I bought my CPO Cooper S from this dealer with the help of Erik. The entire process was smooth which was nice since im from out of state. A few weeks later I decided I needed to spice it up and make it mine. I had Motorwerks order the JCW brake kit, wheels and JCW tuning kit with the valvetronic exhaust. I had Michelle as a Motoring Advisor and the car was completed on time. It only leaves me wondering if 208HP is fun whats a factory JCW car feel like with all those extra ponies.

In April bought a car from Westside VW, I have brought it in 3 times since then. I needed to take it to Motorwerks Mini for warranty work that they were not able to fix but did tell me they would take my car for a trade in (knowing the issues I have had with it). I had a really good experience purchasing a vehicle from Motorwerks Mini in Golden Valley, MN. I spoke with Yvonne C. about the vehicle I was interested in and she was able to answer all my questions and concerns. She also came last minute to the dealership when I decided to purchase my vehicle of interest on her day off!!! She followed up with me after I purchased my vehicle to congratulate me and addressed any other questions that I might have as well. I truly appreciated it! Highly responsive, personable, competent response to my sudden auto problem. A mouse took shelter in my engine in the cold MN weather. The critter decided to chew on some engine wires causing significant damage wires connected to the drive train. Fortunately the fix was easy (wire replacement) and inexpensive. Mini service was fabulous.

Chris was so helpful he had all the answers to our questions. After some miscommunication between us, the call center, and the service advisor we ended up having a disappointing service appointment. GM Bob Cooksey stepped up and had a driver come and get the car from my work, bring it to the dealership for service, and then back. Little things like that make a big difference.

BEWARE of the service department. We brought our 2009 Mini in because the ‘check engine’ light was on. Service department told us we needed to replace the head gasket - at a cost of $5,700! Mind you, this was on top of the almost $3,000 in repairs they had done on the vehicle less than a year ago. This time we got smart, and brought it to Meineke for a second opinion. At the front end, Meineke told us it would be $2,500 to fix the head gasket if that was the issue - so less than half the cost (and consistent with the quote I got from another highly rated service shop). But after they looked at it, we learned that the radiator hose was leaking - so Mini could not have actually assessed whether there was an issue with the head gasket in the first instance. And, in fact, there wasn’t! Meineke ran it through the overnight analytics, and while there were other issues needing repair - the head gasket was fine. And the repairs that needed to be done cost well below what Mini was going to charge us to do a repair that wasn’t needed and wasn’t causing the issues. So be careful with this service department - and get a second (or, as I did) third quote before you use them to make sure they (a) know what they are talking about and are not giving you completely incompetent advice (b) are charging in line with what the repair should actually cost. I would give them zero stars if that were an option. Needless to say, after this experience,, we will never take a car there for repair; and are very very unlikely to even consider purchasing from them.

Really enjoyed our experience, and we are having a blast in our new MINI. Charlie who helped us was very knowledgeable and not pushy in the slightest. It was refreshing.

I take my mini here any time it needs service, outside of oil changes, because it’s the only dealership that will use OEM parts and I have a warranty on my car. Otherwise I would not bring it here, they over charge like crazy on everything. The overall inspection of the car is $150 even if you know what’s wrong they push you to get it checked. What’s worse is I had my mini here roughly two months ago and they did a full inspection of the engine, battery, tires, suspension, etc. and told me it was good (except for the items I had work done on). Flash forward to this week and my car won’t start in the cold weather even though they said my battery was nearly perfect. On top of that I know have a check engine light on that wasn’t there before. Only nice thing about service is that the rental/loaner car situation is simple and fast.

I bought a preowned Mercedes E Class (58K miles) about 2 months ago from them. Looked it over very good, everything seemed fine. About a month ago I started noticing oil on my garage floor. Took it in thinking maybe the oil filter wasnt installed correctly at some point. Ended up being a rear seal ($3K fix). I left a review for their dealership, without contacting them first (negative out of frustration from past experiences) and the General Manager contacted me to help resolve the issue. In hindsight, I’d recommend contacting them if you have anything come up post-purchase. They are clearly customer focused.

***The recommendation I have for anyone that wants a Mini - just buy it from motowerks mini (or another mini dealership) and have the assurance that you didnt just buy a bag of expensive problems. -we love our Mini Cooper! - but we should have shopped here instead of marketplace to get one. Excellent mechanics at there shop.

