Amazing experience taking my girlfriend here on a date! The owner was very friendly and helpful mixing scents for candles. 10/10 recommended while checking out Golden. Go make and candle and while waiting for it to solidify walk around other shops!

My little sister and I stopped in here on a whim and Im so glad we did! The owners were so nice and the experience I had with my little sister was way better than anything else we could have done. The fact that they serve drinks is amazing too. Ill definitely bring other friends here when they come to visit.

I went to Mountain Lux with one of my girlfriends following brunch. We had so much fun coming up with our perfect candle scents! This business is family owned, and it shows. The employees were so friendly and helpful! If you are looking for a fun date or friend outing try this out!

Love this place. Local-family owned, super friendly. Lots of great scents and prices are competitive. Easy parking in multi-level garage 1 block behind the shop. Candles take 2+ hours to solidify so plan to walk downtown or come back the next day. Cool experience.

The candle scents are quality! The scents don’t fade like other candles. I went for an office team building and it was so fun getting to know people smell preferences over wine :). My husband loved my candle so much he kept it in his home office so I went back with my dad. It was surprising to have scents bring back precious memories! I highly recommend this spot for date night, father/daughter time or team building. You won’t find more genuine people.

What a gem of a place! This family owned and run operation is a fabulous place for a girls night out to do something creative.Sharon and her family walked us through every step of the process to make our candles and the six of us had a great time. The scents are just delicious and there are so many to choose from so whatever you like, Im sure they have it.We were headed to dinner afterwards and they even delivered our candles to us down the street!Top notch service, product and people. We had a birthday party celebrating my friend’s birthday. We enjoyed smelling every candle, and making our own scents! The staff was simply delightful. They went the extra mile to make us all feel loved. We enjoyed getting to know them all. They knew we would be eating a meal near by, and hand delivered our candles with the cutest bags ever. I recommend this amazing establishment to anyone looking for a relaxing way to be creative and have fun.

I was very excited to surprise my wife with this amazing treat of a place. The owners made the experience priceless. With a reserved table my wife and I enjoyed a warm welcome and a very thorough introduction into candle making. The whole process from sipping a glass of wine to pouring our own custom one of a kind scents is an experience we are going to share with our friends and family time and time again.Highly recommended! My girlfriend and I chose Mountain Lux for our ladies outing and had an absolute BLAST!! They estimate 30 minutes to make your candle; but we had so much fun that our approximate 2-hour session seemed like 15 minutes. Highly recommend!!!

I love love love this place and the people that run it. They were beyond nice and so accommodating due to Covid and trying to plan a bachelorette party out of state. I will 100% tell people to go to Mountain Lux Candles if they are looking for things to do in Golden.

This is such a wonderful place. I took my two grown daughters, and we made candles and room scents. The owners are friendly and so helpful with picking the scent combinations. Very reasonably priced, and a great way to spend an hour or so, walk around and have a bite to eat in Golden, and then pick up your candles the same day! We will definitely return, and think everyone should experience this wonderful shop!!

My daughter and I had the best time making our custom candles. We both made completely different scents and we were so excited about them when we left. This is a family run business and I was so impressed at how kind and helpful the girls were. They all work hard as a team to make sure that you have an awesome experience and make the perfectly scented candle.

This place is great and super affordable! It is owned by an adorable family that are incredibly friendly. They walk you through the whole process and the candles you get to keep are very high quality and custom scented to your taste. Highly recommend this!

Came here with my aunt from out of town.. Honestly it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in CO. The entire store is family owned and operated by Mom Dad and 3 sisters. They were super helpful in the whole process. Definitely recommend checking this place out. Takes about 1.5hrs to create your own candle but the experience is worth the wait.. 🔥

This place is awesome! Family-owned & run business. We stopped over while we were in Golden after a tour of the Coors factory, and loved the idea that you can make your own candle. They also have pre-made candles on hand, but the ability to choose your own combination of fragrances and make your candle was really neat. They were very hands-on and helpful, and made us feel welcome. Must see when youre in Golden!

This was SUCH a fun experience. I was not thrilled that my friends wanted to go make candles, but it was a fantastic experience! They have you make your mix of scents to make our own scented candle. The family who runs this business is ADORABLE and are some of the friendliest, most enjoyable people!! They are very knowledgable with which scents pair well and will gently guide you to making a great candle. I live over an hour away and am already planning my next trip here!

I had my bachelorette party here and we had a blast! The staff was so warm and welcoming. We had a few appetizers, made candles and listened to music. My mom unfortunately couldnt make it last minute and the owner was so sweet and let me make her a candle on the house since she missed out on my special night.
