Friendly staff and good customer service. We only shop here when we need something small or last minute because their prices are about double or triple our usual suppliers. Too bad they dont offer competitive business discounts because Id use them often if prices were more comparable. But I do like the convenience of a west side metals supplier.

Ordered 6063 aluminum. Started working with it on Saturday and discovered that they provided 6061.Their suggestion? Bring it back and well exchange it.Too little, too late. The material was for a weekend project. Driving a 1 1/2 hour round-trip on the following Monday to resolve THEIR error wouldnt really resolve the issue.I definitely wont be going back.

These guys have a huge selection and weve purchased from them several times. Only thing I would say is that they can also be expensive. They are not our main aluminum dealer, but have a lot of the specialty materials that we needed. Their customer service and help is always on point. Im not sure if the offer delivery, but we always pick up our orders from their warehouse.

This place has great deals on off-cuts which is exactly what I was looking for. Just needed some random pieces of steel, stainless and aluminum to teach some tig welding and the selection and quality were great, and price was way better than I was expecting.

I stopped in to check this place out -Shop around - Altitude is just 10 minutes down 6th ave. Check your prices.The prices I saw for drops and for standard square tube were like double what Im paying for small quantities elsewhere in Denver. If youve got a niche product, fine, go ahead and charge whatever the hell you want, but when you are selling a commodity like mild steel in standard sizes - wow. Buyer beware. Shop around.

I needed a very small piece of aluminum cut. Considering the pandemic, I had a bit of a hard time getting a quote, but they cut it super fast, exactly what I needed for very cheap so I didnt have to buy a whole sheet. They were friendly too! Absolutely will go for any metal needs.

Steven cost my company significant time and money. Pictured below are two steel plates with identical MTRs. The one on the right was ordered from metal supermarkets. It was rusty wavy and way out of thickness tolerances, the one on the left was ordered from a trustworthy supplier and was clearly marked and within one thousandth of advertised thickness. Steven refused to replace the bad material, and instead offered a 10% discount on my next purchase. The good material I ended up buying was actually cheaper than the garbage from metal supermarkets. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY.

This place used to be my go to for metal in the area, not anymore. They moved and since nothing I order is stocked so have to be ordered. Have to prepay for the ordering, and now after 2 orders they say they dont have my credit card on file (did for the last order somehow) and need to me to call in. As other reviews say, this means 2 min long message plus wait to get a hang up or leave msg for call back that might happen a day or so later. Might want to go elsewhere if you value your time.

Ordered some metal for pickup. When I got there they had me pay right away and just dropped it in the truck without my confirmation it is actually what I wanted. You are suppose to approve of the metal before they cut and you receive it. This is in their terms of sale found on their website. Customer is suppose to accept products before receiving them. Well they brought metal that was way to thick and I explained to the girl on the phone what I was looking for and that I would be down there shortly. They cut the wrong metal before I even payed for it. They didnt want and would not refund me. I went back in after reading their terms of sale and explained to them and the guys in their ganged up on me and told me absolutely no refunds what so ever. So customer service side is getting 1 star and as well as the warehouse worker for cutting the metal before I paid. Ill give girl at counter four stars since she was not rude and seemed to not intervene.

Ill return here again! Friendly, helpful and pleasant. Right! pleasant isnt exactly what youd expect for steel supplier but the office staff enjoy their environment and made my simple one off purchase easy and fun. They also referred me to a welder which is my next five star review.

Went in for a 10 piece of 2x2x1/8 square tubing. Was told it wouldnt be ready until tomorrow and cost 66.xx. Told them thats ridiculous and walked out. Got a 12 piece at C&M for half that price.

Your guys (like Dave in Wheatridge) knew their Al alloys and were able to steer me to sheet, to shear to 2 strips instead of my original idea of 2 flat stock. I needed tight 90 degree bends with very small inside radii and they saved me from getting stuck with an unsuitable alloy.Thats the kind of professional support that will keep me coming back.

These guys are great! My husband and I are hobbyist furniture builders and we recently took on a big project with a lot of metal fab work, the owner really helped us spend time finding the right metal for our project. We’ll be going back in the future.

Their prices are extremely high. If you need volume look elsewhere.Customer Support in the front office is not very helpful and often are rude.The guys out back are helpful, but usually busy. They do let you buy remnants which is nice.

Would give more stars but their customer service really sucks. Called and the guy was rude on the phone and acted like I should know everything about metal (I dont do this everyday), and when I got there just the same. I was super nice too! They were rude to other customers UNTIL the boss walked in! Their attitudes changed QUICK, instantly nicer to people on the phone and werent rude to the guy who walked in next. Maybe he should just be there all of the time?The metal was what I needed so they still get their 3 stars. :)

My experience at Metal Supermarket was very good. I was greeted right away with a friendly hello, well be right with you sir. The salesman called me over to find out what I was there for. I told him what I needed and he escorted me out to the floor where I found a very clean, neatly organized selection of different sizes, shapes, and types of good metal stock. The prices were very reasonable, and they had my order done in good time. One piece had to be pulled down from the racks and took a little longer and everyone seemed to be concerned about my wait which wasnt long. I will definitely be going back for my future metal needs.

