They did the clutch on my Toyota 4Runner and got it done extremely fast, with the lowest quote I could find in the valley (about half what the dealership quoted, and even further below another shop I called in Aspen, which wont even resurface the flywheel). National Transmission did a perfect job. Solid engagement and feels like brand new. Really pleasant and prompt customer service as well. Thank you, I dont normally do reviews but felt it was the least I could do, my highest recommendation.

Update:As expected Sarah and Joel worked very hard to get my truck back to me within just a few days. This saved me big since I was hauling a full trailer and needed to get back to work on Monday. They were very particular with getting things right. They spent extra time flushing metal out of my transmission cooler which would have been easy step to skip without my knowledge. I don’t even think they billed me for the added labor to be honest. I did have to come back for an issue with the shift cable a few days later. They were on top of it. A big thing for me is they didn’t act like it was an inconvenience to them that I came back and they handled it very professionally and were done within an hour or so. Having been in the industry I grade shops based on how they handle work that comes back to them. Couldn’t have gone better. A+ from me. I instantaneously knew I was working with knowledgeable professionals. I called just before closing and they arranged for parking for my truck and trailer. They talked to me about possible upgraded transmission and they had one available immediately. I am posting this review before the work has been performed as I have never had such an incredible first impression. To top it off their price quote was absolutely reasonable considering the massive convenience of timing and availability of parts and labor. Very much looking forward to the final result.

E4OD RV trans mostly failed at Meeker, made it coasting mostly to Rifle, N.T. picked up RV on giant flatbed and took it to Glenwood, needed a full rebuild. One step inside and I knew these were total transmission geeks :) Id rebuilt a C4 years ago and they showed me all the things that needed to be done on the E4OD. Ran perfectly 4 years later with the shift kit they also put in for long trips and mountain climbs.

I am still in shock. I had my Jeep towed from Meeker unbeknownst to National while they were on vacation. The day they got back Joel not only looked at, but fixed my transmission.What my local shop told me was going to be a $3200 fix turned out to be less than $300 repair with National.I cant express how grateful I am to Joel and Sarah for saving my old beloved Jeep from the scrap yard and me thousands of dollars.My highest of recommendations.

I was referred by a mechanic out of Carbondale. Upon entering I was greeted with smiles from a doggy and tiny toddler and friendly staff. Three minutes later a technician was listening to my concerns and driving my car around the block and getting it onto the mechanic bay. Ten minutes after that he ordered me an air filter. Another test drive and I was back on the road. Very professional and very kind people work here. Highly recommended.

I was recommended them by a family friend and have been trying to get a hold of them during business hours and even left a Voice-mail a while back. My transmission leaked all the fluid out somehow after they replaced it 2 years ago and now it is trashed and need to get replaced again for 2600 more dollars. I have been happy with service and recommended multiple friends use them and now I cant get a call back. Just makes me sad because how does that happen on a 2 year old transmission like that... idk

I had my. truck towed from eagle to Glenwood because they quoted me a better rate. They ended up keeping my truck for almost a month and I ended up paying more that I would have if I had just kept my truck at Kiwi Auto Repair in Eagle. national Transmission did not call me once the entire time they had my truck to give me an estimate or timeframe for the repairs....I suggest American Transmission if you in need a decent service. Very dissatisfied with their service.

Had a shot transmission on a 11 Wrangler. They rebuilt the entire transmission and when I drove home it was running rough. They ordered me a brand new one put it in at no extra cost and the car runs fantastic. Great customer service and super friendly to do business with.

Sarah and Joel were amazingly helpful. I had an issue with a transmission that they installed a few months earlier, and they went above and beyond to honor their warranty and make sure that the issue was resolved. I would go back any day, hopefully I wont need to.

I was told we have your transmission in stock by Joel.Then a week later the office lady tells me it’s being rebuilt.I drive it about 200 miles and it dies in Canyon City on Christmas Eve with a suburban full of luggage, gifts, wife, dog...We have to walk 3 miles to a uhaul rental place because you can’t find a car to rent on Christmas Eve.Then we returned then rental van the day after Christmas and have to rent a car to get back to Avon.Then two weeks later we have to go back to Canyon City to get our car.Maybe you get good service in if you live in Glenwood.He told me he “had to replace the pump”.Wow, but he charged me for a new transmission.I wouldn’t believe any of these good reviews.Keep looking.I should have contested the charges but had other things going on.Despicable lies and deceit.Keep looking

2008 GMC was stuck in 4Lo and also wouldnt shift out of 1st. Thought it was going to be major. Joel and his team found the motor and sensor that was bad. Fixed and back to me the next day. Would recommend this place any day! Thanks!

06 Dodge Ram was rolled off transport vehicle with broken transmissionlinkage, At 0830 on a FRIDAY I left truck with Joel and Connie knowingthey were very busy. Didnt expect it fixed before the following Tuesday. At1600 hrs. the SAME DAY it was fixed better than New. I would give them 6stars if I could. Be respectful of their time and circumstance, dont expectmiracles and they will be fair and professional with you. reasonably priced TOO!!!

I was on a cross country road trip with a friend of mine and we had the luck of breaking down pretty close to this shop and let me tell ya we couldnt have picked a better spot to break down or a better shop to have help us out. They were kind, understanding, and professional. Their prices are fair and their hospitality rivaled the folks at a small town shop my family had gone to since I was a kid. Trust me these folks will take care of you Joel and his crew are good people.

Very professional, experienced, and considerate of an unfortunate time line. They had our transmission rebuilt in two days with parts delivered from Denver and stayed late when he parts showed up after 5pm to get our family out the door by checkout in the morning. Joel who owns and runs National Transmission has been working on your cars and trucks for the last 20 years at this location. If you want a shop that is going to be very honest with you, you have come to the right place. They will sell you a spring kit when the other guy puts in a whole new transmission. With a lifetime of experience you could not find a better place to have your car or truck worked on. Joel is a Glenwood Spring local, and a great person to work with. His drive is to make you happy, you cant go wrong. I just had National put in my new transmission, and felt I got the best service and a place to go if anything happens.

These guys fixed our truck and saved our hunt. They even printed off our deer tags for us.

So I messed up with a self diagnosis of the issue with my car. I mean I went the whole gammet with some co-workers and we swore we had the issue pinpointed. The car I have is not easy to find replacement parts even in Denver let alone for any shop in the mountains. I wanted to be able to help National Transmission by having the parts beforehand so I didnt waste their time and space by waiting for the parts once I got my car down there. Well... I was wrong and my car did take up their space and time for a week. They were very accommodating and even though I didnt set them up for success they were extremely helpful, fair priced and extremely friendly! Thank you to all!

Would give no stars if I could. Do yourself a favor and shop around for anyone else that can help you with your transmission. My car broke down on the interstate and when it was discovered that it was my transmission, the mechanic I was working with, transferred my car to National Transmission. When I was finally contacted by N.T. days later, I was told that my transmission would have to be completely replaced.Because I dont live in Glenwood Springs, I decided to pick up my car and get it closer to where I live. When I called to let N.T. know my plan, I was told they never picked up my car to take it to their shop. In essence, they NEVER did a proper diagnosis of my car! If I had taken their professional suggestion, I would be out $5000. Do not trust this place, they are not honest!

The head guy here Joel wanted to charge me double for a leak that I had, I got the work done for half of their quote. He also tried to tell me since he had it on the rack he was going to do the work, basically trying not to give me an option. Guy was very rude. Dont trust this place, go elsewhere.
