Good place to go if youre hosting a game night.

I purchased a gift card, which was a more complicated than normal process because of the pandemic protocols. I was first assisted by Sarah, who was crystal clear in explaining options and guiding me through the process. I really appreciated how gracious she was about my limited internet expertise. Later I was assisted by Gordon, who made two calls to my home to ensure I had received an email.The level of customer service was outstanding; I would rate BGB at six stars if I could.

They told me to place an order online despite being at the store then I could pick it up. Then after I ordered the game they told me it would be shipped and would arrive within an hour. An hour later of sitting in the car waiting I called back to learn it would be there within another 45 minutes. Cancelled my order. Worst COVID shopping experience. Maybe have what is available at the respective stores displayed on the website.

I absolutely love this place, its such a shame that they literally have been closed due to COVID-19. This make absolutely no sense...they say they will reopen when there is a vaccine but by that time it will either be a modified strain or a new virus thus making the vaccine potentially irrelevant. Just have people use common sense when entering...just like every other business. You have employees that need to work and games that could be selling. I mean I get it you believe you are doing good but listen...this isnt going away and there will always be some new virus or sickess just like the flu. Absolutely sad the Greenfield location closed because of the silly guidelines and milestones that were established. Just have people wash hands, wear masks and use sanitizer...keep distance and limit entry... dont let this business fail...its such a gem for the area

Best (and only?) Friendly Local Gaming Store around, every time I go in there my biggest regret is I dont have more money to throw at them.Free-play days have helped me purchase and find several future purchases for games, their miniatures selection is understandably limited but still provided all my needs.

The store was fine. The cashiers didnt seem so nice. But we got what wanted and left.

Ive gone into the store acting like a complete know-it-all jackass and the employees still treat me courteously and well. Theyre a wealth of knowledge and possess great listening skills - thats the sort of customer service that earns people raises. They have a spectacular team. If youre new to gaming, want expansions on previous purchases, or just to kill some time while looking for novel games to play, youd be going to the right place.

Want a place to play games, visit Board Game Barrister! I mostly go to this location, but all there locations have tons of events, and Im sure you can find something for everyone to play. You can also earn points when you buy stuff at the store, that can be used to play games for free!

Ive gone to this board game before but customer support this time around was bad. While checking out I asked if Catacombs Conquest was an expansion to Catacombs since I wasnt sure and it would suck to only buy an add-on to a new game. One of the workers said that it was an expansion, she was wrong. I bothers me that the person checking me out didnt say anything and the other worker was misinformed or lied to me.

From the dinky little store on K.K. ten years ago to this is amazing. Of the three BGB stores, this is the largest with the most complete selection. (I suspect this is the largest game store in Wisconsin.) They carry everything from games to puzzles to Legos. The games range from inexpensive classic games (Chess, Go, etc.) to the latest from Hasbro and the world of Eurogames. (Note: they carry some first class Chess sets as well as some other expensive editions.) There is a play area that is used for events and tournaments though you can make arrangements to access the area for personal games. No other store has as complete a selection. The store is easy to access for the handicapped though parking in Bay Shore can be a problem. It is worth the trip.
