Amazing donuts, didnt go in time for the strawberry ones but we got the pumpkin cream filled donut and oh my God it was good! Not too sweet but also didnt take away from the delicious donut! Amazing with a cup of joe! Always worth the late night drive for me!

There is a reason why this is on many best of lists here and throughout the U.S. The strawberry donut is $5.00, and it is so worth it! It can feed two people. There is a good balance between the sweetness of the strawberries and the raised glazed donut that holds them.My wife and I also tried the lemon-filled and apple-filled donuts. They were excellent! They had the right amount of filling.This is the original location, but for those who live closer to Downtown Los Angeles, there is another location inside Grand Central Market.These donuts are worth the drive!

Folks Im a repeat customer to famous spot just a few miles from my home Town, its the gotta try it type craving once you see it or, when the word gets to you on how delicious this shop makes their donuts, theyre famous for their fruit stuffed donuts, depending on the season, the pictures I provided show peach 🍑 filled donuts, my personal faves are the strawberry filled and tigers tail. Atmosphere is friendly, there a couple very small benches on the side of the building so its basically just to sit while youre in line, everyone seems to grab and go. Its cash only but there is an ATM on site.

Donuts are soooo good. I went there about 9:45, line with 10 people, mostly college and young adults who probably go to Citrus, some older people there too. 5 employees there doing various things. Everyone got served at a reasonable pace.One minor thing, which might be not so good to someone else who has not worked in customer service before, is that I asked for the seasonal donuts (Pumpkin Cream)🎃 and they told me they only have Bavarian. So I ordered that. Then the person next to me ordered some and they got it. So I had to ask if they could give me the Pumpkin Cream 🍦 instead. Employee changed my order. But then I had to wait 20 minutes for them to get done.I get that working at such a popular store is stressful, but more communication wouldve been great. They couldve let me know that I would have to wait beforehand. That was not very professional. However, employee was nice, didnt have an additude and corrected my order more than once.

Has been featured on the Cooking Channel, Food Network, Today Show, YouTube and many other food and cooking shows. The world famous Strawberry Donut is made seasonally from February to September, when Strawberries are in season. If the Strawberry Donuts arent available, the usual donut choices are available like; chocolate, glazed, maple, sprinkled, sugar coated and donut holes. Fancy donuts also are available; various fruit filled donuts, apple fritter, cinnamon roll, dragon tail and (the famous) strawberry donut.When I was young and stupid (riding a motorcycle in Los Angeles). We would travel here to eat donuts for dinner, because they were open late (I did say... I was young and stupid). Although I cant eat as many Strawberry Donuts when I was younger, they are as I remember in my youth... delicious. Yes, these Strawberry Donuts are ridiculously large.

The BEST Donuts I have ever freaking tasted!!!!! I tried that really BIG Donut that has the fresh Strawberries and got full off of one! The wait time is long but they do accept debit, credit cards and cash with the cashier. I live in Highland Park near Pasadena and came all the way over here just for some Donuts, 100% worth the drive! Ill be back soon for more!

Always delicious, fresh baked and consistent. The location is on route 66. There is a small parking lot just past the line of customers or you can park on the street. No public restroom but they do have an ATM and accept cards too.

Came to see the hype surrounding this 24 hour donut place, got an assorted dozen donuts and the famous strawberry donut. Their plain donuts were average to above average, their bars were above average, their devils food and tiger tail donuts were excellent. The strawberry donut Im underwhelmed cause I had high expectations. Presentation was great, flavor was disappointingly mild, texture was a great contrast of fluffy donut and firm strawberries.So basically get devils food and tiger tail

A world famous donut shack what could go wrong? Other than the 20 minute wait and other patrons feeling “crowded” 🤷‍♂️ by our kids it was a success all fried up! We went here for a birthday stop and got the famous strawberry donut 🍩🍓 along with some other classics! The potato flour dough was awesome and all the donuts had a homemade taste rather than the same tasting donuts you get at all the other mass produced places. Weekday afternoons can save you a 45 min wait.👍

I wanted a bear claw, at 9am they were out. Happened to be in the neighborhood at 6am, stopped by for a bear claw. NONE at 6am, I asked when do they have them, I was told when they bake them.It is a 24 hr place, the menu has a great list of donuts, they just dont have the donuts.It could be the Covid factor, not enough employees. This place is popular. It doesnt matter the time of day, prepare to wait. If you are craving donuts, these are definitely worth the wait. For peach lovers, the peach donut was amazingly delicious! Its in season now. Aside from being tasty, they are larger than the average donut. Unfortunately its no longer strawberry season and I didnt get an opportunity try their famous strawberry donut. The staff is very professional, patient and friendly. I met a person who came all the from Barstow to Glendora just for the donuts . Thats how good they are. I used to buy donuts here before it became popular. In my opinion its over rated and over priced. I dont get waiting an hour in line for a $5 donut. Obviously Im in the minority as its very popular and trendy.

Always a treat and totally worth the drive and long lines once you arrive. The seasonal peach and strawberry filled donuts are a must try, truly a specialty. Our favorites are the tiger tails, Apple fritters, bear claws, and the cream cheese donuts. And the Bavarian cream. And the French crullers. Try anything, you can’t go wrong.

