Walking into this establishment you get the feelings of being calm, cool and relaxed. I highly enjoy the coffee here, and the book selection enables you to just sit and relax while sipping on a nice hot brew. The customer service is phenomenal and every one is very nice. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy a nice cup of coffee.

Beans Foster is my favorite place to go in Golden Colorado. The staff is welcoming and always friendly. They have books all over the place that you could read as you drink your coffee. The wifi is fantastic and they have nice stations near the windows for you to work from. Ive taken plenty of meetings from here and never had issues with my sound. My favorite items on the menu are their seasonal lattes and the daily scones that so good even Larry David would be happy with.

Very tasty lavender coffee latte with beautiful leafs on top of latte-foam-cream. There are also delicious snakes and cakes, paninis. The atmosphere there are created by many shelves with books in it. You can taste and read mean time.

I had an incredible vanilla bean latte ! Just wish they had coconut milk but I know its not as popular . They did have oat or almond. Cute atmosphere, cant wait to come back.

Nice little spot. We were paying with cash and they only took cards so they actually bought our 2 coffees, which were delish. If thats not customer service I dont know what is. 4 stars is because they didnt accept hard currency.

This place is an old school coffee house with books. One day I literally bought a small brewed coffee sat down and read The grapes of wrath all the way through and not once did anyone give me a dirty look or complain. Theyre very friendly people.

A very cozy place to have a stylish latte (in a real cup and saucer) along with a quick tasty snack. The tables on one side are surrounded by barely used books. The other side has plenty of outlets and room for relaxing internet or PC work. We felt very comfortable and didnt feel rushed to leave. The staff was very friendly and professional, and could research any of the books for sale. I highly recommend this place!

I love coming into this shop because the all-white customer crowd stares at me in shock as if thinking “A MEXICAN HAS ENTERED THE ESTABLISHMENT, I had no idea Mexicans read and drank coffee” and so their little white bubble gets popped. Anyway their coffee is delicious :)

I was given a pretty poor, decaf Americano. It was undrinkable. I endured 3 sips before dumping it. I like my coffee smooth, somewhat sweet, and creamy. This was anything but. I do like the ambience, and the used book store feel to the place. I gave a poor review, initially, but the owner reached out and sent me a $5 gift certificate. I returned a few days later, and tried another decaf Americano. Instead of an espresso drip, they tried a slow drip through a filter. The result was better, but alas, this simply may not be my type of coffee. But the fact that the owner seems to genuinely care for his customers is worth at least 4-stars.

Came here with my two kids, grabbed a latte and my little ones played with LEGO’s and read books. The atmosphere is really nice, kinda a quite buzz of conversation easy to work in and just have a relaxing talk.

Very good coffee and food but a bit overpriced

This is one of those hidden gems that once you find it youll return regularly and want to tell others but might not because you want to keep it a secret! In addition to friendly service, theres a great book selection, and delicious coffees and teas. I reccommend the iced chai thats a mix between regular and spicy. Delicious! And dont forget to check out Period Six Studio next door, a charming space decked out with local artisans and an amazing collection of jewelry, pottery, body care products, and more!

One important aspect of any business is consistency of quality and seeking to cultivate a better and better product. Striving for excellence should be the motivating factor in any enterprise. Unfortunately at Bean Fosters that “motivating factor” does not seem to be present nor that of consistency in their product. So in experiencing this cafe twice, I’ve had two very different experiences. The first time I went there I bought a kambucha, which I think was mango flavored, and it was quite good. I also had a pesto panini, which was delicious, small but delicious. The second time I went there I ordered a kambucha again, it was truly disgusting, I think that who ever “brewed” and it was trying some sort of pineapple experiment that went terribly wrong, it tasted rotten, not fermented. The other item I ordered was a “breakfast burrito” with sausage, it was very tiny and overpriced, the flavors were banal.If the owner of the establishment wants to make and keep patrons please make sure that your product not only has consistency but excellence.Thank you.

This shop definitely cares about their coffee, but since switching to a verbal tipping system during COVID, it feels like a tip is expected and service is completely different if you don’t tip. Their coffee prices are already higher than most places, and I’m fine paying it, but “expecting” a tip has made this an awkward experience ever since covid began.

Best latte ever!

