Dent Experts is the best body shop in the Santa Barbara area. I cannot begin to express how happy I am with Dent Experts, their technicians and in particular Kaylee, the manager of the shop. My BMW was hit in a hit and run a few months ago. I had been going back and forth with my insurance for weeks about getting the car repaired when they finally told me my car would be a total loss.I felt helpless. I love my car and the last thing I wanted to do was get rid of it or have it considered salvage. I called Dent Experts as a last chance attempt at saving my car. Thank god I did! Kaylee knew exactly what I was going through and went ABOVE AND BEYOND working with me on a estimate to fix my car at a price that would prevent it from becoming a total loss.Dealing with Dent Experts felt like I was dealing with family friends. Kaylee treated me as though I had been a costumer with them for 20+ years. I have never experienced a business with such integrity, professionalism, customer service and skill. 11/10 in every way possible.Long story short Kaylee and the Dent Expert technicians not only repaired my car, they made it look better than when I bought it a couple years ago. My car is back on the road with a clean title and looks unbelievable. My advice to anyone in need of body work is to make Dent Experts your first choice, go to shop.

Wow, where do I even begin. I unfortunately was T-boned by another party in my beautiful 1990 mustang gt, whom the person at fault had a very minimal and basic insurance policy, which right off the bat they deemed a total. Even though I knew the car wastt indeed salvage. Kay Lee, the forewoman was adamant on battling it out with this pathetic insurance company called Alliance united, and after many sleepless nights and back and forth phone calls, Kay Lee and dent experts where able to do it, and pull off the unexpected! The car is no longer a pending salvage and I can get my stickers that I had already paid for back in December. Now the fix itself was flawless, and seamless, almost as if it had never happen. Thank you to Dennis, George, Tyler, and Alex for putting in the work needed to get this done for me. I was rolling around on tags from DEC of 2017, and now not only will my tags be reissued but I will be receiving the insurance payment from the money I spent outta pocket to fix it. Lastly the over all finished product was immaculate. Thank you Zach for laying down the paint, and being perfectly color matched(I have a black car so its the hardest color to paint) but never the less you nailed. I dont think that can say anymore good thing about Dent Experts. Without a doubt I will be a returning customer to have work done. Long story short these guys know what they are doing! Thumbs up to Dent Experts! Take my word for it, these guys should be the first people you call regarding frame off restos, fender benders, painless dent repair and so much more. Whenever our family needs anything done in regards to bodywork, we always go to Dent Expert. Pricing is fair, and the job they do is always top notch!Weve had cars in accidents, trash trucks hit one of them while it was parked, dents... all of it was fixed beautifully by the experts at Dent Expert!

I took my beloved 1984 VW Westy to this shop after receiving recommendations from friends. I needed to get the rust removed from the typical places on the van. I dropped it off on a Monday and was told it would be 3-4 days until it was ready. When I called to check in they said that it would be ready for me on Friday. When I asked the manager to look for a particular part on the van she spotted a massive rust spot on the roof that the workers failed to bring to her attention. With the additional repair they assured me that I would be getting the van back my Monday.Not sure what happened but Monday turned into the following Friday and when I arrived at 5:30 on Friday afternoon they were still cleaning the van and the manner was addressing some re-wiring as I arrived and had to wait for them to finish... Not a good sign. Instead of 3-4 days the van was there for a total of 12 days. (10 business days) Certainly the van did not require 12 days of work and must have spent most of the time sitting around with no windshield in it.Upon picking up the van the manager asked me if I liked cats... Apparently there is a shop cat that likes to sleep in the cars there. With no windshield in the car for almost 2 weeks my van was a prime target for the cat to sleep in it and was evident by the amount of cat hair I found inside the van.Once I got the van back I was able to look more closely at the job they did. Here is what happened:1. There were some parts of the van that are bubbly where they repainted. Either the paint was contaminated or improperly prepped.2. There were hundreds of rust flakes/ debris that I found under the dashboard and in various vents within the dash. These rust bits will cause rust to form in these areas over time is extremely concerning that they were that careless.3. I looked under the windshield seal where they were supposed to remove rust and found several spots where rust was still visible. The whole point of the repair was to grind away the rust and re paint. They even failed at this.4. I have found 2 rubber washers used to mount the roof panel to the van. These are essential to use as they prevent metal on metal contact between the mounting hardware and the body. With out these washers the metal will rub away the paint causing rust to form in these locations.I brought up these issues and they were able to eventually correct their mistakes, but a painful experience non the less.

I hate to say it, but Ive needed dent expert several times. And theyve always been great - practical, efficient, low cost and so nice.