Love this place. It was my first stop coming into LA from riding across the country. I was so excited to try this place. Tons of good reviews and word of mouth was very positive. I went with my go to. The two donuts that to me, are basic and easy to get right. I use them as a barometer. If a donut spot cant make a good maple bar or glazed, the two most basic of donuts, what are they doing?The maple bar was dense, oily and tasted like oil and various fruits. I couldnt finish it. Thats how horrible it was. I tried the glazed and it was edible but nothing amazing, oily like the maple bar but not as dense.Ill never waste time with them again.

The fresh strawberry donuts are good but a little expensive. Bought a dozen total to get the 10% discount but only got less than a dollar discounted. Its a rip off. Not worth the money, I can buy a whole pie for the price of two donuts...

Every week we try to do something different and since we were heading up towards LA for an event we decided to stop by this amazing donut shop that my brother took us to a few years back The Donut Man! Weve had their famous strawberry donuts and the peach of course but my all-time favorite are the tiger tails and the old fashion donuts (chocolate, plain, and glazed) anything you choose you will not regret, there are no bad choices when it comes to the Donut Man. It gets busy and the donuts are fresh so if you are looking for something in particular (like an apple fritter or filled) then be sure to show up early. We took luck of the draw and ended up with a huge box of donuts to bring home to San Diego. The staff was great, friendly, nice, and helpful. They heard where we traveled from and packed our strawberries in a cup and donut separate so it would make the ride home (and it was delicious!). Michael who helped us was so nice and smiles the whole time we were there (poor guy, even with all the donuts we ordered). Donuts and staff here do not disappoint. Make sure to swing by if Im the Glendora area or even if you arent, make sure you make the trip! It is so worth it!!!

I love the Strawberry Donut (seasonal), tiger tail, and chocolate cruller. Their cake donuts are a bit rich for me, but thats personal preference. Worth a visit if youre in the area!

We visited this place after a short hike at Big Dalton. Line was not too bad for a holiday. We got the strawberry donut $5 and the tiger tail. There were not too sweet. The strawberries were so big and fresh. I think I enjoyed the strawberries more than the donuts. They do accept credit cards. Parking is in the back which could get crowded. They take covid precautions pretty serious, at least the guy that was taking orders. He reminded the people behind us to keep a safe distance. Much appreciated.

Once you have The Donut Man, its difficult to go back to anything else. All 🍩 shaped objects just dont satisfy the same craving.If you live in SoCal, you owe it to yourself to come here at least once to try it.This location is open 24hrs, only closing for certain holidays or events. Last year (autumn 2020) they were closed because of the wildfires in the Angeles National Forest. Theyre going to be closed for a little bit during Easter. But I can guarantee with 95% confidence that you can catch them while theyre open!Everything off them menu is a superstar! The dough is so fluffy and light. It isnt oozing with oil or overly sweet glaze. Their seasonal picks are a must get! The strawberry donut is amazing, although they are a little on the pricy side. It makes up for it with the overwhelming freshness of the strawberries and the fluffy glazed donut! Because this location is always busy, the donuts are always going to be fresh!

Okay. Let me preface this by saying it KILLS me to leave this review. Hubby and I have been customers of donut man for a long time. Over a decade.They had such amazing donuts and superior customer service.However, since this business has been sold (I think around two years ago) it isn’t the same. Formulations have changed. They no longer answer their phones so you can’t place phone orders.I mean I used to phone in a $200 order of donuts once a month.Originally, I thought most of the issues were related to covid, but after having a good friend apply for a job we realized quickly it was management.I really do hope they can right their ship. They have been such a long standing business in our community and featured all over the world.

Great selection and seasonal strawberry and peach try the Tiger tail and some coffee or a milk. Lines can get long so stop if you dont see one.

We drive all the way from DTLA just for those Strawberry donuts and the Fresh sugar donuts. Here n there we get some stale or hard ones but rarely. For the most part its all delicious and really good variety. Specially their seasobal Strawberry donut thats just the best hands down 🥰 My husband loves the tigertails and also likes the plain glazed donuts. On cold days they even offer free coffee. The only thing I would recommend this business is that they enforce the distancing a bit more during this pandemic. Came a couple times these last couple of years during pandemic n it never really felt safe distancing wise. Ppl were always so close and never really respected the 6 feet apart. So Id really appreciate this. There was always long lines but bc its understandable not many can be working inside. Although it does seem a lot of work for 1 or 2 ppl to handle the long lines to be honest. Grateful they were open during pandemic just had those two things to say to let other customers know they can expect a long wait and no social distancing unfortunately. Perhaps chk w Google maps or call ahead to have an idea of the wait time and see if it wont b too crowded when u go. 😉 btw they made my Strawberry donuts fresh! U guys r the best 👌

Even though the line is long, the service is fast. The strawberries in the donut were cooked to perfection. Not soggy or too sweet. The folding of the tiger tail in this box wasnt my favorite, but it was still yummy!

Love coming here to get my donuts. Be aware there is always a line Evey time we go. Sometimes long sometimes short. You can pay cash or card. There is an ATM located outside.