We were super excited to try this spot but were unfortunately very disappointed. When we arrived there was only a family of 3 ordering before us and it wasn’t crazy busy inside. There were a few people who had ordered before we arrived (clearly) but it took a FULL 20 minutes to receive our 3 lattes and 1 French press. The coffee was good, but 20 minutes is crazy to wait and there was no sense of urgency whatsoever. All about supporting local businesses which is why we chose this over Starbucks, but based on our experience I personally wouldn’t return especially if I was looking for a quick grab and go.

I love this place! The coffee is great, the food is solid, and it is fun to peruse the used books. It is a great place to do work or meet with a friend or colleague. It is bustling but you usually can find a table. The concept of having a coffee shop that is also a used book store is brilliant.

Very nice place! Clean, really nice staff, and cozy! They have coffee and some pastries (they have some gluten free and vegan ones too!), As well as a chess table set up. Nice selection of books of all different genres. The atmosphere of the place is very nice.

Give yourself an extra 10 minutes when dropping by on your way to work. I absolutely understand that it’s not Cattlecall Starbucks but waiting 10 minutes for an Iced Coffee can be frustrating for someone who’s not as patient as I am. I love the people and the coffee.I’ve been back multiple times since and the service has been substantially better. I’m glad to see they’ve stepped it up!

The location could be better, but its worth the drive. Its a relatively small used book store but it has a great selection and a relaxing/welcoming environment. I often stop by to get a coffee and read a book off the shelf. If i like the book after a chapter or two, ill purchase it to bring home. If you are driving to downtown Golden from Denver or Lakewood, stop here on your way!

Bean Fosters is a great place to grab a delicious cup of coffee while catching up on work or hanging out with friends. Their coffee and tea is very good, and the staff friendly and prompt. The bookstore, being comprised of used items, leaves a little to be desired as the contents are a bit picked over. Overall, though, it is far better than, say, Starbucks by just about any appreciable measure.

The Coffee is Excellent, the Staff is Excellent and the atmosphere is relaxing and uplifting at the same time... Balanced.. Plenty of seating, lots of great used books to buy. But lets not forget that the main attraction is the coffee... and oh by the way... there is homemade goodies. Some Gluten Free... some not.. I had a homemade Salted Caramel treat. So glad I stopped in!

Ivw been coming here for nearly every Wednesday for 2 years. Drinks are always consistent and always a place to sit, although electrical outlets are limited Id you need to plug in. I find it gets a bit chilly here and this is not picky of me but the chairs scraping across the floor every time people get up can be really obnoxious. Some simple felt pads would be amazing!!! Music is always good coffee house chill and the views of table mountain are lovely!

Love this place. Studying, post climb hangouts- best location around for coffee, wifi, ambiance, and smallbites. I havent yet explored the used book portion of Bean Fosters but one day I will venture over to the Far West corner of the cafe and check it out.

They serve great coffee and the bars with power strips along the windows are great for working. I especially enjoy the book store feel, makes it so much more than just a coffee shop. I also like that they take their time to carefully make espresso drinks and arent rushing to get out a sub-par beverage so that people can just leave the store faster.

Love the style of this place! The book shelves create little private-ish nooks to read or visit with friends while you enjoy delicious, well crafted coffee!

My new favorite hangout! Loads of books to browse through, including classics not just pulp fiction. Excellent coffee & personable service. Space for a quiet study spot, as well as tables with games. It even has a corner with Legos for the little people.

Good coffee (Novo coffee roasters from Denver), good food (locally made), and kind staff. We go a few times a week as its convenient and good.The staff can be a bit slow, so be aware that this is not the place to go if youre under a time crunch.

My mom & I had a great time at Bean Fosters! It was our first time in, and being from the Pacific Northwest we are both pretty picky about our coffee. Our coffees were made perfectly! Great selection of coffees, teas, flavors, pastries & breakfast/lunch options. Cant wait to get back in and try their Pour Over! Its my favorite!

Go here. They know their coffee and its a sort of semi-bookstore. Not like a full blown bookstore coffeeshop, but a well done 1/2 & 1/2. Look forward to going back!

Hot chocolate was bland. And really watery.

This is what we hope all coffee shops should inspire to. First, the coffee was some of the best Ive had ... crafted with pride, and hot! The staff was warm and inviting. The books were well organized and available at great prices. The seating is abundant and comfortable. I will be back ... this time with more friends!

Theres a serious problem with their online order system. The last two times Ive placed an order Ive arrived at the store when its supposed to be ready and my order has not been started yet.

Always friendly staff, great coffee, and never rush you out. It gets hard to find a table around finals time with Mines students coming in, camping out, and staying all day. Like I said, they dont rush you out. Maybe they should 🙃
