Great Vegetarian options! We ordered the Rte 127 and the Willow, both were excellent. Pictured is the Willow, could have been a little lighter on the hummus but still great and filled with colorful veggies. Inside is a little chaotic, but I was able to pick up some other goodies for a picnic. Will definitely be back.

Stopped in for sandwiches for the beach. Outstanding eats! The homemade brownies and cookies were also delicious. The amazing variety of knickknacks was also really fun. Picked up some solid stocking-stuffers, too. Its June. Highly recommend.

Charming country store meets delicious breakfast/lunch spot. Grab yourself a seat outside or inside. The tables are sprinkled in amongst the groceries. Only negative was the temperature. It was very hot and stuffy inside. More fans or AC would be nice!

Great little deli with some fresh produce, local products, and fresh meals.The only negative was that the cashiers were clearly swamped and had a tough time handling the volume, but a little patience goes a long way, and even that didn’t take away from the quality of the experience.

I reached out to Willow Rest to prepare a to go order for my production team of 19 people and they exceeded my expectations. Not only was the food ready on time and delicious but it was well labeled and neatly packaged.If I am ever in the area again I will absolutely return.

Quirky place which is either a small grocer with a restaurant and bakery built in or the other way around. Fun and full of little treasures. The real prize here however are the sandwiches. Absolutely mouth watering. If you like meat and are very hungry the Cuban will undoubtedly satisfy you. A personal favorite of mine is the Under the Bridge, flavorful crab cakes with fresh veggies and nice sauce. Light and bright. Cant wait be be back to try heaps more.

What a treat every time I go to this restaurant! Their paninis are wonderful, my favorite is essentially a tuna melt. It has avocado on it and is served on the most delicious foccacia. They have a great selection of market items, fresh vegetables and oddly enough I always find the coolest chips there! Love that they have local artists sell their work there as well, it adds a cozy community feel.

One of my favorite breakfast places in town! Also the perfect resource for local produce and healthy treats especially if you are having a few friends over for a glass of wine later and need a tasty appetizer. Great selection, carefully edited, always delicious!

Great place for breakfast and lunch, happy helpful staff and kid friendly. Sit down dinning and take away breakfast are best. Also has some light grocery options, but they are priced high as this is one of the last stops out of town.

Delicious sandwiches. Call ahead or prepare to wait a bit at busy times (like summer weekends). They have a cute market and you can eat-in as well.We have been a few times and Im a huge fan of the Rotary. Yum!

Fantastic place for high quality food, old renovated gas station that also has a great small market for vegetables, cheeses, nick-nacks and a decent deli section. Service is very friendly, but food is a little slow, RECOMMEND ORDER IN ADVANCE!

I just want to say that often I dine at other restaurants in Gloucester and other nearby towns and am usually disappointed. Ive only been here a few times but I plan to change that. Im always in Gloucester so theres no excuse. Great tasting food!! Lots of unique choices and a very unique place itself! Keep up the great work. See you soon!!

Ive been going to the willow rest for over 2 decades Ive seen it change owners and morph into new businesses. I can happily say the willow rest is in its best form yet. Wether your shopping for fresh organic food, getting a quality coffee in the morning, or stopping in for breakfast or lunch; youll find an atmosphere you can help but enjoy and food that will have you coming back again and again!

Not knowing what to expect walking through the doors of this charming little shop, it was a pleasant surprise. Its a bit of a general store down the road from the hospital.Hardwood floors, layout and atmosphere that captures the essence that is Gloucester, carrying the feel of coastal New England towns. Of course, not here to shop, here to pick up some food and coffee.If I remember correctly, they carry Atomic Café coffee (really good North Shore brand coffee) and picked out a delicious dark roast. Didnt require much sugar, full bodied without being very bitter at all. Excellent cup o Joe. I had ordered ahead because I had work, decided on the Rt. 127 (tomato, mozzarella, balsamic vinegar, lettuce on ciabatta bread) and grabbed a local brand of crisps. The sandwich was satisfying and quite filling. The other sandwiches look very good.The cashier was a lovely young lady, very sweet and everyone seems so pleasant at this shop. Theres breakfast served here too, Id like to take my wife up to this little shop for breakfast.

It was my birthday, so my friend drove us to Gloucester to be in the outdoors, albeit the cold outdoors. We walked along a beach and then to some galleries to look around at lovely artists works. Then we drove around and she brought us to Willow Restaurant. What a great place. They had a really healthy menu to choose from and also groceries and art and jewelry, etc. from local artists. I actually had a burger with shitake mushrooms and gouda cheese. I hadnt had a burger in a very long time, so if I were going to give in to one, this was the place to do it. It was excellent. I made sure to tell the chef, who was very appreciative. Everyone there was quite lovely and friendly. It was obvious that the locals enjoyed it. I know we did. :)

Awesome super fresh offerings available here. A great menu to choose from that covers breakfast and lunch. Daily specials are definitely something to check out. My favorite though is still the focaccia breads. Big thick slabs of herbed dough slathered in cheese and other things: really really good. Plan ahead of you want to get a focaccia though, they go quickly. The store part of willow rest also has a large selection of dry goods, fresh produce, beverages, candy and other ephemera to show you came to Gloucester. This place is a go to for great food and also fun gift shipping visits
