Larry is very kind and very generous. I went in to get an E string on my violin and he was very helpful, trying to teach me how to tune. He joked around a lot but made us very comfortable. His store is simply amazing, all those instruments it was very fascinating. My younger brother got candy and a small stuffed animal, a monkey from him as a gift, all for free. He also put some kind of oil on my strings and when my mom offered to buy it, he said very truthfully that that kind of money was not needed for the oil, that any time we needed it, we could come down and he would help us. Highly recommend this place, never been to such a friendly helpful store in a very long time.

Shopping for a nice guitar for my 8 year old grand daughter. Larry Larson music store had a large selection, and were very nice, helpful, with friendly prices. Purchased a very nice sounding accustic guitar, and case for around $800, to $900. Am planning to buy more from these good people!!!

I was looking for drum lessons in Glendale when I came across this store. It had great reviews, which were very encouraging, and the website also stated that they taught drum lessons. And so, I made an appointment with John James, their drum instructor, and I was very pleased with the results. John was very nice, laidback, and encouraging. He has many many years of experience with teaching and so is very patient with his students. I would highly recommend John James for anyone in Glendale who wishes to learn drums. He is an excellent teacher.

Larry Larson Music Store is special because they care about musicians. But the biggest plus is their musical instruction, especially drum instructor JOHN JAMES. Mr. James is a patient teacher with a world class wealth of knowledge. Whether you are a beginner or a pro, I cannot recommend him enough!

I have been going to Larrys store since I was a kid, now I bring my kids there. They have all sorts of instruments and the knowledge on how to play them. If you need something new or fixed or to rent, or need lessons, this is your place.

Best music store in town :) Larry is fantastic - he offers an amazing assortment of all things musical, plus fun non-musical things that make for great eye candy and create an overall interesting and wonderful place to browse. I brought my 5 year old daughter along and she left with a few gifts from him: he played his accordian for us, which was incredible! (and offered a disc of his music when I asked if he had any accordian music I could buy...his disc is awesome btw, a truly gifted player), he also played the banjo for us when I told him I was interested in the banjo ukes, and he gave my daughter a cute little pink stuffed poodle :) Im not sure if the woman that worked there was his wife, but she was also really helpful and hands off at the same time. You wont find a store like this too often anymore, a dying breed. Go visit, buy your instruments/strings/drumsticks/music books here! You will be glad you did.