Service team was able to fix an surprise issue with tire stem caps frozen on stems. Granted these were Mini S upgrade caps to begin with, but they made a lot of extra effort on an oil change to fix this issue. Great communication and was able to get me on the road with minimal extra expense.i have to also compliment the whole team for handling Covid issues well. No touch work scope review and payment with minimal contact with distancing to drop off and pick up Mini.

The service team was great. They were very thorough, checked everything, provided a video before my service was agreed upon, and even checked on warranty items since my Mini is used. Went into MINI with the hopes to source my perfect idea of a MINI Clubman. After being told it would be quite difficult to find the car with the exact amount of details I was looking for, I was considering taking the search into other avenues. Just then they happened to receive a car that fit every detail I was looking for and even a few extras! Glad to have finally joined MINI family and will be a customer for many years to come.

They did a fantastic job with my lease swap. All of the negotiating, paperwork, and car prep was done ahead of time. Phong was very communicative, and made the process seamless and quick. The new car was clean and ready to go when I arrived. They quickly assessed the car I was returning, and got me in and out in less than an hour. I love the car, and they called to check on how I was doing a couple days later. Great experience!

I had an exceptional experience purchasing a CPO Mini Cooper S from Charlie. As an out of state buyer he went above and beyond to show me the condition of the car. He took the time to send a personal video of the interior and exterior and even shared the inspection report. His love of minis was apparent in the videos and my new mini will be forever referred to as “a little honey with a banging stereo!” He was very open and trustworthy during the entire process and always available via email, text and calls, even on his day off. When it came to the purchase of the vehicle we met with Phong over zoom. Phong took his time and explained all of the additional protection options available with no pressure of purchasing. He was very responsive to follow up questions regarding the skip chip protection which I ended up purchasing. Charlie and Phong worked hard to get the skip chip installed prior to me picking up the car which was only a few days. I flew in from out of state to pick up the car and Charlie went out of his way to pick me up from my hotel, something he didn’t have to do but was very much appreciated in 5° weather. At the dealership, Charlie and Phong had everything in order which made for a quick, seamless signing process. I have to say that I have never had a buying experience that was this enjoyable or with two people that were just all around great guys. I highly recommend purchasing a Mini from Motowerks and working with Charlie and Phong, they were worth the 1,700 mile trip home!

Beyond satisfied with my wife and my experience at Motorwerks MINI!!! We spent 4+ hours from start to finish but at least 3 hours of that was me himming and hawing about what model and features were a match to our needs. There are a lot of options to consider. Original purchase went well. My daughter had issues with a repair was charged $700. For a hood latch without prior authorization. Tried talking to her sales person with no response. Talked to another sales person to get information out and try to understand the problem. Owned the car for less then 3 months when latch broke. Very bad service and follow up. Would not recommend going to this place.

Would warn about buying a car with these guys, dealership uses these unprecedented times to sell the car, giving you the best deal you could possibly imagine, then you walk into to do the final walk/put dt on the car, to learn that the deal isnt as sweet as expected. Dont believe them, ask them a lot of questions, they are not transparent - the buying experience was horrible. GM Bob is a bully, he will be the first to back out of the deal and make you feel like you owe him your life. Would recommend to stay away.

Although I was bummed to have to replace a timing chain on my 2012 Mini Cooper Countryman S All4 I can tell you that the whole process was amazing to include step by step video from the engineer and service manager. I was able to see virtually everything that was going on with my Mini.Midway through the repair Bob Cooksey whom I believe is the GM reached out to assure me that not only was the work of his engineers warranted he would ensure 100% satisfaction. I honestly felt like I was dealing with a high performing team of Navy Seals.My son is the primary driver of the Mini and there were amazing options presented and made available to transition into a different Mini, however, we ended up sticking with our All4. So far, 100% satisfied.I would highly recommend Montorwerks Mini and trust me, youll be taken care of. These are class people and highly skilled engineers that have left my son and I with peace of mind. Happy Motoring!

I had my 2018 Countryman S in for service because I needed an oil change. I had them do a general check over. They found that my tires needed rotation and the alignment was off. They corrected all items needed and most were covered by the warranty still in affect. They did a great job and did them in a timely matter. They also explained to me what they did and what items needed to monitored such as tread left on the tires. The service staff helpful and knowledgeable about the repairs.

Motorwerks had the best service for my Mini. Loved my loaner car and if ever Id want to upgrade, this would be the place Id come first. The gentleman I dealt with was Jake, and he went over and above his job to make sure I was informed with all the steps they were taking with my car.