Heres a picture of them cutting the donuts fresh. The tiger tails are sooo long they bended to put it in the box! The donuts are fluffy and have sponge cake like quality not greasy or gooey (other than the fruit or maple frosting which is naturally gooey and tasty.

A disappointing visit. Its been a couple of years since Ive been to The Donut Man, but a group of friends and I used to go about once every month. This visit, we were in line for 45 minutes, even though the line only went around to the back of the building. In the past, my friends and I were in line all the way to the back of the parking lot and it didnt take nearly as long to get to the order window. Once there last night, we found that many of the regular items were absent, including their famous Tiger Tails. They only had one employee working the window, and he was slower than molasses. Furthermore, while in the middle of filling our order, he kept stopping, turning around to other employees working in the back, and chatting with them about things unrelated to work. At one point I got a little frustrated and said look, weve been in line a long time and need to get going. Could you please finish our order? Anyway, The Donut Man is normally a great place, despite long lines, but this was just not a good night there.

It was our first time, me and my love drove all the way from Ladera Ranch just for these donuts. My brother from Philippines told me about it and tag me on my Facebook. So.. I got curious and we drove 53 miles from south. You can park at the back of the donut man or across the street. They are 24 hours, i wont recommend to go there after 10am because at this summer season its already 111°F, you dont want to stand up and line up for at least 30 to an hour. Donuts are fresh what I like is that they are not that sweet, fruits are fresh, together they are balanced. I think youll get 10% discount when you buy a dozen. Overall, its a nice experience, I personally like it. I do recommend the strawberry, peach, apple glazed donuts (seasonal) and also the tiger tail. Make sure you ask for forks and napkins because its kinda messy and also wet wipes. Thank you and have a good experience...

Amazing donuts!!We waited in line for about 20 minutes on a Friday evening but it was so worth it.I tried the chocolate glazed donut and the strawberry. Both were awesome. These are big donuts! And the dough is somehow soft and crunchy. The strawberry donut has some sweet syrupy glaze on it which was a little too sweet for me (could only eat half of it). I’d still recommend giving it a try though - a very unique donut!Great service too!

I have visited the Donut man more times then I can count. The quality has always been top notch over the last 15 years that my grandmother has been putting them in front of me. I recently waited 30 minutes for a half dozen donuts and it was totally worth it.

First off, they Dont have strawberry donuts now because theyre not in season, but the good news is they will be in season in August. I tried the peach and it was good. The peaches were fresh and the donut was sightly sweetened as to not overpower the peaches. The tiger tail was just ok. The wait was 30 so I probably wont be back.

Went during s busy time, there was quite a long line. Met a lot of really nice people. One family in particular the Mother immigrated from Taiwan, the daughter a nurse and the son a medical student... all commented on how thankful they were to be in America. Pray for Taiwan. This place was great! Every time I go to LA and we’re headed home, my friend and I try to stop at different donut shops and I bring them to my students. This place had such a fun selection and all of the employees were so so helpful. There was a girl there, I cannottt remember her name but she helped us out so much and I appreciate her! It was an hour wait, but when all your favorites are fresh and ready it seems like it’s all worth it. This donut shop is famous for their fresh strawberry donuts. Its been listed as one of Jonathan Golds must eat foods before you die for good reason. Its sweet. Its messy. Bring wet wipes or eat with a fork. My personal favorite is the tiger tail (cinnamon twist with glaze), especially when its fresh and hot!

If you havent you MUST. Seasonal strawberry and peach doughnuts are local favorites. There is pretty much always a small line. To GO only. no seating. Very minimal parking behind building. Best to find a spot on street.

I’m not sure if my review will help much since I usually just get the tiger tail but here it goes. The dough they use for the doughnuts has this ductility about them that makes it so satisfying. The flavors are good, but the thing that makes this place is really the ductility of the dough. When you bite into the doughnut, it doesn’t easily give. It has a solidity about it that makes it stand out. If you want to try this place, you can go at anytime really.

Super loaded with fresh strawberries. It doesnt taste as sweet as you think it would be. Just enough sugar to feel refreshing. The cinnamon buns are huge. They are great when they came out straight from the oven.

When i left, there were about 10 people after me. ONE window opened for service and the gentleman was in no hurry to serve us. 2 people left because they couldnt wait. Thats a generous 1 Star.

Donut man in Glendora, open 24hrs, known for their fresh strawberry and peach filled donuts. Strawberries were ripe and juicy donut was delicious and not too sweet. Tiger tail and maple bar and eclair seemed to be supersized or sharing size, perfect with their fresh cup of coffee.

The doughnuts are a solid good. I dont think its worth the wait to be honest, we went for the hype and a little disappointed it hasnt got the wow factor I was expecting. Sweetness is balanced well, I had the peach filled which honestly tasted like the peach you get in the syrup cans (the worst kind of fruit to eat!).

The best donuts you will get on historic Route 66. I love the roasted ram to the left of the donut shop. Parking is not the best on the right hand side at the gym. Park to the left parking lot so there is no problems with the neighboring gym. Great donuts