These guys should offer some kind of customer service. Make sure you check their bargain bin before ordering. They charge 1/3 the price for twice the metal but they wont tell you that over the phone. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Went to get some metal. They claim to be for the little guy not needing big lots. Talking with a young man named Chris in the back about what I needed and the location manager came out, stared at us and shot a dirty look. I went into the office to order and he was short, quiet and actually rude. I got no thank you or anything. The young man Chris was awesome. He was very helpful and a great listener. If I ever go back it will only be because Chris saved the experience for me. The manager should be fired! Maybe he was having a bad day, but he absolutely ruined the experience. And other people in the lobby experience the same as we discussed it when he walked away. Shame on Metal Supermarkets for having a manager like that. There are plenty of other options and places to shop.

Metal Supermarkets is a great resource for a small fabricator like me. I buy most of my steel from Denver dealers when I have a largish order, but often you just need one or two things you didnt anticipate. Metal Supermarkets is responsive and user -friendly. You can get pricing by phone or email, no minimum order, and custom cutting. Sometimes I pick up the order in Wheat Ridge, but I have also had orders delivered to my shop in Boulder....works great! Good outfit all around.

I had them make a stainless steel bench top for me. They were awesome, arranged to get it bent and delivered it to me within the week. When I received it, I didnt notice until the next day that the piece was 2 short. It was the shortest customer service call I have had in a long time, no excuses, just checked the measurements and We will get another one out to you. Within the week the new and perfect top was in my garage.I am just a homeowner who needed a single piece of something a little out of the ordinary, they treated me very well through the whole process and fixed the mistake without hesitation.

Placed a order online for local pick up, they charged my card, sent a confirmation that said it would be ready in 1-2 days. I never heard from them so I called the Wheat Ridge store to follow up and check status. I was informed that they(the Wheat Ridge store) declined to fill my order. NOBODY called to tell me, they claim they are out of stock and cant get that material in Denver...funny Home Depot has it. BUT they did offer to substitute Stainless Steel instead of the Aluminum I ordered for 3x the cost. I then was told to call their e-commerce site, where I was told theyll check and see if another store might have it but Id have to pay shipping. I need this to finish a job I am under contract to finished by a certain outdate. I am now having to spend more money to buy the same material at Home Depot and they still have my money wrapped up, as their corporate office has yet to call me back. Where is customer service, there was no concession, no well make it right, just pay us more money. Avoid this company at all cost.

I called and the girl on the phone was very friendly. When I visited the store their willingness to take care of my request was awesome even though I was only there for a 1 off request.

Cant say enough about this shops professionalism. Everyone there is courteous and they dont drag their feet assembling your order. I recently started a small fabrication business building trail accessories for Mercedes SUVs. My shop space is limited and the convenience of having material cut to the lengths I need really helps. Ordered 76 of some crazy expensive DOM ($2.59 per INCH) and only received 66 of tube and my other piece that was supposed to be 1/4 wall was 3/16! Putting my whole weekend job on hold until I can get ahold of then Monday to hopefully get my new piece of material effectively putting me out of work for the weekend

Called and asked about some dom tubing. Was met with the response of flat bar or angle. No just tubing. Asked what they had for stick length knowing they were for smaller quantities and didn’t know if they carried 20 foot sticks. Was then met with the answer how much do you really need. I would like a 20 foot length if possible. Got put on hold for nearly 20 minutes. Quoted price was almost 500 dollars. Uhhhhh no thanks that’s outrageous considering multiple steel retailers in Denver have quoted under 200 dollars delivered. I’ll take my money else where

This place has the worst customer service Ive experienced in a long time. I was quoted a price for a number of 24 ft. square pipes cut in half. I paid and proceeded to wait for my steel to be cut. After a while I was informed that the gentleman that quoted me the price and took my money made a mistake and only charged me for 20 ft. lengths. Instead of realizing this and giving me what I was promised anyway, they admitted their mistake and gave me 20 ft. lengths even though I was quoted and promised a larger size. They were completely unapologetic and became quite rude when I pointed out that this was the worst customer service blunder ever. Save yourself the hassle and dont deal with these crooked liars.

These guys arent into specialty products, and cant special order anything. If they dont specifically have what you want in stock then they seem to lose interest in providing alternatives or quoting what they do have. metalsales is much more customer friendly!

I just tried to purchase metal from this store, which I was a returning customer. I had one of the guys behind the desk look at me..... continuing to look.... continuing to look.... so I finally said hello. Still looking..... I said hello again. After giving me a condescending look, he finally spoke saying, what you got. I was flabbergasted. I said back to the guy, Really, you arent even going to say hello to me? Still looking...... I told them this was ridiculous service and that I would be taking my business elsewhere. I am just blown away by people who act like they dont want to do business with you or you are disturbing them in some way. I hope it was just this one employee because I have gotten good service there before but if they continue communicating in this way, they will not have to worry about being polite to people because they wont have a job or a business to run.

L needed a small piece of steel cut and drilled for a shim. I walked in and they cut the piece for me while I waited. I did not expect that service. Pleasantly surprised. I will be back.

Have never ordered from MSM and for good reason. Their customer service is oriented towards in store purchases only and deal with bigger clients it seams. Their staff is very rude on the phone. As a new business I am unsure of what terminology to use when ordering materials. For that reason they are very short and have no patients in helping you figure out what materials I needed. I tried to view the web page and base my order from there. I called the wheatridge location and the sales rep told me the web page is b.s. And at they dont stock much of what is on the web page. I can say Alcam Metals has treated me very well and their clients are much bigger purchasers than MSM. Good luck getting my business MSM.
