Honest Auto Repair!Yep, dont see those words together often, but Brian Wood Auto is!!!!!!!!!Jim was amazing and helpful. Told me upfront it would be a couple of days to get to my truck. Updated me on the time frame and it was done as promised.

Had to drive to Glendora for a medical appt from Pasadena and the days was hot. After i parked my car, i noticed coolant leaking. I am freaking out. How am i going to get home?!I did a internet search and Brian Wood automotive was literally around the corner.They said i would have to leave my car overnight and i was like God Nooooo!!!! They then had theirmechanic Jake give it a once theu and noticed it was overfilled coolant that was the caused of the leak.I felt stupid cause i overfilled. They charged me nothing but i had to tip Jake for the peace of mind that my car was in good shape.

This place is steller! Brian Wood was able to fix my truck for around $130. I originally didnt pass smog and was told that I needed a new catalytic converter and other places quoted $1000 to $1500. Turns out I didnt need a new catalytic converter at all. My mom referred me here, its where she goes. Great people, professional and kind. Im stoked to find an honest mechanic. I definitley recomend.

Brian Wood hits another home run! Wife had a flat tire and we needed it fixed ASAP to get to her moms cancer treatment. The exact tire arrived in minutes and they were fast to fix it. THANK YOU! Jim and all the people who work there have been so professional and kind. They have kept her 15+ yr old Audi in great shape and are always honest about what has to be done and what she doesnt need to spend her money on at the moment. Like many other people I have been going to Brian Woods for decades. Their honesty and competency are outstanding, second to none. Their prices are reasonable, not low ball but what it really costs. Unlike dealers they will search for the problem generally at no cost to the owner. But their willingness to handle my emergency situations are outstanding and inestimable - check under my car for a strange noise barely 2 minutes before they completely lock the doors on a Saturday, repair a tire losing air even though the crew is at lunch, etc. That level of support is found only at truly exceptional facilities. Oh, and like other reviewers state, Jim is one nice superhuman being!

STAY AWAY!Dropped off my vehicle for a simple oil change with Mobil 1 Full Synthetic. Simple enough right? No!I received a phone call and was continuously trying to be sold on some off brand of oil that Ive never heard of before. (Im sure they make a margin$$) After about the 4th time of me saying I wanted Mobil 1 Full Synthetic, the message was received. (Or maybe they just agreed with me to shut me up) Anyway they said it was going to cost a little extra and I was fine with that.I received another phone call soon after and it was explained to me that it was going to cost me $105 for Mobil 1, removing my tires, checking all fluids, belts, etc.... I was never told during this phone call that there was any other option besides a full service.I paid my bill and moved on from this fiasco, hoping to give them a second shot. They were extremely friendly so I figured a second chance was deserved.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I got back from my business trip and found 1/2 qt to 1 full qt on my garage floor. The oil pan plug was only partially screwed on. This lack of detail is not what I want in my mechanic.Brian Wood Automotive may not have horrible mechanics, but they sure as hell DO NOT have great mechanics. Oil changes are the simplest mechanical maintenance and screwing that up is ridiculous.

Honest! I had been to several local shops concerning an oil leak. Every other shop I had been to was recommending engine reseal which I knew was wrong, I decided to bring it to this location and am very glad I did. They called me to ask if I could come down so that they could show me what was going on. Being a mechanic by trade this made me very happy because they actually took the time to show to me and explain like a professional shop should do. It turns out all that was leaking was the oil pan drain plug. I am very pleased with this shop and its honesty and professionalism and prices are comparable. However considering they properly diagnosed the problem the repair was considerably cheaper. Thank you Brian Wood Automotive

Check Engine light on, some mechanic shop wanted to charge $1000 to fix. I brought it to Brian Wood for second opinion. Brian Wood fixed for $173.50. No Check Engine light on and I passed SMOG. BRIAN WOOD all the way!
